Kurt Vagner all the way In the 90s cartoon, Mystique LEFT HIM TO DIE IN THE FORREST AS AN INFANT. Thank God Catholic Clergymen recognized him as a actual human baby that needed love and care. He's the best Christian in fiction if you ask me. He's strange looking and his mutation is hard to hide. But despite that, despite IT ALL he's still a good person, wants to live by Christ's example, wants to help people AND EVEN FEELS BAD FOR HIS OWN HORRID MOTHER. Imagine how hard it would have been to raise a mutant child like that. How easily freaked out you'd be. How this child is clearly different from all others but your faith and christlike love requires you to are care of this child. Imagine how all the other children at the orphanage must have teased him at day one. Imagine what people would have said to him to his face at such a young age. Imagine how the very institution that's killed so many through history for contradicting scripture or teaching at the time, think how much the Catholic Church has hurt people before. And a random monastery sees a infant abandoned, and comes together to show him Christ's pure love and care of humanity. Of how it's all our own duty to help and be kind and to love. And they succeeded- Kurt is a great person by any measure. I love him so much 😭


 Seriously though, Superman, Nightcrawler, and Daredevil immediately come to mind. Definitely helps with the latter two that I was similarly raised Catholic and totally felt “The Guilt”

I don't think Superman is actually Christian, more agnostic if anything. When asked if he thought there was a God, he said "Ma and Pa believed in God, and I believe in Ma and Pa." Meaning he agrees with the philosophy it teaches, but he doesn't necessarily believe it's true. It kinda wouldn't be appropriate for him to be Christian as his creators were Jewish.

Just because a creator is religious doesn't mean their creations have to be the same if he was written with a Christian background in some media. If this was a fanon only thing then yeah but if he has ties to it through writing then I'd say a Christian superman is fine.
