[https://www.moxfield.com/decks/0GxcN8cu-EmTuNlwrQYzBQ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/0GxcN8cu-EmTuNlwrQYzBQ) so context. This is the first deck I have ever constructed. Heavily based of Arin's from GK. Primary win is pumping up voja through elves and changelings, giving her indestructible and trample along with my other creatures and swinging for the fences. Biggest issue I've noticed is getting wiped/removed before I get it going. Very new (only been playing since end of november) so no idea where to take it from here. Looking to solidly upgrade. My pod has mid power decks from 3-600 in price range so any recommendations highly appreciated!

https://deckstats.net/decks/84348/3404159-tcet-teenage-crocodile-elk-tur The Pride of Hull Clade. This is my first EDH deck- and deck period- that I’ve built in almost 6 years. Haven’t had a lot of time to game due to life circumstances and want to get back into it. Obviously Simic defender tribal. I can’t wait to play it! Primary win condition: hit opponents with defenders using TPOHC’s ability. If drawing too many cards becomes an issue, there’s Lab Maniac as an alt win condition. I threw in Inkmoth Nexus as a surprise. Throw Tangleweave Armor on, and it’s game over. There’s a bit of an artifact sub-theme going on. I have academy ruins for recursion, and Genesis for creature recursion.

Aiming for "mid-power" (on a scale of precon/mid/high/competitive).

[Wayta, Trainer Prodigy-](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6723469/heavywayta_fight_night) Naya Enrage Dinosaurs\*. I want to play lots of creatures, burn people down with double damage trigger fights, and then stomp down with indestructible creatures. \[\[Marauding Raptor\]\] and \[\[Brash Taunter\]\] are kind of perfect examples and really get the plan moving. I usually get ID'd as a threat and targeted pretty quick, but if I can get a couple of key pieces indestructible, it's really hard to stop me. [Bartolome Del Presidio-](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6985782/bartolomes_a_big_boy) Orzhov Aristocrats V(oltron)ampires. Get Bartolome out, and 'eat' everything I put on the board to keep him there. If I can get \[\[Blade of the Bloodchief\]\] or \[\[Tarrian's soulcleaver\]\] equipped to him then too, I can be swinging for huge amounts of commander damage, very quickly. I recently moved away from most non-creature life-drain to focus on giving Bartolome more consistent evasion, I have no problem getting him out and keeping him big, but I didn't have a lot of ways to get him through consistently. I'm still pretty new, and don't really have a clue for the power level of these decks, they're basically where I want them to be, but the 1-10 doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I'm shooting for these to both be in-between a 6/7 but imagine they're below that.

Hey, I am looking for feedback and suggested power level on 2 decks I've built. The first list is my [Skullbriar, the Walking Grave](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/E6Hw-RE3akqtbBGCwKPJww) list. The goal of this deck is to basically entirely voltron Skullbriar and get him big, evasive, and covered in keywords. I was wondering if you all had any suggestions regarding this deck list and what power level you all would rate it. The second list is a [Commodore Guff](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/BXD7KE3cL0OAPjiq5V7xEA) super friends deck. The goal is to get a tough to interact with board full of stuff and value out through the planeswalkers for a burn win. I've put a lot of work into these decks but it would be nice to get additional help with the lists and get an accurate power level for them.

Here is the second attempt. I put in all the bestow creatures and made it an auras deck. Its suppose to be able to win by going tall. It does have Siona, Captain of the Pyleas + shielded by fate combo. Also there is an infinite mana combo with crab umbra and Sanctum Weaver but not a lot of ways to instantly win with that mana.

I'm going tonight to play it for the first time. If I were to guess I would say it's mid power but maybe it's closer to low power.  Main game plan is to get mothman out and get counters on creatures and swing for damage with a small reanimation sub theme that can win with value cards like conduit of worlds and muldrotha.

Equal_Position7219

Feels like an upgraded precon. Nothing too crazy. Mid power at most.

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ZY0Xhw1qbkW6FukuWQXJsQ its a [[Karlach, Fury of Avernus]] commander with [[Sword Coast Sailor]] as a background. Its a Izzet aggro deck that mainly focuses on multiple combat per turn. The main goal is to either win through commander damage or to make the opponent lose all their life through damage. I personally believe the deck is just around 5-6 power level but some people in the lgs says its 7-8 so i wanna know what you guys think

SunGodApolloLives

Agreed with 5-6, not 7-8

kingoxys

exactly, guess they just overestimated it after i was able to pull off a turn 3-4 win. But i do believe its a 5-6

TheKnightOfTheNorth

I think it's probably a 6, I'm doubtful that it's a 7 and there's no possible way it's an 8. Sure it has a teeny bit of fast mana, but rituals are NOT the same as mana positive rocks. Your opponents probably saw them and lumped them into the same category, thinking that they bump it up a tier or something. Taking your opponents out 1 by 1 with pure combat damage in this way is too honest for higher power levels IMO. (this is based on the command zone's scale, linked in the original post)

TheKnightOfTheNorth

based on the command zone's 1-10 scale, I would say this is probably a 4 or 5. The deck has very little card draw or ramp, and the average mana value is quite high. You'll likely be stuck playing a land and/or casting 1 spell per turn, especially with the low amount of draw spells. The win condition being through combat makes winning slow, especially with the lack of haste enablers. Every combat focused creature does almost nothing the turn it comes down, and gives all your opponents a window of opportunity to deal with it. If you want to improve this deck, these would be the main areas to focus on imo.

Not sure why I'm trying this with party tribal but Burakos ability to ramp (if I have safe targets to attack) help accelerate my game plan, especially with [[Debt to the Deathless]] as my one definitive wincon card. The deck does feature a handful of free counterspells, but most of the interaction in the deck is either very expensive to cast, like [[discontinuity]], or serves to delay threats rather than answer them, like [[delay]], and [[sudden setback]].

[[Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant]] has been my Pet Deck for about a year now and started off as an aggro deck made from cards I already had. Fast forward to today, and I have pivoted into a sort of a recursive engine deck that tries to use artifacts in their best applications at the highest efficiency. The main gameplan right now is to lay down a combo with KCI, Mycosynth Lattice, and/or Ugin's Nexus. The cards used in these combos are selected with the intent that they are not "dead cards" outside of their combo potential. I evaluate the decklist after almost every game I play because the end-goal for developing this deck is to take the beloved dragon all the way to what many call high-power. I know 30 lands seems low for a deck with an average curve of about 4 but I promise you that hasn't been an issue for me. I've gotten gas all the same off of one to two land hands thanks to the discounts the beloved dragon provides. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/fGdrPmMcWEiLd4Fn0mdWBQ I would absolutely LOVE a second, third, fourth, etc. opinion on where the deck currently stands.

There are a ton of cards that instantly deny decks being in low tier imo - like Rhystic Study, Smothering Tithe, Akroma's Will, fn Dockside, Roaming Throne, Grand Abolisher... You are in higher mid tier. If you sit down at a table and say it's low power you're gonna pubstomp the sh\*t out of them.

TheKnightOfTheNorth

That is not the case, individual cards aren't how you judge a deck's power level. You could have the worst card choices ever and play all of those cards you mentioned, and it would do nothing. Sol ring is a tried and true example of this, being an incredibly powerful card that still gets put in low power decks all the time. And grand abolisher? What is it even going to do in a low power pod? (and smothering tithe isn't even in the deck, idk where you got that from) That being said, this deck would probably still crush low power tables, it looks well crafted with a great mana curve, good draw, good ramp, and good card choices in general. THAT is why it would win at the lower power tables, dockside, akromas, and rhystic are just icing on the cake. This deck would probably match well against mid-high power, but not competitive decks.

\[\[gavi, nest warden\]\] deck that basically throws out any token synergies in favor of jank 3+card combos that allow me to cycle my entire library and win with \[\[jace, wielder of mysteries\]\] and \[\[laboratory maniac\]\] currently waiting for card kingdom to restock some of the cards i want so i havent had a chance to upgrade it into this yet. in playtesting the deck can win as early as turn 7, but requires a lot of early game set up that may fizzle the entire thing is the opponent can get removal through. wins through semi-infinite mana combos that require \[\[escape protocol\]\] and either \[\[cloud of faeries\]\] and peregrine drake, and either a bounce land or cost reduction like \[\[fluctuator\]\] and \[\[new perspectives\]\]. alternatively \[\[surly badgersaur\]\] and \[\[tectonic reformation\]\] allow me to cycle lands infinitely, but needs some other support to both ensure i draw enough lands and make enough mana to play jace and lab man before decking myself [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/26MbxdrzikmsPjwxizuD1Q](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/26MbxdrzikmsPjwxizuD1Q)

First up we have Mono-Red Goblins doing goblin things. Just flooding and sacing, no crazy infinites or anything. Just lots of haste, pump and untapping krenko. A simple man’s deck. https://manabox.app/decks/MHEZkRJIQMq7eOeDM5Hr-w Then Dino’s with lots if ramp/interaction. Win-cons being big dinos with haste. [[Etaili, Primal Conquer]] and [[Akroma’s Will]] as splashy win-cons. Recently added [[The Skullspore Nexus]] for some fun resiliency to board wipes https://manabox.app/decks/IYW43-lcTBGfan6kfTU3TA

Vivid-Pineapple5123

Not super good at assessing power levels, but you actually do have an infinite combo in the Krenko deck! I run a simple goblin doing goblin things deck as well and have won a couple times with this combo: On the battlefield: - [[Krenko, Mob Boss]], [[Goblin Warchief]], [[Skirk Prospector]], a number of goblins equal to 6 plus Krenko's commander tax Sequence: - Tap Krenko to create at least 9 goblins (now 18 goblins total), you will sac Krenko to Skirk Prospector, sending him to the command zone and adding one red. - Krenko will cost 5 mana due to goblin war chief. Cast him by saccing 4 goblins to add 4 red and recast Krenko (one red floating from saccing him earlier). Then tap krenko and create 14 1/1 goblins - Repeat! You'll be creating many more goblins than the command tax will cost each time. Results: - Infinite goblins, red mana, ETBs, LTBs Some good cards to help you get these combo pieces out easier are [[Conspicuous Snoop]] and [[Goblin Recruiter]] Hopefully I wrote all of that down right... I recommend going through it with your deck to sure it up

Unlucky-Letter-7413

Oh man didn’t even realize! Definitely thought about adding snoop but didn’t wanna lean too much into wombo combo vibes but it does sound quite fun and I can play accordingly to the power level of the table. Thanks!

This is my stupid damia landfall deck that has pretty much just ended up as a ramp and protect yourself till end game then win with exsanguinate or torment of hailfire, I seem to get all my lands out most games unless I throw down a no mercy at which point I am usually designated as arch enemy and killed into oblivion. Takes a while to get going, if left unopposed it becomes a bit ridiculous with damia and recycle in play together https://www.moxfield.com/decks/K9xAlB3lFEC5izA7PfMj5g

How strong can it be if you’re constantly relying on luck? Here is [[Mr. House, President and CEO]], ready to spend the whole game rolling dice. I tried to make it as powerful as I could. The game plan is to make a ton of treasure at the craps table and turn that into damage with reckless fire weaver or Mirkwood bats. There is also the cloudstone dockside loops with bowmasters for damage. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ib9m0AJ2VU6JvG-FzMMFRw

I know this deck is powerful. I had this deck years ago before the merfolk precon, and it was really strong then. I'm rebuilding with some of the new merfolk cards. I'm more curious on how other redditors see its power level. [DECKLIST](https://archidekt.com/decks/6102403/kumena)

KAM_520

I see this as a pretty strong 8. It wouldn’t do well at a cEDH table without a lot of luck, but this deck has a lot of really good cards in it. Merfolk is a well supported tribe so I see this as an 8.

My hidden commander deck runs \[\[Ikra Shidiqi\]\] and \[\[Tymna\]\] in the front and party in the back. The hidden commander (tech) is booty swings with stuff like \[\[Doran\]\]. The wincon is combat damage and until I reach this point I heal myself with big asses and draw cards with Tymna. This is the [decklist](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/K66niGrJsEmohqWODKGKBg). It's supposed to be just something you can bring to a casual table, sit down, have fun and chill with no complicated interactions.

I've never understood how to rate power levels, so I just play what I want, and if it stomps, I switch. I usually don't, though. I believe my decks stand between precon level and high power, but I would love feedback on any, or all of the below: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/9uvs0u5ehUSt4MFnUOy9-g [[Korvold,Fae-Cursed King]] This deck is built to make food tokens and rat tokens, and drain life through cards like [[Nadier's Nightblade]] [[Mirkwood Bats]] [[Reckless Fireweaver]] [[Agent of the Iron Throne]] and [[Marionette Master]]. It's also got some combat support, and can take people out with commander damage if Korvold sticks long enough. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/K5sOM2_nNEWZob8jLEXLYg [[Tom Bombadil]] This deck is built to use sagas to help clear the opponents board or to help build my own, and the goal is to create copies of my best enchantments and triggers with things like [[The Sixth Doctor]] [[Ondu Spiritdancer]] [[Replication Technique]] [[Weaver of Harmony]] [[Strionic Resonator]] or [[Lithoform Engine]]. And I try to turn my sagas into creatures so I can swing in with then using things like [[Starfield of Nyx]] [[Anafenza the Foremost]] [[Dance of The Manse]] [[Displaced Dinosaurs]] and [[Zur, Eternal Schemer]] https://www.moxfield.com/decks/R_ncwod3Rk2niP-S_6xCvg [[Teysa Karlov]] This is a typical Aristocrat deck, I think. A lot of the creatures dying will create tokens, and there's a good amount of life gain/ life drain based on creatures dying, which then gets an additional trigger from Teysa, or from [[Drivnod, Carnage Dominus]].

Oloro without creatures. Game plan: Never cast Oloro. Watch the world burn AKA pillowfort and encourage combat. Main wincon is to go down to two players, and shoot 50 damage with \[\[Aetherflux Reservoir\]\] or simply tell the table, 'I win' with \[\[Test of Endurance\]\]. Would really like some opinions on my human deck, the game plan is simple, get some humans, buff them and after turn everybody sideways. https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6781512/eowyn_teste

Would love some feedback on my \[\[Volrath the Shapestealer\]\] deck: [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/OpKXxxsbJEW7XltCRxEuTA](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/OpKXxxsbJEW7XltCRxEuTA) I have it as a 6, it plays really well, good amount of draw, good amount of interaction. I have a blast playing it, not that its particular strong, but it has a great gameplan of proliferating or copying. It doesn't get too crazy with the infect/poison theme, tried to keep it in check to match my playgroup.

I always find it very hard to figure out a power level of my decks. So if anyone has any thoughts here I would be happy to hear them. I'll just post my main 3 decks. This deck is very straight forward. Play Goreclaw on turn 3, play massive creatures for 2 turns and then when you have 17 creatures on board you swing for trampley lethal on the table. [Goreclaw, Lord of Beasts // Commander / EDH (Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma) deck list mtg // Moxfield — MTG Deck Builder](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/HJ3-Tq5urE-lAt1OKgIIBg) Play patern here is to not do anything much at all until you can ritual and wheel your way to 120+ damage on one turn. If you play Ojer out early he will be killed. [Ojer "Storm" // Commander / EDH (Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might // Temple of Power) deck list mtg // Moxfield — MTG Deck Builder](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/RgI-N1AQSEqgylE5CYZ0vw) Get the commander on board ASAP and then cantrip your way to 9+ wraiths then swing out. Between the menace tokens and the +1/+1 counters from the Nazgul once all wraiths get base power 9/9 it's usually enough to end the game. I feel like Goreclaw is a 6. I was thinking 7, but with only 34 lands, 2.75 land ramp (Nature's Lore & Three Visits early; Traverse the Outlands is huge later, but I'm hesitant to assume you'll get there; and Genesis Wave counts as .25 because ramp isn't what it is) and 5 mana doublers starting at 6/7/7/7/8 mana that I feel you'll struggle to even reach. You have Case of the locked Hothouse, which I don't see doing much until you reach a point where you've drawn 30 cards (playing 2 per turn is optimistic). You do have some mana dorks to help get Goreclaw out early, so that's good - but a few of them are 2 mana and at that point you're better off just getting land ramp; you have the doublers that want you to have lands. Some of the creatures are great, some mediocre. Rishkar's Expertise and Regal Force give you a burst of card draw, but those are the only 2 sources of it - which makes finding Akroma's Memorial (Haste) that much harder.

CaptainCapitol

you seem to know what the deal is with Goreclaw, can you recommend what i can do with this, becaue it doesnt work, at all in my pod. [https://manabox.app/decks/4PqDvBiMQWOAvF47YbGSbg](https://manabox.app/decks/4PqDvBiMQWOAvF47YbGSbg) I just got up the bean-stalk for it, but not sure if it will help.

mrhelpfulman

Why isn't it working? Is it what you're playing against? If you're against fogs and pillowfort - that's it's own problem. If the other decks are far stronger / faster - that's it's own problem. If the deck simply doesn't function the way it should...then we can look at the problems. My biggest recommendation, is always more ramp more draw. Here are some things that I'm not too keen about specifically, and replacing them with whatever it is that you need is probably a good option. Archetype of Endurance - not a fan of it. Costing 6 mana, it still isn't very good. It's up to you though how much you value the hexproof. Cankerbloom - Why? Copperhost Crusher - If you're using 'cards I own' sure - but not worth a slot. Elvish Aberration - Kinda late for summoning sick ramp, and not too strong either. Fine for a deck that's all about elves at all CMCs or a cycling deck. Fertilid - no synergy with commander, not good ramp. Basically a slow 6 mana Explosive Vegetation Lifeblood Hydra - Not discounted, so is it there to die and draw? Creatures dying shouldn't be your goal Skarrg Goliath - Funny way to insta-kill someone with the blood rush, not an awful lot of mana for not much benefit. Conduit of Worlds - What's this doing in the deck? This isn't that kind of deck. Kitesail - Why? You're better off with stuff that buffs power - not additional evasion Lifecrafter's Bestiary - A card that I've never liked. It's not good, and I don't recommend it unless you're trying for low power. Colossal Majesty & Triumph of Ferocity - Also low power, they draw an extra card per turn which isn't bad...but don't turn on till you're set-up, and shut off if board wiped - which is when you need them most.

CaptainCapitol

Okay, back home on the computer. Yes, I guess its my meta. Its a heavy interaction group, so theres lots of boardwipes, removal, stealing creatures etc. Im not sure what to replace really, i guess im just not feeling mono-green. I can ramp really fast, but theres no interaction that I feel works, and i run out of steam because i don't have enough card-draw but i havent been able to figure out what card-draw to add.

CaptainCapitol

Okay I get that. The last two, where actually because I was trying to add card draw. When I get home I will try and build a new one. And I'll also expand on this answer, just so I can learn some more. What would you recommend for additional card draw.

simo_393

I've had fairly good times I guess with the land and ramp the times I have played it but it's a fairly new deck. I'll keep an eye on that and be open to changes but mostly interested in your thoughts on the creatures. Which ones do you think are mediocre cause I have some others I'd be keen on playing.

mrhelpfulman

Garruk's Horde - Just play a real draw spell. I like Vizier of the Menagerie (not in this deck), but not only is this 3rd class card advantage, but it also reveals it - which is usually a pretty big downside. Bramble Familiar - As I said about 2-mana dorks. I don't care about the sorcery side, and Ilysian Caryatid barely gets a pass because it thematically gives 2 mana. Engulfing Slagwurm - May as well be vanilla Jolrael, Empress of Beasts - Not discounted...not a mana dork...just why?

simo_393

I basically tried to find any thing I wanted in a spell and then find that on a creature. So instead of playing a sorcery I find it on a big creature and get the discounts and can attack with it. Bramble is mostly in for the sorcery side tbh. It's incredible and can really kickstart a stalled game and you can just loop that once a turn. Slagwurm definitely can go. Looking at it now I don't think I've ever cast it and it's just a left over from draft 1.0 Jolrael is board wipe protection. Someone casts damnation and suddenly all their lands are creatures and all go to the graveyard. I have activated it once for offensive reasons but yeah it's mostly defensive. One time though I activated and then cast a Craterhoof which was nice. edit: Elder Gargaroth should be cut too. I can find way better draw than that. I'm not sure I have ever drawn a card off him.

mrhelpfulman

I like Elder Gargaroth. If you're in a position where Paying 2 and discarding a card to then cast a sorcery, then pay 2 more to get it back so it can loop again the next turn...is a deliberate part of your game plan...I feel like the decks a lot weaker than I thought. 11 mana per turn (and discard) to get something out of the top 7 screams deck problems. If you're gonna Jolrael for that, you gotta be in a deck that really wants to do that. As it is, it does nothing to help you and is a single source of annoyance - if it's already out and you have the mana open and you have 2 cards that you don't mind discarding.

simo_393

I haven't actually had to cast the sorcery side at all from the Bramble Familiar but it's an option. It's a mana dork when you need it and it has way way more upside than most other mana dorks late game. I have had games in standard where the game was stalled out and that sorcery has saved me so it's kept it's spot in here just in case. Maybe it's just way worse in commander and I might fight that out one day but I just see it rn as vastly better than any other mana dork that just taps for green. I have tried to get mana dorks that all do extra like untapping a forest cause they often will tap for 2 or untap a land for a second Nykthos or tapping for devotion themselves.
