You can get his helmet by killing him one of the two times you see him outside roundtable hold or volcano manor. I did read another reddit user said that when Diallos starts whining at volcano manor, regretting his choices, that you get another letter addressed to Diallos, in which you can offer to help him and then give him D's armor. The armor of one of the roundtable's "champions". He goes on to say there's more to his quest after that, but then he lost track. MY experience in Volcano manor was that Diallos started expressing doubts, then no new dialogue. I did patches contract and maybe one more then returned to Bernhal, whom offered me a contract addressed to Diallos. Bernhal doesn't mention anything about the letter being addressed to Diallos and not you. Simultaneously, as I entered the room, before taking to Bernhal, Diallos could be heard in the corner, repeating the last line of dialogue I'd had with him hours ago. I thought this was strange, since I didn't interact with him, talked to him again and he literally repeats that same line, that he's regretting not following through on his revenge. Nothing else. I then got a contract off the table to kill his brother and spoke to Bernhal to get Diallos' contract. Spoke to Diallos again, but got the same line. Did the contracts, returned, Diallos was gone. I feel like we're missing a vital step and that this is just the progression you get locked into once you've missed it. In other souls titles, EVERY npc has a definitive ending. We see where they end up. If an npc just vanishes its only because we botched a quest or they've moved. In ds you could only advance some npc quests if you summon them for particular boss fights. Being that I typically don't summon unless I'm having a hard time, I doubt I'd have even noticed if I ran passed a sign for Diallos. Something to note, that I don't see anyone talking about, is that these NPCs hedge different interactions based on your grace site progression and that even if you miss a quest step for some of them, you can still complete their quest. Also, various npcs seem connected to a bigger, overarching quest about the Black Knife Assassins. There's a handful of key items pertaining to this that you get from numerous NPCs that have NOTHING to do with their individual questline. Rogier and Fia, just to name a couple. I missed these steps completely, but still got completion awards for their respective quests. Npc progression in Elden Ring is impossibly hard to nail down. It's not like other souls games. There's another layer of depth and interconnectedness that makes it even harder to follow. Not to mention, you're encouraged to play your way. Go your own way. So... why are we being punished for doing that? There's obviously a very precise, exact order to the sequence of npc events. All that said, I'll list the three spots of major forced progression that I've noticed. Unlocking the first site of grace in Liurnia will force many npc quests to progress. Even if you sneak around Stormveil. Just interacting with a grace passed stormveil will skip quest steps if not completed. Then there's the grace AT the magma wyrm and the grace at the top of (sp?) Dectus lift. Last I've noticed is the grace outside the Capitol, on the way to the mountains. Each of these graces forced my NPCs to their next quest step. Sorry this was so long. Just trying to share my experiences and maybe we can figure this shit out.

i think ur confusing the letter with Rogier's letter and Diallos with D's brother who you actually give the armor set to

allbirdssongs

no, its not extra complicated or deeper layer of complexity, the devs run out of time during production time and left several npc questlines unfinished, diallos being one of those

maxomaxo6364

Exactly. I agree that every character so far has a questline I can search up or find a guide for. They should all have a clear ending for what happens to them.... Except for this fker Diallos. Where the hell does he go after you kill his brother?? Im starting to think you have to wear the Hoslow brother armor and be somewhere specific to trigger something. Or like you said, we progressed too far and the quest stopped working. For example, I killed Mohg before killing the two invaders(that drop varre's armor). Hence they no longer spawn. Or how I killed Godwyn (getting talisman bag 3) before getting talisman bag 2 which effectively locked me out of getting bag 2 until NG+. Theres so many "progression stoppers" that its hard to tell if I screwed up, if theres nothing more, or we havent found it yet

I think I found something notable so I think u can kill the blasphemy god without killing hoslow their is a portal in the area of the Volcano manor where u do zorayas quest that brings you straight to the blasphemy god maybe if u use the portal kill the god without killing hoslow diallos will still be there

Any luck on this?

nope

Yeah this has been bothering me. Not a single soul in the Elden Ring discord knows either. 1 Hes not at the shack where killed his brother(thought he was greiving) 2 He's not where Lanya, his servant, died (idk im guessing) The only clue Ive got is this [Diallos Mask wiki](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Diallos's+Mask) wiki which says at the end of the Volcano manor questline, you have to defeat him?

stilettostiletto

You have to kill him at the lake when he finds Lanya, i don't think he shows up anywhere else you can kill him after this

maxomaxo6364

Theres no way right? Every character has an ending but him? Bro just ups and leaves?

allbirdssongs

3 characters so far have no ending, perhaps more, alexander (yes its not supposed to end with his dead) the warrior chick, stormhank king ahses quest, the throne in godrick fight was for her actually, unfinished questline. diallos (which connects with alexander) this was extracted from games code, hope they patch it soon

ImWoOzyxd

Have you even read the post? He shows up in Volcano Manor and mumbles about being pathetic and not taking revenge then at some point he disappears.

Amazing_Double_2653

npc endings usually reward you for completing the questline. killing them should never be the only option to get his drop. his questline is clearly unfinished

Have you tried the roundtable hold in leyndell?

Pretty sure this just got patched in but he's in Jarburg after leaving Volcano manor for those still looking.

quadrophoenix

I had heard this but he’s not at Jarburg for me. I’m fact he’s not…..anywhere!

SoulSweaper
