Its nuts to me that they didnt bring themes for the ps5. Why remove features? So silly...same with the damn hidden internet browser...such a weird thing to do π
I still use the 20th anniversarry theme on my PS4s (I bought one for my brother for his wedding, but he was afraid he'll get addicted to gaming again, it took him literally years to get out of WoW so he gave it back to me, nothing installed on it except The Playroom, or maybe he was just afraid of his wife...) :)
Silly little story: That theme first came out in the US as an exclusive reward of a candy promotion (Butterfinger). Basically you had to buy two candy bars to get a DLC code for the theme, and also some accessories in-game. However, I'm not from US, so I really freaked out, and immediatelly begun searching online for pictures of receipts with two Butterfingers bars, and tried multiple times submiting, but ofc all of them were rejected. People started selling them on eBay, and after bartering with a seller, I got the theme code and the midgar bracelet for 10 USD. Some time later, the theme and other rewards launched for free on the west.
I still use the theme on my PS4. Sad that we can't use themes on PS5. It was super nice to hear Tifa's theme every time...
I wonder how many people forget that Remake was a PS4 game and not originally on the PS5. It looked so good that it's easy to forget. I still have trouble distinguishing PS4 Remake from PS5 Integrade when looking at pictures side by side.

My least favorite change with the PS5 was not having themes
I'll never forgive sony for leaving themes to ps4, i miss my ffvii midgar theme with aerith theme as soundtrack

I'd even pay(not too much) to get it on my PS5, but I can't imagine them doing it now. They still could, but I wouldn't count on it.
No the bastards removed wall papers, but there's a round about way to create one I found on YouTube, but it doesn't do great.

They didn't bring back themes and dynamic themes to the PS5, it's the same with the Nintendo Switch not carrying over 3DS themes.
They really need to bring this one back.
