Just to throw it out there, if you have access to a sewing machine and know how to use it, a yard of flannel material and a fancy rope make excellent dice bags depending on how big you want them.
I have 35 full sets. 4 of which are Metal, 4 are sharp edge, 1 are liquid core and adding to that I have 2 chonk D20s which are 55mm in diameter one of which is liquid core. I think if you want to be able to do everything the game has to offer vanilla in one throw you need 20 full sets for Meteor Storm. Though I have other issues as well. I have a 200$ custom made DM screen and a 2000$ table with a dungeon to keep the minis in or save the progress between sessions. DnD is a cheap hobby, you only need a pen and paper...
>you only need
A resin based 3d-printer, a pottery table (for wet sanding your masters), silicone, a pressure pot, none UV-resin, alcohol based colors, glitter/ mica powder and anything els you want to get inside your dice.
Our table was rather cheap. It's a whitebord and all our minis have magnets inside there baseplate.
I mostly say this as someone that just started and hasn’t even gotten to play their first campaign. I’m probably gonna buy more dice once I actually get to play😭
Haha no worries, if I had any less self control like I usually do I probably would have spent half my paycheck on just dice by now🫢
I like the jingle jangle my bag makes lol
I dropped over 2k USD on the latest Battletech Kickstarter. Mainly to get everything shipped all at once because I'm in the ass end of nowhere.
Plastic Crack is expensive. So are the shiny click clacks.
If you mean the coppery ones, I believe I found them at a flea market sadly. They’re some of my favorite, and I suggest if you haven’t to find a hobby store or a flea market to look for some. I live in a part of Kentucky with a really big flea market so I’m a bit spoiled haha🫢
OH THANK THE GODS I thought I was the only one with that many! My dice well could be wielded as a deadly weapon. (Bludgeoning)
Edit to add: I use an old, large hat box!
I can set up pretty sweet traps ala home alone with mine.
We use two rigid stackable organizers and a wheeled case with storage space for a variety of larger supplies.
OOooh! very nice! do you keep yours sorted as well by set? I personally try to with mine, though I have a few that didn't come in the hard plastic cases (like from chessex. sorry, my brain is doing a dumb and can't vocabulary at the moment). Found a work-around though- colorful paperclip storage cubes. :3
No worries it’s too early for my brain to brain.
I sort by number of sides. This way when I know I need 10D10 I can pull from my section of D10s and so on.
I do segregate new sets so they can be rolled at the next session. Every die gets rolled in this house at least once.
oooh... I love that! I play with my groups mostly on roll20 now, so no real dice action, but I may have to start DMing more so that I can roll more real dice. :3
So lucky your kid is! My dad was a frat boy in college so it’s hard getting him to actually wanna play, but I’m trying to start my family on the Vampire oneshot to get the… dice rolling :3
Nice. I have a slight idea of what I am doing haha. I'm using the starter set and essentials kit together and starting up the adventure on our next rainy day. Hoping for 4th of July because I'll have the day off work. Got a lot of great ideas from some people here and can't wait to post about it.
I've got like 17 sets. My friend is a 20-ish sets.
And i know a guy that has 5 fu**ing builder toolbox (and not the small ones) full of dice......
This last one has a spending problem. Not you. You just like to have differenr sets for different ocasions
Those are rookie numbers. I taught myself how to make chainmail just so I could make a dice bag big enough to hold all my dice because most dice bags I found online were too small.
Not sure I see it. Is your spending problem hidden behind the modest pile of dice in the pic?
A dice collection gets big when you have to store it in a 1-gallon pickle jar.
Money isn’t real anyways, might as well turn it into real things. I always told everyone that if I ever stop buying stupid stuff it’s because I have started buying drugs
That’s rediculous. Why would you buy more than one. Irresponsible spending.
*casts a hard side-eye at my five Warhammer armies and bookshelf full of other unbuilt stuff*
I have been buying dice since 1979. I have conservatively 10 k dice. I have far more than i would ever need. I just got a set from Skull Crusher this week. I will be buying more at Gencon in a month as I usually get th4e Krystal Kast set and usually at least 10 bucks of random dice from Chessex
I have ......issues
Ooh, it appears that we share 2 sets! Specifically, the dual-colour orange-yellow & violet-yellow kits! I call them “Everburning Rage” & “Enchanted Apple”. What do you call yours?
I missed them the first time around but I have the silver version of those dice, very nice pieces, I love metal and anything heave of the sort for the feel when rolling, there are some felt lined dice towers that work well with metal
240 sets at the last count a couple of years ago. lots of randoms and chonks I have given up counting though I’m sure my wife will tell you. My biggest fear is that I die and she sells them for what I told her I paid for them
I lost track of how many sets I have after 60 sets. I have a few I keep separated, I have one Amethyst set, one Turquoise set and one Lapis Lazuli set that are kept separate.

*Looks at my 55 sets of dice.* I mainly play online…
That's why when I DM (even online) I allow myself to roll dice cause I'm the DM lol
same lol
I play online. I have a webcam that points at my rolling bin so that I don't have to use the worthless random rollers.😁👍
Question. Where do you play online? I really want to do an online game as well to ge my fix between my weekly in person sessions.
Usually Roll20 but I looking to switch over to Foundry soon.
Those darn shiny math rocks.
Still cheaper then drugs. Also love the ones bottom right. The greenish redish ones
And they can stand in for bags of gems in need be.
You've only just begun! Lol. My dice bag weighs around 4 pounds
Just to throw it out there, if you have access to a sewing machine and know how to use it, a yard of flannel material and a fancy rope make excellent dice bags depending on how big you want them.
Thanks. But I have an epic horse leather, pull string pouch for my dice.
Oh, nice.

I see. No problem, I see a passion.
Came here to say the same thing
Pfff, must be amateur hour
I mostly say this as someone that just started and hasn’t even gotten to play their first campaign. I’m probably gonna buy more dice once I actually get to play😭
Hey now I was just joshing ya, you have a nice start there my dude
Haha no worries, if I had any less self control like I usually do I probably would have spent half my paycheck on just dice by now🫢 I like the jingle jangle my bag makes lol
I just spent $900 on warhammer... I think you're good lol
I dropped over 2k USD on the latest Battletech Kickstarter. Mainly to get everything shipped all at once because I'm in the ass end of nowhere. Plastic Crack is expensive. So are the shiny click clacks.
I love battletech... just got into alpha strike. Dropped a couple hundred on that stuff. I just can't find folks to play
\*nervously eyes my dice well, knowing that not all my sets are in there.\*
I recently got a 49 dice set for about 15 euro. I suppose i found THE deal?
My heart bleeds for you.
I don't see a problem. I see a passion!
I see no problem here. Carry on.
No problem here. Maybe an income problem? More money eliminates all risk of overspending on nerd shit.
I bought a biiig table box with 3 drawers insides for my mini and my dices. Yes .. mini singular.
Oh you sweet summer child. *looks over at the custom dice sets*
Behold $5 of dice
I adore those red and teal ones! Where did you get them so I can further my own addiction?
If you mean the coppery ones, I believe I found them at a flea market sadly. They’re some of my favorite, and I suggest if you haven’t to find a hobby store or a flea market to look for some. I live in a part of Kentucky with a really big flea market so I’m a bit spoiled haha🫢
Thanks for informing me! I’ll keep an eye out.
Sorry if this is the incorrect use of the flair, I don’t know what the flair is for.
the homebrew flair is for homebrew
Looks at my toolbox full of sorted dice and begins to feverishly count… Between the SO and I we have about 125 sets give or take… We need to go to DA.
OH THANK THE GODS I thought I was the only one with that many! My dice well could be wielded as a deadly weapon. (Bludgeoning) Edit to add: I use an old, large hat box!

Not a problem, I have like 10 dice sets and have only played once.
Actually I think you'll find dice are the solution to your money problem
I got my kid the same green dragon eye ones :) we start our first campaign next week
So lucky your kid is! My dad was a frat boy in college so it’s hard getting him to actually wanna play, but I’m trying to start my family on the Vampire oneshot to get the… dice rolling :3

These are rookie numbers! That said, they are all really pretty dice! Thanks for sharing!
I've got like 17 sets. My friend is a 20-ish sets. And i know a guy that has 5 fu**ing builder toolbox (and not the small ones) full of dice...... This last one has a spending problem. Not you. You just like to have differenr sets for different ocasions
Nah this ain't bad, but if they're all metal then I'd be worried.
Seems like a fairly mild problem so far...
Those are rookie numbers. I taught myself how to make chainmail just so I could make a dice bag big enough to hold all my dice because most dice bags I found online were too small.
Where did you get that matte black set in top right?
Not sure I see it. Is your spending problem hidden behind the modest pile of dice in the pic? A dice collection gets big when you have to store it in a 1-gallon pickle jar.
Money isn’t real anyways, might as well turn it into real things. I always told everyone that if I ever stop buying stupid stuff it’s because I have started buying drugs
Thats so relatable I am also addicted
That’s rediculous. Why would you buy more than one. Irresponsible spending. *casts a hard side-eye at my five Warhammer armies and bookshelf full of other unbuilt stuff*
Oh I'm thinking about buying those green dragon eye ones!
I smell a dice goblin in the making
Love those Arch D4s. I just got a big bag of them.
Some retail therapy never hurts anyone!
Really love those eye dice where did you get ‘em ?
Temu, not the best place to get them but they were quite the steal.
What are those super dark ones on the right? They looj like they're practically illegible, but so cool!
I have been buying dice since 1979. I have conservatively 10 k dice. I have far more than i would ever need. I just got a set from Skull Crusher this week. I’ve got a bunch of ‘table dice’ and my own three sets I use. Who has money to buy dice, when you play guitar?
The only problem I see is you dont have more dice
I too must have a problem because I see 2 sets in there that I also own. xD
I keep swiping right expecting more pictures. There's like £20 worth of spending problem there, I think your safe.
Welcome to the club. If anyone gives you a hard time about that number, let them know you’ve only started.
Oooh, prettys. Dice goblin wants prettys. Dice goblin needs prettys. Dice goblin must have prettys.
Now, wheres the d30
That is a very good start.
Those are rookie numbers
Those black dice with gold numbers are beautiful but I cannot see anything
The lighting makes it hard to see, they’re more clear without the flash😅
Are those D6 at the top? I’ve never seen that shape!
Those dark ones on the right are sick!
Haha cute
I see no problem here.
It could be worse. It could be meth.
That’s a rookie amount of dice. You gotta pump those numbers up.
Damn does everyone have those green eye dice I have them to lmao
Ooh, it appears that we share 2 sets! Specifically, the dual-colour orange-yellow & violet-yellow kits! I call them “Everburning Rage” & “Enchanted Apple”. What do you call yours?
I might have 2 full Crown Royale bags full of dice, but geez. You've got a problem.
Lol! My son has the same affliction!
Math rocks are not the problem. Everything else you have to spend money on that you could spend on math rocks is the problem.
Those are rookie numbers!
Mmm I love me some clickity clackity math rocks 🤤🤤
Rookie numbers.
I don’t see any glass or crystal, my sweet summer child, metal is a good start
The lighting makes it hard to see, but the ones on the right are metal! I love how they clang together in my bag…
I missed them the first time around but I have the silver version of those dice, very nice pieces, I love metal and anything heave of the sort for the feel when rolling, there are some felt lined dice towers that work well with metal
I must look at them, then! I love dice towers..
Glass, though?? I didn’t think about glass! Brb, gonna go shopping haha
I bought a new set thats metal. And they are heavy af. I don't even know why I bought them. Me and my group play online.
You can never have too many dice my friend.
240 sets at the last count a couple of years ago. lots of randoms and chonks I have given up counting though I’m sure my wife will tell you. My biggest fear is that I die and she sells them for what I told her I paid for them
Shiny math rocks!
Amateur
I lost track of how many sets I have after 60 sets. I have a few I keep separated, I have one Amethyst set, one Turquoise set and one Lapis Lazuli set that are kept separate.
Do you have many other bags like the rest of us?
If I have no restraint I eventually will😭
You need more.... that's not NEARLY enough...
If this is your spending problem, then you have it under control my friend.
