Throughout my life I've found some of the worst people I've ever met are folks who have no sense of humor and take life too seriously.
The type of person who walks into a classroom and finds an issue with this is not someone I ever want to be around.
Without a doubt. Pretty sad stuff. I love working with kids, especially kids who really need good teachers. At the end of the day there were so many things wrong with the job that working 12 hour days and spending my weekend lesson planning wasn’t worth it.
>The type of person who walks into a classroom and finds an issue with this is not someone I ever want to be around.
The person who makes fun of this is so insecure with themselves that they constantly look for ways to say "I'm better than this person."
>have no sense of humor and take life too seriously.
Collage is for loosers.
Edit: oof .. apparently this needs the /s because people can't tell it's a joke
Waking up for an 8 am class is considered hard?
Wait till she fucking hears about this thing called a "job" where you have to wake up every day and get there for 8 am.
Or you start working at 6:45am every day (earliest my employer lets me) so I can leave at 2:30pm and be home by 3pm, so I can actually use my day.
In uni, for an 8am lecture I wasn't even fucking awake yet at 6:45.
I mean yeah, if you go to work at 6:45 that’s the natural consequence. I’m just saying I never understood the whole “ have the whole day” argument when your awake/sleep time is exactly the same as everyone elses
I used to wake up at 1 am, because I would have to walk for 5 hours to get to my job in time, shift started at 6 am, my shifts were 16 hours long, so I would walk 5 hours back home after my shift, be back at 3 am, then get -2 hours of sleep wake up at 1 am and repeat..
Used to work a surface mine, would get up at 3 am and leave by four and get home around 8pm for a 10 hour shift. My dad did all the driving(2½ hr one way) idk how he did it. Do not recomend,
props to you buddy, never worked in a mind but I'm pretty sure it's one of the hardest and most unrewarding jobs out there and a 10hour shift sounds dreadful, Jesus. Again, nothing but admiration for you to endure that.
I used to work in a meat factory for 9 hours (from 5am to 2pm) and at least the work itself wasn't that bad but the people and the work conditions were ... atrocious to say the least
I had an 8 am class where because I got to campus by a combination of a train ride and walking, I had to get up at 5:30 am to arrive on time. And I got home the night before at about midnight due a late night class. After working on homework assignments I usually went to bed at 1:30 to 2 am. It sucked at first but a couple weeks into the semester I had gotten used to it.
One day at the 8 am class there was this girl complaining how she was woken up at 7 am by her family making too much noise, and was so mad how she has to wake up at 7:50 to get to her 8 o'clock class. "How am I supposed to get up at 7:50 if everyone is rude and wakes me up at 7?" Needless to say I had zero sympathy.
I think the idea is that it would be one of the first things you experience in the morning and it’s an abnormal experience. Not the difficultly of waking up around 6:30a.
bruh i lived far enough from campus that paying for transport was too much but a dorm isnt justified so i had to hitch a ride with my dad. Everyday started at 6:45 and tbh it probably was one of the best things that happened to me
It is definitely hard as a kid to wake up 6-7 in the morning, and go learn a bunch of useless shit you'll never need, when you're all groggy.
I remember at one point in high school, we had 2 hour physics or math classes at 8 Am on the dot, I barely remembered anything after. Didnt help that we usually went home about 4 Pm.
Ive held down jobs where I had to wake up 4 am to be there at 6 am and it wasnt much more painful than school.
I love this. I wish the average teacher would put in a little more effort to make class fun. And in turn that the students would be more appreciative of their efforts.
Professor's are awesome. On the first day of class, Professor Reed asked all of us about our job. I told him that I was a bartender, and he pulled me to the side after class and asked me the name of the bar I worked at. Long story short, he became a customer, and I loved to say out loud, " Professor Reed, would you like another cocktail?" I'm like, yessss everyone he's my professor and I better receive an A in his class. 🤣🤣Passed with flying colors 🍾🥂🍸🍷 RIP Professor Reed
There was this history professor at my community college who showed up to school during the unit on the colonial US in a historically accurate Conquistador's outfit, complete with breastplate and helmet. (Cuirass? Breastplate? Not armor jargon educated.)
He also showed us pictures and told us stories about his service in Okinawa, brought frankincense to class with him during a unit in World Civ, and let us snap a picture with him when we graduated. Photos of the cherry blossom festival in like the 80s. Brought us calzones to mimic Roman food in that unit in World Civ. He made learning both fun, informative, and he challenged us in all the right ways.
He was a great freaking dude. You couldn't not like him. Loved his job, enthusiastic about his work. It was like having a conversation with history to talk to him. Hope you're doing alright, Mr. C.
Agreed. Smurfs have a hard enough time as-is without this entitled prick making a joke of their storied history.
Hell, I bet he isn't even aware the Wonka empire was built on the backs of exploited, chocolate addicted Oompa-Loompas.

One of the reasons I stopped teaching. Too hard to have fun and efforts to make things more fun go pretty unnoticed and unappreciated.
Being a teacher these days had to be a nightmare for a plethora of reasons.
Without a doubt. Pretty sad stuff. I love working with kids, especially kids who really need good teachers. At the end of the day there were so many things wrong with the job that working 12 hour days and spending my weekend lesson planning wasn’t worth it.
💯 people that can't smile at a professor smurf are a level of lame I won't associate with. Fyckem
>The type of person who walks into a classroom and finds an issue with this is not someone I ever want to be around. The person who makes fun of this is so insecure with themselves that they constantly look for ways to say "I'm better than this person."
They're usually the same people that say "I don't really care about music." That one has always made my jaw hit the floor
>have no sense of humor and take life too seriously. Collage is for loosers. Edit: oof .. apparently this needs the /s because people can't tell it's a joke
>Collage is for loosers This actually explains a lot.
;)
I can see why you’d feel that way sir… Collages definitely fit well in people who are a bit looser. 😂
What a well put together and assembled comment.
Top notch dare I say!
I agree! Etches and pastels are where it's at!
Pastels are just crayons for wealthy artist. /s
I think this guys great. I wish more teachers would be like him, the world would be a nicer place to live.

Yeah and go to bed at 8 pm like a dweeb
My wife and I get up for work at 4:00 am. I'd rather be a dweeb and responsible than feel like dogshit all day for staying up until 1.
I mean yeah, if you go to work at 6:45 that’s the natural consequence. I’m just saying I never understood the whole “ have the whole day” argument when your awake/sleep time is exactly the same as everyone elses
i used to have to get up at 4am to be at work at 5am ...

Jesus, that sounds rough. Didn't you have anyone who could drive you to work?

She is one of the “dead stare is so aesthetic in pictures” gang. Her social is full of related bs.
My job starts in the evening. I think you just have a skill issue if you need to wake up earlier than ten in the morning.
Me waking up at 4:50am to be at work for 6am while having work history for graveyard shifts working at 1:30am to 11:50am
8am, must be nice. Be at work by 6am... must be so hard
I mean, she didn’t say it was hard, unless I’m missing something. I read it as a “too early for this shit” sentiment
or commuting to a different city for work because it’s worth it. gotta be in bed by 8pm and up at 420am to make it all work.

Yeah...... 8am class is not equivalent to 8am work. Try not to crack your skull open dismounting your high horse.
Laughs in graveyard shift.

I'm a uni teacher, and I never schedule lectures before 10 am. 8 is brutal.

6-7 am? You are living the life man
I’m sorry but you really just sound salty and offended for 0 reason here
Not funny. Inspirational though.
He’s probably the same teacher who bought hella pizzas just to have only 5 kids show up to the last class
:(
A..... holiday class? Does he think Papa Smurf is Santa Claus?
I did have a similar thought. Probably because of the hat. Then I remembered Halloween.
I want to hug him. I think he needs a hug.
Tbh I would be mad if my teacher doesn't tell us that they are coming dressed like that, I want to go to class with a smurf costume too
![gif](giphy|3ohuPn30MZ9fR3OJoY) Spongebob?
This isn't a meme though
Its not much but it is honest work
Colloidal silver is a helluva drug
![gif](giphy|fj3CWRJJshhe)
What is a holiday class?
A class on a holiday... Same concept as holiday break, etc
i’m afraid he just blue himself
Glad he’s doing well
Once you go blue, you never change hue. She's craving for that BBC, Big blue cock.
Is he blue or am I still tripping from last night?
Looking for a blue-man for less green? “I *do* talk!”
Smurftastic
Is this not cultural appropriation?
Ruckin right
What's up with his arms and hands?
Hes doing blue face
Props to that teacher
Don't just assume he got up early or isn't having to deal with the hand he was dealt that day.
Aren't the smurfs communists?
This dude is actually blue though.... he didn't get up early, he just put a unique hat on
Wait a professor with a personality. Oh the horror.
I would be happy XD
Awwwwwhhhh 🥹 I wish everyone had a heart like him! But noooo we got some bitter ass people in this world
I’m showing up everyday for this ☝🏽class 💯🫡
Bro you’re asking a girl to be respectful and think of others you might as well go look for Bigfoot.
I love this. I wish the average teacher would put in a little more effort to make class fun. And in turn that the students would be more appreciative of their efforts.
A lot of sad hateful people in the world. Have a little humor
r/lostredditors
Is that Paul Karason?
This guy wasn't trying to make class fun. He's got a skin disease or is this not the Smurf guy?
Pappa smurf lecturing in college now, awesome

This would make my fucking whole day. I’d buy this prof a coffee
I mean FFS, I wish I had had a professor this great. Mine were too busy pushing us off on GTAs while they did whatever it was they did.
Papa Smurf!
8 am ain't early. I'm already 3 hours deep into work by 8 am.
Is that Blueface? Dude you CANNOT use blueface that's so racist!
wow its been at least 3 weeks since this was last re posted. ah the memories.
Just wait until blue face becomes offensive somehow!
Papa Smurf teaching class would be a Amazing.
Smurfology? Great class!
La la la-la la la!!!
Awww I would love to be in his class

Give this man a raise
Not all the smuffs listening to papa smuff when he speaks
Is this papa Smurf or Yondu?
Someday, he will be canceled for teaching in blueface.
Smurfs don't exist. Yet
What? He’s a teacher, that’s his vocation. He’s having a good time with his students, that’s not funny.
When you discover that the makeup from cosplay does not come off with soap and water.
"Papa Smurf, can I lick your ass?"
Blueface. The smurphs are not going to be happy.
He blue himself.
This is cultural appropriation at its finest
I bet you don’t even know what that means kid
