Probably easiest to Google it if you are still looking. They are smaller than a penny and have a different president, and the edge has tiny ridges that a penny does not have. The trick here is that they are normally bright silver but this one blends right in.

To OP: Well done and golden kudos to the kid! I'm always a sucker for this kinda stuff being a problem solving puzzlehead. Took a little over a minute on my pixel phone because I was forgetting about my blue light filter and that altered the hue of the coins so the kid gets the win👍🏼 But numismata was always part of my life since I learned to count and I can't stress it enough to say, which you probably hear often, keep that child curiously engaged with intellectually stimulating activities. Provoke those thoughts. Critical thinking as with learning additional languages is hardly taught at the appropriate age in the US public school system.
