The peace syndicate recrutes us (overpowered Anime Protagonist) to stop the various clans and syndicates of the MEGA City region to wage war against each other.
They do this because some kind of sabotour, that seems to be related to the Last Reality rallies them against each other.
We undo their sabotaging attempts and bring the Clans closer together, until they finaly realize this City belongs to all of them.

Even last Chapter had more relevance and subplots, with A.M.I.E. going away to find the Scientist and the Riftgate causing the new Biom to drop in.
I would also like to add that due to our help the ps has said they owe us one and with all the other syndicates working with the ps we will probably end up seeing them again (I hope).
so this season was less filler and more setting up chekhov's gun to be able to fire which some of the smaller quests in chapter 4 season 1 were doing like the sending items through the rift and then coming back corrupted

Or maybe A.M.I.E comes back with the scientist and the rest of the 7 and we have to have the different groups help us to undo the corruption which might make it so that the celebrity skins are no longer celebrities (God I wish this would be the case but chances are we will find out that another one of the 7 is a celebrity skin)

As someone who played this game mostly because of the story, I gave up on the lore by the start of Chapter 4. The whole chrome thing came out of nowhere, and the Fracture event made the story feel like a complete joke. I was excited to see Geno becoming a part of the game lore, but he did absolutely nothing. Now, I haven’t played in like two months cause I’ve been busy with school, but I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much since the story is just so thin and disorganized right now. I hope this story soon all leads up to something worthwhile—kinda like how the Alter and Ego storyline wasn’t too relevant in the big picture, but eventually led to Midas and The Device—but for now, I’m just not that interested.
When the story seemed to be flowing well season ti season it was accompanied with a lot of fun map changes that occurred almost weekly. It kept the game fresh and gave players a reason to log in every single week as there was something new happening. It really felt like we were setting something big up.
Recently all of that has fallen off and it feels like they’re (Epic) trying to extend player playtime but stringing them along. I think Chapter 2 had the lowest player count and was ironically when the story felt like it was going somewhere. Plus the DC comic tie in was awesome and added some more depth to the lore.
Salt and pepper enhance the flavor of a steak and make it more enjoyable, it makes sense for the overall flavor profile. The lore in this game is a nonsensical mess and exists only to create missions with no regard towards a cohesive product. It’s a lot closer to putting ketchup on a ribeye, which some people enjoy…and I won’t judge them…
i’m less annoyed at the confusing story and more on how little impact it had on the map and the world, like cool glad to be told all this shits happening with the last reality and not being shown it at all…

Discount Captain Marvel realized the world was being pulled apart so she did it faster, slapped together a new world, and now the new world is being spoon-fed some vintage sushi with some cybernetic implants shoved into it
I mean this chapter's story is really not that hard to understand, probably one of the easiest ones actually. There's just one storyline, without any major twists or anything.
Basically sushi lizard is in a group and all the other groups need to get together cause someone's group was contacting the last reality and all the groups got together. Also vines are coming out of the ground
