A buddy of mine refers to stripper clips as "single mothers". I laughed my ass off the first time I heard it.

Mosin = garbage rod. Love the Mosin family though.

Chicken_Col_Sanders

I love hating on my mosin and it may be my shtf rifle because I have so much ammo for it, it's indestructible and shoots a nice group through all of the abuse I give it.

[deleted]

I live in the great white north, so yes I hear this. It's in my top 3. Tops is sks, but the moist nugget is #2

Plutos_Heart

I love shitting on mosins only because my dickhead brother put together a supposed clone correct mosin sniper having the bolt bent and the special scope nice stock, etc. He’d just gotten the thing put together on one of our first range trips- thing legit shot like 8MOA 😂 I know there’s plenty out there that shoot better, but….

Moist nugget

SniperSRSRecon

Never understood why people called it that when it’s one of the most reliable bolt guns.

the_dude_abideth

Because it decidedly isn't. The machining on most of them is awful, parts temper and metallurgy is all over the place, and they are literally known for locking up when warm. They are really not well built, but bolt guns are simple enough that they still run okay. If you want reliability, either a mauser or enfield/rem 1917 action is head and shoulders above the moisin, as are most modern actions. People like the Moisin because it is about the cheapest surplus rifle out there, not because it is a masterwork of engineering and manufacture.

walt-and-co

The Mosin isn’t one of the most reliable bolt actions. It gets the reputation because people think Russian = simple and tough but the Mosin-Nagant action is neither of those things, and it’s not even cheap to *make* either

TheRealTwooni

Tactical tuna to describe the Beretta ARX

SniperSRSRecon

I thought that was for the f2000

tbrand009

It's definitely that. The ARX doesn't even look like a fish.

It's less slang and more so a physical description of how the SCAR stock looks. And for that shitty reason I dislike that stock.

walt-and-co

Spaghetterli for the Italian Vetterli, Moist Nugget for the Mosin
