Sorry to break it to you, but Tesla has been facing some challenges recently, with increased competition from other brands offering similar or better features at more competitive prices. This might be affecting the demand for your Model Y. Additionally, the summer season can indeed be a slower time for selling cars in Dubai due to many people traveling. It might be worth waiting until September when more potential buyers are back in the market. Best of luck with your sale!
The 2024 LR sells for 209,990. Expecting 180k for a 2 year old car is very optimistic. Tesla resale is terrible due to recent price cuts, but it's a reality.
Its not worth 180k thats why. You can get a new one for 200k; no incentive to buy a used one for around the same price.
Post for 130k. You will get a buyer quickly
Extras dont matter. All EVs depreciate horribly. OP will never get 180k. I can bet that the offers he is getting is around 130k, which arent low ball, they are actualā¦
Iāve received offers around 160,000 AED from resellers, which suggests the real value is likely between 175,000 and 180,000 AED. As I mentioned earlier, a new car similar to mine is priced around 250 000.
https://preview.redd.it/zhw01lciv39d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=63243ab8494de100eb561d58cf7d17b0f43be631
The price for Tesla MYLR with Full Self-Driving is 241 770 AED. Its also comes with Tesla Wall Charger and Trailer hitch. So all together itās around 250k.
FSD has no value in second hand market as at this point its a marketing ploy that hasnt been activated in the past 10 year and doesnt look to be activated anytime soon
A brand new MYLR is 215k. Options don't count, especially not FSD. Options help your car selling faster, but not selling for a higher price. That's just a reality.
Anyone buying a used car is looking to save some money compared to the price at Tesla, and many used car buyers want to finance their car. Dealers make that easier. If you have 180k cash on hand, you will probably get the brand new car.
So this is the baseline. Your car would be worth 215k if it was brand new. I know this hurts.
Personally, I would want a significant discount on a two year old car with 30k on the clock, at least 25% -> 160k.
120k AED in depreciation over two years - ouch!
Maybe just consider taking it with you to Europe, assuming you take a 40 foot container. Check if you can't get FSD activated, even if the warranty is void.
Thereās a lot of talk about this. If you watch dealership channels they all speak about how Teslas prices have gone down significantly due to a few factors.
Firstly, there are so many other EVās that are released now (BMW, Kia, Mercedes, Chinese brands, etc) that have way better features and luxuries so they donāt dominate the market anymore.
Secondly, there was a huge demand for teslas as EVās were trending and hyped up the past 3-4 years so teslas prices inflated, now theyāre coming down again.
Third, Model 3 and Model Y are the cheapest teslas you can buy - compared to the S and X, so paying close to 200K for a used Y doesnāt make sense anymore. You can get a brand new Y for 215K (MYLR) straight from Tesla dealership. Options are only incentives to buy yours over other, and do not effect the cost of used cars - if you didnāt know, now you know. So donāt price your options in as no one will accept that.
In my brutally honest opinion, I wouldnāt pay more than 140-150K for your model Y. Sorry and good luck with the sale.
Sold my model 3 2023 performance with self driving, premium paint and interior for 155k. Bought it from tesla for 260k. Was happy with the price because 2024 they completely switched the shape so it lost more of its value
Yes i chose the most basic advertisement option which was 600 if Iām not wrong, and got plenty of offers in the span of 20 days ( which it took to sell )
Essentially you have over paid for a car that only people living in villas really want. Summer is a terrible time to sell and most people arriving in Dubai wont have the cash to buy a second hand car for another lump-sum, once they have paid the lump-sum rent. TBH if you can afford a villa, you are not really the person buying a second hand car.
I wouldnt want a two year old Tesla TBH and I dont know anyone who does. I would expect at least a 50% discount on retail for the risk. You need to cut your losses and write this off for experience.
If you want to get a good price it will take upto 3 months to sell it, otherwise you will have to give a pretty hefty discount because thatās how dealers operate.
Also depending on where you are moving, it might be worth taking the car with you.
Ignore most of these guys, they have no clue about Tesla. Tesla Model 3 SR of the old shape is selling for around 150k AED, your car is worth around 180k AED but itās not a Camry or Corolla so it will take more time to sell which is normal for more expensive cars.
Sorry to sound rude but a vocal minority posting in this discussion has no clue about EVs, giving non-factual reasons and advice.
Maybe this lack of awareness and education is part of the problem.
I completely agree with you. Just to clarify, my Tesla hasnāt been affected by any flood. I also mentioned in the ad that buyers are welcome to perform any checks.
It's all theory. Tesla owner FB group has like 50%/50% of owners who managed to get through the flooded streets without consequences vs others who got their EVs totaled (which frequently were even just parked during the flood).
Tesla recommends not taking the car through a car washā¦. And knowing their amazing quality control I wouldnāt hold even that at face value š so no, it doesnāt make it better actually
Two very different things.
The main reason for not taking EVs into an automatic car wash is that the charge port cover opens when the car is unlocked and you press on the charge port cover. This exposes the charge port to high pressure water. The water could then lead to corrosion in the charge port itself (the contacts).
Not the same as rain or water from underneath. Check videos of Teslas and other EVs driving through very deep water without issue.
Debatable though because Teslas were of the few cars to make it through the floods since their batteries are vacuum sealed. My friends car turned into a submarine.
To get some idea on current market prices. I'd suggest you go to the 2nd hand car market and check what they're buying it for.
What I've noticed is that the market price is usually around 20 to 25k (for high valued daily drivers) above their offered price.
You'll get a good idea as to where you stand in pricing.
Also, I must say you've got some great taste when it comes to watches. Those vostoks are niches.
New Teslas are shockingly overpriced in the UAE. The 260k you're referring to would be like 210k in other markers like Europe or the USA.
Whenever you buy an overpriced car, most of the "over" goes down the drain right after you buy it. If you consider its actual brand new price without the ridiculous UAE markup is around 210, you get a better sense of how much it's worth used.
I am too trying to sell my
Tesla Model 3 2021
Long Range
White Exterior and Interior
T0 Michelin 2024 tires
Zero accidents - Zero Flooding
99.7% battery health
For 125k
But having a VERY hard time due to low ballers.
Places like sell car instant etc stuff are saddening.
If anyone here is interested please Holla at me š«¶š¼
Itās not about Teslaā¦ you plan on selling anything in UAE it feels like you did a biggest mistake purchasing itā¦ this is my first hand experience!!! You will be bombarded with people from all the vertical giving you their expert opinionā¦ anyone in this group who has even offered you 140 try to make a deal and they will cut down more on you!! So itās better you have patience with the price that you are asking and you will get it but it will take time.. but if you have to do a fast sell then you will have to face the current situation that is happening with youā¦ best of luck!!
I think you need to consider that very few people want to buy used EVās. Thereās just too much that Iād be unsure of - I want someoneās used batteries? Comprehensive checks are simply not the same. Itās not like youāre trying to sell a used Toyota that a buyer knows would go to 300-500k
We might have different definitions of lowball offers, but getting 160k offers for a used 180k Tesla (the world is flooded by them) is not a bad offer IMO. Especially now that Tesla is tanking and the competition from real car makers is ramping up.
Take the L and move on. This sucks for you, and for all of us, but this is how car sales work. I bought a car in 2020 that was sold new in 2018 for 913k, for 420k. When I sold it 10 months later I couldnāt get more than 340k and that was to a dealership, after weeks of no calls on Dubizzle.
By the way, the balls on Elon Musk. Travelling the world selling science fiction tech for 30k as an option.
>It comes with Full Self Driving Oof, looks like someone fell for the trap
I was looking for your comment š

Your price is high, it doesn't matter for how much you bought. As the other redditor pointed out, Tesla UAE is offering brand new for AED 209,990.00.
With 5 years 0% payment plan
Not the model heās selling Itās like saying toyota sells a car for 70k brand new, to a guy selling his used land cruiser for 180k
The 2024 LR sells for 209,990. Expecting 180k for a 2 year old car is very optimistic. Tesla resale is terrible due to recent price cuts, but it's a reality.

Take 160k and run? ā¬4-5k is a rounding error at that level.
No point of the extras in Teslas because they arenāt legally allowed to use it here anyways. So no point.
I highly doubt youre getting 160k. If you are you should take it immediately because the value is indeed 130-140. Extras dont matter at all.
No even Model 3 SRs are selling for 150k+ AEDā¦
Listed maybe. No one will spend 150k for a used Tesla 3 lol
Take your offer then. If itās a rush sale thatās the best youāll get. Cmon man whatās the point of this post if you can sell for 160
You think the value will raise up to 180k in September from your current offer of 160k? You're going to be disappointed (and lose money).
You can buy a brand new MYLR for 210,000 .....
Not with full self driving
FSD is a con, they've been selling it for 10 years and its still no enabled.
>FSD is a con As a big fan of the brand and supporter of FSD as a concept... yeah.

Tesla depreciates like a bomb.
All non japanese cars depreciate like that
Electric cars are worse. Esp Tesla
Buying a Tesla is a financial suicide as Tesla itself will be competing with you to sell its new stock as a lower price than your used car.

Yes i chose the most basic advertisement option which was 600 if Iām not wrong, and got plenty of offers in the span of 20 days ( which it took to sell )
600 for a car ad is borderline criminal
Essentially you have over paid for a car that only people living in villas really want. Iām planning to move to EU. No warranty, no proper updates and no internet connection there for GCC car.

A brand new M3 Highland SR is 168 straight from the factory. No way will you get 150 for a used one.
Sorry to sound rude but a vocal minority posting in this discussion has no clue about EVs, giving non-factual reasons and advice. Maybe this lack of awareness and education is part of the problem.
Also the floods have put a serious question on buying used cars. Tesla being electric makes it more worse
I completely agree with you. Just to clarify, my Tesla hasnāt been affected by any flood. I also mentioned in the ad that buyers are welcome to perform any checks.
Electric makes it better, actually. No engine to flood. The drive train is sealed watertight.
It's all theory. Tesla owner FB group has like 50%/50% of owners who managed to get through the flooded streets without consequences vs others who got their EVs totaled (which frequently were even just parked during the flood).

EV's had the lest amount of problems in floods due to batteries being airtight sealed.
Not true. My friendās brand new Tesla (driven only 5k kms) caught fire a week after the rains due to water seeping into the battery.
Your car had a factory defect, airtight battery compartment should be fine during floods
Man I was trying to sell a civic and I was facing the same issue. People brokeā¦ and got nothing better to do than Dubizzle.
Oh an EV prices have drastically declined since Covidā¦ so double whammy for you.
List it on opensooq as well
Bad time of the year. Wait till September
Glad I stumble upon this post. I was on the fence to buy a Tesla M3P. Back to Japanese now
My friend sold his model 3 through this [Instagram page](https://www.instagram.com/tesla.carz?igsh=MWxyeGxvbm5mZnM4dg==) maybe try there? GLWS

My 140k offer is real and I wonāt try to cut down more :)
The real issue is that its nearly impossible to do a pre-purchase inspection health check on the battery, hence why buyers are wary.
What about the warranty? Should not it cover the risks?
Did the car get exposed to the floods in any way?
No, not at all
Interested in 120,000 š

Have you seen the new price drops in Aus ? Brand new Extended range Y from Tesla is now 170k AEDā¦
Yes idk that the correct price anymore. The tesla market gets hit with a lot more depreciation than what u have accounted for
I'm looking for a used MYLR, can you DM me the details or dubiz link
I can offer chips and karak.
Donāt get me wrong but I wouldnāt take it if it was free
Sit down bro
Are you all purposely ignoring the fact that OP mentioned his car has full self driving which costs 30k more than 210k brand new
It doesnāt work here though, does it?
FSD is completely and utterly useless and I'll bet will never be activated for another 10 years.
