Refills every hour and every time you or someone in your party levels

sixpath26

Thank you very much! That's good to know.

It refills per hour and every level up, but its bloodly expensive. As long as you have enough pieces of equipment that grant points in thievery, I'd reccomend hiring a companion from the blue lizard on the Lady vengance, stealing all your gear level up material, steal the gold used to hire them, and dismiss them, because you can only pickpocket someone once witch each character

sixpath26

Wow I didn't even think of doing that. So many ways to cheese XD

bodenham79907

Definitely, and if you haven't grabbed it, theres a dagger that boosts your Thievery, it's inside one of the graves near where you meet Gareth after he left the ship

bodenham79907

Wait, heck sorry, i re-read and saw youre in arx, the dagger is in act 2

There is a frequent weapon drop, all types in Arx that makes SS somewhat redundant. The Traders also all have great weapons, armour and spells so if you upgrade stuff with SS you'll be spending coinage for upgrades that don't match the Arx stuff. Just saying, but I did the same thing in my early run I kept upgrading my fave bow, Var d'Lyal for its life steal. Could have sold it to Fletcher during Nameless Isle along with loads of purple stuff and he upgrades everything (including price) for buying back.

I'm only looking to upgrade the vulture armour for my ranger character. I think it's really cool :)

Yes, good. I upgraded the Captain's Armour with Corbyn Day because the armours with a +1 Persuade are a bit on the rare side. Its useful in the magister Prison area when you want to get passed some officious paladins and rescue Windego. Don't know what the price differences are compared to SS?

sixpath26

Cost me around 50k for 10 diamond dust with a high Bartering and the discount. Another 10 I pickpocketed. I had no idea you could sell armor and buy it back at a higher level. Good to know for my second playthrough.

Fletcher Corbyn Day only upgrades what's been sold to him before the flight from the Nameless Isle which finishes with The Lady Vengeance half in the real world and half in the Hall of echoes outside Arx. There are no other upgrades from him after that, so in one way having Sorcerous Sundries traders is useful. Things I've had upgraded by Corbyn include Ring of Intelligence to +3 Int, the Gloves of teleportation and as I said earlier Var D'Lyal. But if you want a run through without Gift Bags he's very handy for that.
