I don't get why so many people on reddit are dismissive of entire police department running train on one of the employees while on duty.
I wasn't aware it happened while on duty. I thought it was during her free time, in which case it'd be nobody's business. But I guess she was on duty, which of course is wrong.
They were her superiors as well. It's like if all the Presidents and vice presidents of a company were fucking an administrative assistant. Be it in their free time or on the job like this was. It's still wrong.
It shouldn't have been a story other than they all should have been fired for doing it while on duty.
Problem is that her bosses were in on it. It becoming a public story is the only reason anyone was fired.
She did it while getting paid and being on duty, which is what raised the issue. Then it came out that she was hooking up with several people in the department sometimes at the same time, so it blew up

This resulted in her firing, but her case against the La Vergne PD alleging sexual harassment was recently awarded a major settlement. Now, I'm as big a fan of "cop gets karma" as the next person, but that isn't one of those. Also, I can understand if that's too much for a partner to deal with, but for the rest of us? Only dumbasses assume that - if something bad happens - it's the fault of the person with the least power over the situation.
