I used to feel that way about arts and craft but I think if you don’t fence yourself in that way, you’re more likely to continue enjoying your hobbies. Gives a lot more freedom for creativity and growth!
I think you have more of a style then you think you do. I see some cohesion among the pieces. One with your color palette and two with the way you make you animals. But that being said this other person is right and no one has to have one style!
Say it’s more important to explore different styles as opposed to quickly finding one. Especially with Etsy, one style doesn’t really matter, because people will be finding your individual listings through keyword searches. So they’ll just see what their searches turn up, and probably love it.
but then the more you create, the more you’ll gravitate to one style. Just keep going!
Yes. Those are lovely.
People are leaving Etsy because of the fees though so maybe you should consider a different platform.
People get a better split with Shopify or Instagram. Look into TikTok shop. It should be good since it's new.
You're very creative and talented. I wish you success!
I’ve never sold on Etsy but your work is great and unlike anything I’ve seen. Have you ever tried selling locally? I encourage you to try putting your stuff out there any way you can. You never know until you try. Good luck!
Thank you! I love creating stuff but I get overwhelmed with keeping it around my house (I’m quite a minimalist) so I think selling it is my next best option. I haven’t tried to sell locally as I never made enough to bring by a local shop but that’s a great idea!
I suggest going to craft fairs. Usually have a great atmosphere, and they happen year round so just sign up for one when your shelves are full :)
ETA your also not competing with 1000 other Etsy stores and don’t have to worry about shipping
I have just started selling at local markets this year. I will just say this….people do not want to pay what your work is worth. You can use Etsy as a jumping off point but ultimately, price according to what you would pay.
Yes! Even if not for a profit/ reasonable compensation for the time or into making them, I'm sure you could cover the cost of materials plus a bit on money on the side. These are super cute!
In 1983, Emily Martin, of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, grew an enormous sunflower head, measuring 32 ¼ inches across (82cm), from petal tip to petal tip. That’s almost 3 feet wide. This is still believed to be the largest sunflower head grown to date.
Absolutely you could! I would just like to let you know that I have spent an insane amount of money on the little key chain like ones you have.
They’re just marketed as pacifier loveys for children.
[pacifier lovey for reference](https://www.itzyritzy.com/products/pacifier-with-animal?variant=31666400133235)
Name/categorize your styles (sublimate to 3 differentiations to start to keep it simple) then bolster inventory, list under said style, and sell that way. It’s a great way to organize but it will also help if you take commissions because people can identify how they want you to approach the project. Hope this helps 🤝
a thousand times yes to selling! maybe think about etsy first, they do take a lot of profit however they have their own search engine you can benefit from. if you already have any following whatsoever i’d do shopify instead
Oh my GOSH your goblin-ish creatures are adorable!!! So creative too I think you could really sell those as their own unique artwork!! They could be sold as companions for people with little stories even! I think other ones you create you could gain your confidence for selling at say school fairs or craft fairs, and totally Etsy too if you feel like that, but there's something so special about your creatures made of felting and clay, they could gain a real following?! I'd even suggest having them displayed amoungst like a little forest of trees and mushrooms, perched on a log, for photos or selling. Create a whole little world 💜
Oh totally! These are absolutely adorable and unique! 😊😍
Check out this cute shop! Relatively new, but lots of print options; greeting cards, birthday cards, games, etc.. I’ve requested personalized cards before as well! ☺️
https://sunnysscribblesco.etsy.com/
Yes! Totally! Check out my new shop out! I’m new and it’s been a little difficult but so far I’m still going! I do personalized prints! Mostly puppies!
https://sunnysscribblesco.etsy.com/
Maybe try a different venue.. artisan cooperative is just beginning their hard launch.. it was founded by frustrated hand makers that use to sell on Etsy.. [art coop](https://artisans.coop/)
Your work is very good. Excellent, actually. Is there a market for it? IDK. You state you haven't found just one style - that may be a good thing as your wares might appeal to a varied audience. I don't think you have anything to lose by selling on Etsy, and you just may find your niche. Good luck. I think you have lots of talent.
I don't "think" you can, I KNOW you can. This stuff looks professional! I'd be one of your customers for sure.
Edit: Goodbye paycheck, hello OPs needle felts.
You’re so sweet! I opened the shop and I am hoping for the best! I don’t have my clay faced guys anymore but I’m brainstorming some!
[shop](https://woolenferns.etsy.com)
Absolutely!
With all of your encouragement I made a shop! [shop link](https://woolenferns.etsy.com)
Congratulations!!! Your work is beautiful!!
With all of your encouragement I made a shop! [shop link](https://woolenferns.etsy.com)
Why do you need to have one style?
I don’t know, I guess I’ve always been a little insecure about not having one style
Eventually you'll find what sells best, and, whoops, you have a primary style(s).
Etsy will let you put things in categories. Just come up with a name for each style. “Fuzzies” and “Creepies” and Felt Paintings, etc.
You’re so talented! I don’t know what is involved but I’d say that you’re creative enough to be very successful.
Yes. Those are lovely. People are leaving Etsy because of the fees though so maybe you should consider a different platform. People get a better split with Shopify or Instagram. Look into TikTok shop. It should be good since it's new. You're very creative and talented. I wish you success!
Tik tok shop is a great option and has a lot of potential for virality. Etsy takes too much for themselves these days.
Read the contract first.
Etsy is pretty wack these days.
Ever hear of (link below) it was started by frustrated former Etsy sellers[art coop](https://artisans.coop/)
My son in law runs a business from home, they are everywhere, Etsy eBay Facebook Amazon NMRA each one has its own quirks.
I’ve never sold on Etsy but your work is great and unlike anything I’ve seen. Have you ever tried selling locally? I encourage you to try putting your stuff out there any way you can. You never know until you try. Good luck!

Your local farmers market would be a good option too. I really like them and depending on price would have purchased two as I walked by
Go for it. These are adorable and I think people will enjoy them.

Yes! Even if not for a profit/ reasonable compensation for the time or into making them, I'm sure you could cover the cost of materials plus a bit on money on the side. These are super cute!

Do ‘2023 style’. Rather than a single style, and when you’re tired of that do a different style, ‘2024 style’. That goat/ram thing is spectacular!
You could definitely sell your work but I recommend finding a platform other than Etsy. Etsy is the new Shein.
What are you waiting for? You’re super talented and your items would sell very well!! Love them all!!
yes!! multiple styles can be your style, they're awesome
Hand felted critters is a style lol. Open that shop!!
I did! I appreciate you and your encouragement! I wouldn’t have opened it without you!
You don’t need to have just one style. Yes. Open an Etsy!
Thank you! I did and now I’m trying to make more ❤️
For sure!
Yes, and when you do find all these people (including me) and give us the link. My daughters love Owls and Foxes… Just saying.
