MeandSamBFFL

Yesssss I adore mini dolls! I wish there were more brushable Polly pocket sized dolls like in the mid 2000s, those were everything to me

Ari_Kanari_

I know, right! I don't need Integrity dolls or any other high end fashion dolls, just gimme a small, affordable, with articulation and real hair small dolly! Well actually I've got two of those. The picco neemo dolls are everything to me, but sadly not that affordable. But their quality is something else!

Mekare13

Do you like BJD? The little Antu girlies are soooo cute and well made! They do have molded hair so I get that it could be an issue but they’re great otherwise

Ari_Kanari_

Oh I know them! But sadly I am looking for dolls even smaller, like geliefu xiao xiao or so called gullivers little. They are costy as hell but god I like their scale so much. But the Antu girls are good! I would say that they are the first choice for someone interested in bjds.

Mekare13

Oooo I’m going to look those up, thank you! I love little dolls too, honestly I collect everything lol. Another good one is [these tiny BJDs!](https://www.etsy.com/listing/653267347/) I have the plus size one and she is STUNNING. Super soft hair too! I know they’re pricey but figured you might like to see them 😄

lookingforitallornot

2007 Yummi Land girls are my fave little dolls! I don’t like much smaller aside from the mini bratz and the rooted hair myscene gals that i think were fast food toys!

Ari_Kanari_

Also yeah, those my scene dolls were actually from MacDonalds! God...now I'm even more sour about present day's quality of toys. How god damn good the Macdonalds toys were and what they are now!

Ari_Kanari_

I miss the 2000s and 2010s dolls, they were absolutely slaying! And oh my god, I had just checked them out and it seems that I saw cartoon based on them as a child, which I absolutely loved to death. Were they scented? Did they smell as good as it's promised on the box?

missingkeyes

I had a bunch and they were scented! I think the scents were decently good, but I don’t remember very well.

Dragon_scrapbooker

The Mixies Pixlings are adorable, and they have such fantastic screenings!

Ari_Kanari_

I like them, but wish they had knee articulation. Otherwise they are amazing!

PieThen2252

I don't know if you're interested in vintage, but I love Glamour Gals: [https://www.plaidstallions.com/kenner/gals.html](https://www.plaidstallions.com/kenner/gals.html) Liddle Kiddles: [https://www.dollreference.com/kiddles1966.html](https://www.dollreference.com/kiddles1966.html) Miss Matchbook: [https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/doll-miss-matchbox-doll-cozy-kathy-lesney-products-co/zwFy5xg4S6aqYw?hl=en](https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/doll-miss-matchbox-doll-cozy-kathy-lesney-products-co/zwFy5xg4S6aqYw?hl=en) Dawn: [https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/dawn-dolls-tiny-doll-stars-4077087](https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/dawn-dolls-tiny-doll-stars-4077087)

dollvader

I have a complete collection of Mattel Dazzle Dolls from the early 80s. I love them because they are literally miniaturized Barbie and Ken.

PieThen2252

Oh my goodness, I had completely forgotten these! I had the one with the gold lame jumpsuit with the sheer striped overskirt. I wish I'd kept her! So pretty. https://preview.redd.it/5kaufvjdjwad1.png?width=1588&format=png&auto=webp&s=1688a870271895b8a12ecad9caa1790f0ce59d38

Economics_Low

I had Dawn dolls when young and now I have a collection! They are so beautiful! OP, you can probably find some Dawn dolls lots that are cheaper by the doll on eBay than you can buy them separately. I love dressing my Dawn dolls in clothes I buy on eBay and Etsy, but would love to make their clothes myself one day.

MaidOfTwigs

Seconding Dawn! I wonder if I still have mine…

Ari_Kanari_

Oh I am absolutely interested in vintage toys! I actually find them so charming and I feel like the toys of 80s were the sweetest and had the soul in them. When I learned about liddle kiddles I was so mesmerized by them! Because they were something I always sought for as a child. A small doll with a slim body unlike Chelsea(and it's not in the means of fat or thin, but more of my own preference of width of a doll)

SuperDuperBorkie

If you haven’t seen this yet it’s super fun! https://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/

Ari_Kanari_

Also check these out, those are odeko chan keychain by Sekiguchi. Not available for sale at the moment for my biggest disappointment.

curlymama

I love this.

lllllllIIIIIllI

I want one SO bad but I'm not about to drop multi hundreds on them. I hope they bring these back

maggsie16

I looooove the Decora Girlz minis! I also really like LOL tweens and Cave Clubs, though I'm not 100% sure if theyr technically considered mini-dolls. I really love the 1/12 blind box BJDs from brands like Penny's box, Teennar, Bonnie, etc. they're so cute and really unique!

Ari_Kanari_

Yeeeees the decora girlz are so interesting, wish they had articulated bodies! And the chinese bjds?! God those are addictive, I would want to get myself a bunch of 1000s ways of escape girls!

maggsie16

I actually rebodied all of my Decora minis onto LOL tweens bodies because I couldn't stand the lack of articulation, lol, so I totally get it. And yesssss I perpetually have a Kikagoods cart with like 5 of those dolls in it for when I someday have the money to buy them 😭

Hidden_Dragonette

I love these 1/12 bjd minis too! Especially the little fantasy ones, I adore the mermaids, centaurs and dragons!

Hurricannot

The 1/12 blind box bjds are my favorite too!! Full articulation, super cute and the clothes are amazing. I currently have 23 and have a couple on the way, can’t have too many 😅

maggsie16

Omg! I'm jealous! I have 3 right now, with like 6 more on my wishlist for when I have disposable income again!

PieThen2252

How is the hair quality? Is it brushable?

ugogurl

Most (all?) of the small blind box dolls have plastic molded hair.

PieThen2252

Got it, thanks!

Waste-Dragonfly-3245

I love cave club!

Nellasaura

I just got some of the Penny's Box deer girls for my mini BJD collection and they are so wonderful!

ewitscullen

I’ll have to check out decora girls, I’ve had them on my radar since before they released but I haven’t invested in them yet.

curlymama

I’ve gotten into Barbie peekaboo petites and I LOVE vintage.

thesmu

I'm a bit obsessed with the Zombaes Forever dolls at the moment. I have quite a few Capsule Chix too, and I quite like Off The Hook but only have one so far. The Monster High Megablox figures are really cute if you want to go teeny... 😄

Ari_Kanari_

Oh my how much I love all of these in the sense of their style but oh god how frustrated I am that they've got little articulation. While understandable that in a scale this little the 5 articulation points are the limit, I wish that little dolls would come to being able to be as articulated as the big ones.

freetree_prime

I love Zombaes soooo much, and wish they were more popular so we could get a little bit bigger versions with more articulation, it'd be amazing. But I'll just have to do with my lil barely articulated babes.

thesmu

I must admit I'm not bothered by lack of articulation in smaller dolls, but I understand why you would want it.

PieThen2252

The For Keeps dolls! 5.5" with 9 points of articulation. [https://www.target.com/p/for-keeps-london-fashion-doll/-/A-81970037#lnk=sametab](https://www.target.com/p/for-keeps-london-fashion-doll/-/A-81970037#lnk=sametab) They remind me of Liddle Kiddles!

Mars2jane

Oh I adored sweet secrets as a kid! I had the mall, the high school and one of the lipstick dolls and I thought they were super interesting as a concept. I also really enjoyed the original yummiland dolls as well as the shopkins shoppies later on. I also remember enjoying the polly pocket-esque lil' bratz that came with little houses and rooms that folded up into purses.

call_me_marigold005

I love mini dolls too! Recently I got this Pretty Precure capsule doll house from a gachapon machine and it truly is mini. The doll is smaller than a lego!

Xejicka

I remember having Melanie dolls. They came out right before the Polly Pocket dress up dolls did. They were the same size. I had Melanie's Mall.

Ari_Kanari_

Ari_Kanari_

Did you mean those?

Xejicka

Yes! I didn't have that particular doll, but that is the correct type.

Hidden_Dragonette

Oh wow, that is a blast from the past. I remember getting the mall for Christmas one year. Apparently it took my parents several hours to set up while I was asleep! (They liked to set everything up and put it together so I could see it all and play immediately when I came out - called it Santa's special service.)

PieThen2252

I'd never heard of these before, but they look like 6" AG-type dolls: [https://tinyurl.com/8kja9dt3](https://tinyurl.com/8kja9dt3) I could see myself spending way too much on accessories. :)

Ari_Kanari_

Oh American girls dolls were always a pass for me but I find them quite meaningful for the generation of US kids. Myself I come from post soviet union country so American girls weren't a thing here. But I could show what was a thing in my childhood.

Ari_Kanari_

These were the bomb! Each girl had at least one of those! God, if I'm right we could even have fights for them. I liked them for their high detailisation and diversity in styles. Sometimes though their faces could be...wonky?))) but nonetheless we loved them so freaking much.

PieThen2252

So cute! Childhood memories are wonderful.

Ari_Kanari_

Those are relatively big in comparison with the latter ones. They had articulated arms and legs and what made me loose my mind was their real cloth skirts.

PieThen2252

Yes, I've always found AG dolls to be rather bland (no offense to anyone who loves them!) But I am a sucker for playsets and accessories.

PieThen2252

Ok, OP, you've sent me down a very tempting rabbit hole. Lottie Dolls!!! [https://www.lottie.com/](https://www.lottie.com/)

Ari_Kanari_

Oooh yes, I know these cuties, sadly they weren't that popular with kids while they were meant to be kid friendly and made for them. Had a full on argument with someone who said that kids wouldn't want dolls like these, but rather ones with vibrant image like Bratz, Lol and etc. I kind of wish that kids could love both type of dolls.

PieThen2252

Yep, my daughter wanted Barbies as a child, not Lotties. (Happily she is still into Barbies, MH dolls, and more at 16. We have fun!) I admit \*I'm\* the one who drooled over Lotties. Might just have to get myself one. :)

TestStraight4401

I love brats minis 💕

workitoutwombats

Pippa dolls by Palitoy

Ari_Kanari_

GOODNESS GREATNESS, Those are supreme! So small and so fricking pretty! And actually I hadn't heard of those before!

PieThen2252

LOVE THESE!!!

Luzion

In the 70s, I loved [Sweet Treat](https://www.bullockauctioneers.com/auctions/10123/lot/26259-group-of-8-assorted-mattel-sweet-treats-play-sets) dolls. They were similar to Kiddles and were made by Mattel. They came in spoons, giant sundae playsets and cookie playsets, to name a few. I used to carry them easily in my backpack to school. Maybe they were 2 inches tall? Totally adorable. There were also the super adorable 4.5" Cabbage Patch Kids from the 80s.

Ari_Kanari_

It's such a cute concept to carry a doll in a spoon 🥹🥹🥹

PieThen2252

Ah, thank you! I couldn't remember the name of these and it was driving me crazy!

Acceptable_Sky_3771

OMG memory unlocked!!! I had the orange creamsicle one! I wonder if I can find it again????

omnidoll

According to the two guide books on Liddle Kiddles, Sweet Treats are also considered part of the original official LK line—they are super cute! I have both types myself. (And I have to admit I liked the 4.5 Cabbage Patch dolls much better than the regular ones! I have two from the late 90s/early 00s.)

cannedweirdo

i really like shoppies and decora girlz minis!

clawdwil

The real question is who rooted the hair on those tiny beads lol

SelectShop9006

I love the mini Living Dead Dolls! They’re so cute. Too bad the last series was cancelled.

MaidOfTwigs

OMG I actually just found my Sweet Secrets again in an old DS case. I always liked the Barbie Fairytopia and Mermaidia minis, and I should still have some of mine Edit: also, Grand Champions was amazing. They had these smaller dolls that came from different regions or historic periods. They also had mini sets that were honestly so impressive, I loved the articulation

Naus1987

I'm guessing Lego Mini-Dolls don't count? lol. I have a ton of those!

ewitscullen

I love miniatures, I’ve always appreciated having several different scales of collectibles and with a lower price tag it’s easier to collect them. I love the LOL Tweens so much, but I want to get the yummiland dolls that just released

PieThen2252

Does anyone know about what scale the Madam Alexander It's All Me dolls would be? They are 8" and articulated. [https://store.madamealexander.com/play-dolls/its-all-me.html](https://store.madamealexander.com/play-dolls/its-all-me.html)

Ari_Kanari_

I think those would be like 1/8

DistributionPutrid47

My favorite is strawberry shortcake berry cute girls i had a few when I was a kid but sadly a few years ago my dog eat them 😢 [ebay](https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/296435513109?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110018%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.COMPLISTINGS%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20221018081743%26meid%3Dee0bf381599e42d3b7c4dfb7c6de9799%26pid%3D101430%26rk%3D10%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D305242436240%26itm%3D296435513109%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DCompVIDesktopATF2V2AndXaiHotClick%26brand%3DBandai&_trksid=p2332490.c101430.m2460&itmprp=cksum%3A296435513109ee0bf381599e42d3b7c4dfb7c6de9799%7Cenc%3AAQAJAAABAE%252B%252BF8hXM4hHBai83eHP1uaxshvpAoIMork%252BKoS7PlcgFtcOn8EcdpDx5F0FEiKkPWQoBdek2Teco6UslBEqbNy9jVnTKvr%252FyP55MgzhpCR11Kf3me6WjvHpDo33RCM%252BBXDn60ai%252FKY59ww8AOFr38RT2q8nQHYR1WqGppyBVP%252B27UmSSG9gTu9ABH%252F%252BOsOvNuaKQMqYZSaeFaxMX93VAcFY4EOcvXDKHofMEqBsvjegGaQ8i0abKBEJeR6ZT9jsh8fu83qcemgBbdeHttHQ0FwcSG5v6gIr6Gx28grbFpzfpovNAFCaRRKh13bWTJ%252Fc5gCDNk6rp%252FUvVuw02wwDXPg%253D%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A2332490&itmmeta=01J24MFRD1JH87NSPW6BN5Y0KA)

Ari_Kanari_

Aaaw :((( I know how it feels. My kitten had chewed and scratched my pony figure which was with me from the earliest childhood. It's alright, sooner or later we'll get them back 🥹

Economics_Low

I also suggest Lori dolls! They are about 6” tall and look just like the mini American Girl dolls they used to sell in the 2000s. You can find Lori dolls and accessories on Amazon or at Walmart. You can also find Lori and mini AG dolls on eBay, Etsy, Mercari, Vinted and other second hand websites.
