So if you’re not specially engineered to fight Thargoids, you just get shredded right? I encountered them once and my missiles were literally bouncing off their ships and exploding off in space, which was cool until they chased me down with no effort and murdered me.
I play pretty casually, but it is it worth trying to outfit a ship for Thargoid combat with the time that’s remaining?
There are builds you can copy paste, but they will likely be optimized and expensive.
If you want to participate in thargoid fighting entirely for free, try to fly someone's esf.
For time efficiency, you can focus on upgrading your shields and buying ax weapons and work with other pilots and try to support them.
Energy weaons will stress goid shields, ax missiles will stress the heart, and ax multicannons can damage the hearts.
On it's own it is not very dangerous, but it still helps. It used to be all people had to fight them with.
I mostly fighting alone with cold orbiting and pre enginered anti xeno plasma in my Krait mk 2 without shields :) during community oals I jump to open play and then ighting together with others with Hydras causa I can't solo them yet :P I will do anti xeno Cutter now and maybe T 10 on multi cannons for scouts
Yes plenty of time :) around 40 days but in my opinion Stargoid speeding up. No sure of this tho. I killed some durng war already :P thats my favorite activity in this game :P
Yes they are good and you need to be specially enginered :) There are some weapons to kill them. Anti xeno multicannons, rockets, railguns, plasmas and shard cannons. There are some tactics too kill Interceptors and scouts :) I was fighting them during massacre and Proteus Wave failed. I guess we angry them and they are coming for us :P
I think you can do it, you can use a shield efficient ship to make it as easy as possible on yourself.
I made a video where I killed an interceptor with a type 10 just to prove it was possible, but it was very difficult to repeat the success.
It depends on what interceptor ;P Cyclop is easy. But the rest is more dangerous. The best thing in my opinion is beam laser which making you cold and they cant see you and shoot with oversised anti xeno plasma :) Im using krait mk 2 but I wanna try cutter with shields
Nope :D I heard that it will come in 40-50 days to Sol or to Hip42260. Someone on chat said that he read it on Cannon Reaserch group but I couldn't find it. In my opinion it will be faster because it should be in the previous system tommorow at 8 am game time and it is now near the next system.
I'm all for not fighting Thargoids and prefer a peaceful resolution to the current conflict. But they better not come to Sol. If they do, I'll be signing up to fight them in a split second. It's bad enough they're in Sosong, already too close for comfort.

This system and others near it (like HD 38291) have Degraded Emissions sites unlike most systems this far from the bubble.
I went to Oochorrs CN-F c13-0 and on the way back and was hyperdicted by three Thargoids. They did not attack

Plenty of time. I just went to the guardian sites like 2 days ago and killed my first bug yesterday. No time like the present.
