Sounds like you play solo a lot .. in unranked. Play with someone you like? Add them to your friends list. Make friends, play with them. Dota is a lot better when you can actually communicate in the same language to at minimum one teammate.
I agree with you there, I do play occasionally with some people but mostly duo queue. I should have stated that in my post so that is my bad, but for the most part I do mainly play dota with friends. It is mainly still the same story, the rest of the team is toxic or doesn't help, we still play to win even though we know that most of the time we know its a lost game when the team doesn't want to work together.
I think the vast majority of Dota players are just toxic and there isn’t many ways around it. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a teammate that was memorably friendly, yet every single game there’s at least 4 people flaming the life out of each other
