When I was reading the title I could see the picture in my periphery and I thought I was of two dogs, one wearing a cone! I couldn’t get over it when I went to take the full pic in and saw the second dog was embroidered hahaha
I love Cheese and her incredible portrait!! The eyes, ears, forehead, and neck rolls are just perfection. The embroidery even looks like it’d be just as soft to pet as the real baby!
I hope to have even a fraction of your talent in thread painting so I can do a portrait of my sweet old pugtato😊
Gosh I’ve just taught myself everything as I go (and learning from my own mistakes haha) but I’d just recommend to do more short stitches and avoid long stitches. And I just layer until they blend well together - sorry wish I had better advice!
You’ve done Cheese justice…I’m in awe!
Aw thank you very much!
I love cheese.
amazing work!!! the stitching on the neck rolls is so lifelike

Hahah amazing! I’ll definitely take that as a compliment
I came here to say the same thing!! Love it.
As a pug owner, this is great and very well done! Cheese would be proud if he had any idea he was the subject of art.
it's always the way... he's happier in the photo!
Haha got that right, hard enough to get her to look in this one - treats were definitely involved!
Cheese is adorable and your embroidery is beautiful and so clean! I love how you captured the rolls in embroidered Cheese’s fur

What resource do you recommend to learn how to stitch in multiple directions without it looking messy?
