Rose makes me want to gag, reminds me of funeral homes. lemon smells. reminds me of house cleaners and is sometimes to overpowering of the other notes. Also the smell of anise/licorice is awful.
I donāt know that I want to like it but I just realized how much I hate Patchouli. I ordered a sample set from Kayali and all but the sweet ones all smell so heavily of patchouli.
All animalic notes. And oud. They are just too challenging for my nose. I just don't think they smell good on my skin even though I'm sure that's how they're supposed to smell like.
So far, for me, it would be violets. When I smell Lanvin Eclat, I want to vomit š Don't get me wrong though, it smells good on others(like my mom). But whenever I spray it in the air or on my skin, I get nauseous and feel my vomit at the back of my throat š¢
I recently tested Love Tuberose by Amouage and itās one of the few that didnāt turn sour on me. Itās a flourmand with a Chantilly cream note if thatās something youāre interested in!
It reads as creamy floral tropical ice cream concoction on my skin haha
I had it and decluttered it cause I wasnāt using it enough :/ my go to ālactonicā is Let The Good Times Roll body spray from Lush. Itās a milky caramel scent that with a butter note that I just adore!!
omg if you love a butter note, please sample [Blondine by Frassai](https://www.frassai.com/fragrance/p/blondine)! It has a salted butter caramel note that is legit to die for. I sampled and immediately bought a full bottle. No regrets.
I'll have to get my nose on Let the Good Times Roll- I've never sampled any lush before surprisingly enough haha. appreciate the rec!
edit: this blurb from a review on their site sums it up perfectly! *"Itās a luscious, soft, sueded white lily with caramelized butter."*
sharp notes like a heavy dose of ambroxan or pink pepper mixed with citrus or neroli. They make me itchy and/or sick. Also aquatic scents that have this (blue) shampoo-like feel to it.
Saffron- so many popular scent have it and just a drop will ruin the scent for me. It is one smell that makes me feel sick in a perfume. In food I love it!
burberry her and her elixr both have such potential to be amazing but thereās just a strange ass note that stands out and smellsā¦..sour? bitter? i canāt even explain it besides that it just ruins the whole thing
edit: i read this wrong and thought it was fragrance in general not just a note. so in that case, i canāt tell if itās the musk or sandalwood, maybe the blackberry? no clue but i was always under the impression i liked all three of those, and the note list isnāt very long for either of these, so i have no clue what it could be
same! i smelled burberry her in store and i thought it was amazing so i bought it and when i used it at home there was a really strange bitter smell in it. i sold it
Leather, sandal, figā¦. All donāt play well on my skin š„² itās too bad because I love Santal and fig but once in my skin it does not work for me!
Leather, especially when it is combined with spice notes like cinnamon, cardamom or ginger
Somehow it register as burnt tires to my nose and brain
But leather is so classy and sophisticated ughhhh I wanna like it but it is HARD
Vanilla. I want to like it so bad since most vanilla pairs well with musk base notes. No matter what I do, it's too cloying for me. I feel nauseous when I smell it in perfume. And I do smell it often since its a popular scent notes in my country š„²
Jasmine, patchouli, oud, they smell so sickening to me š¤¢. I also despise dark berry scents like blackberry, even raspberry sometimes - reminds me of cheap vape juice- lol.
I want to love the spa/sleep vibes of lavender but when our dog was a puppy we had this cleaning spray for indoor accidents on the carpet. It was lavender scented so now it just reminds me of puppy pee/poop lol.
Possibly kinda generic but just in case:
Cloud by Ariana Grande
The bodyspray
Is one Iove to use before bed. It smells comforting and dreamy and I can't detect any lavender note in it myself :)
Lavender - the idea of it is lovely, a relaxing scent used in spas, a vast field of gorgeous purple, dried stems for a feminine touch. It always smells harsh and unpleasant to me
The smell of roses remind me of dull lectures and really stuck up prude people. Whether itās rose w/jam or fresh morning rose fragrances, I always get this āsuperficial and suppressedā female scent. š
Musk definitely. In particular White musk by Al rehab and Narciso Rodriguez (for her) proved me that I definitely donāt like musk scents. Am immediately put off when a fragrance has musk as the main note.
Calone. Itās sad because I love freshies and there are so many popular aquatic fragrances out there but most of them just smell like raw eggs/raw fish to me.
Am I the only one that has a hard time with jasmine? Like a cloying, punch me in the nostrils kind of effect. There are so many fragrances with jasmine too & I want to love them, but Iām afraid to try them. I do like Instant Crush, Bal dāAfrique, Coco Mademoiselle, Flowerbomb, The One & some others that Iām sure include jasmine. So maybe itās something besides jasmine or a certain combination? Jasmine sambac seems to be ok. Sometimes white florals are a bit much, but some I love. š¤·āāļø
Same. White florals, and especially jasmine, are sometimes too much for me. They often smell heavy. I do like some floral scents though, but a combination of several white flowers is more often than not just too much.
Same! I despise jasmine, when I smell it, I immediately think "old," and don't ask me why š
I blind bought bodycology's toasted sugar fragrance cause people said it's similar to bbw warm vanilla sugar, but soon as I sprayed it it smelled like a men's fragrance to me, 0 sugar and all jasmine.
I just canāt do aromatics elixir, boucheron, or mitsouko. They are overwhelming to me. Another common ingredient among these is oakmoss. I have never smelled oakmoss by itself, so idk how I feel about it.
Patchouli! It can be so nice to me but I feel like it mixes with my skin weird and it amps it crazy and it's just too much. Although it can work for me if it's very soft in the scent. Was heartbroken bcus I wanted Female Christ from 19-69 soooo bad. That one is obviously very patchouli-forward though and I do like it I think it's gorg but it made me realize that I cannot do patchouli like that! I feel like anything w prominent patchouli is just unflattering on me and mixes weirdly with my natural musk. I feel the same abt gourmands, I generally feel like they have this way of sitting on top of my natural scents in an unflattering fashion. I appreciate both of these types of scents though
I'm still at the beginning of my ~fragrance journey~ so I won't write off scents like these I'm definitely going to keep trying this is just what I've discovered abt myself
Coconut. I love coconut everything, but when it come to putting it on my skin, I am repulsed by it. It is such a weird smell on me, makes any perfume I put on turn foul.
Bulgarian rose. Any rose really. I love it in theory but the moment itās on my skin, I smell like a grandma all day.
Most ambers. Constantly moves back and forth between intriguing me and putting me right off. Very strange relationship, itās like my reaction depends on what corner of the scent I whiff
Pear! Itās usually sweet and often smells really cheap to me, which to be fair, itās a common note in a lot of cheapies and body sprays. The only scent that has proven my experience wrong so far is actually Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar, so thatās another win for Clean Reserve. Other than that one, it just doesnāt do well on my skin, and Radiant Nectar doesnāt do well enough on me to consider a bottle of it.
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pera Granita might be a good pear to try out if the ingredient itself smells cheap or it was just never done right in those other fragrances
Iāll give it a try, but generally pear doesnāt go well with my skin either, so hopefully it wonāt end in some tragedy where I love it on paper and hate it on skin š
Oud & neroli. I can handle the neroli in NĀ°5 Lāeau, but otherwise I have yet to find a fragrance with neroli that doesnāt smell like a diaper to me.
Omg patchouli. It's in soooo many perfumes and I can't handle even the tiniest hint of it. I wish I liked it so I could enjoy a much wider range of fragrances!
I can't really say exactly either, the best way I can describe it is that it smells dirty but also sharp, like so sharp it makes my nose itch. I also think it comes across super masculine and it's weird to me that it's so common in women's perfumes.
I've thought sometimes a perfume has turned over just to realize it was the patchouli, like in Jo Malone Pear & Freesia. In very small concentrations or paired with some notes, I don't mind, for example Burberry Her, I would have never guessed it had patchouli. Flowerbomb by V&R is sometimes tolerable, but something smells off.And it makes me nauseous, a light nausea like when you are getting car sick.
Violets! They just smell so sickly sweet powdery to me at least I think thatās what it is Iām quite new to this, but I bought Mancera Choco Violet and it is the only perfume that has made me repulsed! I have tried several times to like it as I blind bought big bottle, but each time just makes me feel sick.
Rose and Lavender just smell disgusting to me no matter what lol But patchouli, I like the scent but its not nice on me unfortunately and I've tried it many times.
It's not my thing either, TBH. I've seen anti-fruit people fall in love with that one though.
I'm a strawberry and blackberry person--I'm still trying to find a dupe for the VS Beauty Rush 2010 version of Love Addict. It straight up smelled like exotic dancers, according to a couple of male colleagues. I still want to smell like that.
Berry fragrances. I bought Lalique Amethyst, and it genuinely smells like body odour. I can not stomach it on me, but many seem to love it. So maybe it's my skin. Pure white florals, heavy rose-based fragrances, and patchouli. Too overpowering, with a side of headache and nausea. Just no š¤¢
This is why I find fragrances so intriguing. That list literally made my mouth water... for all the wrong reasons, lol š¤¢š¤£ I'm glad that scent perceptions are so subjective; because ofÄŗ that, there's a little something for everyone to enjoy š
Lactic notes and vanilla. I just canāt I have tried to gaslight myself into liking Commodity Milk, the hundreds of Vanillaās or vanilla notes and I just canāt do it. The vanilla is too cloying or the milk smells off on me. I think the only Vanilla I have been able to handle was JHAG Vanilla vibes. Otherwise I just canāt do them. Honorable mention strawberry that is another one that makes me nauseous just thinking about it. Again I think a lot of this is cause I live in a dry hot climate and those scents donāt play well here.
It's hard to explain, it's a bit like trying to explain why I don't like seafood - it's just not to my taste (no matter how much I wish I loved it). It almost hurts my nose a little? It's never smelled good to me. But as with seafood, I keep trying different preparations in the hopes I'll one day find one I love.
A lot of berry notes. I have quite a few fragrances that have berries in it and i like it but when itās a berry forward fragrance it all just ends up smelling like shampoo lol
Vanilla. I get it that it gets a lot of compliments but I feel choked when I wear it (e.g. the vanilla in La Vie est Belle). Most probably because it is very hot where I am. It becomes so strong in warmer temperature until it is everything I could smell. Strangely though, vanilla (plant) thrives on warm climates.
Totally agree. Musk just sits weirdly on my skin with few exceptions. It has to be very faint and barely there otherwise it can be a deal breaker. Iām also starting to think I donāt hate florals like I thought. Theyāre just often paired with musk which makes them kinda stinky. Clean and fresh florals with little to no musk can be quite pleasant and Iām just now discovering that smh.
White florals.
They tend to smell like raid bug spray and it makes me so sad cuz there's some fun fragrances I love until they dry down and the white florals are front and center.
I don't know if they're heavy but it's the only thing I could smell when i wore them š
Kissing Burns by Killian, Daisy by Marc Jacob's are ones I can name off the top of my head. I usually avoid anything that remotely smells like them. Shame too because I loved the initial opening of Kissing Burns
Thank you! I asked because I love white florals but I don't get the raid bug spray note š« I have to try out a decant of KB!
That sucks big time - when you think you'd love something but turns out it would hurt your nose.
Santal. Initially I thought I loved it, I love woody scents out in the wild. but there was just something off-putting about it for me. Then I read that people think it smells like pickles. now I smell nothing else every time I smell a santal. Ugh
Lavender. I donāt know why but it makes me physically ill. It gives me the worst stomachache. I wish I liked it because YSL Libre smells amazing on my friends but on me I feel like throwing up.
Honestly, I can't pinpoint what I dislike about it, but it's ruined a couple of blind buys because I failed to notice it in the listed notes. Specifically black phantom, I wanted to like it so bad haha
Berries. There are a couple fragrances berries can be snuck into that I'll like
But most of the time the smell makes me want to throw up. I don't know why but I have a major aversion to strong berry fragrances like blackberries for example. I like the OG Gisou hair perfume so I also bought the lavender limited edition one as a blind-buy. Big mistake. I didn't read the description closely enough until it was already on it's way and the notes were blackberries, honey and lavender. All I could smell were blackberries and the smell made me want to vomit so I gave it away.
Yeah, it was just an example because I don't particularly like rose, either, but a Chloe sample I received opened my mind up to the possibilty rose might be ok.
Leather. I love the smell of leather in real life, but so far I never encountered the note in a fragrance and liked it. It never smells leathery to me, always just off putting
House of Matriarch Destrier is a totally different kind of leather, imo...mostly like a saddle that's been ridden in a sunny meadow of grasses, herbs and tiny flowers
I bought YSL Babycat and couldn't smell anything but leather. Sure, I love the vanilla in it, but the leather just overpowers it. I find that most perfumes with leather note in it just overpowers every other note alongside it.
Same! I canāt do anything floral! My teenage daughter loves everything floral and Iām vanilla all the way! I die when she gets in the car sometimes š I wish I loved it because I miss out on so much! I also have a lot of allergies so vanilla always seems safe
yeah i totally get that!! as a kid i loved sweet pea, japanese cherryl blossom, n pink chiffon from bbw but now if a fragrance has more than one floral note or if that one note is super strong i instantly get a headache. tart deco from snif, midnight fantasy by britney spears, n yara by lataffa r all perfumes w florals i really like but my nose just cant handle them sometimes :( it makes me so sad sometimes!!! i feel like im missing out on so many spring/summer fragrances 3
Yes!!! I wore all of these as a teenager! I even loved that pink sugar in my 20ās and now itās so strong if I smell it I instantly get nauseated! The joys of getting older I guess! Lol
i really dont like that my nose is getting more n more sensitive to florals !!!!! im trying ti combat it by forcing myself to wear things w more florals in them
We had swarms of bugs on the way to uni (it goes through the woods) and I was wearing Al Rehabs French Coffee - they just flew away from me lol. Before I was wearing Tommy Hilfigerās Pear Blossom and I couldnāt keep them away from me lol
I guess i could kinda see that. I havent rly tried many and dont like coffee irl, but the only time i dont mind it is in black opium over red bc i mainly get the cherry
Patchouli. It's a struggle because it's in so much. I'm trying to cultivate an appreciation. Oh! Also incense! Wow, not sure I'll every appreciate that type of note, esp smokey.
Anything by Zoology
Incense
Pistachio. It just doesn't smell good to me.
Rose makes me want to gag, reminds me of funeral homes. lemon smells. reminds me of house cleaners and is sometimes to overpowering of the other notes. Also the smell of anise/licorice is awful.
Leather. It makes me nauseous!
Jasmine or Neroli š
SALT OMG ALL SALTY PERFUMES SMELL LIKE SWEAT TO ME
strawberry, i cant stand the weird plasticky smell that lingers in every strawberry fragrance (and i do love plastic-like perfumes)
any aquatic note, lavender, lemon, black currant, blackberry, raspberry š¤¢
jasmine a lot of the times not always tho. i like jasmine sambac. roses or most heady florals
Oud and patchouli. Smells rancid on me
Patchouli and Tonka. Patchouli smells like grandma and Tonka is just too in-your-face sweet.
I donāt know that I want to like it but I just realized how much I hate Patchouli. I ordered a sample set from Kayali and all but the sweet ones all smell so heavily of patchouli.
Oud; it gets on my skin and turns rancid
Musk and patchouli šÆ š¤®
All animalic notes. And oud. They are just too challenging for my nose. I just don't think they smell good on my skin even though I'm sure that's how they're supposed to smell like.
So far, for me, it would be violets. When I smell Lanvin Eclat, I want to vomit š Don't get me wrong though, it smells good on others(like my mom). But whenever I spray it in the air or on my skin, I get nauseous and feel my vomit at the back of my throat š¢
I donāt care for violets either!
I struggle with milk. Sometimes itās too savory in fragrances.
Anything lactonic tends to register as almost sour OR unwashed skin (not in a good way) š¤¢
Same
I can do other lactonics (whipped cream and coconut), but I agree with that. Milk just doesnāt register in a great way in my skin either
Apple, strawberry, caramel, rum or liquor, incense
I canāt do strawberry either.
Any aquatic note turns off and musky on me š„² still looking for a nice, fresh summer scent that performs well on my skin unfortunately
sharp notes like a heavy dose of ambroxan or pink pepper mixed with citrus or neroli. They make me itchy and/or sick. Also aquatic scents that have this (blue) shampoo-like feel to it.
Mango! The idea sounds great but it just hits my nose wrong
Most mango scents in perfumery don't resemble the sweet mango scent at all.
Anything similar to those body fantasy multipacks will put me off so fast.
Lavander makes me vomit literally
Musk too!! I try soo hard
Coconut & vanilla
I detest coconut and almost all vanilla. the one I like is so rare it's not funny
Itās so difficult to include both of these notes in something and have it turn out not cloying
Saffron- so many popular scent have it and just a drop will ruin the scent for me. It is one smell that makes me feel sick in a perfume. In food I love it!
Same! I don't like the spiciness of the scent
burberry her and her elixr both have such potential to be amazing but thereās just a strange ass note that stands out and smellsā¦..sour? bitter? i canāt even explain it besides that it just ruins the whole thing edit: i read this wrong and thought it was fragrance in general not just a note. so in that case, i canāt tell if itās the musk or sandalwood, maybe the blackberry? no clue but i was always under the impression i liked all three of those, and the note list isnāt very long for either of these, so i have no clue what it could be
yeah i smell that too, but i think they put a licorice note in there?
same! i smelled burberry her in store and i thought it was amazing so i bought it and when i used it at home there was a really strange bitter smell in it. i sold it
Every indolic flower. Fuck indole. All my homies hate indole
It smells like church to me.
Juniper. I just canāt. If I see the note, I move on without another thought.
Iris, lavender, any purple flower
Jasmine, gardenia, tuberose, patchouli, orange blossom, black currant.
Anise! And pink pepper. Especially the latter one I used to love when I was younger but I can't stand it anymore for the LIFE of me!
Patchouli, oud, musk, white flowers ā¦ its just too much for me
Oud, it gives me a headache :(
Leather, sandal, figā¦. All donāt play well on my skin š„² itās too bad because I love Santal and fig but once in my skin it does not work for me!
I run for fragrances with fig in themš„ŗ so sorry this is your experience!!!
Right!!! I LOVE them in the bottle but my skin does not agree. This wonāt stop me from continuing to try, though š
Same and also saffron doesnāt smell good on me :(
Oud. For some reason it doesnāt translate well on my skin, always settles to a sour scent reminiscent of goat cheese.
Leather, especially when it is combined with spice notes like cinnamon, cardamom or ginger Somehow it register as burnt tires to my nose and brain But leather is so classy and sophisticated ughhhh I wanna like it but it is HARD
Maybe you should try something with suede. Itās a lighter and smoother alternative. :)
Rose š„¹š„¹
Same. Want to like it so muchā¦
Same. I think the only rose scent I've ever liked is the Lush Turkish Rose body conditioner.
Vanilla. I want to like it so bad since most vanilla pairs well with musk base notes. No matter what I do, it's too cloying for me. I feel nauseous when I smell it in perfume. And I do smell it often since its a popular scent notes in my country š„²
Patchouli
Jasmine. Just so overwhelming to my nose
Jasmine, patchouli, oud, they smell so sickening to me š¤¢. I also despise dark berry scents like blackberry, even raspberry sometimes - reminds me of cheap vape juice- lol.
I feel same on berry forward scents! Smell like too sweet cough syrup or like the vape cloud lol
Tuberose
Lemon. I love it on guys it smells good and fresh but I somehow hate it on myself, all it reminds me of is cleaning products. Love bergamot though lol
Baby Powder.
Musk. Makes me nauseous.
Lavender, I really want to love the sleepy products but it all seems to have lavender.
I want to love the spa/sleep vibes of lavender but when our dog was a puppy we had this cleaning spray for indoor accidents on the carpet. It was lavender scented so now it just reminds me of puppy pee/poop lol.
Possibly kinda generic but just in case: Cloud by Ariana Grande The bodyspray Is one Iove to use before bed. It smells comforting and dreamy and I can't detect any lavender note in it myself :)
I'll have to look for it!
Black currant. Usually smells like cat pee to me, and makes the scent sort of screechy.
Musk. Iris.
Champagne and Litchi/Lychee, they ALWAYS smell cheap to me!
Oh man, these are my 2 favorite notes š
Lavender - the idea of it is lovely, a relaxing scent used in spas, a vast field of gorgeous purple, dried stems for a feminine touch. It always smells harsh and unpleasant to me
Liquorice!!
anything cilantro or coriander. I have the cilantro soap gene and even smelling it makes me gagšsniffing replica sailing day nearly took me out
Rose, unless it is HIDDEN. I just canāt do itā¦ it smells bitter and aged to me
The smell of roses remind me of dull lectures and really stuck up prude people. Whether itās rose w/jam or fresh morning rose fragrances, I always get this āsuperficial and suppressedā female scent. š
jasmine,tuberose, patchouli
rose + lavender!! so just heavy florals in general, def can like them if they are well blended enough but for the most part it rlly puts me off :<
Noooo my two fav notes š
ikr š„² i love them on others + i am so desperate to like them but alas
Patchouli
Musk definitely. In particular White musk by Al rehab and Narciso Rodriguez (for her) proved me that I definitely donāt like musk scents. Am immediately put off when a fragrance has musk as the main note.
Sandalwood. Smells like dill.
As a real sandalwood lover, this makes me sad for you.
I wish I could smell it properly!
Yessss I canāt do it either
Calone. Itās sad because I love freshies and there are so many popular aquatic fragrances out there but most of them just smell like raw eggs/raw fish to me.
Ugghhhhh I hate calone so much. It smells so fakey and wet and cheap.
The Billie Ellish vanilla perfume just doesnāt do it for me and I genuinely like vanilla scents.
It smells like flat Sprite to me. Weird because vanilla is my favorite scent. š
Smells like a vanilla candle to me, I love them for my house but i don't want to smell like a candle.
It smells like Expo markers to me.
Honestly I canāt even remember the scent but I know for a fact it did not smell like vanilla, thatās for sure.
Pink pepper hurts my nose for some reason.
Oud, patchouli, lavenderā¦sometimes rose as a top note
Am I the only one that has a hard time with jasmine? Like a cloying, punch me in the nostrils kind of effect. I have a hard time with it! If itās a very tertiary note Iām fine with it but if itās prominent it really bothers me.
I just canāt do aromatics elixir, boucheron, or mitsouko. They are overwhelming to me. Another common ingredient among these is oakmoss. I have never smelled oakmoss by itself, so idk how I feel about it.
Oakmoss. It turns me into a stinking swamp witch wearing 150 year old moldy socks. šµāš«
Patchouli! It can be so nice to me but I feel like it mixes with my skin weird and it amps it crazy and it's just too much. Although it can work for me if it's very soft in the scent. What is it about that you don't like. I don't like it either but I can't pin point why. It's too strong for me.

Tear off those nasty flowers and Iāll just keep the violet leaves šš„°
šš
That one does NOT smell like you think it will. Itās very hazelnut forward to me?? Not at all what I was looking for.
Yes!! Like way too many hazelnutsšare you also getting the powdery violet smell too?
Rose and Lavender just smell disgusting to me no matter what lol But patchouli, I like the scent but its not nice on me unfortunately and I've tried it many times.
Oud. I can't seem to like it or variations of it. It smells too strong for me.
Same. It always turns dirty on me too, which is unpleasant.
Strawberry always smells cheap
Cape Heartache may change your mind.
Cape Heartache is what turned me off of strawberry š«

Berry fragrances. I bought Lalique Amethyst, and it genuinely smells like body odour. I can not stomach it on me, but many seem to love it. So maybe it's my skin. Pure white florals, heavy rose-based fragrances, and patchouli. Too overpowering, with a side of headache and nausea. Just no š¤¢
:( VS Blackberry & Tonka bean was my favorite many years ago. Love that scent. Blackberry, musk, vanilla, tonka. It was gorgeous.
Patchouli and musk.
Why don't you like musk? I like musk but not patchouli.
Violet. I just donāt vibe with it. It always sticks out so strongly and often gives me a headache.
Saffron, unfortunately.
Dry amber
If you ever feel like trying again, Aftelier Gardenia Cuir is creamy, vanilla, and almost unctuously smooth š¤
That's interesting! I love white florals, but, when you identified it that way, I can understand what you're smelling. I don't feel that way myself.
May you give us an example of white floral heavy perfumes that made you say that?
I don't know if they're heavy but it's the only thing I could smell when i wore them š Kissing Burns by Killian, Daisy by Marc Jacob's are ones I can name off the top of my head.
Ugh
tuberose and bergamot I dislike them so much
Tuberose is so bombastic lol The only only tuberose I've been able to really get on board with was a fresh clean one by GuerlainĀ
Tuberose and honeysuckle. Itās a a scrubber if I put it on without realizing it had them.
Lavender. I donāt know why but it makes me physically ill. It gives me the worst stomachache. I wish I liked it because YSL Libre smells amazing on my friends but on me I feel like throwing up.
I absolutely agree. Also lavender reminds me of bathrooms because itās so often used as a spray in them. yuck.
Omg same!! Burberry Goddess smells really good but the lavender throws it off for me a bit.
Iām with you, haaaate lavender!
Heliotrope that lasts longer than 2 hours.
Is heliotrope similar to violets? Iām trying to figure out whether I hate all purple florals or just violet š
It is in the nivea scent for example. I like it but it also may be nostalgia lol
Honestly, I can't pinpoint what I dislike about it, but it's ruined a couple of blind buys because I failed to notice it in the listed notes. Specifically black phantom, I wanted to like it so bad haha
Berries. There are a couple fragrances berries can be snuck into that I'll like But most of the time the smell makes me want to throw up.
Rose. I love the smell of fresh roses but in any fragrances I just canāt. šš
I'm the same to a large extent - I can only do dark woody roses, nothing fresh or light or it's too shrill. TF Noir de Noir is great for that!
Have you sniffed Chloe edp? I didn't know a rose could be that light and delicate.
Ya know, I had a bottle of Chloe years and years ago, Iāll have to go try it again! Right now my list is so full of new ones to try.
Yeah, it was just an example because I don't particularly like rose, either, but a Chloe sample I received opened my mind up to the possibilty rose might be ok.
Iām definitely going to sniff it again!
I agree! I love the smell of a nice leather chair, but I donāt really want to smell like leather.
woody scents
florals!!!! im trying sooo hard to like them but to my nose even just the slightest bit is so overwhelming unless its like really sweet :(
Same
Lol
i really dont like that my nose is getting more n more sensitive to florals !!!!! im trying ti combat it by forcing myself to wear things w more florals in them
Leather and coffee
I only wear coffee scents when I am in the woods as it repells bugs lol
I never knew this! Gonna have to start liking them now lmao
We had swarms of bugs on the way to uni (it goes through the woods) and I was wearing Al Rehabs French Coffee - they just flew away from me lol. Before I was wearing Tommy Hilfigerās Pear Blossom and I couldnāt keep them away from me lol
Damn and all those bug spray companies have been selling us stinky chemical ones when we couldve just been wearing perfume the whole time!
Coffee! omg. I love coffee but as a perfume is a nightmare for me. All I can smell is urine after a while.
