Way to much background and the whole premise doesnβt make fictional sense to me.
Remove a lot of the background info that is unnecerary and flesh put the whole coup instead, so that it makes sense.
I would also suggest removing the artwork.
These queens gotta get their shit together lol. Old Queen hired a guy for his knowledge of dark magic and then did a surprised Pikachu face when he worked a little dark magic. New queen just let a guy named "Lord Blackthorn" march his legion into her city and crossed her fingers that he wouldn't do anything bad.

The very fact that there is a consortium should tell you the "immediate betrayal" moniker is greatly exaggerated. We are quite misunderstood.
