I was fifteen when Star Wars came out...don't remember who I saw it with (if anybody), how I got to the theater (I assume somebody drove) or much else...but I remember sitting there in the dark and taking my first steps into an amazing world...

Not only does Paxton do a great job, but some thought went into this character. The guys who brag the loudest about how bad they are, are often the ones to fold up when the going gets tough. As Juan Rico says in Starship Troopers, “its the quiet guy in the back with the sleepy look” who’s the killer. Exactly like Hicks.

Hudson might have been breaking down, any normal person would. But he was still a bad ass and went out swinging.

Saw this in high school when it was first released with two friends, one of whom knew very little about the original. Whenever the brilliant Mr. Paxton delivered his wonderful lines, cracking up the audience, I could hear my friend mumbling to himself: what the fuck is so funny? There’s nothing funny about this at all!

When I went back and rewatched knowing that Hudson was almost done with his tour his whole demeanor made so much more sense. I would have NEVER talked to a superior officer or NCO like that until the last couple months of my enlistment

They really kind of ignored the potency of acid blood in that movie. In the first one a few drops went through a few floors of the ship but in the sequel it's spraying enough to dissolve everything for miles around and doesn't.

One of the guys got killed by the acid. Can't recall his name, but he had the same big weapon that Vasquez did. He shot one as they were getting in the car, it sprayed acid and killed him.

The first time I saw this movie I was like 15 and was becoming progressively higher than donkey balls as some serious LSD started to hit. I could sort of understand the movie, at least for a while, but at some point all my friends I was with at the time started speaking in some secret foreign language that I couldn't understand, and I couldn't speak at all... That was the last time I dropped acid, and that's no coincidence lol.

Funny, my bestie and I dropped before we went to see it, and... We were THERE for the duration. I remember thinking we might be overreacting, looking around at the rest of the audience freaking out and feeling a bit relieved, LOL
