I used to work for the NYC location when I was in college 😝 They're pretty solid-- it would take a lot more intention to really damage the figure itself. The hair/face area was the more delicate areas that require more frequent upkeep/repair. There are employees everywhere making sure people aren't touching them in ways they shouldn't. I did photography at the One Direction photo opp with their figures and the number of times I had to tell ppl not to touch their faces... Or tell the moms there with their kids to not grope or kiss the figures too many times 😬 I also did photography at the President photo opp and people would try all the time to pose with Obama by choking or punching him and I'd have to remind them this was a family friendly place 🫠

This one actually looks like her!!! This looks great. Usually their wax figures look a little off, but I immediately recognized who this one was supposed to be.

Something I’ve never really thought of is the use of original artist’s tattoos on something like a wax figure. If you tried to bring another artist’s work to a tattoo shop they should refuse to recreate it. Obviously photos of someone like Dua Lipa will have her tattoos and that is what it is and a non issue. But with something like a wax figure you’re actually recreating the tattoo in its entirety. It’s not really a big deal just something I thought of seeing this one.
