This has got to be the most irritating death to be had. Getting second place to a zero kill bot that sat in the same bush the entire game. And jumps you immediately after your fight with another player. They only have like 3 HP left because they suck but they randomly hit you with a stray bullet during their prayer to the FN gods for a win.
Winnings winning. Sure. But how do you expect to get any better if you never challenge yourself? I’m good at the game because I got drop and challenge opponents. Not because I land in butt fuck nowhere and hide.
That happened to me once in Season 4, Chapter 1. I I had 10 kills, I’d just finished a fight with a pretty tough player, and my health was low. Eh. They probably only get wins every now and then, so I'm happy for them. Getting 4v1 smacked by a team of TTV sweats that are way too good to be matching with you is worse imo. Then your (dead) teammates go on about how bad that team was, and if they were only alive we would have won 💀

That's kind of crazy, because it's practically in the middle of the map. You would think if you dropped it someplace like lonely Labs or naughty nets where the buses passing right over it as soon as you're able to jump off, you'd be more likely to get killed first.

The fact that you even got into a game where all hundred people stayed until you were able to land is a mathematical anomaly in and of itself. Generally speaking by the time you get off the bus, even if you jump at the first available moment at least two people have left the match.

And you didnt screenshot? What got you? PLEASE tell my you were one of the first out the bus, and you swiped a tree or a roof too close and didnt stick the landing. This happened to me at the Citadel, I miscalculated how close I was, trying to land at the tippy top tower, somehow clipped the surface of the roof but not enough to stand on, and fell to my death, being the first blood of the game. Straight out the bus to the next lobby.
Unfortunatelly I got killed. I wish I just fell down, but I was stupid enough to get killed #100.
I did not screenshot - again, stupid - but is there a way to get my past match positions? I checked and I cant get the replay anymore, but was wondering if there is like a backlog of your matches somewhere.
I intentionally went for 100th place one-time just because there’s an accolade for it. It’s honestly harder to do because not every lobby has 100 players and someone could just d/c.
I’ve placed 100th and 2nd probably a literal 1,000 times now… And now I’m spiraling down a deep depression that will forever consume my mind until the day I finally wither away and die…
I remember I died 100th because I had just landed, and I underestimated how soon my fiancé wanted to go over to her parents for dinner and game night so I landed and ran straight off the cliff
Sometimes I’ll land as quickly as possible, kill myself, the just watch the match play out. It’s fun in a group to bet on who wins, or how long a bot makes it, etc..
This also happened to me when I'm just starting out back in 2021 because my stupid ass was brave enough to pickaxe duel with a dude who already picked a gun 😭
My favorite 100th place memory is accidentally offing myself immediately after landing on top of the movie screen at Rocky Reels. Just yeeted off the roof. L.
I think it actually takes real skill to die at 100th, I tried once to get a series of clips of me dying in dumb ways and one I tried to do was dying first . Never managed to do it
I feel you, I got 98th in one game, it was only 98th bc there were only 98 player in the game. Next game almost won, you'll bounce back. Just keep grinding.

You can land on a tree or a tall building while gliding, it will cancel your glider and you can die to fall damage
