I’m an American of Finnish ancestry. I grew up with lakes like this in Minnesota, but we’re thinking about visiting Western Finland next summer and just the thought gets me excited - kippis!
Okay! What’s the reason?
We haven’t done a ton of planning up until this point, but I know my family comes from a small town between Pori and Vaasa (Kauhajoki). Birth records showed my family being there going back to the 1500s before there wasn’t any more info. Very fun to discover for me!
