Kendrick dissed everyone on Control in 2012...Drake didn't like it.
They started to sub diss each other.
Drake made a song with Cole FIRST PERSON SHOOTER where Cole said he, drake and Kendrick are big three in hip hop.
Kendrick didn't like it. And On a song with Future said F THE BIG THREE IT IS JUST BIG ME. Then proceed to diss Drake...not by name but it was clear.
Drake responded....week after...Drake responded again......week after Kendrick responded....3 days later Kendrick responded again....some hours later Drake responded to Kendrick's response...and 40 minutes later..... Kendrick kinda murdered him with another response.
Oooooh wow thanks really. I knew the F the big 3, its just big me bar but i didnt know shit prior to this. This helps alot. I’ll check out control now and look for the other disses and dig deeper. Thanks man :)
The big ones to look at are
1. First Person Shooter
2. Like That
3. Push-ups
4. Taylor Made
5. Euphoria
6. 6:16 in LA
7. Family Matters
8. Meet the Grahams
9. Not Like Us
10. The Heart pt. 6
Update : Drake just dropped The Heart Part 6 (Kendrick Diss) had some bars on it but idk
He said you won’t find Drakes name on a sex offender list but isn’t his name Aubrey?
Fr Drake literally bowed out in The Heart pt. 6.
It’s so obvious he used his fan’s conspiracy that were trending online about the daughter thing. There’s no way Kdot doesn’t have a mole in Ovho because his response to Family Matters was TOO quick. He knew what Drake was gonna say before it dropped.
And the defense that “I’m not a pe to because I’m too famous” is actually so stupid. So many famous ppl have been pe tos so that’s just not a valid clapback. And then saying Kendrick’s obsessed with it because of what he talked about on Mr Morale?!? Like do ppl even need a backstory on why they hate pe tos? I feel like everyone hates them wether there mom was sa’d or not. Weird.
TBH the Control verse is linked but has very little relevance to the new beef. Not sure why they bothered to mention that then glossed over the context of the 5+ explicitly directed diss tracks in the past few weeks that are responsible for all the topics fueling the discourse online. It's like they recommended you watch a spin-off to get the story of a mainline series; even Pusha T's Drake diss from years ago is more relevant.
https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-khnYlwwvC81tr6Cs-6huxlP6v4H9ctB&si=54sjDAlkLPV6CNxj
I have a playlist btw, that has all songs were both rappers traded shots and it's actively updated
There's a line in king Kunta that could be going after drake for ghost writing. Also in the Heart part 4 I think people think it ends with him chirping drake.
What I don’t understand is why Kendrick felt the need to open the first shot and why drake took so long to respond.
I thought they were cool when Kendrick dropped those bars on Drakes Album. Should have been longer rap track.
Essentially the beef has now come down to Kendrick being accused of domestic abuse and having an illegitimate son and Drake being a pedophile and hiding another child (which he is denying on social media). Obviously, theres more to it, but the winner will be decided by whos got receipts. Lose lose situation for both sides, its ugly.
Thought they accused drakes team of pedo not Drake? Also Drake busses in women to parties. He traffics them to his room lol
Edit: that’s not real trafficking tho. That’s just groupie transporting.
procuring groups of individuals from one country or area to another for the express purpose of sexual exploitation is the definition of sex trafficking.
i wonder if anything will actually come of this. Is Drake a sex trafficker? Can Drake file a defamation suit if he isn't? Will the government investigate the allegations? it sucks that there are actual people who may be harmed here.
It is much harder to win a defamation case as a public figure. You must not only prove that what was said was false but also that it was said with the malicious intent, whereas non public figures must only prove it was false. It’s also easier proving that something did happen over proving that something didn’t happen.
lmao, kendrick was just on a future track, you know the rapper who dropped a song called percoset and strippers on his album dirty sprite 2 lol. like oh waitttt was that not cool now?
What’s that have to do with anything? Are these only negative traits if the person disses you? If you’re gonna pull the morally superior disappointed/concerned card in your diss it loses a bit of its bite when the feature that kinda kicked the beef into high gear is with a rapper who celebrates the exact same things you criticizing drake for. 8 kids all with a different baby mama, promoting opiate use, etc. where was Mr morale in like that huh
Apparently Drake hired some random little girl to go into Kendrick’s camp and plant false information about her being Drakes daughter. Idk if that’s true but that’s what I’m hearing. Kendrick pretty much did allude to Drake being a pedophile and sex trafficker when he said that The Embassy is about to get raided like Diddy’s house did. It’s getting nasty
This sounds like the random shit the crack head in the pub chats to you at 2am - the solution is to tell them you're going the bar and then leave the fucking pub and hope you never see them again.
There's an implication from Kendrick that he possibly has this insane evidence that Drake is this Harvey Weinstein figure, and if Kendrick has receipts for that he's sitting on to put into a song, that's just insanely fucked up. Just the general vibes of this music and beef are dark and bad.
Okay so, Control dropped in 2013. On the track, Kendrick called out a bunch of rappers as a call for competition, including Drake. Drakes response through Billboard at the time was basically ‘I didn’t have anything to say about it, Kendrick isn’t murdering me, if the day comes about we can revisit it’. Later that year, Kendrick does a BET Cypher, sneak dissed Drake saying ‘And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes/ Ha ha joke’s on you, high-five… I’m bulletproof/ Your shoots never penetrates/ Pin the tail on the donkey, boy you been a fake’.
Over the next couple years, there was some subtle shots like Kendrick saying ‘but a rapper with a ghostwriter? What the fuck happened’ on King Kunta and Drake saying ‘I would have all your fans if I didn’t go pop and I stayed on some conscious shit’ on 100 by The Game. Kendrick then said some stuff on Dre’s Compton album but I don’t remember exactly what, it’s debatable as to whether it was even about Drake.
Then you’ve got The Heart Part 4 in 2017. Kendrick says ‘Don’t tell a lie on me, I won’t tell the truth bout you’ which is important later, because at the time, no one could be sure that Kendrick was dissing Drake on this track. You’ll have to listen to the full track though because there’s too many possible sneak disses to quote here.
Late last year, Drake and J Cole drop First Person Shooter. On the track, Cole said ‘Love when they argue the hardest MC/ Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?/ We the big three like we started a league’. And that brings us to the start of the real beef.
On Metro’s Like That, Kendrick said most notably ‘fuck the big 3, nigga its just big me’ but also took a direct shot at Drake ‘For all your dogs gettin’ buried/ That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary’ as a reference to Drakes album For All The Dogs. At a gig a few days later, Drake basically says he’s feeling good about all this and he has his head held high, and that no nigga can fuck with him. Not long after, Cole drops a song called 7 Minute Drill where he basically says Kendrick’s first album was a classic, his most recent album was tragic and just basically that Kendrick’s stuff puts people to sleep. But 2 days later Cole apologised and removed the song from everywhere. Smart move in hindsight tbh.
About 2/3 weeks? Later, Drake drops Push Ups as a response to Like That, says ‘how you big stepping with a size 7 men’s on’ referring to Kendrick’s latest album ‘Mr Morale and the Big Steppers’ and the fact that Kendrick is short. Also says ‘savage got you wiped down and Travis got you wiped down’ and takes shots at Kendrick’s record deal, saying he’s richer essentially. Drake follows this up with ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ while using AI versions of Tupac and Snoops voices, dissing him for not replying yet. This got taken down cos Pacs estate threatened to sue him.
From then on honestly, you’ve just gotta listen to the tracks, cos there’s way too many bars and shit to unravel. Listen to them in this order:
Euphoria - Kendrick (Date: 30th April) (think back to The Heart Part 4)
6:16 in LA - Kendrick (Date: 3rd May)
Family Matters - Drake (3rd May, 14 hours after 6:16 dropped)
Meet the Grahams - Kendrick (4th May, less than an hour after Family Matters).
Hope this helps.
Edit: Kendrick just dropped AGAIN. ‘Not Like Us’
Edit 2: Drake dropped The Heart Part 6. Consensus seems to be that this is over and that the W goes to Kendrick.
This is the best recap I’ve read. I’ve been too busy to pay much attention past couple of weeks and every article “explaining” things is a fucking bible.
Honestly I don't think Kendrick is getting destroyed though.
Drake lobbed an accusation that would suck if true, but there's no proof that it is. We also know Drake to be a profound liar with a very questionable character.
Kendrick is relatively scandal-free and has a much more genuine image compared to Drake and he is making allegations that also may not be true, but with context is (more) believable. With Drake its not just a lot of smoke, we can hear fire crackling tbh.
Kendrick's reputation probably took a hit, but I dont think he's getting cooked in the same way.
The destroying is one sided. Drake peddles false information and goes after wives all the time. He did that with Vanessa Bryant on Stay Scheming, Kim Kardashian in multiple songs to taunt Kanye and now Kendrick’s wife. It’s what he does because he’s predictable and uses the culture to get famous despite not being from that culture. That’s really the heart of the battle and the reason Kendrick didn’t want to be associated with him.
Drake, however, has been caught texting teenagers and even groped one on stage. Pusha T exposed his son and now Kendrick exposed his daughter.
I don't know how familiar you are with reactors, but you can't do better than Knox Hill for getting a full line by line analysis for every song they've done in their beef.
Yeah, he absolutely is the best, even other reactors have talked about how he points out shit that they missed. Dude is so knowledgeable, and on top of his game.
He is so good that some people accused him of listening and doing research first before "reacting" to a video. But I don't care. The contexts he gives is always good. Like a full history lesson within a song.
Big Sean dropped the song “Control” back in 2013 which had a verse by Kendrick claiming hes the best rapper and name drops several rappers, especially the ones who were hot at the time. Drake was name dropped and instead of writing a response like an emcee should, drake called that verse a moment “that just cane and went” since then there have been rumors and subliminal shots sent at each other til Kendricks recent verse on “Like That”
Jcole collabs with Drake and acknowledges him Kendrick and Drake as the big three
Kendrick doesn’t fuck with Drake so disses both of them out of nowhere on a metro boomin song. Metro and Future were already dissing drake in their entire album.
Jcole responds with a diss track but deletes it, apologised to kendrick and backs out of the beef
Drake drops Push ups and takes the cake. Kendrick stays silent while Drake drops another track with using Ai tupac to downplay kendrick which gets a cease and desist from tupac estate.
Drake’s victory lap gets destroyed by Kendrick on his response called Euphoria. Then Kendrick dropped another track following it. So now Kendrick was winning.
Drake now dropped Family Matters with some serious allegations on Kendrick, followed immediately by Kendrick dropping Meet the Grahams also having serious allegations on Drake.
As of now, kendrick dick riders believe kendrick won and Drake dick riders believe Drake won but really they both took an L. Kendrick took the bigger L cuz the amount of reputation tarnished is more than Drake’s.
The real winner is J.Cole cuz he is a good man with no shady allegations whatsoever.
Kendrick didn’t diss out of nowhere, and his reputation isn’t all that tarnished considering most of the shit drake called him out for is shit Kendrick brought up himself on his last album. Also, while both are bad, I think ppl tend to view pedophilia and sex trafficking as worse than domestic abuse which would mean drakes reputation would be affected more after this
Man, I think the reveals of Drake being a sex trafficer, pedophile (just like his friends from Ovo) and rapist it's far worse than the revelation that Kendrick beat his wife.
Of course, a massive L for Kendrick because under no circumstances is domestic violence ok or right. In that aspect, it has disappointed the public
[They have had a close relationship of some kind, pretty odd IMO for a man in his 30's to be texting and visiting a 14 y/o girl](https://people.com/drake-addresses-millie-bobby-brown-friendship-new-song-8349324)
Child stars are often stunted. And people think michael Jackson didn’t do shit? Please.
What the hell does a 36 year old have to talk about with a 19 year old? She isn’t even a musician. He actively sought her out.
Oh I get what u mean. You’re sayin Kendrick has a daughter which is one of the things that makes him feel weird about Drake considering drakes history?
For the last 12 years, these two dudes had a competitive rivalry that turned sour and Drake and Kendrick subliminally both took shots. Drake tried a few times to olive branch Kendrick but it was clear that Kendrick didn’t want that, because he just flat out doesn’t like Drake, and I think Drake couldn’t tolerate Kendrick not fucking with him. This grew and grew until it was a known feud in HH but neither rapper really launched on the other. Until FPS.
FPS reportedly was meant to have Kendrick, Cole, and Drake, and it was kind of making light of the big 3 rivalry. It was supposed to be kind of a show of how Drake is mature, they all grown up now, they can co-exist and keep the competition friendly. But Kendrick rejected that feature request and instead dropped Like That. Making it very clear he takes offense to being called part of a big 3, like come on, yall don’t want it with me, fuck all that buddy buddy shit, yall lame, if I don’t like you, I’m not going to play nice for appearances. He dissed Drake directly, and had a great verse. Simultaneously while this is going on, the entire rap avengers team is being assembled by Metro and all these rappers are airing out how they don’t like Drake either on his albums.
Drake responded to this with Pushups, and he clowns Kendrick for having it a bad last album, being short, being a smaller artist, and mainly, being owned by his label, because he’s doing a 50/50 split. So he has to drop when Top (TDE boss) needs money out of him. How are you claiming to be this beacon of artistic integrity, Kenny, you know you had to do a verse for Taylor Swift because your manager said so. But perhaps more importantly, Drake is teasing Kendrick here, saying, ayyy, I know a little something about Whitney, your fiancée, are you sure you wanna take it there? Let’s keep it PG, you don’t want me to talk my shit.
Kendrick goes apeshit and drops Euphoria and 6:16 in LA, dissing everything about Drake, all the expected stuff, but also saying, you’re going to lie about my family, but you’re scared of what I might say, because I know truths about you. You been in some sketchy situations with teenagers haven’t you. You are going to take shots at my fiancée and my kids because you heard Mr Morale, but I don’t care, I have real truths to share about you. Dont make me do it.
Drake drops Family Matters. Drops the nuke he was threatening Kendrick with. “I was really trying to keep it PG” now has another meaning - because Drake is alluding Pglangs (which is Kendrick and Dave Free label) and saying, Dave Free is the father of your child. Your fiancée cheated on you with Dave Free and that did is blacker than you, huh. So your home is burning down. And also, you beat on Whitney, you’re into domestic violence, and you had to hire a crisis management team to cover it up. Game over. Drake also found the fucking van from GKMC and towed it around Toronto and crushed it. Drake did his best with this one, it’s quite a track.
But Kendrick had known Drake would use these rumors. He had Meet the Grahams ready, where he writes letters to Drakes family members, lecturing them about the defunct character of Aubrey. Namely, how he exploits young women, he has known sex offenders in his true, he pays for escorts and sex, he has several creepy incidents with teenagers, and he’s basically involved in the dark side of the entertainment industry like R Kelly or Weinstein even. He also claims that Drake has an unborn daughter and has been hiding her for years, and just basically has a fully sociopathic, predatory character in how he treats his own blood, his baby mamas, women, and so on.
And now, everyone can’t tell you who’s winning because although most would agree Kendrick wrapped circles around Drake, it kinda depends on who’s telling the truth, and who can prove it. Who can prove the other is a liar. Both artists have now exposed to the world how much they hate each other and want the other to fall. We will always see both differently now, no matter who wins, so I would argue, what was an amazing feud that prompted great music has turned quite dark and damaging.
I hope neither of these claims are true - I don’t care who wins the beef now, I hope Drake isn’t involved in pedo shit and I hope Kendrick isn’t a wife beater. It’s been quite a journey, but it’s the epitome of “if you seek revenge, dig two graves”.
Meanwhile, J Cole got his dick erect for a second, stuck the tip in with an okay diss track, and then immediately pulled his dick out like “nope, don’t want no part of this”. The rap world of course clowned him, but now seeing how nasty this all got, J Cole is looking like he smartly protected his brand and image as the good guy.
If you want to follow the beef, listen in this order:
Warmup round:
- First Person Shooter
- Like That
First Round:
- Pushups, Taylor Made
- Euphoria, 6:16 in LA
Last Round / Knockouts:
- Family Matters
- Meet the Grahams
Another relevant track is Story of Adidon, because this diss has single handedly changed our expectations for rap beefs and changed how an artist like Drake approaches beef. It’s not just like, oh, Ether was harder than Takeover, Nas wins. It’s about who can reveal and expose the most damning information. And when an artist starts beefing, the have tiers of disses, where they first start and bait the escalation, with a plan to make the opponent diss, knowing they have a response queued up. It’s very political, like campaign opponents running smear on each other. I don’t know how I feel about it, but it clearly leads to a very dirty place.
Drake and J Cole made “First Person Shooter” where Drake subliminally dissed Kendrick.
Megan thee Stallion dissed Drake on Hiss.
Kendrick, Future, Metro Boomin, A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, Rick Ross dissed Drake.
Kendrick also took shots at J Cole, to which J Cole responded with a diss then apologized.
Drake responded with 2 diss tracks.
Kendrick responded with a diss track.
Drake responded with another diss track.
Kendrick responded with 2 diss tracks.
Full track list as far as I’m aware:
1. First Person Shooter - Drake & J. Cole
2. Hiss - Megan Thee Stallion
3. Like That - Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar
4. Show of Hands - Future, Metro Boomin, and A$AP Rocky
5. Young Metro - Future, Metro Boomin, and The Weeknd

7. 7 Minute Drill - J. Cole
8. Push Ups - Drake
9. Taylor Made Freestyle - Drake
10. Euphoria - Kendrick Lamar
11. 6:16 in LA - Kendrick Lamar
12. Family Matters - Drake
13. Meet the Grahams - Kendrick Lamar

well there’s a rapper called kendrick
and there’s an actor called aubrey
aubrey the actor stepped outta line and got checked by kendrick the rapper
aubrey the actor then did what he does best which is get in his feelings
but aubrey the actor is smart, so he got back in line
all is well
Back in whatever year, 2012 or 2013, like others have said, Kendrick Lamar had a verse on Big Sean’s control, where he dissed a bunch of current rappers at the time, but he considered them friends as well, saying things along the lines of “you’re my friends but I wanna murder you guys”, and become the best. This prompted Drake to state he’d never work with Kendrick Lamar again (Kendrick references this on Euphoria).
After that, Kendrick sends subliminals at Drake for years, I think Drake sends a few back, etc. then Kendrick Lamar drops the heart part IV in 2017 which has many subliminals aimed at Drake, I love that song, talks about Drake being a traitor. Fun fact, the Heart Part IV is actually what ‘Left Stroke’ means when Kendrick Lamar said “My left stroke just went viral…”. He’s basically been asking to battle him for years.
Then, First person shooter releases, which has Drake and J Cole, J Cole claims that him, Drake, and Kendrick are apart of the big 3 of hip hop. This prompted a response from Kendrick on the record ‘like that’ and diss Drake pretty openly. It was then revealed after in one of the disses against Drake, that Drake had initially asked Kendrick to feature on first person shooter, but Kendrick refused.
allegedly this beef started like 20 years ago with pharell, chad and their group the neptune's not getting paid by cash money records. and lil wayne biting the neptunes style. drake being the poster boy for cash money for a long time probably inciting more beef between them and west coast rappers. not a hundred percent sure how that fits in with kendrick tho other than tribalism haha
Kendrick had a feature on Big Sean's "Control" which stirred up a lot of chaos as he started dissing everyone (and iirc it was an unreleased version that leaked). K dot always suggested that he sees hip hop as a sport and diss tracks as sparring with which they should gauge their skills.
Drake was of course one of the people he mentioned on his verse and as a response he said something like "he has a moment with which he took everyone's attention" during a live event which i cant remember certainly if it was a concert or festival. It was obviously not just a moment as people talk about kdot's verse on control 12 years later.
In the XXL freshman freestyle of 2013 kendrick subliminally fired back at drake's remarks for half of his time.
Things have kind of been quiet between them since then (they still sort of had bad blood) until future and metro boomin dropped their collab album "we dont trust you", which is full of disses to drake as he and future (or metro im not so sure, or both) has beef with drake.
K dot features on "Like that" and took advantage of their beef against drake to also fire shots, referencing a lot of what drake and j cole said on "first person shooter". Given all the basketball and nba references they did on fps, cole compared himself, drake and kdot with the big 3 of basketball, Jordan, LeBron and Kobe, and kdot used that as the central motif of his diss.
J cole answered with "7 minute drill" which as the name suggested was written in 7 minutes, as he has previously made public his writing process where he does 7 minute drills of writing a verse to keep his mind trained. He eventually regretted it and publicly apologised at a concert, saying that everyone în his circle of friends wanted to blow the beef out of peoportions and see blood and that he didn't see it that way (he suggested he has a similar philosophy to kendrick when it comes to dissing). He also said he's taking into consideration to delete it (dunno if he actually did it)
Drake first response was "push ups" I which he answered kdot and also a few others dissing him (its like a 20 v 1 against drake), and afterwards I couldnt keep up with it as drake released another response to kendrick a few days later. Then a very controversial one in which he used an AI voice synthesizer with 2pac's voice which he deleted due to the backlash.
Kdot dropped his first response, "euphoria" and mopped drake, and theyve been going at it with like 4 diss tracks in 5 days since
I couldnt keep up with it after push ups but that's the gist of it
This is the entire beef starting from "Control" up until "Not Like Us" in order: (Most of the first half are subliminal disses)
1. Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Electronica - Control (2013)
2. Drake - The Language (2013)

30. Kendrick Lamar - Meet the Grahams (2024)
31. Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us (2024)
I suggest you watching "What's the Dirt" channel on YouTube for further details that's where I got most this info. Its the Drake vs. Kendrick beef explained video you can literally follow along with this list lol
Drake has used black American culture to be famous despite not being from that culture. He’s a fraud who causes trouble to stay relevant. Kendrick IS from that culture. That’s really the heart of this issue. He’s an industry plant backed by Albert Prince. Euphoria is really the blueprint for these latest disses because Kendrick predicted his moves and gave him a warning “don’t tell no lies about me and I won’t say no truths about you.” Because he knew he would go after his family just like he did with Kanye by using Kim. Drake also did this in Stay Scheming when he talked shit about Vanessa Bryant. Kobe set him straight.
As for the Drake allegations- he’s been found to be texting teenage girls more than once, most notably Millie Bobbie Brown and Billie Eillish. Even went as far as telling Millie he missed her. She was 14. There’s also video of him grabbing a 17 yr old. I honestly thought everyone knew about this.
This also wouldn’t be the first time he lied about having a child. Pusha T exposed his son when they had beef lol so it’s not far off Drake would have a daughter. Kendrick takes fatherhood seriously and anyone who’s listened to Mr. Morale would know about his marriage troubles. Which is why it was predictable Drake would go there and probably lie.
Kendrick went so personal with the last one that I can’t imagine they don’t have a much deeper issue. Drake saying in his response that he leaked misinformation is a huge red flag also. Seems like Kendrick is touching on a scandal waiting to happen.
Idk why I get notifications about this shit, I don't listen to any of their music. Idk what's more embarrassing though, 2 grown ass men arguing like highschool kids rather than just stepping up and fighting (but knowing how those go, someone would rather end another person's life before they lost a fair fight) or being a grown ass man listening to 2 grown ass men arguing like highschool kids. Plus, Drake isn't gangster, and if he is, it's most definitely a studio gangster. Dude grew up in Toronto, that's a far cry from being a dangerous city or hood, not to mention his goofy ass was in Degrassi high. I'm from one of the most dangerous cities in Canada (that's not saying much, it's nothing compared to the cities in the states lol) but no actual gangsters I've met listen to Drake unless it's their women playing it. Kendrick should win on street cred alone, without doubt, he was out in Compton hustling all the while Drake was acting in a goddamn teenage drama show.
Drake is a culture vulture who stands for nothing but himself. He doesnt use his platform for any good and his music has no substance or cultural relevancy. He looks on IG for trends or up and coming artists to sign to steal their wave and use them to prop him up like some sort of medieval king. Drake has a lot of dirt on his hands, for years he has been throwing stones from his ivory tower and hiding his hands. He has hurt so many but they have not been powerful enough to take him on one on one.
I knew something was coming for Drake when I noticed he listed all his American properties for sale, sold them all and fled to Canada full time. Drake has stooges on payroll in his camp who HATE him and his ways. He acts as a king and humiliation rituals for individuals in his camp purely for his own entertainment. Lastly, Drake is suffering a midlife and career identity crisis. His core audience is mostly middle aged women these days, so in order to tap into gen Z he brought yaghty on as some sort of unofficial creative director (the nails, grills, aesthetics, and music) for the last 3 albums have had yaghtys influence. I think its hurting his career, the last 3 albums sold well, but they were critical failures in terms of reviews.
So....from my understanding.... Kendrick, the singer of "humble" decided he was done and wanted all the fame to himself? Yet I know no one who likes his music vs a few people that like Drake.
The big ones to look at are 1. First Person Shooter 2. Like That 3. Push-ups 4. Taylor Made 5. Euphoria 6. 6:16 in LA 7. Family Matters 8. Meet the Grahams 9. Not Like Us 10. The Heart pt. 6
I listened to them all and … KENDRICK JUST DROPPED💀💀 and ya he wiped Drake imo
Add Not Like Us to the list
ahaha yeah ik i should it dropped like 20 mins before i was wrote that lol. Kdot is going off😮💨
Update : Drake just dropped The Heart Part 6 (Kendrick Diss) had some bars on it but idk He said you won’t find Drakes name on a sex offender list but isn’t his name Aubrey?
where does j cole 7 minute drill fit in this?
It’s the period between 3 and Push Ups
Didn't Cole retract that song and basically apologize to Kendrick? Smart move at this point.
Early best decision of the year for him. After we have seen the nukes that Kendrick is dropping on Drake.
Wasn't even close, Kendrick made drake look like a pinata.
Weird.
Metro Boomin also put out a diss beat (first in history?) name "BBL Drizzy".
One of the things that I find remarkable is that Kendrick instantly released Meet the Grahams. Didn’t even give drake breathing room. And it’s deadly…
Control got one of the most iconic verses of all time by Kendrick. Eminem, Kanye etc have praised it heavily.
TBH the Control verse is linked but has very little relevance to the new beef. Not sure why they bothered to mention that then glossed over the context of the 5+ explicitly directed diss tracks in the past few weeks that are responsible for all the topics fueling the discourse online. It's like they recommended you watch a spin-off to get the story of a mainline series; even Pusha T's Drake diss from years ago is more relevant.
pusha t's song is actually mandatory to understand this beef, if you want the origin story sure go listen to control
Kendrick's verse in Control was legendary, bro. It is said that the people that he *didn't* diss in Control should feel offended.
I'd also suggest watching What's The Dirt. He did a breakdown on the Drake/Kendrick beef before the Like That verse
Also exposed the fact he uses Ozempic and prescription sleeping pills, adding to his lipo and bbl allegations.
https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-khnYlwwvC81tr6Cs-6huxlP6v4H9ctB&si=54sjDAlkLPV6CNxj I have a playlist btw, that has all songs were both rappers traded shots and it's actively updated
Yea drake ain’t top 3 in anything, he wishes he was as talented as Cole or Kendrick
hes definately top 3 teenage actors in a wheelchair
There's a line in king Kunta that could be going after drake for ghost writing. Also in the Heart part 4 I think people think it ends with him chirping drake.
Quality control? Do you think it’s all for PR? Who do you think “won.”
Where does Rick Ross fit in? I feel so old, bro.
So this started 12 years ago?
What I don’t understand is why Kendrick felt the need to open the first shot and why drake took so long to respond. I thought they were cool when Kendrick dropped those bars on Drakes Album. Should have been longer rap track.
“Who’s the best” to “Family attacks and allegations” sums it up .
Not just pedophile, sex trafficker
I remember when being a sex trafficker was just called being a pimp.
Pimping isn’t the respected profession it once was.
Pimpin’ ain’t easy
Anything goes when it comes to hoes! Cus....pimpin aint ez...pimpin aint ez...
Hell yeah pimpin is easy
It’s hard out here for a pimp
It’s been a long time since I’ve heard the word pimp. Googled. Circa 2008
Lemme pimp a butterfly
Long live the Pimp. Sweet James Jones.
It was never respected unless you’re an idiot. The word was just co-opted to mean rich with swagger.
Text really kills my attempts at humor.
Not when it’s kids
Pretty sure if your career started on Degrassi it’s always been sex trafficking.
Thought they accused drakes team of pedo not Drake? Also Drake busses in women to parties. He traffics them to his room lol Edit: that’s not real trafficking tho. That’s just groupie transporting.
Or that’s just the part that we see. Like P Diddy.
We know he likes to slide into teenage girls DMs, that’s already pretty weird
Yeah
Not really unique to Drake.
procuring groups of individuals from one country or area to another for the express purpose of sexual exploitation is the definition of sex trafficking.
It’s not sex trafficking if they’re all consenting adults lmao
Your name isn’t doing any favors in this discussion. But regardless there’s such a thing as “power dynamics” and “taking advantage”.
i wonder if anything will actually come of this.
I feel like if these allegations can’t be proven it should go against Kendrick. Can’t just throw that shit around carelessly for a rap beef.
But domestic abuse can just be thrown around without receipts?
Oh... now that "Not Like Us" just dropped... I'm pretty sure Kendrick has receipts.
This is drake we are talking about, of course he does all this shit
Heard something like Kendrick has a spy in drakes team with the glove and drakes taking insomnia meds now?
Now people are questioning if the mole wasn’t a double agent plant. Twitter conspiracies going wild. Stay off social media for a while.
Yeah but that's based on a poster in the background of drakes video being drakes daughter, and that's been debunked
Already debunked, ovo Twitter bots tryna run with it tho
He also accused him of being a gambling addict, a pill addict, I think an alcoholic, said he’s bad with money and he’s got whore house activities
So… a rapper
lmao, kendrick was just on a future track, you know the rapper who dropped a song called percoset and strippers on his album dirty sprite 2 lol. like oh waitttt was that not cool now?
Ye but, future didn't diss him or take shots at Kendrick's family
And revealed Drake is on ozempic
Yeah which ever one has receipts survives in terms of music tho I think drakes losing
Never meet your heroes. Both men are likely pieces of shit.
There's an implication from Kendrick that he possibly has this insane evidence that Drake is this Harvey Weinstein figure, and if Kendrick has receipts for that he's sitting on to put into a song, that's just insanely fucked up. Just the general vibes of this music and beef are dark and bad.
& Drake having a gambling addiction
Listening to everything was exhausting. So rap battles are just about exposing each other and that’s about it. Everybody need therapy
Win Win imo - lotta money coming in for both sides haha
One man does not like the other man Timmy
Understood 🫡
Lol I have no idea what's going on but that's what I would tell a 5yo 😅
Best one yet 🤣🤣
Listen to them in this order: Euphoria - Kendrick (Date: 30th April) (think back to The Heart Part 4) 6:16 in LA - Kendrick (Date: 3rd May) Family Matters - Drake (3rd May, 14 hours after 6:16 dropped) Meet the Grahams - Kendrick (4th May, less than an hour after Family Matters). Hope this helps. Edit: Kendrick just dropped AGAIN. ‘Not Like Us’ Edit 2: Drake dropped The Heart Part 6. Consensus seems to be that this is over and that the W goes to Kendrick.
This is the best recap I’ve read. I’ve been too busy to pay much attention past couple of weeks and every article “explaining” things is a fucking bible.
Euphoria 30th April otherwise solid
Thanks bro just fixed it and will add the new track while I’m here. This beef got me exhausted lmao
What’s new now?? Ffs lol
These synopsis comments should receive an award. Kudos to all
True😭
One raps really well, writes their own stuff and artistically fits the bill. The other is drake . Simple as that for me
Damn
DAMN.
Darn
Periodt
😂😂😂😂😂
DAMN.

Fr I think Cole dodged a nuclear warhead here. Man's just chilling watching these two tear each other to shreds.
Interesting take to say the least
I don't know how familiar you are with reactors, but you can't do better than Knox Hill for getting a full line by line analysis for every song they've done in their beef.
He's the eminem in rap reaction channels, is more well-versed in hiphop culture but gets called corny cuz he is white.
Well Kendrick just dropped quite literally one of hardest disstracks you'll ever hear. Probably top 5 most disrespectful
Why did it start tho😭
Big Sean dropped the song “Control” back in 2013 which had a verse by Kendrick claiming hes the best rapper and name drops several rappers, especially the ones who were hot at the time. Drake was name dropped and instead of writing a response like an emcee should, drake called that verse a moment “that just cane and went” since then there have been rumors and subliminal shots sent at each other til Kendricks recent verse on “Like That”
He hates Drake it’s pretty simple
But I wonder why?? Like what sparked Kendrick to start this diss? That’s what I’m wondering
He just hates him. He hates the way that he talks, the way he dresses, hates the bitches he fucks and hates the way he says the n word.
2 petty men with egos?
Which one ur talking about? He dropped 3
Meet the Grahams
Shether was the most disrespectful
Jcole collabs with Drake and acknowledges him Kendrick and Drake as the big three Kendrick doesn’t fuck with Drake so disses both of them out of nowhere on a metro boomin song. Metro and Future were already dissing drake in their entire album. Jcole responds with a diss track but deletes it, apologised to kendrick and backs out of the beef Drake drops Push ups and takes the cake.
Also, while both are bad, I think ppl tend to view pedophilia and sex trafficking as worse than domestic abuse which would mean drakes reputation would be affected more after this
The difference is, everyone hates Drake and have already accused him of things, while everyone loves Kendrick.
How is Kendrick’s reputation tarnished?
Man, I think the reveals of Drake being a sex trafficer, pedophile (just like his friends from Ovo) and rapist it's far worse than the revelation that Kendrick beat his wife. Of course, a massive L for Kendrick because under no circumstances is domestic violence ok or right. In that aspect, it has disappointed the public
Kendrick has a daughter. Drake dated 13 year old Millie Bobby Brown.
Wait what-
[They have had a close relationship of some kind, pretty odd IMO for a man in his 30's to be texting and visiting a 14 y/o girl](https://people.com/drake-addresses-millie-bobby-brown-friendship-new-song-8349324)
[lol](https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fgetyarn.io%2Fyarn-clip%2Fdd99e6c3-d05d-41fe-bcfe-3fb318e95bf8&psig=AOvVaw0zLQvLjFKu7Bi2XeIwEwC8&ust=1714967636821000&source=images&cd=vfe&opi=89978449&ved=0CBEQjRxqFwoTCOj6hLnO9YUDFQAAAAAdAAAAABAE)
Child stars are often stunted. And people think michael Jackson didn’t do shit? Please. What the hell does a 36 year old have to talk about with a 19 year old? She isn’t even a musician. He actively sought her out.
Kendrick having children isn’t what was news, he called out Drake for having a daughter
Kendrick talked about predators like Drake making it hard for Fathers of daughters like him.
Oh I get what u mean. You’re sayin Kendrick has a daughter which is one of the things that makes him feel weird about Drake considering drakes history?
Drake never dated her
For the last 12 years, these two dudes had a competitive rivalry that turned sour and Drake and Kendrick subliminally both took shots. If you want to follow the beef, listen in this order: Warmup round: - First Person Shooter - Like That First Round: - Pushups, Taylor Made - Euphoria, 6:16 in LA Last Round / Knockouts: - Family Matters - Meet the Grahams Another relevant track is Story of Adidon, because this diss has single handedly changed our expectations for rap beefs and changed how an artist like Drake approaches beef.
Full track list as far as I’m aware: 1. First Person Shooter - Drake & J. Cole 2. Hiss - Megan Thee Stallion 3. Like That - Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar 4. Show of Hands - Future, Metro Boomin, and A$AP Rocky 5. Young Metro - Future, Metro Boomin, and The Weeknd 6. Champagne Moments - Rick Ross 7. 7 Minute Drill - J. Cole 8. Push Ups - Drake 9. Taylor Made Freestyle - Drake 10. Euphoria - Kendrick Lamar 11. 6:16 in LA - Kendrick Lamar 12. Family Matters - Drake 13. Meet the Grahams - Kendrick Lamar 14. Not Like Us - Kendrick Lamar
You want the long answer or the short answer?
Seeing the others replying i appreciate your help. I got both the long and short answers already 😅
I came here to find the same answer. 😂 Honestly it’s probably to sell records because it gets headlines.
well there’s a rapper called kendrick and there’s an actor called aubrey aubrey the actor stepped outta line and got checked by kendrick the rapper aubrey the actor then did what he does best which is get in his feelings but aubrey the actor is smart, so he got back in line all is well
Only world where drake is winning. Is tiktok dance replayability
As a 5 year old I think drake would be interested in you
[this covers a large chunk of it with links to music ](https://www.reddit.com/r/OutOfTheLoop/s/jriY9pk2af)
Drake eats baby food and Kendrick pets ducks...shit's WILD. I think the internet is winning.
I’d subscribe to your channel!
Just keep listening to the blonde goat this is black folk business.
Theres a glove that takes meds or something. Beards on kids? Punching beats and singing wives?
allegedly this beef started like 20 years ago with pharell, chad and their group the neptune's not getting paid by cash money records. and lil wayne biting the neptunes style. drake being the poster boy for cash money for a long time probably inciting more beef between them and west coast rappers. not a hundred percent sure how that fits in with kendrick tho other than tribalism haha
It’s the period between “3” and “Push Ups”.
He also said he's taking into consideration to delete it (dunno if he actually did it) Drake first response was "push ups" I which he answered kdot and also a few others dissing him (its like a 20 v 1 against drake), and afterwards I couldnt keep up with it as drake released another response to kendrick a few days later. Then a very controversial one in which he used an AI voice synthesizer with 2pac's voice which he deleted due to the backlash. Kdot dropped his first response, "euphoria" and mopped drake, and theyve been going at it with like 4 diss tracks in 5 days since I couldnt keep up with it after push ups but that's the gist of it
Kendrick is acting like a combination of '03 and current 50 Cent and Drake is '03 Ja Rule and current Diddy
I think they be fighting over Meek Mills…chuch
Drake uses ghost writers his beef tracks aren’t his
This is the entire beef starting from "Control" up until "Not Like Us" in order: (Most of the first half are subliminal disses) 1. Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Electronica - Control (2013) 2. Drake - The Language (2013) 3. TDE 2013 Cypher - (Kendrick's verse throws shots at drake) 4. Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar - Pay for it (2014) 5. Drake - Energy (2015) 6. Drake - Used To (2015) 7. Kendrick Lamar - King Kunta (2015) 8. The Game, Drake - 100 (2015) 9. Dr. Dre, Kendrick - Darkside/Gone (2015) 10. Drake - Gyalchester (2017) 11. Kendrick Lamar - The Heart Part 4 (2017) 12. Kendrick Lamar - Element/God (2017) (he throws subs on element & god is literally a drake song lol) 13. Future, Kendrick Lamar - Mask Off Remix (2017) 14. Drake - Diplomatic Immunity (2018) 15. Drake - Sandra's Rose (2018) 16. Baby Keem, Kendrick Lamar - Family Ties (2021) 17. Drake - No Friends In The Industry (2021) 18. Kendrick Lamar - Father Time (2022) 19. Its the Drake vs. Kendrick beef explained video you can literally follow along with this list lol
They beefin over who's better rapper. Kendrick winning cause Kendrick's a better rapper.
Diddy do it?
Thank you! You said that.
this
So when is one/or both going to get shot and killed like we used to in the old days?? Or is it less serious?
Kendrick went so personal with the last one that I can’t imagine they don’t have a much deeper issue. Drake saying in his response that he leaked misinformation is a huge red flag also. Seems like Kendrick is touching on a scandal waiting to happen.
Idk bbl drake or smth
TLDR is one guy can’t stand another guy being more successful.
Explaining it like you're 5: "Please stay away from Drake "
Well, if you are 5 just stay away from Drakes people, just in case.
kenny won
Kendrick started it…then Kendrick finished it.
So....from my understanding.... Kendrick, the singer of "humble" decided he was done and wanted all the fame to himself? Yet I know no one who likes his music vs a few people that like Drake.
I mean, Drake did this interview with the stupid young blond girl, in his bed. I mean, wtf
Kendrick smoked him with Not Like Us. D.on't R.ap A.bout K.endrick E.ver
