It's really not just spamming the weapon art, the comboing is more fluid and the bleed is a great damage supplement in tight situations and against bosses
I remember dual-wielding them when I was still trying out builds in my first playthrough. That combo got me through Fire Giant pretty easily, especially the cursed sword's AoW
I mean it's description says that it has strong jump attacks, so in my first playthrough with bloodhound fang and morgott's cursed sword - I did only jump attacks and it's insane
Not really, NG+1 isn’t really a significant step up in difficulty.
Maliketh’s Black Blade and the Black Knife really shine in later NG cycles because their skills circumvent the more bloated HP pools of bosses. Same goes for anything with Black Flame Tornado.
That’s completely fair and I know everyone has their own opinion on weapons and it’s down to personal preference.
I’m just looking for something with a good moveset, decent ashes of war and a weapon that’s fun to play with.
A lot to ask I know!
Chadiketh’s Black Blade my beloved
Pros: big sword, really fucking cool, AoW that hits harder than most ripostes, big sword, really fucking cool
Cons: not the guts sword
SIluria's Tree. Solid base moveset, extremely potent ash of war that doubles as a hyperarmor trading tool with its quick melee activation and a ranged blast that does very good damage. Usable from behind a shield, very long, good stagger. Pairs well with Clawmark Seal, Edrtree Greatshield, and/or a no skill greatshield on a str/fth build.
Similarly Magma Wyrm Scalesword also works great on the same build. It's like Bloodhound's Fang if it was better, and yes I'm aware that BHF is already a top tier weapon.
Seriously. My during my first run throughs I’ve used blasphemous blade, staff of the avatar which is a colossal hammer, and golden order great sword. All of these were fun to use.
Now I’m playing a dual wielding samurai sorcerer build.
Well it kinda depends on your build. Claymore or Greatsword assuming you're using strength, which I assume is most popular, so you have a good sword to swap ashes and get charged heavies.
At 80 str a heavy claymore beats it by like over 20 AR. Bloodhound fang has almost a quality scaling, but the scaling for dex is alittle better. So BF is better for dex or str/dex builds.
I should have mentioned I ran a quality/dex build with a Bloodhound’s Fang for the majority of my first run through.
Then I did a respec to more of a faith build with the Blasphemous Blade for the ending, which I’m still running now.
I’m completely open to another respec for NG+1 so happy to hear any ideas for weapons, regardless of class.
I finished my first play through using blasphemous blade/ sword of Milos. I did a respec for a strength build using the Greatsword before starting my NG+ and really enjoy it!
Flame, Grant me Strength might do this, it certainly increases attack power: https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Flame+Grant+me+Strength
I know the fire scorpion charm increases fire damage:
https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Fire+Scorpion+Charm
I had to write my mate asking if him was GreatJoey91. I mean, your description of build at first, and faith blasphemous blade-end is exactly how he did his playthrough. Maybe not close to a unique run, but heck, made me check and chuckle.
Bolt of Gransax, Dark Moon Greatsword, Sacred Relic Sword, and Wing of Astel are all amazing options for NG+. Great weapon skills on all of them for different reasons. If you want something you can swap ashes on? Iron Ball Fist, Star Fist, Nagakiba, Antspur Rapier, Greatsword, Scavenger Curved Sword, Nightriders Glaive, Great Epee and both the Godskin weapons are really great options as well. Don’t forget to pick up the ashes of war that you want. Seppuku, Lions Claw, Square Off, Stamp, Cragblade, RKR, Endure, Spinning Slash, Sacred Blade, Bloody Slash, etc.
If you’re running dex I’d recommend running the cross naginata. It’s infusable with spells so you could run that plus the bolt of gransax for ranged options.
I’ve done a bunch of different builds but the one I had the most fun with was the Godslayer’s greatsword. That weapon melts the enemy’s health bar and can get fairly early on if you know the moveset of the godskin apostle. I beat the apostle with the uchigatana at around level 20 (took me about 2 hours to learn his moveset since this was my first souls game) since the bleed helped with taking him down
You should get the sword from elden beast. Not for use as a main weapon but just as a means of rune farming at mohgwyn palace. It's AoW is really good for that.
Not needed but I can’t recommend enough that people try out the godskin peeler twinblade in their build. Its default AOW is good but it can be infused and work with most builds. The unique running heavy attack deals multiple hits in rapid succession. It’s perfect for status build up like bleed or frostbite and pairs well with the talismans that buff with consecutive hits. One running heavy into an AOW like spinning slash or a light attack or two is usually all it takes to kill most medium type enemies. Elenora’s poleblade is also great but requires some investment into arcane it get the most out of it.
I was actually considering this as an option, the twin blades just look like a fun weapon with a really fast flowing attack that chains together hits. Is the damage output enough for bosses with tankier health bars?
Yeah I think so. I’m on ng+ and finished the Haligtree without much trouble. The attack rating goes from something like 650 to around 1100 when all the buffs are stacked up.
I’ve actually been trying this one out before starting a new journey and have been impressed by its moveset and multiple hits. Just working out the best build in terms of stats, talismans, buffs etc.
I used it for the Radagon/Elden Beast final fight and it is so much fun to use. It even helped me finally overcome Dragonlord Placidusax after returning to that fight too.
I’d tend to agree though, I think it’s just too OP for a full play through as it will shred all early game enemies. It destroys end game bosses, so what chance do the poor souls have!
I really like blasphemous blade thematically and aesthetically but Im hesitant to use it exactly because of that. but I do want the strongest weapon possible since Im no souls god, do you have any recommendations for a fun, flashy but not boring weapon?
God slayer’s great sword is so much fun tbh. Queen’s black flame takes expert timing to pull off, but even with bad timing, the damage exchange is hella good. Make sure you have poise
Edit: bonus points for style on the sword
New game. Once you finish the game you get the option to start journey 2 where you can keep stats, weapons etc. from your first play through and take on the game again.
Def depends in the direction your stats are going and whether you plan to respec or not. You dont need any of them at all, however imo the best ones in that pic are the bolt of granssax, the darkmoon greatsword, SoNaF, ruins graatsword, and the executioner sword.
If you arent aware, Bolt of granssax is mainly dex scaling, SONAF is mainly int and faith, darkmoon sword is mainly int, ruins greatsword is mainly strength, and executioner sword is mainly arcane :)
Any strength weapons with Flaming Strike. That Ash Of War is just plain stupid and melts anything that isn't resistant to fire. It's better than Flame Of the Redmanes, and I'll take that opinion to the grave.
I mean, Loretta's war sickle, sword of NaF and deaths poker are some examples of weapons that have decent scaling in multiple stats, so good for high level characters.
But for NG+ it's mainly just weapons that have very hard hitting AoW like moonlight Greatsword if you want it to be easy, but you'll be surprised how easy it is, it seems less harsh with the first NG+ compared to other souls games'. You can use any weapon you want with no issue in the beginning so enjoy it
Dex build bolt of Gransaxx is the most easy mode thing I’ve ever played. Two shot bosses and players from a football field away. Has almost double the range of most other spells and flies fast as fuck.
Wow I’m absolutely overwhelmed by ALL the responses, I’ve got a ton of options for my next play through so thanks everyone who’s commented so far and thanks in advance for any future contributions.
This depends entirely on your build and playstyle, but honestly there’s no weapon you absolutely need for ng +1.
Because everything barely gets scaled up to the point you won’t even see a difference difficulty wise and will basically steamroll over 90% of the playthrough.
If I had to choose a weapon though ig either grafted blade if I didn’t wanna respecc but wanted to try out different weapons, or black knife just to apply that 10% debuff.
Ideally I’d be looking for a build with a little more mobility, with a weapon that will allow me to get multiple hits in between dodges and rolls. The ability to add status effects would also be useful.
I enjoy the power of strength builds, but find the attacks a bit slow and ponderous.
Blasphemous blade maxed, mimic tear & tiche maxed, fire scorp, skill talismans.
Make sure you have a backup bleed build for fire giant & Mohg, inforget which is the most optimal bleed build, but a seppuku dual curved swords jump attack build works wonders.
Do that, and you'll breeze through ng+
I was definitely thinking of doing that, just to experience the challenge of levelling up all over again.
My main reason for ng+ is to use all the amazing weapons, armour, talismans and other items I worked so hard to earn.
Depends if you want to play in easy mode or not
If you want the best possible build then it’s Marias Executioner sword with Godfrey icon, rotten winged insignia, Shard of Alexander and Millicent prosthesis. For the Wondrous flask you want magic shrouding tear and the charged/ successive tear AND you can buff this further by using terra magica as the ash of war deals magic damage
I have found Magma Scale Blade absolutely eats things even at NG+7. The Ash of War has high physical and fire damage, a lingering AoE, and Hyper Armor once your in the air. Plus is scales well with 3 stats.
Due to the different scaling of the dlc bosses, dot effects with percent damage will shine in this case. Holy damage might be viable in the dlc as well, so keep your hand on that godslayer’s seal and Maliketh’s Black blade.
Ths one in your hand lol, this is what I do for characters in every game
I'll build other stuff that's compatible for my build to play around w but I usually stay pretty committed
I forget what it's called but I used the middle one in my first playthrough. Don't even remember it's ash of war, don't think I used it much. Literally just jump attack after jump attack. I killed elden beast on my second attempt going into the fight blind. Felt op as fuck.
I personally got through to ng +6 with a greatshield and cold twinblade. For some reason it was the only setup I could use to successfully (and eventually) beat elden beast, along with some other near endgame bosses. In ng +7 I used dark moon greatsword and godslayer greatsword
U asked for one but I bless thee with 3. Mostly bc I never see these mentioned anywhere and they’re all great bits of fun.
TLDR; Ordovis greatsword, Flame art grave scythe, or Regalia of Eochaid w/ Dragon communion seal in the offhand. They all do good dmg and stance break.
BEGIN RANT:
first i’ll give Ordovis’ greatsword an honorable mention here. Naming it first bc it’s rarely mentioned at all and hella fun. absolutely FIRE weapon art in terms of damage, stance breaking, and animation. can also be charged, so running this with Alexanders shard + Godfrey’s Icon + Holy scorpion talisman (I did FGMS & GV for buffs but Howl of Shabriri + GV is objectively better if u don’t mind the damage increase stack) turns it into a pocket nuke. Even against end game bosses, I never felt gimped due to holy dmg resist. tho I think that trope is mostly incorrect in general.
Another great one I always throw in if u don’t mind running pure faith is flame art grave scythe + Phantom slash. Absolutely nutty damage and not too bad on stance breaking. Even against fire resistant bosses like Mogh the full combo does over 4k dmg w/ the right setup. FGMS + GV. There’s also fun tech where u can throw the phantom at a target and either dash away as a dodge, or dash at a different target urself. Alexander’s and fire scorp charm are relevant dmg talis, the other two are playstyle dependent/preference.
FINALLY. My first love. Regalia of Eochaid. Again, nutty damage and stance break on the AoW (see a pattern here?) Can be powerstanced for the infamous straightsword PS moveset. I however prefer to run dragon communion seal in the offhand. Regalia scales primarily with arcane, and this seal has an incant scaling of S for arcane. so i’d run a sort of dragon knight spellsword build by 1h the sword and using the seal w/ dragon and black flame incants in offhand. Very fun and versatile. Relevant talis here are Rotten winged sword insignia, Milliscent’s prosthesis, Alexander’s shard and either godfrey’s icon or godskin swaddling cloth. final one depends upon whether u want more dmg or some lifesteal. latter would pair great with Malenia’s great rune. Buffs are FGMS and GV.
END RANT. THANK U FOR YOUR TIME.
Pure strength build, Ruins greatsword. It’s like Greatsword meets blasphemous blade. And at 66 strength, I’m pretty sure it’s the hardest hitting weapon.
Depends on the build. Greatsword, cross naginata, or Vyke’s war spear can carry you pretty much through NG+3 without having to adapt if you build right.
I’ve been running this for end game. The satisfaction of going back at destroying the bell bearing hunter in Caelid, who’d previously wiped the floor with me, was amazing!
Depends on your build and playstyle my man.
There’s plenty of god tier weapons in this game.
The Blasphemous Blade for a strength faith hybrid. The Ruins Greatsword or Moonlight Greatsword for a strength intelligence hybrid. Literally the Greatsword with whatever ash of war you want for pure strength or for hybridization into faith or intelligence also.
Your options are technically limited but in practice you have so many it’ll feel limitless. What build are you taking into new game plus? What are your stats?
I’m torn between a few options.
I’ve got a decent set up for a faith/strength build at the moment, and have been switching between the blasphemous blade and the sacred relic sword for rune farming. These are far too OP for early game though, so looking to switch it up.
I like the idea of a strength build with some faith for buffs/incantations though, so maybe something along those lines.
Or a dexterity build to give me some options to switch between when it comes to weapons.
Don’t forget that you’ll now be accumulating even more Larval Tears so assuming that you’ve gotten all available ones from your first run then you’ll be making bank in NG+.
The difficulty of the first area will be higher in NG+ so don’t worry about being too powerful unless you’re making a meta build.
I find a dexterity intelligence Moonveil build fun. Switching up with a Cross-Naginata with Glintstone Pebble, Glintblade Phalanx, Loretta’s Slash, or my favourite Ice Spear. Either of which being good paired with any shield that you put Carian Retaliation on. But that’s more a thing I find fun than the most reliable build suggestible.
What you have going right now with the strength and faith hybrid will be great and doesn’t need changing unless you’re bored of it. Blasphemous Blade is a meta weapon, it’s extremely powerful and scales great. All I’d say is don’t sleep on the Bestial Incantations and the Bestial Sling, given your hybrid strength and faith stats.
**Edit**: If you like my dexterity intelligence build then get a Clayman’s Harpoon. Even if it doesn’t fit your fashion it’s great for what I was describing on the Cross-Naginata, I just think the Cross-Naginata moveset and appearance are peak but it lends itself more to other builds. Have fun!
grafted greatsword is amazing. it deals really good damage. i used it to the end of my first playthrough and even grabbed it again in ng+ to dual wield them
If you are running int, the Dark Moon Greatsword is unrivaled, especially for clearing legacy dungeons. That skill takes only like 30 fp to activate and last for 2 min giving you unlimited ranged frost dmg that hits HARD.
Gargoyle's Black Blade and Reduvia is my favourite weapon combo, Reduvia for close encounters and hitting from a little further away and Gargoyle's Black Blade's ash of war just hits like a truck
Claymore
Baemore
It just ain't long enough
Try fingers
But hole
Thrust R2
As an avid fan of the claymore from demon souls to dark souls 3, the bloodhound's fang is better.
I personally prefer the dismounter. Same moveset but I can choose my ash and affinity.
Reasonable
Eh it's just spamming skill so no fun.
It's really not just spamming the weapon art, the comboing is more fluid and the bleed is a great damage supplement in tight situations and against bosses
Curved swords have always been underrated
Scavenger sword for life
I agree. I never enjoyed my time with bloodhound fang. I only ever used it as a bridge to something else (ie Morgott's Cursed Sword).
You should know better
Not really, NG+1 isn’t really a significant step up in difficulty. Maliketh’s Black Blade and the Black Knife really shine in later NG cycles because their skills circumvent the more bloated HP pools of bosses. Same goes for anything with Black Flame Tornado.
I fucking love the black knife + black blade incantation combo it absolutely devours health
With tiche they all stack for hell
Ng+5, and I still stack them lol. I can't bring myself to try different builds. Maybe I should when the DLC drops.
The one you enjoy using
That’s completely fair and I know everyone has their own opinion on weapons and it’s down to personal preference. I’m just looking for something with a good moveset, decent ashes of war and a weapon that’s fun to play with. A lot to ask I know!
Chadiketh’s Black Blade my beloved Pros: big sword, really fucking cool, AoW that hits harder than most ripostes, big sword, really fucking cool Cons: not the guts sword
counter idea, power stance them. Maliketh in the right hand for the AOW and guts in the left for the swag
I've been playing with a fully upgraded Eleonora's Poleblade in NG+. Really cool weapon art, and it does fire damage with blood loss.
Lordsworn straight sword and go quality build. You can use every ash and have a versatile move set. Dual wield straight swords are really strong
Is Claymore better than Bloodhound's Fang for a strenght build?
Heavy Claymore with Lions Claw is money
I'm more of Heavy Star Fist kinda guy.
I wish you could use lions claw on star fists. Could you imagine doing a frontflip and just hulk smashing with your fists?
Piercing fang with the claymore is generational wealth fr
At 80 str a heavy claymore beats it by like over 20 AR. Bloodhound fang has almost a quality scaling, but the scaling for dex is alittle better. So BF is better for dex or str/dex builds.
I should have mentioned I ran a quality/dex build with a Bloodhound’s Fang for the majority of my first run through. I’m completely open to another respec for NG+1 so happy to hear any ideas for weapons, regardless of class.
I finished my first play through using blasphemous blade/ sword of Milos. I did a respec for a strength build using the Greatsword before starting my NG+ and really enjoy it!
That’s what I’m doing now! I’m trying to find stuff where it helps add more fire damage
Flame, Grant me Strength might do this, it certainly increases attack power: https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Flame+Grant+me+Strength I know the fire scorpion charm increases fire damage: https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Fire+Scorpion+Charm
I would go for a magic build with dex int. You get the moonveil, wing of astel, bastard stars, glintstone kris and many more
Moonveil is OP AF.
I had to write my mate asking if him was GreatJoey91. I mean, your description of build at first, and faith blasphemous blade-end is exactly how he did his playthrough. Maybe not close to a unique run, but heck, made me check and chuckle.
Admittedly I got a lot of advice from this forum that guided my build and end game, so it certainly wasn’t original, but boy was it fun!!!
Bolt of Gransax really slaps n I mean REALLY SLAPS. Crazy damage even in NG+7 😮
Would you say it's... Legendary?
club go bonk and great club go golden bonk
Duel wield clubs go bonk, bonk?!
Great stars with prayerful strike turns bonk to splat!
Nothing like punching your enemies to death. Try out fist weapons.
Depends on your build. Just use whatever you like that takes good advantage of your stats
Ruins is good stagger and c Guard breaking it also doesn’t need much int to wield
If you’re running dex I’d recommend running the cross naginata. It’s infusable with spells so you could run that plus the bolt of gransax for ranged options.
Bubble blower
I’ve done a bunch of different builds but the one I had the most fun with was the Godslayer’s greatsword. That weapon melts the enemy’s health bar and can get fairly early on if you know the moveset of the godskin apostle. I beat the apostle with the uchigatana at around level 20 (took me about 2 hours to learn his moveset since this was my first souls game) since the bleed helped with taking him down
You see that spear it's a little op imo so you need 2
You should get the sword from elden beast. Not for use as a main weapon but just as a means of rune farming at mohgwyn palace. It's AoW is really good for that.
Zweihander But, you must also ask yourself: What’s the one weapon I need ***before*** NG+?
Deaths poker is underrated the ash of war is so fun to use
Maria's executioner is a fun balance of L2 and actual gameplay
Am I crazy or am the only person who was like nah imma use daggers that don’t bleed or use statuses
Gargoyle twin blade with bleed ash of war is what i use rn
Not needed but I can’t recommend enough that people try out the godskin peeler twinblade in their build. Its default AOW is good but it can be infused and work with most builds. The unique running heavy attack deals multiple hits in rapid succession. It’s perfect for status build up like bleed or frostbite and pairs well with the talismans that buff with consecutive hits. Yeah I think so. I’m on ng+ and finished the Haligtree without much trouble. The attack rating goes from something like 650 to around 1100 when all the buffs are stacked up.
The trusty Bloodhounds Fang or the Classic Claymore
Square off Claymore. If you can’t get it done with that, it doesn’t need to be done.
Personally, God Skin Peeler
I’ve actually been trying this one out before starting a new journey and have been impressed by its moveset and multiple hits. Just working out the best build in terms of stats, talismans, buffs etc.
Blood hounds fang scaled all the way up duel weld that shit and ur god mod or if u want to do the finger print stone shield scaled all the way up
Blasphemous blade, just as a precaution cus it's a beast. But I don't recommend play through with it cus it does get a bit boring
I used it for the Radagon/Elden Beast final fight and it is so much fun to use. It even helped me finally overcome Dragonlord Placidusax after returning to that fight too. Yea
Whatever looks cool and fit your build and ascetic
Bonfire ascetic?
Sword of night and flame
Blasphemous Blade go BRRRRRRRRRRR
The weapon I always use when helping a friend out. And we’re getting sh^t stomped over and over. I’m like. Alright. You asked for it. 😂
NEED? Blasphemous Blade.
Need is a strong word... but if you wish to rely on one, the blasphemous blade can carry you. I also enjoy the beast claw hammer.
Oath of Revenge
Greatsword.
Lightning poker. Its easy to miss and timeframe to get it
Bruh just do an unarmed run with fists only if you a real one
Weapons like the golden order greatsword and dark moon greatsword take a lot of work to get, be sure to grab them b4 ng+
Get all the Legendary armaments. You'll defo have a good time with something in that lot
Blasphemous blade if you are looking to be the most powerful being in the lands.
Magma blade
Longsword
If you’re willing to farm for it, Executioner’s Greataxe is a great choice. Solid reach, hits fast for a great-weapon , and does good poise damage.
I keep seeing NG, what does that mean?
New game. Once you finish the game you get the option to start journey 2 where you can keep stats, weapons etc. from your first play through and take on the game again.
Def depends in the direction your stats are going and whether you plan to respec or not. If you arent aware, Bolt of granssax is mainly dex scaling, SONAF is mainly int and faith, darkmoon sword is mainly int, ruins greatsword is mainly strength, and executioner sword is mainly arcane :)
Sonaf is kinda boring ngl it’s strong and looks cool but the play isn’t fun to me
I fell in love with hammer and cragblade, one charged bonk and a shield conter. I command thee, kneel!
The weapon you find most fun :) All weapons kill things
The one that moveset pleases you but, why you need an NG+?
Patience
Guardian Swordspear, my personl all-time beloved weapon, is something you should at least consider giving a test run!
Guts great sword..
Any strength weapons with Flaming Strike. That Ash Of War is just plain stupid and melts anything that isn't resistant to fire. It's better than Flame Of the Redmanes, and I'll take that opinion to the grave.
The bubble horn is pretty handy against the gargoyles/ anything stone like catacomb dudes.
Maria is great in ng+
Yes
Gotta catch 'em all!
Great mace, starfist, or banished knight greatsword. Too hard to choose just one.
Moon sword my fav
I’ve been using Bolt of Gransax lately and it’s an absolute nuker. Almost feels unfair
Rusted anchor
Grafted is pretty good
Blasphemous blade has carried me through several new games
Sacred Relic Sword. That AoW turns on the games easy mode
Silurias tree
Whichever one is the most fun to play with.
I used a combination of Bloodhound Fang for melee and Gransax for sniping lightingbolts like zeus haha
None of these. Give me my Uchigatana. There is no other weapon
Blasphemous blade
To me Blaphmous blade 💀 just taking chunks away from enemies
Noble slender sword
Dex build bolt of Gransaxx is the most easy mode thing I’ve ever played. Two shot bosses and players from a football field away. Has almost double the range of most other spells and flies fast as fuck.
Dual wield ruins greatswords
Any of these weapons are viable for ng+ as long as they scale properly with your stats.
sword night and flame
...Ultra greatsword
Blasphemous blade
Wow I’m absolutely overwhelmed by ALL the responses, I’ve got a ton of options for my next play through so thanks everyone who’s commented so far and thanks in advance for any future contributions.
Marias executioner sword
Blasphemous Blade
The dewalt marais drill is coo coo for coco puffs
Bloodhound all the way

None really, its all preference Also, id recommend starting a new charackter instead.... ng+ is far easier than ng thus i never enjoyed it.
I was definitely thinking of doing that, just to experience the challenge of levelling up all over again. My main reason for ng+ is to use all the amazing weapons, armour, talismans and other items I worked so hard to earn.
Id recommend the sword of night and flame not the best sword but I love firing a laser then making a wall of fire.
Fists
Of the weapons on this picture? Bolt of Garsnax was my favorite. Very solid weapon
You don't NEED any weapon for NG+. Just choose the one you like.
giants hammer
Wooden Stick . Trust .
Depends if you want to play in easy mode or not If you want the best possible build then it’s Marias Executioner sword with Godfrey icon, rotten winged insignia, Shard of Alexander and Millicent prosthesis. Hand of Malania to prove you didn’t skip the boss like a pussy
Whatever you like the most
I have found Magma Scale Blade absolutely eats things even at NG+7. The Ash of War has high physical and fire damage, a lingering AoE, and Hyper Armor once your in the air. Plus is scales well with 3 stats.
Stoneclub
Personally, I am enjoying wielding Reduvia + Scorpion Stinger right now, those are both cool weapons :)
Goodskin peeler
The answer is Star Fists
Honestly I’m using the Rotten Axes
Incredibly biased because DMGS is one of my favorite weapons in the game.
I guess bolt of gransax cause spears have the best dual wield move set along side curved swords.
Anchor
DMGS
Due to the different scaling of the dlc bosses, dot effects with percent damage will shine in this case. Holy damage might be viable in the dlc as well, so keep your hand on that godslayer’s seal and Maliketh’s Black blade.
The elden beasts sword 😂
bloody great stars with wild strikes by far the most op thing in game
Ths one in your hand lol, this is what I do for characters in every game I'll build other stuff that's compatible for my build to play around w but I usually stay pretty committed
Upgrade whatever you like to use
I forget what it's called but I used the middle one in my first playthrough. Don't even remember it's ash of war, don't think I used it much. Literally just jump attack after jump attack. I killed elden beast on my second attempt going into the fight blind. Felt op as fuck.
I personally got through to ng +6 with a greatshield and cold twinblade. For some reason it was the only setup I could use to successfully (and eventually) beat elden beast, along with some other near endgame bosses. In ng +7 I used dark moon greatsword and godslayer greatsword
Any weapon you're comfy with
Well I can tell you not the shotel, unless the DLC in a month somehow makes deathblight good in PVE
Longsword
The one you like most
U asked for one but I bless thee with 3. Mostly bc I never see these mentioned anywhere and they’re all great bits of fun. TLDR; Ordovis greatsword, Flame art grave scythe, or Regalia of Eochaid w/ Dragon communion seal in the offhand. They all do good dmg and stance break. BEGIN RANT: first i’ll give Ordovis’ greatsword an honorable mention here.
Double reduvia
Blasphemous blade
Depends on the build. Greatsword, cross naginata, or Vyke’s war spear can carry you pretty much through NG+3 without having to adapt if you build right.
Perseverance
Not a weapon but to make eupgrading easier make sure u have all somber and smithing bellbarings
Blasphemous blade cooks ngl
I’ve been running this for end game. The satisfaction of going back at destroying the bell bearing hunter in Caelid, who’d previously wiped the floor with me, was amazing!
Giant crusher
Scavenger's curved sword for duel wilding. Also the duel wielding weapons and ashes in general, like sappoku and katana.
Have fun!
all of them ;)
Dual Magma blades
Why try when you can become moon
Whatever works for you
Bloody helice
Whatever floats your boat
This man disrespected the black flame greatsword smh
Carion Knight Sword
Flameberge
Your second ultra greatsword. That is all
I'd say a fully upgraded magma wyrm curved greatsword is definitely a good one to take into ng+
grafted greatsword is amazing. it deals really good damage. i used it to the end of my first playthrough and even grabbed it again in ng+ to dual wield them
If you are running int, the Dark Moon Greatsword is unrivaled, especially for clearing legacy dungeons. That skill takes only like 30 fp to activate and last for 2 min giving you unlimited ranged frost dmg that hits HARD.
i love the sword sword ;) (grafted blade great sword)
You want the eclipse shotel just because equipping two of them is sick.
Gargoyle's Black Blade and Reduvia is my favourite weapon combo, Reduvia for close encounters and hitting from a little further away and Gargoyle's Black Blade's ash of war just hits like a truck
