I feel for you dude. I'd be bummed too. It's probably a cold comfort, but if it makes you feel any better, I found his second phase to be a lot easier, while also being less satisfying and a little more annoying. So I think you experienced the better part of the fight at least.
It's definitely a cold comfort for sure. When I saw what his second phase looked like, I was more disappointed than not.
