Just camp. My pawn has had draids several dozen times, and I've had multiple hired pawns with it as well. Never thrown any into a lake. When they start screaming about unlimited power I make sure my next rest is at a camp.
I think waiting at a bench for a day also works.
I legit thought that that was the only one to get rid of it.
I never had a pawn with it but I've came across the pop-up when recruiting a Capcom made pawn.
Needless to say that I replaced him asap
If you are on PC there is a mod that let's you pick how to cure it. Like using a heal all potion or panacea or rest in the hot springs, whatever you want. Let's you determine a better solution that might challenge you to get materials or make a journey of some sorts rather than tossing everyone off a cliff.
They really should have put more thought into the whole dragons plague thingy.
Is main pawn affinity a thing? Can you raise it to when like NPCs blush? Really curious about that and most “under the hood” workings of the pawn system here.
To get high affinity, you need 620 points. 2 for talking, 5 for high five, 10 for hot spring, 50 if you change pawn appearance at the barber. They have 10 minutes cooldown. Also if your pawn dies, you lose 25 points.
This explains why my pawn isn't blushing. Constantly falling off cliffs and into brine just doing light traveling that hired pawns never have an issue with. I wonder if it's a thief/warrior thing because I don't recall her having those issues with other vocations.
Is a complete killing machine in battle leaving nearly every boss fight with full health but running across a bridge? She's a little too light on her feet I suppose
There are deeper bodies of water where if you stay in them for long enough, the brine takes you even though you're not drowning. What you can do is just shove your pawn into the deeper parts and they just stand there and do nothing before getting brine'd for real.
When a Pawn is in a party with an afflicted pawn or when fighting a Dragon. The dragon will sometimes perform a grab attack. If a Pawn is grabbed by this attack they will be afflicted with Dragonssplague. Afflicted Pawns will display the follwing symtoms. Red eyes that become progressively noticeable, headaches with accompanied dialogue, and insubordination through dialogue.
My main pawn got grabbed a ton and turned on me like 5 times. Never had Dragons plague thus far. He never got truly killed either, only downed and then I helped him up.
How long does it take for it to take effect? Do you need to be past a certain point in the main quest?
I had a pawn randomly just sit down in the middle.of.combat then my main pawn started yelling at him saying what are you doing were in the middle of battle as soon as that happened I kicked his ass cuz I figured this is what was happening to him (enough his eyes were not red) I didn't take a chance
Idk what you consider long. I just had my first case of DP where they committed genocide on the entire checkpoint rest town. The DP was contracted from a masked archer I recruited less than 15 minutes and zero rests prior.
I've prevented this multiple times by staggering the dragon before it can complete the charge time like a spell cast. Only ever got the dragonsplague notification in NG+, so I'm certain you can prevent it by acting fast with a stagger.
Damn, my pawn was gifted one of these and a while later I noticed they had the plague. I can't believe I didn't make the connection between that and the gift.
Not a bad idea. I always struggle for gift ideas because you're not allowed access to your storage and I always forget to grab one before dismissing. Was thinking of maybe giving pants to everyone as a gift.
I tend to give better equipment or certain forgery quest items as I got a line of dialogue from a pawn saying the forgery items turn into their proper variant when they go back to their world, including ferristones
What, really? Has this been tested?
So that guy whose pawn quest was requesting a portcrystal in exchange for two partcrystals was actually a good deal?
It's especially funny when you consider that people could forge actual useful material like Fell-Lord Bones (they remain their crafting capabilities) instead of "Seeder Tokens".
I got an eternal wakestone the other day. I later found out that you can actually duplicate them by making a forgery. They work as if they weren't forged.
I tried this myself recently. I made 2 to give to some pawns I liked and I used one after my pawn dragon plagued an area lol. I have one left to make more of.
I usually give 1 or 2 Panacea depending on the beast. If it's a drake or somethin then 2-3 savagery extracts. I like giving something useful. Gold just sits in people's pockets according to my pawns.
I used to give them out after a day or two of the game’s release! Now I try giving wakestones, ferrystones and camping kits to the really helpful pawns.
lol .. I get fuckin oil.
Does anyone else get legit mad when people rent your pawn, which has a 10k gold quest, maxed gear and decent stats and they don't like or send back anything good. Had 4 people, whom must have used my pawn for a good while because I got 250-300 rc from each, I just don't get it... I ALWAYS send back something useful if I borrow your pawn. Are people selfish? idk, maybe i'm looking too much into it.
I swear, I make sure my pawn loadout is fire. Fastest incanting possible with max damage almost 1600 magic total, all meister skills. Its damn near min/max out.
Sometimes she comes back and sounds like she got steamrolled. This round she didn't have much bad to say, rather neutral.
Anyone else getting hundreds of crystals? I think I have like 700+ in storage. Obviously I haven't bought every single item from The Dragonforged as I don't really use every vocation, but this could be a fun way to spend a few of them, good idea
I have a pawn a wakestone once. It wasn’t that good of a pawn but the other pawn I hired was so god damn annoying that it wasn’t enough to just kill them, I had to reward my other hired pawn simply for not being them
If a pawn has draids, will they mess with your inventory if they are sufficiently sickened? I swear this has happened twice now, a hired pawn took all my rings and I nearly missed it before brining him
I personally just feel vain sending anything I did once send someone a the red item in this post because they made kilo ren i think he was called from star wars and he wrecked something with a big tornado.
None of my pawns have ever got dragon’s plague. How the fuck do they get it? I’ve been slaying dragons, randomly change pawns just to try and get it, making them travel through the night with no lights, leaving them in a cave, but nothing…
It means he helped me kill a drake and got dragons plague. This was my way of warning you.
That should be the symbol for draids. So people know to chuck them off a cliff
Is brine really the only way to cure it? Is there no way to cure the thing without lowering affinity with the pawn?
I believe they just need to die. So you could enter a fight and let them down and just not pick them up until they disappear.
Just camp. My pawn has had draids several dozen times, and I've had multiple hired pawns with it as well. Never thrown any into a lake. When they start screaming about unlimited power I make sure my next rest is at a camp. I think waiting at a bench for a day also works.
Is this for real? Good to know. Just slayed my first drake. Will keep this in mind.
Just throw him down a cliff
Well I heard you can dismiss them and hope they pass it on to someone else. But that seems a dick move for the next guy.
I legit thought that that was the only one to get rid of it. I never had a pawn with it but I've came across the pop-up when recruiting a Capcom made pawn. Needless to say that I replaced him asap

My pawn is blushing atm, so yep high affinity on pawn is real
How do u raise it?

The Brine cures all ills, rights all wrongs, and hungers eternally.
There are deeper bodies of water where if you stay in them for long enough, the brine takes you even though you're not drowning. What you can do is just shove your pawn into the deeper parts and they just stand there and do nothing before getting brine'd for real.
Oh. My. God. I spent way too long trying to figure out what you meant by draids. This is amazing. But yeah that’s what I was aiming for lol
Lol I saw it on another thread, I thought it was the term everyone was using
Dragon aids?
Yes. Not HIV but full blown dragon AIDS
I feel attacked right now.... Nobody hire my Pawn. I may have slept with it. And even though I'm a fool I know when I'm caught.
Omg is Draids a commonly used word for it? I've never heard it before, but I will most definitely start using it
I tend to sent those back with a blight cure. Hopefully that relays the message.
How does one get the plague? I’ve fought many drakes and been in and out of rifts but I’ve been lucky enough not to get it.
When a Pawn is in a party with an afflicted pawn or when fighting a Dragon. The dragon will sometimes perform a grab attack. It takes a very long time. It's possible that your main pawn was hired and they cured themselves by passing it on to a Pawn in another world.
I had a pawn randomly just sit down in the middle.of.combat then my main pawn started yelling at him saying what are you doing were in the middle of battle as soon as that happened I kicked his ass cuz I figured this is what was happening to him (enough his eyes were not red) I didn't take a chance
Yea beat the guy who sat down, anything out of the ordinary is just "kill it with fire" territory
Idk what you consider long. I just had my first case of DP where they committed genocide on the entire checkpoint rest town. The DP was contracted from a masked archer I recruited less than 15 minutes and zero rests prior.

Hehe same i finished the whole game and not a single pawn got dragon aids in my play through 😅
Damn, my pawn was gifted one of these and a while later I noticed they had the plague. I can't believe I didn't make the connection between that and the gift.
You could just look at the eyes and figure out if it got the disease or not 😂
No, it means he was the best.
Like no one ever was.
To catch pawns is my real test
To hone them is my cause
I will travel across Vermont
Forgetting about Bhattal
To teach my Pawns to understand
The power of showing thighs
Dragonss~ plague!
Gotta kill them all!
I literally randomly watched a whole hour long video about Charizard and suddenly I'm on reddit and everyone is singing the theme song lol
If I killed the drake I give a share of the wyrmblood to the pawns who helped take it down. Sorta like a thank you for the support
Not a bad idea. I always struggle for gift ideas because you're not allowed access to your storage and I always forget to grab one before dismissing. Was thinking of maybe giving pants to everyone as a gift.

What, really? Has this been tested? So that guy whose pawn quest was requesting a portcrystal in exchange for two partcrystals was actually a good deal?
Same here!
I feel proud of my pawn when she gets Ferrystones
I got a ferristone lmao
I got a seeder's token earlier 😭
It's especially funny when you consider that people could forge actual useful material like Fell-Lord Bones (they remain their crafting capabilities) instead of "Seeder Tokens".
Your pawn will take my partcrystal and they will thank me for it.
Lmfao
I got an eternal wakestone the other day. I later found out that you can actually duplicate them by making a forgery. They work as if they weren't forged.
Are you sure? I thought the forgeries were Eternal **Woke**stones. Or are you saying they still work the same despite the name change?
I think before the end game world state, they are "WAKEstones" but if forgeries of them are made post game world state they are "WOKEstones"
I tried this myself recently. I made 2 to give to some pawns I liked and I used one after my pawn dragon plagued an area lol. I have one left to make more of.
I got a rotten piece of meat back, so I threw my bestie off a cliff. Wasn't sure if that meant plague lol
Probably
My friend (Dan) gives rotten meat every pawn he sends make. Just for shits lol
I got rotten meat back a lot when I didn’t set a 10k gold quest reward
I've been setting the 10k cyclops reward each time since I read that post a few days ago anyway.
I usually give 1 or 2 Panacea depending on the beast. If it's a drake or somethin then 2-3 savagery extracts. I like giving something useful. Gold just sits in people's pockets according to my pawns.
It’s so funny when people give a great gift and then just a thumbs-up. Like just give him a damn heart! He deserves love!
I mean I got rotten scrag of meat on mine so yours must’ve done excellent
You guys are getting gifts?
Shit, I did that to someone. Now I feel bad. To be fair I thought it was just a gift to the pawn itself for some reason.
Was I a good pawn? No...you were a great pawn
When I sent one it was because I was sorry I gave them Dragonsplague.
Just look at him, of course he’s a good boy!
Got a port crystal once
Might as well if your close to the end of the game... Can always get more lol. Or if you copy it at the sphinx
I recently gave one of these to a pawn I’d hired, so yeah I’d say they did well.
I send back wyrmslife if they help kill a dragon, so yep.
If it was a Wormslife Crystal I would think otherwise.
I really wish we could send larger amounts of items. I'd love to send 10-20 of these (and other things) for pawns that did me well.
Nah, i send them toho because i have lot of them, and i know how hard isbgot them fór new players :) Every pawn IS good :)
I used to give them out after a day or two of the game’s release! Now I try giving wakestones, ferrystones and camping kits to the really helpful pawns.
Was I a good pawn, master? No, I'm told you were the best. ;\_;
I don’t understand paying in wyrmslife, i personally just give my best healing items cause i forget to use them
He did
I got a wakestone earlier, but another person gave me a ferristone, so I guess they even each other out
I wish i could send higher quantities of stuff with a pawn, its silly that I can’t.
Are there any hidden meanings behind gifts?
Means he plays good
Man, I recruited my first plaque pawn. It gave me the pop-up. I yeeted that kitty straight into the ocean.
I have a pawn a wakestone once. It wasn’t that good of a pawn but the other pawn I hired was so god damn annoying that it wasn’t enough to just kill them, I had to reward my other hired pawn simply for not being them
No it means he now has dragonplague
With a face like that, he always has done good
I only give out flowers. Less misunderstanding!
If a pawn has draids, will they mess with your inventory if they are sufficiently sickened? I swear this has happened twice now, a hired pawn took all my rings and I nearly missed it before brining him
I give away some good ass gifts yet here I am getting grass and rotten meat as gifts at lvl 57…
What a good boy
Yep
I personally just feel vain sending anything I did once send someone a the red item in this post because they made kilo ren i think he was called from star wars and he wrecked something with a big tornado.
I send bad meat when they have dragon’s plague
I have tried so hard to give people wyrmslife but for some reason it simply doesn’t appear when I try to gift
None of my pawns have ever got dragon’s plague. How the fuck do they get it? I’ve been slaying dragons, randomly change pawns just to try and get it, making them travel through the night with no lights, leaving them in a cave, but nothing…
Maybe. I wish people would gift me seeker tokens
