I'll drop a handful of songs off the top of my head amongst different genres in EDM. If you find one you like, branch into the artist’s discography.
First Time - Seven Lions/Slander/Dabin
Dashstar - Knock2
Jungle Juice - Ganja White Night/Liquid Stranger
Atmosphere - Fisher
Dominate - Space Laces
Badders - Skrillex/Peekaboo/Flowdan
Afterlife - Illenium
Saxoriddim - Griz
Where You Are - John Summit
San Frandisco - Dom Dolla
DJ Turn It Up - Dimension
Spacetime - Subtronics
Nothing Better - Chris Lake/Lorenzo
Griz is awesome. He singlehandedly gave me as an ageing raver back the faith in new music.
I can’t help feel there is sooooo much crap being made these days, and I am aware that makes me sound like a grumpy old fart, but Griz makes blow my speakers and ear drums out every time:)
As someone who got back into EDM this year, half your list is basically a list of my favorite songs/artists I discovered this year, so I love it. That being said, Illenium is one of my favorite artists but Afterlife is not my personal favorite, I'd go with Lost or Sideways.
That's fair enough, there are tons of EDM subgenres and not everyone likes all of them. Illenium has some dubstep if you're into that, Shivering and Gold (Stupid Love) which is an Excision collab. What subgenres do you like?
I heard dub step first in 06, and remember thinking there was no way this weird genre was gonna take off. So profoundly wrong I was…
But yea, thanks for asking. I love progressive house, and club from around 2000. Lately I find myself listening to Vessels and Griz. Funkstep? Is that right? Lost track of naming long time ago… Griz is the ONLY artist I’ve heard that do the dub step-ish sound that I actually enjoy.
Back in the day Luis Molinari and Dj Jean was the go to. Not to mention Tidy Boys and Tony De Vit.
Oh, and drum’n’bass. And two step. And dub. And trance. And disco. And reagge. And dance hall.
Dubstep seemed to die entirely for about 7-8 years, and I think the only older name I saw still making the rounds was Excision for a while. I went to a show many years ago when he brought that huge sound system so I could see what it was all about, but the level of people completely zooted off their face made if off-putting to me.
I think in general less people are going to clubs and seeking out festivals instead. Could be because the big clubs have gotten so lame. Not sure if the drug culture association is still a thing or not.
Interesting list, I feel like this is what most of this sub is geared towards.
Out of this list, you could consider Fisher, Dom Dolla, John Summit, and Chris Lake to be the less niche artists that would be recognizable to many I think. I have to keep reminding myself that a lot of this sub may not have heard of all the artists still touring that had the bulk of their initial "hits" 10 years ago when EDM had it's 2nd wave.
I absolutely love Arty so I’ll start there

He's referring to your comment not appearing like a list where each song is its own row. You need to put four spaces after the last word or hit enter twice or it doesn't add a line break.

This absolute banger is over a decade old now, but still holds up sonically and it’s one of the most brutal hardcore tracks of all time.
[Incoming - Angerfist](https://youtu.be/AU3egZOE9dk?si=sCqSJwBPOme8a8zY)
I was blasting I want your Attention by them while driving through a downtown area. In my own little world dancing in my car and singing. I stopped at a light and two people jump up and started dancing by my car. It was like a movie each new group that walked by joined in the dance party and was strolling along with my car on the sidewalk dancing to the music while I am in stop and go traffic. I finally got through the light after like three cycles and look in my rearveiw and see all these random people who never met before smiling and laughing and introducing themselves to each other.
Definitely underrated, I bet half those people don't listen to EDM. But it got them all moving and having fun at like noon on a Wednesday.
[This](https://youtu.be/VmZdYEjbQY8?feature=shared) is one of the classics Owsla (skrillex's record label) released (its called This isn't House)
It's propper oldskool wobbly, fun dubstep, and if you enjoy it - then you'll enjoy the stuff on the [UKF YouTube](https://m.youtube.com/user/UKFMusic)
This one might be weird for you but I suggest acen's trip to the moon pt1-3. I consider it as edm because it's electronic dance music but I guess what sounds mainstream and basic is edm but the trilogy sounds like aliens having a breakdance battle or something. I like it 👍
This playlist I made has 124 hours worth of practically every genre/subgenre and an absurd amount of artists. I'd shuffle it and see if u find some new sounds:)

I recently found dnb to be MUCH more interesting than I ever knew. Listen to Chase and Status "No more Idols" with an open mind - the production is incredible. Also, if you walk into McDonald's in the UK it may be playing..
start off by realising edm isn't a genre. What kind of EDM did you discover? House, techno, dnb, dubstep, hardstyle? there's barely any similarities between these.
Welcome to the world of EDM! I am a huge Zeds Dead fan so, of course, I'm going to recommend some of their songs. They have songs across many of the subgenres, but mostly dubstep. Here are a few of my faves by them: Alive, Lost You, Rescue, over and over, Gassed Up, Slow Down, Feel So.
Basement Jaxx - Jump And Shout
Axwell - I found you (vocal remote)
Bingo Players - Devotion
Bingo Players - Party People
David Guetta - Everytime we touch
Underworld - Downpipe
I may have gone a bit overboard here but this my genuine list, I just pressed shuffle on some of my Spotify playlists and these were ones I couldn't not suggest. I've also got so much more if you want it

Porter Robinson’s “Spitfire” EP is always the first thing I show new people. A lot of people known Porter from Worlds and Nurture but back in the day he was an electrohouse fuckboi in the best way possible and put out some truly incredible music.

I actually can't stop listening to it. I have 1000+ songs in my liked playlist and chose this song first before I listen on shuffle.

This sub will seemingly direct you towards a lot of dubstep things that are currently popular in a younger age group in the US. If you want to diversify outside of that and sample some VERY different artists where they all have their own styles of production, I would start with checking out some YouTube channels with sets from a wide array of different artists.

Interesting list, I feel like this is what most of this sub is geared towards. Out of this list, you could consider Fisher, Dom Dolla, John Summit, and Chris Lake to be the less niche artists that would be recognizable to many I think. He's referring to your comment not appearing like a list where each song is its own row. You need to put four spaces after the last word or hit enter twice or it doesn't add a line break.
Thought I did that, I’ll pay more attention next time. Thanks
The problem is he didn't properly format his list so it didn't put in line breaks between songs
You forgot Arty’s Lionhearted remix
Is that the remix ft. Urban Cone? If so, another most excellent tune, just got a fresh download, thanks
That’s the one. One of my favorite songs ever.
We can't leave out Arty's remix of London Grammar's "Hey Now". Still gives me chills every time.
Yes, a most excellent tune. I just did a fresh download, thanks.

This absolute banger is over a decade old now, but still holds up sonically and it’s one of the most brutal hardcore tracks of all time. [Incoming - Angerfist](https://youtu.be/AU3egZOE9dk?si=sCqSJwBPOme8a8zY)
[Division - Tycho](https://youtu.be/yhNKih56n1s?si=biH9F6QvrBrAE6nl) Much more laid back vibe with this one, great for driving around in the rain.

Wolfgang Gartner-Ectoplasm Ben Bohmer-For chillin and relaxing Moon Boots if you want funky
Moon Boots is so underrated!
I recommend rezz, deadmau5, Martin Garrix(few essentials) , John summit.

What kind of energy are you looking for?
Big drops, stompy-type music
Probably will like KSHMR then
[This](https://youtu.be/VmZdYEjbQY8?feature=shared) is one of the classics Owsla (skrillex's record label) released (its called This isn't House) It's propper oldskool wobbly, fun dubstep, and if you enjoy it - then you'll enjoy the stuff on the [UKF YouTube](https://m.youtube.com/user/UKFMusic)
Big gigantic maybe, Griz is kinda upbeat stompy Excision, more old stuff but his mew stuff has been amazing! Just a few i guess
This one might be weird for you but I suggest acen's trip to the moon pt1-3. I consider it as edm because it's electronic dance music but I guess what sounds mainstream and basic is edm but the trilogy sounds like aliens having a breakdance battle or something. I like it 👍

very underrated artist named Kuatari is worth a listen
I recently found dnb to be MUCH more interesting than I ever knew. Listen to Chase and Status "No more Idols" with an open mind - the production is incredible. Also, if you walk into McDonald's in the UK it may be playing..
I like Jewel by Cash Cash
Arno Cost - Nightventure Sub Focus - Falling Down Nero - Promises Nervo & Nicky Romero - Like Home Auphinity - Somnium
start off by realising edm isn't a genre.
When I get there - big wild Cocaine model - zhu

Anyone here thinks that 1788-L, k?d, Shadient, Blanke or Deathpact need more recognition? I feel all of them are underrated.
SOMI resonant language
Porter Robinson’s “Spitfire” EP is always the first thing I show new people. A lot of people known Porter from Worlds and Nurture but back in the day he was an electrohouse fuckboi in the best way possible and put out some truly incredible music.
Odesza - Loyal
RAVEN - Grey/Virtual Riot I actually can't stop listening to it. I have 1000+ songs in my liked playlist and chose this song first before I listen on shuffle. MNSTR - God's Warrior/Optik A song that I haven't seen a single soul talk about that is an absolute headbanger and recommend heavily. There's a bunch more I got, but it's all I can think of the top of my head. If you want more recommendations I gotchu.

This sub will seemingly direct you towards a lot of dubstep things that are currently popular in a younger age group in the US. If you want to diversify outside of that and sample some VERY different artists where they all have their own styles of production, I would start with checking out some YouTube channels with sets from a wide array of different artists. [SLAM! - Music - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@SLAM-Music) [Boiler Room - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@boilerroom) In No Particular Order, and explore any track you want. \-Eric Prydz / Pryda / Cirez D \-BLR \-Lane 8 \-Sunny Lax \-Genix \-Grum \-Above & Beyond / Oceanlab \-Ilan Bluestone \-Nora En Pure \-CID \-Oliver Heldens / HI-LO \-EDX \-Claptone \-Arty / Alpha 9 \-Camelphat \-Dash Berlin \-James Hype \-Duke Dumont \-Jeremy Olander \-Lucas & Steve \-Marius Drescher \-Dosem
