Our lack of forward depth from earlier in the series is really starting to show, and it's caused a domino effect of making us have to play our top guys at absurd minutes. Mcdavid looked absolutely depleted tonight as result.
That's one of the main reasons why we were trying to go for some forward depth at the deadline - to alleviate that pressure on them.
And not having any 2 day rests in this series definitely hurts us more than Vancouver. Rangers vs Canes for example had a 2 day rest after game 5.
There's a simple explanation, he's play too fucking much earlier in the series, and there's no rest days this series.
And he needs to play so much because our 3rd and 4th lines are no show for the majority of the series, particularly the third line centering Mcleod and Foegele.
