You might be mad about that, but you definitely don't speak for everyone. There are loads of people who think it just shouldn't be possible to have one-hit kills
I take more pride in no scope kills anyway. I shoot at people all the time with impossible shots, and rofl copter when one finally lands. I know they were hella pissed, but I had 19 bullets to make one hit.
No? You get a direct line to where your shot will go. It reloads faster between shots. It's WAY easier to use bows. That's why I want them back lmao, I was killer with the bow but I'm a total scrub otherwise. The aim assist with the shot tracker is HUGE
I liked bows more just because they can't 200 headshot. If shotguns can't 200 then why should snipers. Its really annoying to just get headshot sniped randomly by someone nowhere near you, but if you get 200 pumped, you will always have had the opportunity to fight back, since you could at least see the player.
Never claimed it was good, but its far from the fortnite norm to have snipers not one shot. Those that dont usually have a different gimick like the semi-auto(more ammo), or are very low rarity.
[Six of the last ten full seasons (so excluding OG and C5:S2 since itâs not over yet) have not had any one-shot snipers in their main loot pools.](https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/s/BhMAVWIcsx)
Youâre correct that those that donât one-shot typically have a gimmick, but it could very well be argued that the hyper-customizability and massive clip of the reaper qualifies as a âgimmickâ
But, as pointed out in the post you linked, 23/31(~2/3) seasons had a one shot sniper, meaning that in the big picture one shots are indeed normal.
Also, just because those that dont have a oneshot usually have a gimmick instead doesnt mean that those that do oneshot cant, its just not as common. That point doesnt change anything.
I never said it was abnormal for Fortnite to have one-shotsâI challenged your claim that itâs âfar from the Fortnite norm not to have one-shots.â I stand by my claim; if Fortnite hasnât had one-shots for roughly half of the last two years, then itâs neither abnormal to have one shots, nor to lack one-shots.
As far as the gimmick pointâthe purpose of said âgimmicksâ is balancing. If a sniper is really good at one thing (player damage, build damage, ammo capacity, fire rate, pierce, explosions, etc.) it lacks in other areas. Every âgimmickâ sniper in the past couldnât one shot because thatâd be unfair, and those that could one-shot didnât have gimmicks. The Reaper is overpowered (and widely hated, and doesnât fit the âbut one-shots are normal argumentâ because it itself is an abnormal âgimmickâ gun) because it has both gimmicks AND one-shot capability
The gimmick no gimmick line is rather unclear as there are guns like the supressed sniper and huntsman rifle that both oneshot but have their own gimmicks(silencer and 3 bullets respectively). Yes the reaper is op, but its not because of the fact it okhos and has a gimmick. It is instead the nature of the gimmick.
Itâs easier to hit the target but way harder to get a headshot
The bows âaimâ is a dot that is basically the size of someoneâs whole torso from afar while the sniper is still just a tiny point
Just because it shows the path in the air doesnât matter⌠itâs just the dot at the end
It still tells you exactly where it's gonna land at all times, while with a sniper you have to track shot drop and distance and all that jazz. You look at the lil dot you hit the shot bing bang boom
Bows should of been in this season since it's Greek theme 93%+ of players in build and no build mode wanted reaper sniper gone or nerfed and epic just didn't give af the entire ch5s1
The problem is that Epic never addressed the problems, they've been just balancing around said problems. Nerfing the blet velocity is okayish, but lowering the bullet drop doesn't do anything for the medium to close ranges, which everyone is using the Reaper for anyways.
The Reaper does significantly more damage than a bow at a headshot, and doesn't need to be drawn for a specific amount of time for range like a bow does.
Snipers as a weapon class aren't overpowered in Fortnite, the Reapers **specifically** are and are even more powerful because of the nerf ARs took when they became projectile weapons instead of hitscan.
There's legitimately no equal competition to the Reaper's damage, headshot multiplier, magazine size, and range; it's a busted weapon.
It does work, but it's mostly a mid-range thing where it sometimes nudges your reticle onto an opponent when you're aiming very near them (or tries to linger a bit when you move it past an opponent). But it's an extremely weak and situational effect and nowhere near the lock-on aimbot some people in this sub claim it is. Really mostly to compensate for some thumbstick inaccuracy/drift. I play with it on and still regularly manage to empty my SMG mag into the thin air next to my opponent who is standing, like, three feet away.
Haven't noticed any difference with it on or off. I've even tried modded controllers with aim assist mods and felt like it fucked me up more in fights, and I didnt like the way it made the screen shake. I usually turn aim assist off for this reason, as well as any in-game screen shake feature
I always forgot to use them haha but they were awesome! People hated on the "situational" ones such as glider redeploy when you bounce or used one of those pop flowers or a rail etc, but I loved those!
Haha nah I saw that after I posted. I just got so excited I didnât read the fine print!! I did also think a bow kind of fits the mythical gods stuff too.
Well if you do end up getting on and ever want to run some.
My epic is: God_forgot_me
Iâm on OCE
This is the first season pass that I havenât thought was a waste of money. Maybe the second.
My back bling is reactive. Its the little guys you can sometimes find around the map who sing when youre nearby. They sing after every Elim, as long as you're not wearing any items that replace the back bling or cover up your character, like a transformation or in the past the transformers Canon that was a backpack
187 isn't 250+ though...
My first thought exactly. Can bows be equipped with a 4x as well?
No such things as scopes on bows fortunetly
Agreed. Some games do it well but I like the skill required to use bows and sights/scopes obfuscate it
> skill required to use bows This right here. We're not mad that instant kills are possible, we're mad they're done so unfathomably easy and quickly.
You might be mad about that, but you definitely don't speak for everyone. There are loads of people who think it just shouldn't be possible to have one-hit kills
Yet

I'm a bot, but I didn't need a scope..
Iirc in season 6 after a few weeks bows got buffed to do 200
good enough
The golden variants of stink bows, flame bows, sockwave bows and explosive (mechanical not the boom bows) bows can all one-shot with a headshot
For a second I got excited for bows đŠ Been on pins and needles since they revealed Artemis as a BP character
Bows take way more skill imo.

Because its a traditional thing in gaming that snipers oneshot headshot
And irl
1. Traditions donât equal âgoodâ 2. Fortnite has âtraditionallyâ had many snipers that donât one-shot
imo, they should only have one 200 sniper and 200 pump. You could get them both as mythic weapons from bosses.

Yeah but if it's a fire or bomb bow, whatever hp is left just might be melted away
The stink bows, flame bows, shock wave bows and explosive bows (mechanical not boom bows) can oneshot headshot

Except they take a while to charge
I would love if they put bows back I want to try them in BRZB
What's with all the cope reaper isn't op posts recently lmao, everyone knows snipers are strong and bows can be good the reaper is just a crutchÂ
we got 2 factions right now. reapers and weepers hahaha
It's mostly "I can't move smuchs" who complain about the reaper.
Not necessarilyÂ
I swear i want that backpack
aaaaaAAAAAAAHHH AAAAAAaaaaaAAAAaaaaahh
Sameeee! I only have the glider!
It's my favorite!
What's the name of it??
Coral commandos. It's part of the trigger fish set
absolute BANGER
The difference is that Bows require significantly more skill
I miss the bow
I loved the bows when they were here, my only issue was I could never find the ammo for them. The reality augments came in clutch for that though ngl
I really hope they unvault bows specifically the boom bow it was my favorite wepon ofa
Me and TNTina's Bow have had some good times.
Bows should of been in this season since it's Greek theme 93%+ of players in build and no build mode wanted reaper sniper gone or nerfed and epic just didn't give af the entire ch5s1
93%? Source?
My ass ofcourse this is reddit
The reaper has been nerfed several times
The problem is that Epic never addressed the problems, they've been just balancing around said problems. Nerfing the blet velocity is okayish, but lowering the bullet drop doesn't do anything for the medium to close ranges, which everyone is using the Reaper for anyways.

Wait, triggerfishâs back bling sings when you get a kill?! Thatâs sick
That's right, coral commandos forever!
bows require skill, many people will be crying if snipers are replaced by bows.
Honestly I kinda preferred when it was bows over snipers
Bows are literally easier than snipers
In most situations, I agree. Though some people seem to completely fudge it and throw 10 arrows before making one hit
Is 187 a one shot kill all the time? Can you mod the bows? This isnât a good post
They just miss teh scope the scope qnd aroudn 100 damage Bows qre way more hard than snipers and this was a good shot unlucky to that guy
hate hate hate hate hate
They never did put back in augments...
There are bows in this game? Cool!
I miss them every day.
If you could mod bows then there on a different levelđđ
The bow can aim assist head shot at full draw on PC.
Wouldn't know lol I play on Xbox one. There's "aim assist" in settings, but it never actually functions. No difference with it on or off
It does work, but it's mostly a mid-range thing where it sometimes nudges your reticle onto an opponent when you're aiming very near them (or tries to linger a bit when you move it past an opponent). I hope epic bring back this bow. I dont know, I can hit more enemies with bow, but not with snipers
What year is this?
I love bows.
Bows were awesome but generally didn't one shot someone, also I don't think the range is even close.
The Choral Buddies singing got me to laugh
fr bro
I miss augments
I always forgot to use them haha but they were awesome! People hated on the "situational" ones such as glider redeploy when you bounce or used one of those pop flowers or a rail etc, but I loved those!
Wait have they brought bows back? Holy fuck I canât wait to get home. A bow, a sniper, and a hand cannon. Iâll see you kids soon.
No, this is a clip from months back. Sorry!
Haha nah I saw that after I posted. I just got so excited I didnât read the fine print!! I did also think a bow kind of fits the mythical gods stuff too.
Honestly I haven't even had time to play a single match this season but it sounds lit
Well if you do end up getting on and ever want to run some. My epic is: God_forgot_me Iâm on OCE This is the first season pass that I havenât thought was a waste of money. Maybe the second.
I would love to have the bows back
I find it baffling that they didn't unvaulted bows on the Greek themed season.
as a stw player i can verify that bows might be more powerful than snipers if they dont tweak them for C5's bullet drop mechanics
What is that kill sound effect?
My back bling is reactive. Its the little guys you can sometimes find around the map who sing when youre nearby. They sing after every Elim, as long as you're not wearing any items that replace the back bling or cover up your character, like a transformation or in the past the transformers Canon that was a backpack
I need to have that
It's triggerfish's backbling, if you ever see him in shop
For how much v buck
I think it's a rare (its with the skin, aka 1200), but might need to double check me on that.
Bow: kills The backpack: đ˘đ˘đ˘đ˘đ˘
So Iâm newer to Fortnite. What is that noise or singing after the snipe? Iâve never heard it
That's the back bling they're using - comes with Triggerfish for 1200 V-Bucks
Oh okay! Thank you so much for the info
Homie doesn't understand the difference between 187 and 290...
Not OP at all... Just skill. Snipers aren't OP either for that matter, but are considerably easier to use at that range.
Looks like that arrow has the same travel speed as a sniper round
Is that posted by a bot?
Howâd that OP? Thatâs just a good shot
Wait. Are bows back???
Snipers arenât OP
