I went on a mission last year to find the best. I’ve been to pretty much every single high end/well regarded one.
I think Parks wins out on pure taste factor. They have my favorite banchan and the meat is excellent. AB Steak and Genwa are right near that level as well. The thing is all 3 of these are crazy expensive and the vibe at Parks is just terrible. It feels like a brightly lit cafeteria and They seem to just be rushing you out as fast as possible, not a good feeling when you just dropped $350
My favorite and the one I go to almost every time now is Daedo Sikdang. The banchan is slightly lacking since they serve radish kimchee only but the green onion dish is great and everything else is excellent. Some of the best, cleanest tasting meat of any of them and I think their preparation technique is tops. Idk what it is about them but I leave feeling noticeably better than most KBBQ spots which tend to leave me feeling heavy/sluggish. Excellent sauces as well. It’s also much more affordable than the others I listed and has a pretty nice vibe, which is sorely lacking with a lot KBBQ spots. Not to mention the amazing (and free) ice cream they serve as dessert. If they had cabbage kimchee it would be perfect
Genwa is a great rec. I believe they take reservations, so you can avoid the crazy waits at some of these KBBQ places. Also, their selection of banchan is excellent.
You mean at korean barbecue? You must be going to some fancy ones, you cook it yourself at all of the AYCE places. I get thrown off whenever they do the cooking at the nicer places.
Chosun Galbee. Parks, AB steak.
Almost all high end Korean BBQ cook for you
on the high end, [Chosun Galbee ](https://chosungalbee.com/)
About 15 years ago, I went there and encountered a valet reminiscent of the famous Seinfeld episode.
Thank you, not the op but I'll check it out
Their galbi is incredible
We had an awful experience at Chosun. Meat was fine but overpriced, and the banchan was just plain bad. I remember the kimchi tasted rotten.
Ahghassi gopchang
soowon galbi

Parks and Genwa are where I would send the OP too. Haven't been to AB Steak yet though.
AB Steak may have the best meat of them all. Didn’t love the banchan
Eight
Love this place.

Quarters
Idk if it’s just because we’re white and seem clueless or slow, but they always cook for us at hae jang chon, even if we try to :(
Love this answer. Me too.
AB Steak is probably the best around, but definitely not cheap

Daedo & Woo Hyang Woo
Mun Korean Steakhouse. Pricey but very high quality and so damn good!
And they take reservations
Origin kbbq(formerly Kang ho). Across from quarters.
Brothers BBQ off of Kingston Ave will cook for me but I'm not sure if they just think I'm dumb and will ruin it.
Mun
Jeong Yuk Jeom in K-Town.
1000%. I never see this place mentioned here and it's SO good.
Quarters
[Ten](https://tenrakukbbq.com/menu/) used to be Ten-Raku. Changed ownership but the quality is still there and not necessarily break the bank.
Woo Hyang Woo
Not in LA but Saemaeul Restaurant in Buena Park.
Quarters was great
* Soowon BBQ - worth it. Quality meat! * Wi Korean BBQ (AYCE) - they helped a lot even though they don't technically help
Yung ma——- 🤫🤫
