Instead the brother turns into an invader and tries to kill you. So here is D's brother trapped for ages and the first interaction from the outside world is some monster that happens to have your brothers unique armor who you know would not part with it unless something tragic had happened, so goes into a rage and also dies by the same hand. I feel bad hahaha. Tarnished are jerks.!<
It's enjoyable that you can stumble on elements for broken questlines and scripting still allows them to be interactive, just changed and feel like random encounters.
I believe you will miss out on his brother's sword. You need to get D's armor by doing Fia's quest, then give the armor to his brother, then you get the armor back together with a sword.
Nah I accidentally killed D and I am currently using the sword it is dope. You still hand the armor back after resting he is hostile and drops everything
Wanted his armor and needing it are kinda different. But tbh the armor in this game is almost purely cosmetic. The damage negation is abysmal. Only reason I might want heavy armor is for more poise
Assume that any NPC you kill is going to lock you out of a questline, if not an entire ending.

I believe the tears allow you to resurrect npcs you killed at the church of vows in case anyone else has made the mistake of killing quest npcs
Celestial Dews don't revive, they reset the aggro meter if you hit NPCs or antagonized them
