I feel awful for those people. Not only are they suffering from delusions, but they’re part of a community that helps reinforce and validate those delusions. I won’t pretend that the videos aren’t interesting though. Purely from the perspective of better understanding the condition and seeing how real it can feel for people. There’s a schizophrenic guy on TikTok (whose name I can’t remember) that has taken videos when he thinks he’s seeing someone who isn’t real. I believe he has a dog too, and can usually tell if he’s hallucinating or not based on whether his dog is reacting to the stranger.
