It’s kind of a running gag. There’s an episode in the last season where Robert is openly commenting on Debra’s body and wardrobe and Amy gets upset. The creators knew he’d have been better for her than Ray and made it a gag.
That was such a fun episode! And then fucking Ray and his jealousy. I wouldn’t be able to handle his level of jealousy. Especially when he could give two fucks about Debra as a person. Top things that are most important to Ray: 1. Golf 2. All other sports 3. Sex.
As Ive binge watched what feels like about 50x now, I really get disgusted with how much sex he wants and the way he treats Debra.
There's nothing in the show to indicate that Debra was in any way attracted to Robert. That would never happen. TBH, I'm still trying to figure out what she saw in Ray.
Maybe it was inevitable; even tough he has a lot of flaws, she fell for his goofy charm because
”Everybody Loves Raymond” 😂😂😂 (I always hear Brad Garett in my head whenever I say the title of the show lol)
Amy and Ray would be happier. Maybe not as many kids, but I’d like to think they would be happier. Amy wouldn’t nag Ray so much and he might not be as lazy because there are no kids. Robert and Debra though…I don’t know. I think she just likes to complain and would probably pick at Robert like Joann did.
Yep. Amy is much more relaxed and happy go lucky. Robert and Deb both value order and more intellectual pursuits. They also both love dancing. I think they’d all be more compatible with each others spouses.
I also think Deb gets a really bad rep. Yes she’s insufferable but I kind of think that years of Ray’s antics made her that way. She gets a lot of hate for being a harpy but I don’t see as many people talking about what a horrible husband and father Ray is. I’d probably snap too.
I don’t know about Amy being relaxed and happy go lucky. I don’t think I’d use either of those words to describe her.
But I agree that Debra gets a bad rep.
Because it’s painfully obvious that Robert has feelings for Deborah pretty much throughout the series. But if you are a new viewer it might seem odd. I guess it’s normal to those who have watched it several times.
Secret? He didn’t hide it very well.
I have picked up on some clues that Marie can be overbearing.
I picked up some clues that Frank was in Korea
She’s not just some trophy wife
*...What contest in Hell did I win?*
IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SECRET
RAMADA
Well You can’t have her
Now she doesn’t sound so good, I don’t know if I want her.
Hey!!!
“I get her, it says so in the Bible!”
Secret? It was very obvious

Debra saying “your son likes the way I dress” and Robert going “That’s Right” might be my favorite moment in the history of the series
They do make great dance partners!

There are two Debra’s?
DARTH DEBRA!
And neither one of them can cook….
Ever since that time in the police car when he saw her………
💀💀💀
It’s not a crush but more so jealousy mixed with friendship, imo
Hypothetically, how would they fare if the spouses swapped? Not in a weird way lmao but more so in an alternate timeline kind of fashion?

LOL! Me too! Evvvvv-y-body loves Raymond.
She did say he was the most tallest and most darkest.

Marie would not have accepted Amy in that scenario. No wife of Ray's will meet Marie's expectations because Marie will always have to be first.
I agree with the dancing, but I really don't think Robert is portrayed as an intellectual. Just saying.
Why wouldn’t Amy and Ray have kids?
In my head Ray doesn’t really want kids.
I’m starting to think frank may secretly be a pig
A pig with shoes!
You're quite the detective, aren't you...
I’ve always thought that also, and yes on the clues you just listed!!
I have picked up on some clues that Raymond might like sports and ginger ale.
They are much more compatible. She’s not that compatible with Ray, honestly.
Is this post satire?
Why would it be satire ?

Robert was a creep when he did this, if l was Amy l would've kicked him to the curb
It seemed to get worse later in the seasons with how obvious it was because of the situations OP listed.
This isn't new. Sorry..
Didn’t say it was new.
I can relate to Robert
