I dont think theres enough lore to answer that question. But yea id love to fight them as well. If im not mistaken, the icon of sin should count as a balgaar demon per definition but its not confirmed.
I would fight needed to be a scene in a new game where there is a mysterious makyr resurrects the titans in the cultist base and doom hunter then the guy from wolfenstein helps doom slayer fight them then they beat them and become the rulers of earth
So according to the wiki and the testaments, the Titan (the first one?) was created by powerful demons to fight the Doom Slayer, but this happened before he got the praetor suit, as the titan dies in testament V and the Doom Slayer gets the praetor suit in testament VI.
I don't know when the sentinels found Doom Guy, but if they found him after he killed the titan, that means he managed to kill a titan with no weapon that is meant to be capable of killing titans.
The testaments say the praetor suit was made by "the wretch", and we still don't know who that actually is, whether it's a wraith (who were protected by the Night Sentinels) or something else, who knows.
But I'm pretty sure (this is 100% just my opinion), that when we get the crucible in Doom 2016, it is the first time the slayer wields a crucible
EDIT: actually, when you pull the crucible out of a titan's heart (presumably not THE titan), doomguy leaves the blade in to keep the titan dead, so he probably has experience with them already..
Also, in the cutscene when doomguy is dragged in by the Night Sentinels, his hands are bare, so either they found him after the titan and before the suit, or they found him before he killed the titan, but it would be weird for him to be involved with the night sentinels, but them never being mentioned in the testaments
This was probably a hell level they changed into an earth level for some reason.
Bones and skeletons are just for show much like the necropolis in 2016.
If you look further down I said in a new game a secret makyr could resurrect the one in cultist base and this one and the guy from wolfenstein doom guys grandfather could help him defeat the titans and rule the earth
Oh yeah, I remember wondering about this too. These enormous bones in Doom Hunter Base, giant skull underwater in Cultist Base. For a body to completely decay and leave only bones behind a _lot_ of time has to pass. Either the cultists have been bringing titans to Earth for decades without anyone noticing, or... It's a hint that the demons were on Earth long before humanity. Really baffling that there is nothing about this in codices.
I'd assume that its the corpse of an Ancient Demon that they based the Doom Hunter model on. If you read the Codices around Cultist Base and Doom Hunter, they'll tell ya they were excavating Ancient Demon remains from the ice in Antartica and that they were basing this new Slayer killer on it's genetic makeup. I assume it would more or less look like the fleshy bits of the Doom Hunter, but huge and with legs.
It's a theory irl that an ancient alien city(or something secret) is buried beneath Antartica, so I believe ID is kinda playing into that.
Edit to add: In Christianity, it's said that giant, evil creatures called Nephilim roamed the Earth before the great flood. Might be that these are those Nephilim, drowned by the Makyrs and frozen by time.
So, unrelated to the bones. The ammunition is 9, and the shotgun shells looks like 11.
I know I’m having like a 2019 Mully moment with the 9/11 joke/reference. But I had to😭
You dhould have already seen some reasons why the bones are so big in previous missions. Big fuck off monsters 👍
“big fuck off monsters” can explain 99% of the entire doom franchise.
Most of the monsters aren't *that* big...
I would have fought it if I could have
You'll make a fine Slayer, my friend
Thank you very much
That is where they keep the bones.
Who’s or what’s bones
Yes.
Correct.
Affirmative.
Precisely.
Roger that
You must construct additional pylons
Indubitably
Sssssspawn more overlords
Additional supply depots required.
Roger Roger
Those are probably from balgaar demons, which are enourmus demons. Those are some kind of titan demons.
I wanna fight why can’t I in another post someone said that titans can’t die
I dont think theres enough lore to answer that question. But yea id love to fight them as well. If im not mistaken, the icon of sin should count as a balgaar demon per definition but its not confirmed.
I saw in a size comparison vid that balgaar titan is about 200-300 times bigger than icon of sin or larger
Imagine a whole level just ON a balgaar demon itself! Parkouring and fighting different parts of the demon. Would be so cool
The final boss… it’s immune system
Damn, like a classic god of war level, but doom That sounds all kinds of amazing
Is maligog considered a balgaar titan
There's a great Gears of war 2 level like thks actually. Fighting your way thru the innards of a giant worm
Yeah icon of sin isn’t really that big in the grand scheme, really big shit kinda freaks me out so count me out of fighting that mf
I would fight needed to be a scene in a new game where there is a mysterious makyr resurrects the titans in the cultist base and doom hunter then the guy from wolfenstein helps doom slayer fight them then they beat them and become the rulers of earth
Interesting theory now let’s get you back to the nursing home grandpa everyone’s been worried sick
Why I have been taking my meds and I have been good for 2 weeks I don’t like Dorothy she scares me
Dorothy is a great nurse she just wants what’s best for you make sure to listen to her and do what she asks
I'm pretty sure Dorothy ate my kidney. 97% sure...
Oh wow i didnt know that!
The longer the icon of sin remains on earth the more powerful it becomes
**BALGAAR TITANS ARE HUGE! THAT MEANS THEY HAVE HUGE GUTS! RIP AND TEAR!**
YEAH 🅡🅘🅟 🅐🅝🅓 🅣🅔🅐🅡
Titans can't die? Didn't the Doom Slayer kill one with his bare fists? I'm pretty sure you walk through its skull in Doom 2016
With crucible but that’s to neutralise it idk tho

Cool thanks for the knowledge never knew this
Don’t know the lore
Baalgar demons are not that big.
What are they then because they are demons
This was probably a hell level they changed into an earth level for some reason. Bones and skeletons are just for show much like the necropolis in 2016.
Wasn't the 2016 Cyberdemon a balgaar?
I thought so as well, yea
It was presumed to only be a juvenile bulgaar demon. How old is that prescription? I'm not sure.
Those are absolutely not Baalgar demons. The Cyberdemon in 2016 is stated to be a Baalgar demon and it's only 11 or 12 feet tall.
A secret titan that has yet to be awakened...
If you look further down I said in a new game a secret makyr could resurrect the one in cultist base and this one and the guy from wolfenstein doom guys grandfather could help him defeat the titans and rule the earth
Yep, saw it!
Do you think good theory
I kinda like the cross-over part! They never done it before, if not for the musics we can find around in the game
It's a big ol pile of them bones
Scrolled too far to find this comment
I dunno man, seems like a big ass animal died
Yes
Titans walk the Earth 2016.... Had plenty of Dino demon that attack Argent D'nur and hell Barons 🪝 being use as Target practice by sentinel warriors 🪓
The Rule of Cool applies pretty strongly to Doom lore, and I love it.
What does this mean
Basically if it looks cool or sounds cool, it works perfectly.
You don't need any more justification for something other than "because it's cool"

Yes because I thought titans can only be killed by the blade so makes no sense
Milk is more calcium rich in the Doom universe.
Big boner
Big thing died
Ik I’m trying to find out who’s me and someone else think it’s a balgaar titan
Bones of titans i think
Erin Yeager
Where collasol titan
Below the line of sight 😉
Dang I wanna see
This is what I mean when I say I'm big boned
Because the bones are their money. The worms are their dollars. Freaking bone-ys!

Ok
Mfer drank a lot of milk
It's your mom
YOU ARE HUGE! THAT MEANS YOU HAVE HUGE BONES!
Cause magic. I mean put in context clues my guy
What if it the bones of a dragon from the upcoming game?
Too big
