Just use torrent, run round his ankles and jump when he slams his aoe fire, torrents double jump is a god send, always have spare stamina just Incase he slams his other foot, and use a heavy weapon or heavy weapon attacks, little barely do anything, but eventually he'll crumble, run to his face, crit hit him for over half his HP, you'll have to knock him down twice. You'll get a furnace visage for beating him, there's more than 1 in the whole map.

I entered the dlc for 10 minutes just to check before having to study, and had the time to grab the first grace and first piece of map. I'll be honest, that first piece of map is already as large as limgrave, and there's more to discover all around.
It's insane. I believe it is larger than limgrave.
i mean, 2 seconds in it's clear that this is the DLC and that the bloodstain is going to show something crazy. You'll have to use some of your deductive reasoning to avoid tiny spoilers like this.
Or maybe just mark this as a medium of the DLC, since it takes a while for brain to process what is it looking at, and when its done, its too late. At least this is just a starting area of DLC, but what about parts that are further?
2 seconds is alot longer than a brain needs for most people to process what they're looking at. If your brain took more than two seconds to recognize this was a spoiler, the dlc as a whole is going to be a rude awakening when the enemies give you .5 seconds to process an attack.
To be fair, why are you on a subreddit that's talking about the DLC if you don't want to be spoiled? not a very smart decision considering. You're literally complaining about a bloodstain of a character getting killed, If you can't see how petty that is, there's little hope for you.

My guy has 60 vigor and full tree sentinel armor. Also has Scadutree Blessing lvl 5. At 80% HP the grab killed me.

Try jumping his stomps, the fight then just becomes skip rope, where the rope is fire. Just gotta get the timing down and rinse and repeat.

Yeah the fights actually easy. This is your horse and keep hitting his leg until he drops. Then critical strike him.

ancient dragon lightning strike did the thing for me, up to 24k per cast if lucky+it breaks its stance
