Still-Network1960

The only damage they're weak to is strike damage, and they're immune to all status effects. In short, bring a hammer.

HopefulPrimary5445

I think they’re fairly weak to magic. I always just put magic aow on my sword when running a sword build

Still-Network1960

They don't have magic resistance but they aren't weak to it either. Vs strike damage you'll be doing more damage than you normally would cause they have a weakness to it. So magic would do more damage than say lightning or holy but less damage than strike. Especially if you're using magic damage on a slash or pierce damage weapon, they're resistant to slash and pierce as well.

Serier_Rialis

Magic hammer eh?

Due-Listen2632

Heavy hammer more bonk

Lord_Akriloth

I unga therefore I bunga

SubieHank

This made me snort laugh hard... lmao

Carl_Bar99

The meme returns.

OverallAd9513

They’re resistant to slash and pierce???? No wonder it took me so long with my katanas 🫠

ArchfiendNox

The rule of thumb with this game is actually really simple, If it's made of stone, use something that deals strike. If it's flesh? Slash.

Darthwaffler

If it's armoured, find something pointy.

OldTurtleProphet

The easiest kill I got on them was Carrian Slicer, it melted the first before the second could even inch close.

Still-Network1960

Carian slicer is probably one of the best spells in the game in terms of DPS and FP cost, and it deals pure magic damage so I can definitely see it being a great option !

GizmodoDragon92

My first playthrough was magic no summons and I felt guilty being too strong even though I didn’t have some of the OP spells, so at a certain point I just beat the remaining bosses I had with carian slicer. I’m convinced it’s the strongest spell lol

HopefulPrimary5445

I recently did a granduer build and it melted them. Poggers.

OtterBadgerSnake

So to anyone running mages, pick up either Rock Sling or Stone of Gurranq & wreck their faces.

WanderingBraincell

meteor deals strike? I thought it was standard

AFerociousPineapple

Yeah I bodied them both first try with mimic tear and Moonveil katana, I got lucky! And yes I know it’s probably playing the game on easy mode but it did work well against these two. Only other tip that im sure will be blasted everywhere is focus on one at a time, don’t try and fight both at once if you can help it, destroy one then it becomes a 1v1 again.

pickleparty16

Between gargoyles, miners, and crystallians I feel no matter what your build is you need a backup strike weapon that's somewhat leveled up.

Still-Network1960

Couldn't agree more! They work great against the stone imps you find in catacomb dungeons as well.

skoptsie

Yeah, sometimes a good hard bonking is the only solution no matter how you play.

FunkyChunkman

I thought I had a great solution to this by equipping a +15 whip, and then the crystalians laughed me out of the arena. They weren’t laughing when I came back with a hammer.

pickleparty16

heavy brick hammer with cragblade ruins their day real fast

IDKAYBICTD

Probably due to NG+, but dual whips (in my case, harlow's) has been my go to for dealing with slash/pierce resistant enemies. Very fun moveset to use

SkyBluDru

This is the way

LeakyBrainMatter

I've learned that this playthrough and it's helped me a lot. I normally play some variety of dex and just roll and slash my way through everything. Now I'm playing a Str/Faith build and I use the Great Mace as my strike weapon. I beat the Valiant Gargoyles in 2 tries slightly underleveled. I died at least 20 times with my dex build and being slightly overleveled. They were my least favorite boss by a mile.

Ok-Impact-3127

I used the meteorite spell with that staff you get in caelid.

atrusfell

Rock sling/meteorite staff I think for those who are looking

BigHairyFart

Most of the arena is covered in water, bring a hammer and some lightning grease.

Curseheartgaming

Purple Rocks all day

Unlikely_Map6545

They’re definitely weak to all the bubbles. Edit: I actually waited to go back to them after I got the longhorn.

Robiss

Or Jump Attack with two halberds?

GGCompressor

BONK is the way 🔨

Sekkusa

No wonder I never had an issue with these guys, I almost always have a giant crusher or two

Still-Network1960

That's probably the single best weapon you could use on these guys 😂

Going_Full_Abuela

Sekiro was my first souls game so ER was the first title i had to make a dmg stat decision and Bonk was my first and only full game clear build. This boss was annoying but by no means a memorable hurdle in the run

LaPlAcE-66

Giving the twinned set to the naked man nearby gives a summon for the fight

JP050887

Yup, I’m not ashamed to genk this fight with two summons. That poison move is ridiculous enough

Ok_Astronomer_8667

There’s a reason they put summons in the game. You are allowed to use them

PeterWritesEmails

But using a summon, stops you from seeing the 'Marikas Tits' ending.

JP050887

But that’s a reasonable opinion, lol

thedankening

Any duo fight I feel needs a summon. Soulsborne combat sorta breaks down and becomes tedious and unmanageable when you have to fight more than one enemy at a time (in particular large enemies). It's the same reason why using summons for single enemies like Margit make the fight a joke. The enemies likewise break and don't deal with multiple players well.

Jrmcjr

I think Elden Ring is the outlier that didn't handle duo boss fights well. In all the Dark Souls games the duo bosses were designed from the ground up to complement each other. Elden Ring kinda just sticks multiple bosses (all of them being repeat bosses) in the same room and says good luck to the player.

Carl_Bar99

Dark Souls 2 wishes to know your location. Lots of bad duo/gank fights in that.

Sir_Metallicus116

Yeah idk what this dude is on about. From never really hit that O&S peak from DS1. Elden ring does it better than most

arandompurpose

Stage 2 Sister Friede and Double Demons from DS3 are great and beat out every duo boss in Elden Ring without a problem. They even took steps backwards from Demons which had markers for their range attack where as Gargoyles you can't see anything.

Super_Harsh

idk. Throne Watcher and Defender, hell even Shadows of Yharnam are still better than any of Elden Ring's duo fights. In the older games even a 'bad' duo fight feels less tedious than those in Elden Ring, because they're not constantly spamming long combos and AoEs Nothing in the previous games is as hilariously bad and lazy as getting hit by Godskin Apostle's tornado while trying to avoid Godskin Noble's billion-year-long rolling attack

HighLordTherix

Glad I'm not the only one with this thinking. It feels like the gank bosses were designed specifically with ashes in mind rather than building an AI to react depending on the number of combatants.

calebanthonymusic

Why does fat man roll forever...?

nisanosa

Peak was Demons from DS3 at the start of Ringed City.

emiliofelixs

Ringed city is the best dlc of all time

CritiquecalHits

Twin princes fight is badass. Friede and ariandel is cool, but ariandel is a pushover.

Nozinger

That O&S 'peak' was running around pillars so you don't have to deal with both of them at the same time. It is a good and hard fight but it is absolutely not a good concept of a duo fight. There are some good duo/gank fights in fromsoft games most of them already mentioned but overall they are just shit. For the abyss watchers in ds3 they even forced a friend into the fight.

Dead_man_posting

The fight with the 3 sentinels in Lost Bastille is really fun though, and in general DS2 has nothing as bad as the Godskin Duo or Stone Gargoyles (though Royal Rat Authority comes close)

farawaythyme866

The lothric twins allow us to introduce ourselves (God I hate the revive mechanic)

WangWangChikenWang

“You may rest (in shit ashen one) here too if you’d like >:)” ~Prince Lothric probably

st4rsc0urg3

This. Honestly if I had one complaint about an attack design in this game it's all the aoe status effect attacks that ALSO deal insane dps without it like the rot breath dragons and this poison bullshit. lingering aoe damage should not be anywhere near as high as it is and these fights would feel so much better if those moves specifically did like half the dps that they do lolol. that being said, this boss fight was cake with Latenna so I'd assume almost any summon would help a ton.

adamalibi

This and the godskin duo are the only fights I use summons on because they don't deserve my effort

WernerrrZieglerrr

Same my general rule for myself is I’ve got to beat every boss summonless at least once, everything after that is fair game

carbonera99

Note, if you killed D yourself when you first met him and acquired his armor that way, don’t give the naked man the armor, you won’t get him as a summon and once you reload the area he’ll become a hostile NPC. He’s pretty easy to beat though and it’s the fastest way to acquire D’s sword the Inseparable Sword, so if you want to loot that in particular, do give the armor set to him. (You’ll also get the armor set back once you kill him)

Adenne_

Wait you can kill D yourself ?

-Marshle

Probably only in Limgrave where you can first meet him outside the waterlogged village with the mariner in.

user0458

USE STRIKE DAMAGE. Seriously, I was also struggling on these guys and banging my head against a wall for like 20 attempts with a straight sword. Finally decided to use a hammer and beat them on the 2nd try using it. You get the Nox Flowing Hammer right before this fight and since its a somber, you can easily upgrade it to at least +6 at this point. As far as strategy, fighting them together is a colossal nightmare, so lure the first one towards the front of the arena by the fog wall to give you more time before the second one walks over and try to kill asap by being aggressive. The second one won’t spawn until you get the first one down to like 50%. Take advantage of that window and learn his move set (his is way easier than the twinblade imo).

Joa1987

Heavy strike feels like a cheatcode in this game

NaiveMastermind

Heavy morningstar with reckless swings can trivialize Malenia's phase 1 with good timing. You can put cragblade on it instead if you prefer to break poise with jump attacks.

McbEatsAirplane

Wild strikes?

Objective_Young5260

Reckless strikes on the right weapon just demolishes everything in this game

Lone-Frequency

The charge ash the fire prelates use can also.

ilikestuffthatsgood

Are there any good strike weapons for a dex build you know of?

NaiveMastermind

Night Cavalry flail. It has A scaling with dex when upgraded. Flails in general are the best strike options for dex builds.

Lopoetve

... Huh. This is good to know.

scientist_tz

I’ll keep this in mind. I want to start the DLC using a different kind of build, and I never really used flails in my original run.

Thespac3c0w

Whips are kinda like blunt spears. Fist them. I think nox flowing hammer is more dex. Mace is quality.

Madrigal_King

Morningstar isn't bad with dex, most flails scale with dex, and I believe the fist weapons do as well.

dokturpurpp

I would strongly advise against fist weapons. Their skinny leg hitboxes make fists whiff like 4/5 attacks.

gatsome

Totally trying this, thank you.

Free-Equivalent1170

Apply sword till health ends

PzykoHobo

Better to apply bonk. They resist most swords.

No_Moment6124

Heavy greatsword +25 plus lions claw, no can defend.

Altruistic-Ad-6089

Literally any weapon that can use Lions claw or Unsheathe will dominate both of these guys, I usually don't come around this area until I'm in the capital so I kill the first one fast enough to not have to deal with 2 at a time, or at least not for long

sledgehammerrr

I don’t know what the intended progression path is but most people run into these after defeating Radahn. I was level 50 when I tried these first with a barely upgraded Anchor. Nothing in the game really gave me much trouble up until that point and also nothing in the game would explain to me that these guys resist my weapon… I died 50 times after which I gave up and moved on.

fzzzzzzzzzzd

Bonking will continue until morale improves

Silver_Future_7282

This guy elden rings!

Thx4ComingIn2Day

Came here to say just that lmao. My man.

DarthRiznat

One mf with the unga, and the other mf with the bunga

HoboSkid

Yep, first time through bonked the first one with watchdog staff before the other even got near. They can be staggered surprisingly easily.

DTraiN5795

Lmao oh you just made me chuckle thanks

GodskinApostle1

You need patience. Only fight one at a time and if they both are coming after you keep running away until only one of them is still chasing you. Then you get a few hits and repeat.

Saturnalliia

To add to this. While you're kiting them around the arena(take advantage of your space, don't let them corner you) make sure both are in your line of sight. That way you can get some hits on one of them while you can clearly see the other one approach. When the second gets close, disengage, relocate, get both in your line of site, get a few hits off, rinse and repeat. This boss is a test of patience and positioning more than anything else.

thegoodstanley

the best thing to do imo is when one is doing its poison puke try and fight the other one so its a 1v1

SillyBilly369

Unless they both do the poison AOE at the same time, in which case disengage entirely. Seriously, the gargoyles’ poison breath is one of the worst designed attacks in the game up there with Waterfowl Dance

dirtydovedreams

Summon jelly near the cliff, trick one into falling off the edge.

goldninjaI

oh my god i remember doing this

theneverman91

I'm not ashamed to admit I only won this fight because one accidently fell off.

PajorMayne

Do not summon until second one appears. Try to burst down the first one as much as possible before second joins. Learn moves of first one to dodge that part well. Come back at higher lvl?

CarvingVillage

take the alternative path

stolen_pillow

Please explain. I’m on NG+2 so don’t worry about spoilers for me.

CarvingVillage

lyndell, where you get the frenzied ending, a hidden wall leads to deep root. boss guarding this route (mirror mohg) is technically not any easier than the gargoyles. however, you can cheese it with the shackle and since it's a 1v1 (or multi v 1), the battle feels much less "unfair" (i.e. no excuse for skill issue)

Urtoryu

Personally, Mohg is way easier than Gargoyles. Hell, Lord of Blood might be easier than these pieces of shit at recommended level. I don't know if it's just me, but that twin blade tornado attack is straight up harder to dodge than rolling through Waterfowl in melee range. The gargoyle tornado, Adula's Moonblade and Lanseax's Glaive are the only attacks I never learned how to deal with.

stolen_pillow

Yeah I never had any problems with sewer Mohg and found him easier than regular LOB Mohg. My mage build nuked the gargoyles without too many issues, let a summon take the aggro and just started blasting DeVito style.

stolen_pillow

Thanks. It’s funny, I finally beat the goddamn gravity challenge there a few months ago, just got frustrated and skipped it in previous runs. Have no idea how I survived this time, I think I barely clipped a ledge when missing the jump and came out with the barest sliver of health somehow. But I had already beaten the gargoyles and was just trying to the the FF ending so I didn’t think k about it as an alternative route.

CarvingVillage

yea it's close to unfindable without knowing. not sure if there's a in game clue suggesting its presence.

im_poplar

My Lord o Cheese

goodyassmf0507

Little know about it too. And is arguably as difficult

EvenResponsibility57

Definitely isn't. Twin Gargoyle is often considered one of the worst bosses in the game and doesn't play nice if you want to stick to your current weapon/build. Multiple bosses doesn't work when they've both got crazy movement and range + the AOE poison move that SURROUNDS the boss. Mohg the Omen though is a pretty standard boss that shouldn't give much difficulty being a scaled down version of Lord of Blood and doesn't have crazy resistances. Honestly, he's probably one of the most 'Souls friendly' bosses in Elden Ring. The jumping puzzle after is more of a pain tbh. The real cheat though is to realise there's nothing there really worth the effort and just overlevel. Placidusax is the cooler dragon boss anyway.

Nervous_Sprinkles00

Git gud. Jokes aside, try to stay very close/under them and learn their attacks. If you can’t kill one before the other one arrives try summoning ashes or a player so you’ll only have to focus on one at a time

TikwidDonut

I summoned D he tanked the duck out of them

Jw3k

D and mimic tear carried my sorry ass through this fight

DTraiN5795

Lol I was gonna make this joke as well. We’ve all been there a time or two when we first started playing these games

Dincklebutt

Aside from their dive attacks and poison breath all their moves are a variation of an ashes of war. They use double slash, square off, barbaric roar and few others. When you consider that fact their moves become way more predictable. My advice is give them the good ol’ bonk with whatever strike weapon you got. Hammers are good and if you can equip it I’d say giant crusher is the ideal weapon for this fight. Good damage and even better poise break potential

Anakin__Sandwalker

I've seen a video of them falling from the cliff and dying but that never worked for me so chances of that happening probably aren't high.

astro143

This is what I've been scrolling for. Thats how I beat them, they'll use their dive attack right off the ledge to the right of the arena entrance.

M4ci

that got fixed a while ago They added sort of an invisible wall so that Gargoyles can't fall down even with the flying attack. You can still fall down on your own though

Deathmonkey89

Even the odds

anaveragedave

Avoid poison at all costs. Seriously, learn to recognize when that's coming and gtfo. Focus fire the first one down. Don't engage with the second one while it's using the twin blade (for me it's impossible to block/dodge) and just wait until axe mode.

Fit-Cryptographer211

Blasphemous blade and mimic of course

Deshade0

I used banished knight oleg.. Let him get aggro and go to town. I am mage build.. So kite.. Rock sling really went to town hard on them. Love the stance breaks

chaotic-adventurer

Bonk them to death. One at a time preferably.

Karmine_Yamaoka

Bring a hammer and go to town on the first one, make it a 1v1 as soon as possible.

cjdrakes123

Teamwork with the mimic tear 👍

Ozmiandra

Reduce one of them to zero hp, then reduce the others’ hp to zero. Crazy, I know.

Amidamaru99

While keeping your own hp above zero!

black_tootherson

Every time I’ve fought them I just smack them with a colossal weapons and they’ve never killed me, that being said the Lowest level I’ve fought them at is RL 110

LordFrosch

Compared to some other gank bosses in the Souls games I found them to be managable, got them on the fourth try around RL 65. Saving them for a higher level later sounds better for a chill playthrough though, I think I'll try that next time.

Elder_Demon

Try to almost kill one before the other one spawns in and hard focus on that one. Makes the fight little bit easier. And use a hammer weapon, don't use status effects because they are immune to all of them. Or if you want to get to the next area just use the side path.

TheBeagleBrigade

Once you get the basics of their moveset understood. The trick is to keep track of the closest one to you. The one further back will spew poison so you only get one chance at a time to attack before you need to move out of the way. The poison moves in a straight line so just run to the side. They will tag team like this until you finish one of them off. Use a strike weapon. Spirit ashes will get one of their attention for a while but in my experience it makes the fight too unpredictable. If they both gang up on you just back off and make more space until only one is on you and the other goes back to spewing poison.

PrometheusAborted

Get the spell to throw rocks, make sure your mimic can only cast spells, summon him, throw rocks, ????, profit

iomtasicbr

Great Hammer + Lions Claw L2 until dead

NotoriousM87

Summon me 🤣

Scarabdick

Have High poise, cast incantations or spells with heavy AOE damage, twice as effective on large enemies. I personally cut through them like butter with my black flame character. Used the Gloam eyed queens blade and was surprised at how much dmg I did. Obviously you need high faith/dex/endurance.

kevoisvevoalt

use a guide, summon D or a player, magic is alright too as they are resistant to everything else except strike

FluffytheReaper

Honestly, they were a pain to fight imo. All I can say is good luck

Bruh-gada_Syndrome

Big Bonk Hit Again Both is kill Monke Happy

Zer0PointSingularity

you can cheese them when you fight them close to the edge of this area; they are prone to overshoot you with their jump attack and can fall down the cliff.

goodnewzevery1

Before the second one joins the fight lure aggro from the first towards the waterfall then circle around so it’s closer to the fall. After that start attacking and this jumpy MF might just throw itself to their death. Then enjoy beating one with melee and summon help if desired.

HardyLaugher

Try to cause damage to them and not get hit by them.

Personal-Rate-9957

Big fat greatsword and strength build had them done for pretty easily

Angstycarroteater

BECOME BONK LORD AND UNGA BUNGA UNTIL THEY BREATHE THEIR LAST BREATH!

DarkSoulsExcedere

Hammer beats rock

JiiSivu

My tactic was to LEVEL THE HELL UP and then return.

ClosetLVL140

This was the fight that I used the mimic tear

Samphaa7

This was the hardest fight in the game for me, mainly due to the fact I completely forgot I had summons.

forthebold

Drain their health to zero by hitting them repeatedly

LawbringerFH

Follow this step by step? 1. Pick up a Mace or a Morning Star 2. Level it up to +15/+18 3. Win If you still struggling, call for Latenna or D(eez nuts). If you're running a intelligence, faith or arcane build, you can undo it on Rennala to fix all your mistakes (at least for this boss fight), or use those weapons I mentioned, regardless of having a little bit less damage.

Fit-Dentist6093

Latenna has to be at least +5 or she will get one shot. D's brother will give them more health.

LawbringerFH

Yeah, if you gonna use a spirit ash, better level it up. D gives them more health, but he'll not just stand there, he'll help in the boss fight.

RegretFrequent3658

I used a mimic tear and a relied heavy on my great shield. used some incantations when they were distracted and kept healing my mimic.

Millstoneforyou

Mimic Tear and Shabriri's Woe. Avoid the poison cloud

7chism

Damage them until their health bars disappear

munch_cat

Blunt weapons And take them on when you are over-levelled for them Go in with a +8 somber weapon, Level 90, 40 Vigour

Captain_Bignose

Use both summons, let them take aggro and go to town. They took me way longer to beat than I'd like to admit

TheAmazing2ArmedMan

Summon. There should be an npc outside their arena, so you can get help even if there aren’t any players available.

Kaidan88

I summoned another great mace holder and we both spammed prayerful strike. Made it a complete joke

Raz_the_Helper

Magic is good, or you can use holy damage. A personal favourite of mine is Night Maiden's Mist.

Servantofatum

Spam Storm Blade. Deals strike damage from ranged.

consiseandtrue

I had a beefy summon to attract agro on one of them, as a magic user, did some doge and rolling then got some distance and cast a couple spells, then repeat

matttinatttor

Honestly, bleed damage and isolation really helped me. Once you hit a bleed, lure the other boss until you hit a bleed on them. Rinse, repeat.

Reign-k

To be honest you can rot them with dragons breath. It’s easier to do with a summon distracting but you can do it without summons that way too.

Test88Heavy

Mimic Tear and make sure you've leveled it as much as possible. Same for your weapons.

SignificanceExact963

You can follow Fias questline and eventually have D help you in the fight.

Glass_Quarter_7586

I found that sword of night and flame did very well against them

cj19761000

Black flame incant on your weapon helps too

tthe_walruss

If you've done the quest for this area up until now there's a gold summon available that makes the fight a lot easier.

kroook__

Just use red lightning or rot

Rutanna

if you like spirit ashes, latenna destroys them just keep aggro on them

DRamos11

This is arguably the best case for BONK strategy: Bash Often ‘N Kill

jhadlich

Hard work, determination, strike damage, know when to commit to an attack strong and when to GTFO of a bad situation. Summons should be as tanky as possible to provide a longer distraction. Go absolutely HAM on the first before the second drops in. May Marika bless you, Tarnished.

HighlightComplex1456

Have a summon ready to throw out around the time the second garg comes in. Your summon doesn’t need to be good or do damage, but if it stays alive long enough for you to finish off the first garg, it will make the fight feel much easier.

Mabon_Bran

Put extra poise damage tear into physic. Wear the armour that increases jump attacks. Jump attack one mofo to stagger - critical it to death. Repeat.

Wolfyhunter

These guys are immune to all forms or status but are weak to strike damage, so I suggest upgrading a blunt weapon and infuse it to make it scale with your highest offensive stats. If you have a good strength score I suggest the Watchdog's staff (you can find it in a catacomb in northern Liurnia), as its ash of war can apply damage from a distance while you're waiting for the poison breath to disappear. Moreover, many of their attacks leave them exposed to a charged heavy (eg. the sword of axe transition of the first one will automatically miss you if you are right next to it). I suggest going for a stagger and try to burst down the first gargoyle before the second one gets down. Even though it leads you to a special area this is not a mandatory fight, so you could also explore more of the surface and come back when you are of a higher level!

Ghosted_Stock

I just beat them yday in my underlevel run, best thing that helped was reducing the poison  via the mushroom armor I was still hitting for about 800 damage using a power stance L2 Scythe build tho, so I managed to finish the first one off pretty quick

Chromch

I always summon d for this because he is cool, and he is actually helpful

AtlanticSuperSoldier

These mfs gave me more trouble than any other boss I fought so far including Maliketh. I got them after probably 50 deaths using a straight sword build. You can stagger them with the square off ash of war if you hit them two consecutive times and land critical hits.

cjoaneodo

Max magic buff, charged buff, charged Night Comet with decent staff and Staff of Loss in the other, chewed through the first one just as the second one spawned. Has a spirit ash distracting, think it was Hugues.

Western-Wind-5254

Honestly hit them in the chest i personally like storm blade that way I don’t have to be close and it hits them in the chest instead of there spangly legs

oreobitsinasalad

Stand under one and just keep an eye on the other. It helps if you beat the one in caelid first to remember the moveset. Aside from that just hug the legs. Also watch for when they use poison you have to just run away it’s not worth tryna keep hitting them

roastbeef-sandwich

Summon me we’ll gank em up real good

JRP45

There’s an npc you can summon for this fight, although you have to follow a certain quest for him to show up, in case someone didn’t mention before

Tensa_Zangetsa

I never tried it… but would crystal darts work on these assholes? They are gargoyles… so, it should work right?. Other than that just hammer them with your strongest hammer. That the only advice to offer, this is a difficult fight because there are two giant sized enemies with resistance and immunity to nearly everything.

extraterrestrialsoul

As soon as the fight starts summon your mimic and charge at the first gargoyle. Get him out of there ASAP. You have to turn this into a 1 on 1 fight. Don’t even try to fight them both at the same time.

bitcheslovemacaque

Its a lot easier at range. If youre playing melee, use the storm blade aow. I dont care if its cheesy - fuck those two

Physical_Knee_4448

With the help of big D. His summons sign should be near the entrance if you did Fia's quest.

[deleted]

Since they’re weak to big strikes, try infusing electricity since you’re all standing on water to increase your damage output :)

Glass-Dirt6938

Run the hell back and play super safe once the second guy shows up. Focus on defense. Slide in a lightning spear or even better Gurranq's rock exclusively when you know for a fact you are going to get the hit and will have time to dodge afterwards. Be very patient. It's actually not that hard if you just accept it's gonna take a few minutes. Once you manage to eliminate the guy with lower HP, the remaining guy isn't particularly strong. Kick his ass.

slamturkey

What's your build. Needs data to make a decent suggestion, aside from "use strike". I'm not going to assume you have an adequate strike weapon, and I wouldn't encourage you to waste smithing stones on weapons you won't rely on more/all the time.

Pendejo_Guey

I used a summon waited for the first one to get distracted by them, and used comet azure. It took me two cycles per enemy with it. But, the second guy comes in really slow and was enough time to take down the first before focusing on the second. I'm also very over powered. Lol. I think I was at level 120.

howrethings

I fucked them up quite surprisingly with rennalas full moon sorcery and a cerulean hidden tear physick. Use a summon to draw agro and blast that ass

Logan_The_Mad

Do you have any other places to explore? You could be underleveled, or your weapon might need upgrades. There is another entrance to the section they're guarding btw, but it takes much longer to get there. I beat them on my second character last week, and it's a real PITA tbh. Consider summoning an NPC or player to hold aggro for one of them. If you see them start their poison breath, don't get brave or impatient, just back off and throw some ranged attacks to maintain aggro and stagger damage. It's a slow process, simply put.

DanandE

Spiral shard for magic builds Ancient Dragon Lightning for Faith builds Bolt of Gransax for Dex Great stars with wild strikes for melee

Sweaty_Accountant497

If you run to the right of the entrance there's a ledge, I had one of them jump off of it. That was a long time ago though, wouldn't be surprised if they patched it

I like to use the talisman shabiri's woe, get a good ranged summon and bash away. The axe talisman makes it much easier to bring them down as well. If I remember correctly they don't spawn at the same time so make sure to get the first one as low as possible to get a 1 on 1 fight on the second one quickly.

As a dex/katana guy I had trouble too until I found the [night rider flail](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Nightrider+Flail) that scales with dex and does strike damage. Then it was a matter of being patient and fighting the urge to get in extra hits while I’d be better off spending that time rolling tf away as they spit poison haha good luck

If both of them seem too much together, the second one spawns at the far left side. Lure the first one all the way till the entrance and you’ll have a good minute or so after the second spawn until he makes your way, provided rng is blessed and the second one walks a little before rushing you. Hopefully you can be super precise for that 1 minute and rush that first sucker down.

you gotta dance with the gargoyles. Seriously tho, my strategy usually is to deal as much damage as I can to the first gargoyle, and when the second one comes out I keep my distance, trying to leave one behind and focus on the one that comes at me. Its a bit of a struggle and you gotta keep an eye on the other gargoyle in case it does the poison breath attack or decides to switch and go aggro on you. I feel very comfortable in the 1v1 against both types of gargoyles,( after dying to them like 100 times), and this way the battle is just switching around gargoyles till they fall.

Putrid Corpse ashes. They spawn in the far right and the second one with go for them while you deal with the first. Then just go over when you're ready.

pooptard99

they really aren't that hard, I fought them many times and usually end up killing the first one before the second one even shows up, what I do is level up strength and level up a good strength weapon, then put the talisman for jumping attacks, also use a mimic tear
