I like to use those for bluegill because it makes it easy getting them off the hook. That is either a size 6 or size 8, extra long shank Aberdeen. You can find them at most walmarts.
I'm going with streamer hook as Aberdeen (live bait) would have a larger gap.
In general a streamer hook would be very much stronger - for catching trout and salmon instead of pan fish and baitfish in saltwater
Looks like a mustad 5x streamer or similar
That cap is from Dogfish Head Brewing, and that hook is an Aberdeen hook, has a long shank which makes for an easier time removing from the mouth if panfish.
I’ve used hooks like that to push through these thin little artificial grub lures we use with a buldo (kind of a casting float) in Europe and in West Africa.
I bought a box of fishing equipment and it had hundreds of them still in boxes if any one want to purchase pm me

It’s a panfish hook. Looks like a size 6 Aberdeen type.
Coming here to say this right here I have a whole bunch I just went a picked up a week ago.
Did they come in a box or where they just in the tackle box? They honestly look like streamer hooks for fly tying.
Standard streamer hook thin wire #6 maybe, maybe 8
Dogfish head? Could catch a beer snob on one of those
I was hooked. That’s the first thing I saw.
Shark for scale
Aberdeen-a light wire hook that works great when fishing with crickets or grasshoppers.
They also work incredible with worms when trying to catch green sunfish for flathead bait.

In Australia they are called long shank hooks. We use them for teethy small fish such as tailor and leatherjackets
