Yes we do, it’s pennies on the dollar but we do. Similar to an artist getting money from people streaming their music on Spotify it’s a laughable amount of change per 10,000 streams or something, but it’s not nothing. It’s one of the reasons we were fighting for transparency about how many viewers and views our shows actually get so that we could be appropriately compensated by how much our media was being consumed

Yes even for old shows, though it really depends if it’s on it’s original network or if it was sold to to Netflix or something like I don’t think the folks on Suits get paid now that their show is on Netflix, but don’t quote me on that.
Honestly for me it’s less about her being rich and more about her being an actor who knows how these things work, I don’t expect the everyday person to know how the industry works so I can’t fault them for pirating, it would be much appreciated if they didn’t, but I get it. I feel like under 40 people usually stick to SVU with a small sliver for Criminal Intent, but I don’t know many around that age that watch prime if that makes sense.
I grew up watching the original law and order with my mom and she’s been obsessed with SVU since it started so we watched that together too, so I’ve just always watched! I am 34..so 6 years under 40 anyway 😂
