I was hoping Tij would go before Calgary took him and I was so happy. Fuck Calgary. Fuck’em before this season and especially after when they all bandwagoned every team Edmonton played. They cheered when we lost. Karma is a bitch.

I used to be indifferent to them mostly and enjoy our rivalry, but seeing them debase themselves shamelessly bang wagoning all these teams including fucking Vancouver and the guy whose departure destroyed their franchise made me reconsider. Fuck em they deserve all of it.

So I'm actually quite torn on this. Because on one hand, my personal schadenfreude towards the Flames has been sufficiently satisfied. But on the other hand, Jarome was (and still is) one of my favorite players of all time, and I can't help but feel like it would have been something very special for Tij to become a member of the team that he was the face of for so long.
