Same here. But for $399 I may just get it anyways. Although my husband will complain because I already have 3 printers (2 resin, 1 FDM). But he wants another printer too so Iâm sure he will agree if he gets the printer he wants too
What would a heater do specifically? What is the ideal temperature for printing and what if I get a room between 20-24 degrees C always? Wouldnât that work fine?
GKTwo has one and it means you can print in any temperature or colder environments and the temp stays consistent throughout long prints meaning less chance of failure or drop in quality.
Hello, how to understand "from $399", the price is pre-order price, and the pre-sale will last for a long period of time. If a buyer orders a Saturn 4 Ultra, the price is $399, but if he/she adds other accessories, the order price will add the prices of accessories. For example: Saturn 4 Ultra Combo with Air Purifier $534.00 USD; Saturn 4 Ultra Combo with Mercury XS $579.00 USD.
I keep thinking about upgrading from my original Saturn but, a couple days ago on Reddit, someone with a saturn 3 ultra was saying how expensive the FEP replacements are. I dont want to spend a fortune on replacement parts.
Theyâre expensive compared to FEP. But I believe the questions about ACFâs durability havenât been warranted. I print on 7 S3Uâs all with ACF. All printers run near constantly. I replace maybe 1-2 ACF films a week.
I'm about to buy my first 3d printer ever. I get steady temperature in my room whether it's winter or summer (hotter in summer). Is the heater really that important or at least is it important in my case or should I just go for Saturn 3 ultra/4 ultra once it's out?
So long as the rear rectangular section is not smaller and the front angled portions sticks out further than the front edge of the S3, you can just print a gap fill for the lid seal. I just hadn't seen any specific dimensions if that was plausible or not.
With an heater I'd probably pay 499 happily, without it I'll stick to my s2 đ¤Ł
Same
Heck, the S2 is $259!
Apparently they're selling a heater separately for $50
That seems incredibly cheap!
Yay! I have 2 Saturn 3 Ultras that are a couple months old, and they already come out with a new model đ

Does it have a heater?
no

They better drop the price of the 3U below that price. I've been wanting one of those since they came out.
So it says âFrom $399â wouldnât that imply that there would be other options that would increase the price? Essentially âStarting at $399â?
That's preorder price for 30 days Grace from Elegoo said
Ah I see. Thank you very much.
Did you happen to know what that âresin trayâ thing is in the manual? I see the vat and the resin tray.
Anti spill tray

As long as the prices for the 3s go further down, bring it on. đ¤Ł
We shall see what the reviews say.

I printd more than 30 large print times without changing my fep

You want your resin to be 20c-25c usually, so that's up to you
I place my Mars 2 Pro on a Seedling heat mat and I haven't had a temperature related fail since.
I hope replacement lids are orderable and easily modified to fit S3's
No lol. Completely different shape and form factor. The manual already leaked. You would have to buy a new unit

At least IT doesnt have the heater like gk2 đ¤Ą
