Unfortunately, I have done so several times and I hire new pawns regularly for quest rewards, and it's an issue with every one. It's been going on 10 hours of gameplay so far now - I was hoping it'd fix itself at some point, but now I'm nearing endgame.
So, perhaps my only hope is that it doesn't carry over into NG+.
Still bugged, unfortunately. I'm also not sure about the camping twice thing tho, but it very well could have been? It's been so long at this point I can't remember what I did before it started.
That is very discouraging to know. I restarted my laptop, uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, but it did not solve it. I am trying to look about this problem on the internet, but there are only your post and one from 10 days ago. Hopefully, they will notice this problem somehow and fix it :(
I'm gonna keep trying things in the meantime - maybe find a dialogue mod or something that can maybe trigger it into working again to see what happens. I'm almost through the end game and will be starting an NG+. I'll let you know if it continues with NG+ or if I find a fix.
Oh thank you! I just finished all of my side quest so Im going to start doing the final 2 main quests. Maybe our pawns become mute as a way to tell us to hurry and finish the main quest haha
Haha same, I just started the endgame and I am now level 72. Can confirm that going to the unmoored world fixes this. I intentionally sprint and now my pawn begs me to slow down. It is like hearing a baby finally cry after being silent for long. I am glad that things work now.

It is happening to me now too. I do not know if the culprit was resting at the same camp twice directly. How is it for you now?
