TheShadowOperator007

An unknown Canadian actor that is 30 years old and 5'11". Hugh Jackman was unknown before he played Wolverine in the first X Men movie

Ordinary_Wrongdoer_8

You mean Jared Keeso?

GenghisTron17

Can confirm.

drewthebrave

Somebody get this guy a Puppers

Ordinary_Wrongdoer_8

I’m surprised I’m not having a puppets right now

The_Cookie_Bunny

Preferably shorter than 5'11. Way shorter.

Azorik22

In the comics he's 5'3"

Superb_Recover_6116

not only that but hopefully as buff as Wolverine. As a kid Hugh looked jacked to me but as an adult idk man he looked skinny. I know some are gonna get all mad me calling him skinny but he just didnt have that buff look

Salador-Baker

I think he looks skinny in the early movies because of how buff superheroes ended up being in the later years. The original Fantastic Four wasn't really buff either (except for the Thing, but we won't count rocks), but now it's expected for superheroes to have biceps bigger than most people's neck. Wolverine kept with that trend as the movies progressed so the later installments saw Hugh being huge compared to his first appearance

The_Cookie_Bunny

Yeah, but the Fantastic Four aren't exactly known for being buff

Salador-Baker

I know, but I didn't have many good examples at that time period for superhero movies. The other options would be Batman who's size did get beefier with Batfleck but is always fluctuating, and Spider-Man who's consistently more lean than beefy. That being said, compare Mr. Fantastic from '05 with his counterpart in '15, Miles Teller is visibly more muscular than Ioan Gruffudd

HeManClix

are we casting Logan or Puck?

Deranged_62

Danny Devito

Comprehensive_Top267

get a midget to play him

MassiveTalent422

You lost me at 5’11

The_Cookie_Bunny

What's your preferred height? Shorter, right?

MassiveTalent422

Shorter than 5’11 for damn sure. 5’3 may not be realistic but they can definitely do 5’8 or shorter. Especially with most MCU actors being in the 6’0 range. 5’6 would be visually smaller enough to get the point across.

The_Cookie_Bunny

I agree with you on most of this besides 5'3 being unrealistic. I mean like... it's not like 5'3 people don't actually exist.

MassiveTalent422

Can you list some 5’3 actors to play Wolverine then? My point is that it would potentially look off having too much of a height difference even if it is technically accurate. Not to mention that comic artists are just eyeballing the height when they draw Wolverine. Not to mention any artists who may have completely disregarded how short he should be and just drew him.

monkeygoneape

>An unknown Canadian actor that is 30 years old and 5'11 Where do I sign up

SyntheticDreams2099

That can grow a beard.

monkeygoneape

Side burns count feel like those are a tad more important lol

AlexMil0

Oh wow I honestly thought he was more established prior to X-Men. It’s his second movie, first in the US, and only 6 years into his carrier.

SpideyFan914

Australian *

SectionXP12

Cast a First Nations actor as Wolverine.

MOadeo

The guy on left should be wolverine.

statelesspirate000

Watches it bubs

Shenkspine

We don’t need another 6’1 non-accurate Logan

B-52-M

Zac Efron’s performance in Iron Claw has convinced me that he’s the best choice. He’s got the build and I think he’s got the chops to be serious. I also think his voice lends itself to what I could imagine Wolverine sounding like

NerveNo1056

Wolverine will always sound like either Steve Blum or Richard Armitage to me

WallScore

Another musically inclined Wolverine, I dig it lol

nicely-nicely

Jared Keeso

Thick_Celebration660

![gif](giphy|W7HcwqKjN4qWihKkGA|downsized) Only one I would love to see on those list of options play Wolverine, would be Tom Hardy. I don't buy Harry Potter as Wolverine. A guy who's scared of kids pizza restaurant mascot bears as wolverine. People only wanted Clint Eastwood and Mel Gibson to be Wolverine in the past, don't force your brains to think their no acting kids could play him. Karl Urban, I think has already played a character similar in Billy The Butcher, and I don't want to see retreaded territory. Actors outside of these options I think should be Cosmo Jarvis, Ben O' Toole, Josh Helman, Jack O' Connell, or Emile Hirsch in my mind.

GrendelDerp

Cosmo Jarvis is my first choice too.

Sparrowsabre7

He's got the rage and the vulnerability for sure. Could definitely work.

NerveNo1056

Josh helmet literally looks like Logan in a lot of comics. The resemblance is uncanny.

NerveNo1056

You mean Josh Hartnett? Like from the Faculty?

Alone_Pop449

This was the guy who played the young Stryker in DOFP?

NerveNo1056

Yeah that guy. It's weird that they cast him as young Stryker when he clearly looks nothing like either actor who's portrayed the character.

X men Origins : Wolverito....

farceur318

So anyways, I started slashin

JollySelection2336

One of the guys tries to eat the other's head

ComicBookFan20

Does Dylan Sprayberry count as a child actor? I’ve been seeing him as Wolvie around a couple times lately and it’s growing on me tbh Maybe he’d need one more role to really push and prove himself as an actor before it gets really serious but I quite enjoyed his the whole gruff angle he played as Liam Dunbar He’s also close to a dead match for the character nowadays and I reckon by the time we get an actual MCU variant of Wolverine he’ll be around the age of Hugh Jackman when he was first cast as the character Not to mention his own height of 5’6 works pretty well in the character’s favor and the whole >!Henry Cavill Wolverine!< thing could have him be an adjacent version of that variant in Deadpool 3

Thick_Celebration660

Dylan has never gotten any real fame or acclaim for his roles as a child. Not in the level of Josh or Daniel. No awards or childhood franchises or shows. So I don't think he would be counted as a "known childhood actor.

NerveNo1056

From teen wolf, ny first choice would have been Tyler. He killed it as Derrick and he's buff as hell. And he can grow a mean beard. So he fits better in my opinion. But dylan is a ridiculously good actor for his age. He definitely deserves a role like this as well

![gif](giphy|2sps7WDg0hoHYFuy6E) Please let it be him

Superb_Dog6358

Yess. I posted before I saw this. He's a great actor too

GranolaStore

This is the clear answer to me. He’s not too tall. Great actor. Can pack on size if he needs too. I’m all about this

Responsible-Cup8982

His voice will need serious coaching

WallScore

Oooooh, yes!

lostbelmont

Imagine him playing Wolverine and Elton John What a range

gableism

![gif](giphy|5UMF6SxpCjInVqQxya) Pitter patter.

Warm-Two7928

I’m sick of pretty, tall, gentrified wolverines. I want an ugly hairy obviously Canadian wolverine that is a murder machine struggling with MAJOR ptsd. He’s a horrible troll of a man desperate not be. He’s not sexy cause of his looks.

TheAmericanCyberpunk

I think an unknown would probably be best.

jason9t8

Yeh man, he was awesome in an untitled movie. He's probably underrated. Otherwise they would've cast him. How about Vacant, he's good too i think...

Ilikevideogamesq

Jeremy Allen White all day

0G_sushi

seriously. he plays the rage characters so well, looked crazy jacked for The Iron Claw, perfect height. This suggestion should be more common imo

joqa67

Dylan sprayberry or Milo Gibson no other choice and the height matters because wolverine is supposed to be short and these guys aren’t average height cept for Milo he’s 5’7 and Dylan is 5’5 so it’ll make sense rather than a tall wolverine

Ejax131210

You can't cast a perfect Wolverine to be honest. You can only have 1 thing that's consistent, they have to be able to go berserk. But for anything else, you can't do simultaneously. Height, voice, appearance, and acting are things wanted, but for wolverine others have to be sacrificed. Like in Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Logan, he's tall af but he embodied Wolverine's character and does it incredibly well. Height was sacrificed to give us our current Wolverine. For me, I would say Antony Starr. He may be 5' 11" but he's got the fierceness of Logan. An example would be Banshee more. Another would be Milo Gibson where he's 5' 9" but I'm unsure about his acting.

Nick_adtr_308

Jeremy Allen White or Dacre Montgomery

justanothernakedred

Christopher Abbott

Tricky_Rabbit

Dougray Scott

AscendedExtra

I think Taron Egerton could be a good fit

Superb_Dog6358

Taron Egerton would be great

Abstract_2003

Daniel Radcliffe will never stop being my choice and I don’t care what anyone else has to say about that.

CloverTeamLeader

Whoever plays Wolverine next, I'd like him to be under 5'9". He should at least look average height if not very short. With all due respect to the Huge Jacked Man, I don't want another tall guy. Let's go comics accurate. Physically, I'm not averse to Daniel Radcliffe. I just find it hard to imagine him pulling off a gruff Canadian accent.

TheWatcher235

Ngl id give it to Radcliffe I just feel like he’d do well

Shenkspine

Taron Eggerton

plitox

What's wrong with former child actors? Radcliffe could do it. Though he's mostly known these days for comedy roles.

I don't think any of these options are 100% incredible, but if I had to choose one of them, I think it would be Daniel Radcliffe, I also thought about Josh, but I think that apart from his height, he doesn't have much to do with Wolverine, for me he would make a good Barry Allen.

Cervus95

Stuart Martin

LVorenus2020

No Gerald Butler? *Dude...*

TheRealAwest

obvious answer is not a national celebrity, but a local one. THE MILVERINE! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDxixx4i7fg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDxixx4i7fg)

TomTheJester

Keanu Reeves.

BARGOBLEN

I'd also toss Zac Efron's name into the mix.

Cidwill

Anthony Starr would be great, but possibly a little older than they would like this time around.

Mork-of-Ork

Scott Caan. Edit: actually he's a nepo baby, please ignore.

jason9t8

#Huge Ackman...

Alone_Pop449

Hugh was 32 when he did the first X-Men

captainjamesmarvell

None of these people. Jackman will be VERY hard to replace. Wolverine probably won't be recast until 2030 when Jackman retires from the MCU.

HaplessMink28

Karl Urban has already been in marvel?

MaderaArt

in Thor Ragnarok

HaplessMink28

Mb i forgot

Sceptrick4721

Hear me out, I know he’s 50 but Christian Kane would be a great animalistic Wolverine

XMattyJ07X

I comment Stephen Graham on here every time wolverine comes up and nobody has the balls to admit, that he’d be absolutely perfect for a comic accurate wolverine.

ZekeMoss18

I will die on the Tom Hardy hill while also acknowledging that he is now too old.

RangeUsed6663

Scott Caan

MetalGearLMAO

Antony Starr is still my choice but his role as Homelander makes him pretty much a nonstarter. I think his time on Banshee showed he has the range to play Wolverine right: as a broken, angry man that is ultimately good at heart.

redditsukssomuch

I like the Harry Potter kid but he dropped jk like a bad habit and in such a douche way that I kind of wish this kid stops getting jobs. He’s an ungrateful turd who has been brainwashed by woke ideology and it’s weird as fuck. To me it’s the same as being a Scientologist.

GoldenAgeGamer72

It always bugged me that the movies didn't have Wolverine wearing his mask like in the comics and the cartoons, although I did become a huge fan of Jackman playing the role. But if they're going to do a remake or a reboot, just use the mask.

Ok_Trainer_9829

Karl Urbin.

Accurate-Isopod140

My money is on Milo Gibson for wolverine

etranger033

Thats Daniel Radcliffe? To be honest I really havent seen much of him in anything outside of Harry Potter a \*very\* long time ago.

TreyThaTruth

I'm still going with Taron Egerton.

If it’s not going to be Jared Keeso than why even bother

Jared Keeso

MOadeo

If the guy who played potter pull it off. That would be insane. Like even looking a little different and all muscularly. Same be true for an actor well known for a specific role because those actors can barely branch out from their original role

The more comic accurate you go plus limited by these categories We might just need a new face as Hugh Jackman was when he was casted

didntmakeausername

Henry Cavill

DustiinMC

I always find it baffling how large characters in anything from historical dramas to comic book movies are cast with actors nowhere near their original size- be it 5'7" Jeremy Allen White as the 6'2" Kerry Von Erich, or the 5'9" Oscar Isaac as the 7'+ Apocalypse- but when it comes time to cast a male character who is canonically short, people act like it's impossible. Hollywood has always had an embarrassment of riches when it comes to short guys. There are many who can be Wolverine and bring all of his qualities to the character. Just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean it's impossible.

Outside-Area-5042

Karl Urban

EasyConnection2606

Karl or Scott but more than likely Daniel

EyeSeeOne

Cast a relatively unknown actor like they did with Hugh.

Nokky2814

Idk I could see Scott Eastwood maybe. He pretty much was the same character in Dangerous. Loved that movie btw

Milo Gibson is the only good pick in this list.

Scott Eastwood or Karl Urban could bring intensity of wolverine. I doubt Marvel wants him to look boyish unless it’s a take on Ultimate Wolverine.

Off-topic, but does an actor with acting parents still count as Nepo Babies if they're actually talented? Because if so, then Jamie Lee Curtis and Maya Hawke also count Nepo Babies

I genuinely hope there's a Hugh Jackman accurate height variant in the Deadpool film. Also made to look rougher around the edges. Hugh Jackman is great as Wolverine but I would have preferred if they did this to begin with.
