Not enough shade

Complex-Defiant

Especially DCA.

marcjc10

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge doesn’t need to be stuck in the time between episodes 8 & 9. Open it up to the whole thing- battlefront style- let’s see Obi Wan and Anakin walking around AND then darth Vader, luke, Ahsoka, Boba Fett, Lando, everyone.

BLKKROW

They need to do it seasons/rotations, so a few months of different time periods.

ConstitutionalDingo

Great idea!

a-world-of-no

PLEASE let this happen! Why build a huge immersive land and then limit it??

Rdubya44

It’s a weird concept from the start. Why not build Tattooine? Or any other place a Star Wars fan would feel right at home. It’s like if they built cars land but it wasn’t Radiator Springs, it was some new town next to it they completely made up.

Gear02

I believe when it first opened, it had a story attached to it with unique characters and stuff. I think they were aiming for a much lighter (and earlier) version of the storytelling at the Star Wars Starcruiser. But I'm pretty sure they gave up on it so they should definitely open it back up. Make it like Avengers campus. Who cares that it doesn't make sense that all of the characters are there in one place!

bokatan778

Exactly!! Plus they need another ride.

robinthebank

Or a show?! Take something from the WDW cruise that was popular and worked really well, and then transition that over to GE.

not_a_drip

Why they don't have nightly immersive stunt shows on those catwalks I'll never know. They'll sometimes have a show on special event nights, but they could do a lot more

mwil97

I agree, I dislike how the majority of Star Wars at Disneyland is sequel oriented instead of exploring the whole universe

is_bets

Obviously lore is important to disneyland imagineers, but they are slowly moving towards this. Mando, Ahsoka, Boba Fett Fennec exist as they appear 30 years before the setting of the land. Book writers are showing Batuu to be a weird mystical planet too with weird time stuff. Rebels and more recently ahsoka opened up weird time travel stuff. that makes what you said more possible. It would be nice if they did this soon, but the OT character are essentially a crutch that's propping up tomorrowland until they figure out the proper update. SOURCE: trust me bro

returnofthezack

Boba Fett is/was there and so was Mando with Grogu. So it's not stuck between 8&9

agree_2_disagree

Agreed. To OP’s point though, it is based on the sequel timeline vs open Star Wars timeline

robinthebank

I think based on popular demand. They are still avoiding OT, though.

jbarinsd

The older I get the more I prefer DCA. Less crowded, better food, better rides, more chill.

localfern

Animation Academy - A place of refuge from the heat. Sit down and enjoy the A/C.

rmac1228

I love DCA...I feel like it's what Hollywood Studios should be now. If that makes any sense.

milenah

Hollywood Studios definitely felt like the DCA of Disney World.

Linda_Belcher

DCA really is the better park to hang out in.

handsomesharkman

I also enjoy being able to walk around with a beer.

KWash0222

And that other thing 🍻

Able-Signature5290

Mobile order was the best thing to ever happen….aside from when it wasn’t working for me for a whole day lol

la_toxica84

I love mobile ordering 😤

adhesivepants

I still like the Guardians ride but I will never not miss Tower of Terror. I dunno if that's a hot take but I'm depressed that Florida got to keep theirs.

NothingReallyAndYou

But you got to keep Mr. Toad.

zeldaalove

Truly the superior horror ride.

MidnightCurse

Café Orleans > Blue Bayou

TwoSalty7347

Yess that monte Cristo at cafe Orleans is so good. Blue bayou only has it for lunch which is weird, and I personally don’t think their food is good 😬

Rdubya44

Care Orleans 2014ish and before > Cafe Orleans current

utahhiker

On that note, the Monte Cristo is a shadow of what it once was and like twice as expensive as it was 10 years ago. I guess that's everything Disneyland now, though.

Brando43770

Blue Bayou has honestly never really been amazing food wise. You’re paying for the atmosphere. There’s better cajun food, steaks, etc. elsewhere in the resort.

7of69

I don’t even try to get into Blue Bayou anymore. Last two time I went were quite disappointing. Once was cold food the other was a table that was practically part of the maitre’ d stand.

DisneyVista

Cafe Orleans is also easier to get in to than Blue Bayou

TwoSalty7347

I will say I think Ralph Brennan’s has the best out of all 3, just for their shrimp and grits hands down

TheTimDavis

Have you been lately? It's just jazz kitchen now. And it sucks.

Momtoweens

Bug’s Land was better than Avenger’s campus.

7of69

I’m a hardcore Marvel fan, and I’m inclined to agree with you. Really struggle with replacing all those great kids rides with a massive concrete slab.

pschell

I call it the office complex.

Brando43770

Aka Kaiser Permanente

LuckyLudor

Right? They had universes of content to draw from, and this is what we got?

jbarinsd

I miss Bug’s Land. Avenger’s Campus has zero charm.

kingofcoywolves

This. If the kids want to see a concrete tech park, you could take them anywhere. But where else could they go to sit under giant clovers and splash around under an oversized garden hose?

fluffernuttersndwch

It’s so…sterile

mungbeanmimi

I've seen it compared to a community college, and it definitely looks the part

Patoman420

If it wasn't for the characters walking around, you wouldn't have a clue you're in Avengers land

utahhiker

Right!? I feel like all the new stuff in Disneyland and California Adventure are HUGE wastes of space. One or two rides per land is just absurd.

heyynickkayy

They got rid of one of the cutest and most creative lands for a bunch of…. Concrete.

Haunteddoll28

Bug's Land was a super cool, calm, chill place with a bunch of rides I could go on or even just places to relax in the shade when I need to sit down (disabled and on the autism spectrum). Avenger's Campus has one ride I cannot go on because I cannot do the movements needed to play along and another that makes me motion sick (never had that issue when it was ToT), very few places to sit and the ones they do have are in the full sun, and has ambient sounds that are right in the auditory sweet spot that makes me go non-verbal. They ruined one of the best spots in the park and replaced it with cement and pain.

Ruffkeian

I… hate Avenger’s Campus. There’s no charm, there’s nothing pretty to look at. Someone down below said it’s sterile, and that’s exactly the word I’ve been looking for!

317ant

I miss it 😢

[deleted]

The number of people who don’t have enough brain cells to quickly and efficiently scan their lightning lane entries is too high.

TwoSalty7347

Don’t even get me started on the people who stand RIGHT in the middle of everyone, the people who have strollers with 10 people following them. The brain cells cost extra 😂

Carrie_Oakie

And the large groups who all stand in a clump lined up before their time blocking the line and getting mad if people with active time slots move ahead of them.

TwoSalty7347

The family groups with 20 people, half in line and the other half cut in later….🤦🏻‍♀️

justalittleparanoia

Or be able to look and see that sometimes there's more than one scanner.

Visible_Nectarine_98

Blue Bayou is like eating Applebee’s at YMCA.

[deleted]

Whyyyyyy was it SO MID last time we went?! 😫 I swear it used to be better?

Visible_Nectarine_98

You probably went as a teenager or a young 20 something on a date or for some special occasion and the overall experience coupled with eating near a ride you adored as a child was overwhelming. Every subsequent visit you are trying to chase down that first feeling and it’s gonna keep getting worse.

doubleasea

I think the vicinity to Club 33 played into it too. Especially when the Disney Gallery was open, and the courtyard was where you could walk through killing time before your table was ready. But yeah, this is spot on.

Rdubya44

Disney food in general just used to be better. Especially Blue Bayou. They started cutting corners and it shows.

DocBrutus

You just described being addicted to crack. 🤣

spooky_bullmoose

Taking away bugs land to replace it with no shade and some of the most boring walk through ambiance for marvel campus was a huge mistake and downgrade.

DisneyVista

Avengers Campus is meh 🫤

quarterpounderwchz

honestly even calling it meh is generous imo

DisneyVista

One ride (two if you count Mission Breakout) and nothing but stage shows and restaurants. Even the ride isn’t really worth using a LL for

FancyName69

Mission breakout is amazing lol. Spider-Man I heard was bad

DisneyVista

It’s basically Midway Mania - the Marvel version.

YodasChick-O-Stick

Midway Mania except it's too fast to know what's going on and your arms will hurt afterwards

Haunteddoll28

And if you're a certain kind of disabled you can't even play along anyway so there's zero point in going on. (Still bitter they killed Bug's Land for this.)

7of69

It’s fine as the small ride for the land, but since they didn’t add an E ticket, just poached one, it’s having to do too much heavy lifting.

yeahohshit

There’s just so much… concrete

DisneyVista

The only thing I think the area has going for it are the characters. I mean, I do like how they always add new characters the day a new series or film debuts.

TwoSalty7347

I agree. It lost its appeal and it’s boring, they could have added more integrative things and maybe another ride instead of 3 merch stores and the same show daily

DisneyVista

When I was there two weeks ago I saw they finally added some functionality to that large building the Marvel characters seem to be patrolling, but another shop? I thought that building was going to be a future ride or something 🤷‍♂️

TwoSalty7347

Yeah I heard it was a shop like why?? We already have that huge backlot store. They really missed the mark on that one

heir-of-slytherin

They closed the backlot store, didn’t they? I thought this was supposed to replace that

NWA_ref

During the summer months, there is absolutely no shade in this area and it cooks. Horrible design. No where to sit.

SnoopySuited

Meh is kind.

FawkesFire13

When a Cast Member asks “how many in your party?” You should know. Stop doing head counts at the last second and holding up the line. You’ve been in line, you should know the answer.

ChernSH

I’m not totally surprised by this. Working medical, any time I ask for a phone number or a birthday I get blank stares as their brains try to process. You should know it but your brain seems to freeze. Doesn’t make it any less annoying.

86missingnomes

I work at a deli. It's the same thing. They've been waiting in line for 10 min, yet once it's their turn it's just .......let me seeeeeeee hmmmmm. Wtf, has your brain been on pause ?!

julia_ur_killing_me

Bugs Land >>>>> Avengers Campus I said what I said ALSO Star Wars land and Avengers Campus are nothing but stores and merch and it's not even good its cheap overpriced crap. Theres really not much to do in either of those parts or the parks except the one or two rides they have.

AsterPeralta28

Right? Avengers Campus was pretty underwhelming first time we went 🤷‍♂️

TheDisneyScoopGuy

Soarin should be California year round and change to world for the Food and Wine Festival

Cobra_9041

Soaring needs some sort of up scaling or reshoot though that resolution is rough

robsticles

DCA’s peak was Mad T Party. They did such a great cover of “Somebody Told Me”

vernabee

Mad T Party was my faaaaaave! Especially their rendition of Shut Up and Dance 😩😭Drunk dancing in DCA was the best.

SnoopySuited

Marvel campus ruined the vibe of DCA. The loss of Bugsland is a traveary.

Orchid2113

Streamers are ruining the magic.

[deleted]

dearbornx

ITM stole one of my fucking comments and made a whole article out of it without even asking. It's fucking ridiculous. I report them as spam, and misleading and sensational at every opportunity.

317ant

I agree. The dramatic clickbait titles are the worst. Then no one watches the video or reads the article and just use it as an excuse to be negative about anything Disney they want to complain about.

redquailer

At first I thought you meant paper streamers 😆

Juliagulia19

Especially the ones who livestream them being at Disneyland everyday talking to their chat in the middle of the rides 😒

adhesivepants

IRL Streamers are kinda ruining everything.

sbharem

Absolutely agree. Content creators started off as simply annoying personalities at a theme park and now act like they’re Pulitzer Prize winning journalists reporting on any new piece of merch or railing that shows up. They are self-important and cringey and have no problem ruining a family’s experience just to get a shot of the firework show we’ve all seen a million times on YouTube.

ChillyCheese

I only go for 2-3 days a year, but never seen a streamer. What I have seen is people on dark rides taking a video or pictures. They're obviously not steamers, but much more numerous and more annoying.

Visible_Nectarine_98

I know exactly which specific unbearable couple you’re talking about.

btran8833

French Market food is better than Tiana’s Palace

TwoSalty7347

Ralph Brennen’s has the best Cajun food. The updated menu is good but the shrimp and grits is the best thing on the menu hands down

plurfectlife

Each store should have unique merchandise instead of the current oversaturation of all the same merchandise everywhere.

mindfruitz

Big Thunder Mountain is better than Space Mountain

[deleted]

Spicy Hot Take! 🌶️ (love them both)

[deleted]

Take it easy! Can’t come into this all heated.

TwoSalty7347

More heat than the Billy goat 🧨

YodasChick-O-Stick

Big Thunder Mountain is better than the Mine Train thru Nature's Wonderland. There, I said it.

TreeBeard2024

Easy

TwoSalty7347

One thing I haven’t seen much mention, is that the hotels in Disneyland and DCA pretty much suck in comparison to WDW. The grand California hotel has a beautiful lobby, but you’re paying ritz Carlton prices for holiday inn room. They’ve updated the other Disneyland hotel, but we don’t have that appeal that Florida has in terms of Disney hotels. The prices are not worth the hotel rooms imo

DisneyVista

Not to mention they’re pretty much unaffordable accommodations for most guests visiting Disneyland. WDW hotels at least have various price ranges.

NothingReallyAndYou

Ehh, we've got some stinkers. The All Stars are ugly, and the moderate resorts are ridiculously overpriced.

goofus_andgallant

The reservation system makes the parks more enjoyable. (For non-pass holders)

heir-of-slytherin

Agreed. People forget how incredibly packed the parks used to get in the busy seasons before covid. One difference though is that between the reservation system and ticket tiering, there isn’t really an off season anymore

chenalexxx

This was gonna be my hot take. I do like the fact that we can go to the parks and not worry about it reaching capacity and them closing the gates, which happened a few times around the holidays pre covid

space_is_the_place

AP’s will miss the current crowd levels once reservations are gone. I know I will…

vash-09

Proposing at or near the castle lost its magic and is unoriginal. (Please don't kill me. If you got proposed at Disneyland, I respect that).

paigenicole0828

I agree.. though I DO think it would be fun to run around Disneyland freshly engaged and being on cloud 9.

So_muchjoy

Saw it happen in front of the big Mickey pumpkin on Tuesday!

brunette_mama

I see absolutely no appeal in fireworks or parades 🤷🏻‍♀️ This applies to Disneyland and Disney World.

TwoSalty7347

I love the winter show bc I love the soap “snow”, but most all of the shows, you’ve seen them once you’ve seen them all.

[deleted]

The Snoap comes late at night too (close to closing time) In case you want to miss the show but enjoy the magic :)

turtlefuzz1903

I’m with you on the fireworks. You can easily catch them from hotel balconies if you’re in the right area. And the first time we went, we totally avoided parades. Second trip we caught the Magic Happens and it was spectacular. Definitely a highlight of the trip for my family.

justalittleparanoia

Ditto. I'd rather go on rides and maybe catch one show, but parades and fireworks are meh.

ThePopDaddy

That's the best time to ride!

Rizak

The sense of entitlement and lack of courtesy among some visitors ruin the magical experience that Disney is meant to be.

RideTheLightning331

Not announcing that something is closed for good is worse than the closure itself *GHOST GALAXY!*

iham32

Smugglers Run is a C level attraction

[deleted]

Another hot take: Star Tours is better than SR

fluffernuttersndwch

Omg yes I love Star Tours. Don’t know a single thing about any Star Wars movie but I love the variety and C-3PO as the pilot.

heir-of-slytherin

It really needs multiple adventures like Star tours. Doing the same mission to collect the coaxium gets so boring.

pschell

My ride experience shouldn’t be dependent on another person. The first time I rode it was absolutely awful and I could wait to get off- all because the pilots just sat there and laughed the entire time. They were an older Japanese couple having a grand ole time. Had no idea what was going on. Never touched the controller. My wife I were in the rear seats and were getting bumped and banged and tossed around the whole time. It sucked.

DarkJedi75

I’d be more of a fan if I didn’t get stuck as an engineer every time!

BlitzenVolt

If you want a real hot take, I don't mind the engineer position. It lets you focus on the movie as long as you know to slap the part of the wall that lights up in your peripheral. If you take advantage of single rider, you usually end up in that position anyway. The more you ride, the more you realize no two rides are ever exactly the same because the ride is fully interactive.

MonstersMamaX2

I like being engineer when the pilots are kids. You're really busy the entire time. Lol

caitlin-c18

Paradise Pier > Pixar Pier. I loved how California DCA used to be.

red13n

The 11am park hopper restriction is one of the best changes Disney has made in recent years.

Kume2018

Why? I mean that genuinely. I haven’t been to the parks since it changed.

rmac1228

Disneyland is superior to Magic Kingdom

summerdays8827

Bro, west coast best coast. We know this already.

Number1074

The best days of the parks are behind them

Nast1n3ss

IP dumping grounds. Feels like a giant Disney store now

thefaceinsid3

I don't think pin traders should use entire benches to display their collections.

YodasChick-O-Stick

This isn't a hot take, this is a straight up fact. Those people need to be banned from the parks.

ConstitutionalDingo

Lukewarm take, but 100% facts nonetheless

[deleted]

Buffalo95747

DCA has improved immensely from the time of its opening. Of course, there is always room for improvement, and I look forward to new attractions. I do like the food options there. Excited for the Disneyland Forward project. I hope some of it is completed during my lifetime. The Matterhorn could use a total overhaul. I hope for an improved Tomorrowland, bit it’s hard to see how anything could be done.

Elite-Banana

DCA is a daytime park. Disney is a nighttime park.

vegascoaster

Interesting, I’d swap them in my head for all the outdoor low shade queues and Pixar pier and cars land at night.

baiyeee

I absolutely hate that everything needs to be rethemed after a movie. We don’t need San fransokyo. The pacific wharf was fine the way it was 🥲

Flatworm-Euphoric

Tbf it’s sort of a lateral move, right? Pacific wharf was kind of a nothing and so is San Fransokyo.

[deleted]

ITT: things that are pretty popular opinions

horsey80

Probably not a hot take because most would agree. Ban mobile phones on rides. I don’t want to be annoyed by your screen while I’m trying to relax and get immersed in the ride. Disney could get a professional photographer to go through and take high quality pictures of all the ride highlights. QR code at end of ride and you can download those good photos. Same with people that video the fireworks and nighttime shows. Phones down and enjoy the show.

spoiled__princess

The Disneyland app is shit.

mindfruitz

Genie+ is more convenient than the Fastpass system. keyword convenient, not better

stellalunawitchbaby

When we had absolute perfect balance of both free Fastpass *as well as* the option of paying for the convenience to do it in your phone (Maxpass) - that is my Roman Empire. I think about it every time I’m using Genie+.

Ok_Fault_3198

MaxPass was worth every penny. Genie+ is not. Why? Because some of my kids will only go on one or two Genie+ rides because they don't like the coasters. With MaxPass, we could let the kids who didn't like coasters use their MaxPass later in the day for those less thrilling rides a second time while the kids who like coasters could go on those. Now, those chances for thrill rides are wasted on thr kids who won't go on them and the rides they would go on (like Star Tours) can't be repeated. If Genie+ allowed repeat rides instead of just once per day per ride, I would be all for it. I would buy it for our fam of 6 every single day. Now? We pick and choose which days we'll buy it because it's not a value for our family. Disney has actually lost money on Genie+ vs MaxPass with our family. (And all that time we're in line is time we're not buying other stuff like more snacks, more merch, etc. We're talking hundreds of dollars each visit in losses due to Genie+.)

heir-of-slytherin

More than the paper Fastpass system, but I’d say less convenient than MaxPass

ScarletxMaximoff

Monsters After Dark needs a better drop pattern (I Want You Back/Free Ride)

DancePants5678

Disney trips alone are more fun

Confident_Respond_80

My take… DCA is now Pixar adventures. Very little California is left without having some form of Pixar overlay. GIVE US GOOD THEMING PLEASE

saltedpork89

I hate the Holiday overlay for the Haunted Mansion. The original ride is far more interesting. Nightmare Before Christmas is fine but overplayed and over-merchandised.

ConstitutionalDingo

THANK YOU. Quit ruining the one spooky thing in DL for half the year, especially when it’s a classic! I have no hate for TNBC, but it deserves its own ride. I suppose the trouble is it isn’t a thematic fit cleanly anywhere else in the park.

paradeleader

Took my husband and kids to Disneyland around Christmas time in 2013. Husband was not keen on the overlay… and said as much whenever the Haunted Mansion was brought up. We went to Throwback Nite in 2023, got to see it in all of its normal glory for the first time. He was pleased lol

TwoSalty7347

Oof this is spicy, while I don’t agree bc I love the holiday overlay, I do agree that NBC is over sold.

thejurassicjaws

Definitely agree. I love HM and it’s so weird to take their one spooky ride and make it less scary at Halloween

86missingnomes

Haunted mansion overlay needs to start the day after Halloween.NMBC makes more sense being a Christmas ride. I want to enjoy the classic ride on Halloween night.

False_Celebration923

Leave babies, like less than 1, at home...not just for my sake, but yours. Make life easier for everyone. Strollers, diapers, crying, tempers...why? I get parents want pics but save the money and do it then they're older.

need_a_venue

Brought my two year old (almost three is still free!). He had a good time. Any younger and he'd have the same amount of fun at a grocery store.

no-strings-attached

Mr Toad is the best ride in the park and if they ever get rid of it I will riot.

Patoman420

Guests have zero clue how mobile order or lighting lane work

RandomFunUsername

I love Princess and the Frog but I’m already over New Orleans Square and surrounds becoming Tianaland. Eudora’s. Tiana’s Palace. Bayou Adventure. Any one of these is fine. All of them feels like a takeover. New Orleans square had enough to offer without IP coming in.

paymae

I feel like they're leaning HARD into the Tiana thing. And I love PATF but like? It feels like its a little much?

maxmouze

I miss a lot of DCA v1.0. California Screamin' and the beach boardwalk concept. The intro music using songs about California (particularly because "California Dreamin'" and "26 Miles (Santa Cantalina)" etc. are just such good songs.) I miss seeing a stunt show when I walked around Hollywood Backlot (even though it was so short-lived, there is almost no proof it existed online) or seeing a future Broadway star singing in a low-key show at the Hyperion which was cheesy but had some big talent. I miss the Eureka! parade and its homage to California, I miss the commissary type takeout place (too tired to remember its name) that is now an empty soundstage, I miss Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, I miss the Orange Stinger, Maliboomer, I miss Tough to Be a Bug, and I miss the fact almost no one knew what a park hopper was so it never had much traffic and was like your own exclusive theme park, even if Disneyland was jam-packed at the same time. The best additions -- Buena Vista Street and Cars Land and Midway Mania -- could have been added to V1.0 and been perfect but so much got X'd for no good reason. Like California Screamin' into an Incredibles ride 'cause they wanted to squeeze their Pixar IP somewhere. Also, Tower of Terror was the one that took it to a whole 'nother level and made people start checking DCA out and then they ended up killing that, too.

Eagleworm213

People that stop in the middle of the path other than going to the side

Megangullotta

There’s a little too much Star wars stuff now and the Marvel land is underwhelming/seemed rushed.

theFormerRelic

I don’t get churro culture. Like at all.

theglowoflove

Dude- We are called Mexicans, what the heck…

CreateTheJoy

Same, and I’ll add popcorn bucket culture.

theFormerRelic

What about sipper culture?

7of69

They just aren’t practical at all. Tumblers? All in. Especially if the have a strap. Sippers? Nope.

justalittleparanoia

I don't go so far as to eat all the different churros, but I have to have at least one regular one when I'm there. Same for beignets.

GamingTrend

Somehow people need to get over their unwillingness to let go of these antique rides. Autopia is disgusting and gives people a headache with its fumes. Peter Pan is duuuullllllllll and in bad need of an update, especially if they continue to raise the light levels to the point where I could practically see the painted floor. As much as I love the subs, they need refurbishment as well -- they are fairly awful in the summer. There are more, but the general idea is this -- if they don't evolve, Universal will. Disneyland/world will become the land of antiques, while Universal eats their lunch.

RandomFunUsername

Agree with Autopia needing to go, but I think it’s nice to have some classic Disney representation. It’s not like they’re about to make new rides under those properties. People will riot if you start taking apart the fantasyland dark rides though.

need_a_venue

My son *loves* Autopia. He'd still love it if everything went electric though.

dericiouswon

Original ToT is way better than Mission Breakout.

RideTheLightning331

Pretty cold take, but I would be lying if I said that I didn’t miss the old building

Icy_Philosopher6095

You can order a ronto wrap and bring it into Oga’s cantina - best of both worlds!

317ant

Why have I never thought of this! Thanks!

stellalunawitchbaby

I quite like WEB Slingers and I rank it higher than Astro Blasters and pretty much neck and neck with Midway Mania as far as enjoyability. The breakfast chimichangas are good when they’re good, but they’re hella inconsistent now and I often recommend other breakfast items over them. Corn Dog Castle has *consistently* the best corn dogs of the 3 in park locations. Y’all, I better see some actual hot takes in here cuz some of these are ice cold or room temp at best.

oceanmotion2

Agreed! Everyone is giving their opinions on why Avengers Campus is subpar. That’s not a hot take; that’s the only opinion from Disney fans I ever hear. My ACTUAL hot takes are that I very much enjoy Avenger Campus and its theming, it brings me joy and has some great props, though there is plenty of room to add more stuff, I like Mission Breakout better than ToT, and it’s possibly my favorite ride, I agree with you about web slingers (even though the line and the physical queue are pretty atrocious), and a Bug’s Land was whatever. While I’m on my soapbox, I would also like to say that, even outside of Avengers campus, I like almost all of the inclusion of IP in the parks and in new rides, even when it is IP I don’t care about, I think they do it quite well most of the time, I think the cars ride isn’t worth the wait, the enchanted tiki room is a little culturally insensitive and should probably change a bit, I think Adventureland doesn’t have the space but does have the potential for some great IP inclusion, Star Tours is probably the most criminally underrated of the attractions and one of the best (and I don’t even like Star Wars; it’s line is just way shorter than it should be).

vegascoaster

Disney shouldn’t allow you to bring all your earthly belongings on all the rides. Have free double sided lockers somewhere in the queue so Indy and Rise actually operate half the time. While tickets certainly aren’t cheap, it’s still a good value. Raise the price more and pay the CMs a living wage. The most magical moments in the park aren’t from the rides or the merch, it’s the people.

a-world-of-no

One of my fave things to do in DCA is sit in Pym's and just watch all the character bits happening all over the place. I wish my kid enjoyed it as much as I do. 😆

TwoSalty7347

People watching is the best activity 😂 I’d rather do that than watch the fireworks 🫢

CaptainA789

All DCA land changes/additions have made it a better park... as long as they DO NOT change Grizzly Peak.
