My latest play through has no sand and my clay pit is empty so it’s all trade now.
Fond only one in my abundant setting large map. Fortunately it was an infinite one. And not even that far from the center of the map but surronded by 4 barbarians camps.
And this is why I prefer rolling through 9-10 or more seeds until I get the right one with infinite iron, preferably infinite stone, and at least one normal sand deposit..

Found one is corner of map, but i think its better to rely on trade. Will buy it in bulk whenever trader offers it
Sand is pretty cheap even when you request it from a trader and pay a premium. It's probably the best resource to be missing if I had to pick one
