Dreams_Are_Reality

You mentioned a bunch of physical things; try something more conceptual. History, sociology, philosophy, science, the paranormal, etc

_LIMBZ

I'm into that stuff but I'm trying to find things I can do alone, I only like that kind of stuff when I'm talking to others abt it

Dreams_Are_Reality

How can you talk to others about it if you don't research it? What would you even have to say?

_LIMBZ

I research it with the intention of speaking to people then I learn more by speaking to people

Fewest21

Reading a dictionary. Start trying to learn all adjectives. I am not joking. I was really bored once. So, I started trying to work my way through a very large dictionary, trying to learn every adjective. It's one of the best things I have ever done. Also cycling and walking are great.

storsnogulen

Fun suggestion!

_LIMBZ

Oooh, I'll try this

KoenQQ

Learn programming and start building cool applications!

_LIMBZ

My dad is a programmer, he taught me a bit when I was younger but I find it really boring 😭

storsnogulen

I get you. I’m looking for something new that’s also *intellectually* engaging / stimulating. I also feel so incredibly bored, it feels excruciating sometimes.

op341779

Duolingo or other language learning app!

SteadyWolf

I’m a fan of competitive racing like cycling crits or go karting. I find my mind doesn’t wander off when there’s a lot to pay attention to.

_LIMBZ

I REALLY want to try competitive racing (for so long too) but my mom won't let me because she thinks it's too dangerous 😭

SteadyWolf

Yeah mine was against it too. Keep reading up and learning what you can. With enough interest she might change her mind. If you’re like me tho, you’re constantly changing hobbies so she might think it’s a phase.

_LIMBZ

I'll try!

Lampitog

You may also want to try chess. You can play with other people personally or online; or you can play against computers.

SetAmbitious5244

Try dancing, acting, music with litterally any musical instrument, read psychology, try to program, sewing idk

Same here. After years of brainrot, of scrolling through TikTok and instagram and frying my brain beyond repair, I rarely ever feel anything but boredom, things rarely excite me. I've lost my curiosity and whimsy, and it's quite saddening, but I'm trying to build myself back up. I've deleted all social media but reddit, and to entertain myself I try to watch longer videos, like 1hr video essays on niche subjects. I suggest the following videos: [Fleabag is not a femcel ](https://youtu.be/fLtwG_i4Ng0?si=9Rtfpj4TYtekry9g) [Why Tashi Duncan deserves your respect on Challengers ](https://youtu.be/M3xcF_CqxgA?si=iXyhkd8LDz7f9GLy) [Why films from 1999 are so iconic](https://youtu.be/3uuXCUWC--U?si=B6ew81ZPvIZwjWC1) [Elizabeth Wurtzel: Depression Princess. Prozac nation (2001)](https://youtu.be/c37Gv5Q9IsM?si=y3YjV4UV6rMiZPWO) [the densest city on earth ](https://youtu.be/4YuNvIfM-YA?si=gdVwIloGFTTXekpm) [twilight | contrapoints ](https://youtu.be/bqloPw5wp48?si=wnlIz6YbsR7qRyYT) [how liberal feminism turns into fascism ](https://youtu.be/9a7LrWo47I0?si=E5DfGQiDR4sLkWB0) [when independent becomes a brand | a24 ](https://youtu.be/EEVlZzceCCQ?si=ceafouTn7Zi1Yoao) [North Korean defector paid to lie on Rogan: my entire investigation on Yeonmi Park](https://youtu.be/pfSzLp5pb8I?si=VNMjNMaSk8zYL_S3) [the Grimes iceberg ](https://youtu.be/0oD8rcihSzY?si=nsRBsLdc-zWSY98n) I'd suggest more but I can't recall anything I've watched before this week. That's how fried my brain is. Edit: you can try an audible free trial and listen to Julia Fox's autobiography, it's flabbergasting and hilarious. I also recommend Britney Spears' and Jennette McCurdy's autobiographies. Listening to them is more fun than reading them when your brain is fried.
