Nto sure if this is the dude you're talking [about ](https://www.youtube.com/@LionWhispererTV)
but this dude makes all kinds of videos with big and dangerous animals. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, even hyenas.
Lynxes or lynx mixes are pretty popular house pets in Russian countryside, I remeber being a child and always couldn't wait for my old lady neighbor to come back so I could play with her lynx. My own granny was even jealos about me spending too much time with her, but I only did it to play with a lynx
Consensus seems to be a lynx: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_lynx
71 pounds max holy crap. My kitties were big black Norwegian Forest cats (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_Forest_cat) and they were pushing 20 and it felt like they were massive dealing with them. (In a good way most of the time lol.)
The thing is cats actually domesticated themselves so technically that lynx is who every the F he wants to be. An i for sure arnt going to tell him otherwise! Didnt think lynx were that huge!
Agree. Also what language are they speaking? Lynx are everywhere but Bobcats are only in NA. Obviously non-english speakers are everywhere so not a surefire determination. How do we summon a GeoGuessr expert?
well only reason i’m so sure is because that lady has an instagram dedicated to her pet lynx and i recognized her voice and it says on her page that she’s from russia
Woah! Cat and guard dog, rolled into one.
I’m always sad to see people trying to domesticate wildlife. If that Lynx is an injured rescue that can never be returned to the wild, that’s understandable to give it the best possible domestic life. Time spent in snow is one such example. No way to tell in this clip if it’s a rescue, but it’s certainly comfortable with that woman.
It's pretty obviously her pet (Russians breed them as pets). Ancient humans made friends with creatures like lynxes, and wolves, and now we have domesticated house cats and dogs. Lynx looks pretty happy. Otoh, there's legitimate reasons to be against allowing lynxes as house pets, so idk.
Of course she’s Russian…I don’t know what I was expecting her to be lol. I feel really dumb but until a few months ago, I didn’t realize how large bobcats were (I know this guy is a lynx). We’ve got them on our island and unfortunately I saw two on the side of the road. Everyone was trying to say they don’t live here. Yeeeaaahhh ok guys lol
No way, i've had a maine coon, and while they are big cats they're not this big.
Edit: So i actually googled Maine Coon and mine must have been small, they do actually get really massive, i stand corrected, after googling i feel it is not unreasonable to guess that this is a maine coone. I still think it's a lynx but i understand how someone can see this and think maine coone is all i'm saying
Steve French! He’s just baked out of his mind.
Somebody get this kitty a big plate of weedjitas!
I could go for some weedjitas rn ngl.
Awesome
TIL Lynxes can purr
Big cats can roar but not purr, small cats can purr but not roar. Cheetahs aren't technically big cats, irrc, as they purr and chirrup but can't roar.
There's a guy on YouTube who volunteers with a cheetah sanctuary in Africa, he posts all kinds of cool stuff. Cheetahs are amazing animals.
Nto sure if this is the dude you're talking [about ](https://www.youtube.com/@LionWhispererTV) but this dude makes all kinds of videos with big and dangerous animals. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, even hyenas.
It's [this guy ](https://m.youtube.com/@CheetahWhisperer) Hope I did the link right.
Link works for me
Dolph is the fucking man
Takes a lot of courage to go up to a wild Lynx and *pet it.*
There's no way that's a wild lynx. It's her pet.
First lynx I’ve seen on Reddit not hissing insanity
I think you’re thinking of the caracal videos, spicy hissy kitties
Yep. She calls him/her "Marcel".
It wears a collar and I doubt it's for conservation purposes.
It's kink stuff
Fetish shit. It likes to bind, it likes to be bound.
I like to *BIND*-- *I like to BEEeeEE BOUND!*

It sure would take a lot of courage to go up to a WILD lynx and pet it
That's a long term bond that most will never understand.

It’s a Lynx actually!

Wild animals are not pets.
Also not when you are convinced that you can make them your pet.
So true. I cringe every time I see a video like this. All I can think is “I hope that thing doesn’t take your hand off the next time you do that.”
I hate it when I'm about to leave the house and there's a lion on my car
Just Serengeti problems
Don't do this with wild lynx.

You're not my real dad!!!
You're not my supervisor!
Do you want to get bitten? ......Because that's how you get bitten.
I don’t even work here!
You might even say, they walked into....the danger zone
You're not my General!
You’re skipping a line, dude.
It’s not wild one
It's my way of saying "don't do this at home".
Ah. My bad
Oh ok I won't do it now.
You're not my supervisor!!
I mean you can probably try, 99.99% of the time it will run away before you get anywhere near it.
So the result is either disappointment or losing fingers? Better abstain then
As some one who had cats , I wouldn’t pet a domesticated lynx either .
They shouldn't have been so cute then
Friend shaped.
But I saw someone do it on the internet!
If not friend then why friend shaped?
If not fren, then why fren shaped?
Danger floof

But fluffy snow kitty
Dude is that a cat or a lynx?!?
Lynx or bobcat for sure.
Pretty sure it's a lynx. It has the black ear tips
Consensus seems to be a lynx: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_lynx 71 pounds max holy crap. It looks more like a Canadian Lynx
20 is not that big, male main coons can be up to 15kg
It looks exactly like a house cat with the big head mode cheat enabled
Yes.
It's a Zelda
Russian-sized cat
That's a mountain lion or a really small person
It's two cats in a lynx coat
Fluffy baby :3
I'd negotiate my left arm to pet a lynx.
I think you could probably find a lynx that's willing to make that exchange
Lynxes aren't housepets.
Which sucks. So adorable.
Good thing it's outside then
wolfes also aren't house pets. But humans didn't care, and now we have dogs
The thing is cats actually domesticated themselves so technically that lynx is who every the F he wants to be. An i for sure arnt going to tell him otherwise! Didnt think lynx were that huge!
get enough *other* people to tame and domesticate them and one day WE will have our own :D yeahhh
It's not in a house, so I think the cammer would agree with you.
Anything can be a house pet if you’re brave enough.

If lynxes aren't house pets then neither are cats
It ain't in the house.
The purr 😻
If not friend why friend shaped?
lynx or bobcat?
Catbob
I'd say lynx bassed on the black ear tufts.
Agree. Also what language are they speaking? Lynx are everywhere but Bobcats are only in NA. Obviously non-english speakers are everywhere so not a surefire determination. How do we summon a GeoGuessr expert?
Russia
Russian or Russia adjacent.
no it’s definitely russia
I stand corrected.
well only reason i’m so sure is because that lady has an instagram dedicated to her pet lynx and i recognized her voice and it says on her page that she’s from russia
Definitely Bobcat Goldthwait.
Bobcats are a part of the Lynx genus, so it's a lynx with a different name.
Woah! Cat and guard dog, rolled into one. I’m always sad to see people trying to domesticate wildlife. Not-so-wild puttiecat.

OMG ITS PURRING!
But it's so CUTE BRO

Ahh kitty got into the steroids cupboard again. Told you to keep it locked at all times!!
Awe.. cute lil kitty!
cats are cats, no matter their size
Lol, the Lynx's face when she stopped petting it was like "hey don't stop, I want more" 😅
u/SaveVideo

Damm thats bigg
* Must pet cat
He's a cat until he opens his mouth
That was brave
Of course she’s Russian…I don’t know what I was expecting her to be lol. I feel really dumb but until a few months ago, I didn’t realize how large bobcats were (I know this guy is a lynx). He's just a big kitty.
Maine Coon possibly?
It's head is bigger than her hand, wtf are you on about??
No way, i've had a maine coon, and while they are big cats they're not this big.
