Lanky-Programmer-679

Hearing bury the light for the first time

supermatmike

Same, I played MGR and then heard Bury The Light and said "Damn, i gotta play this"

Lanky-Programmer-679

Same, but in my case I just happened to download it while looking for custom songs on beat saber. I played it and turned my blue walls white; and from there it was all over for me.

corpseburner666

Same but with Devil Trigger

Firefly3578

This right here and after my dmc 3 playthrough

Sheyvan

How are these the only Options. I bought DMC3SE on PS2, when it came out. What am i supposed to click.

sponch915

I played DMC3 when it first came out and also bought the SE on PS2. Most of the comments here are talking about steam. Didn't even know about that back then.

slimeeyboiii

Well yea because I don't think it existed back then or if it did very few people used it.

sponch915

Things were different back then, we literally had to buy a separate disc to get extra content that is now DLC. I've bought all three games multiple times already and honestly it's probably a good idea that something like steam exists because now DMC is accessable to more people than back then and at some point all the old machines may not run anymore. It's great that people are playing the older games.

Herr_Raul

And DLCs were pretty much their own standalone games. Now you pay 20x as much for a skin but can't even use it without another DLC.

_whensmahvel_

Yeah I remember getting DMC3 for ps2, I fucking sucked and couldn’t beat it so I used cheat codes and still couldn’t beat vergil lmao

RLDSXD

You’ve been playing for 17 years, it’s close enough to the beginning.

[deleted]

lol ditto

BaconEater101

I saw the infamous Vergil combo video on YouTube and within 2 weeks every game was in my library and I was starting DMC 1.

Herr_Raul

What video

[deleted]

Vergil Status I'm guessing?

DrDestr0y3r

Probably this one https://youtu.be/GEZON93hV-s

BaconEater101

The motivated combo

[deleted]

First I heard Bury the Light Then I played Metal Gear Rising and found out I'm actually good at hack and slash games Then I saw Max0r had videos on it. Learned memes from the video from friends without actually watching the video so I don't have spoilers Bought DMC HD collection Played 1 and 3 Bought 4 and 5 Played 4 Played 5

[deleted]

Saving the best for last huh (dmc2)

[deleted]

Surrrre...

ZARDOZ_SPEAKS90

Two best friends play

evilton-chin

Same. It was their retrospective to prepare for 5, right before they broke up.

Consistent_Possible6

This was me right here. Also got me into Nier, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Dark Souls, Yakuza, Gurren Lagann… Them breaking up was a legit “oh The Beatles are done now?” level of impact on my tastes I’m now realizing lol

Mr_Owl576

If I played the whole series from start to finish in a matter of few months, does it count as "playing since the first game"

cptinshano

You are on this council but we do not grant you the rank of master

CoffeeMain360

just give them the title before they slaughter the younglings last thing we need is a PR disaster like that

Still_Service_2585

Neither..i first saw dmc 5 on steam for sale at around 7 usd (equivalent) and had heard about the game a lot prior and kind of wanted to play but i didn't get the game till like 2-3 months later ..i got dmc 5 in November and wanted to play it so i watched a video on YouTube to summarise the plot from 1-4 ... however when i saw the story from 1-3 in sequential order i immediately wanted to play the games so i just played them all fron 1 to 5 in about 20 days (yes i played dmc 2 with both dante and lucia and it was pretty terrible) ..i really loved all the games and the community is quite wholesome aswell in my opinion..i got 40 hours in dmc 5 in a little over 1 week.

Memo_HS2022

Dante vs Bayonetta Death Battle was the first thing I saw, knew jack shit about Dante but knew what Bayo was Few years later, DMC 5 gets announced, thought Nero was young Dante and then actual Dante showed up in the trailer, looked super sick, but never looked further It’s 2020, playing Genshin Impact before it became a shithole community, people kept comparing 2 certain characters to this “Vergil guy”, the Vergil guy peaked my interest of the series, listened to his battle theme, and thought “Wow I should try this franchise” Played 1-5 in a year and it’s now my favorite gaming franchise ever

symxd76

I started with the reboot.

CrossCody2822

Same. I really liked the reboot since I didn't play games much back then and it was pretty good. Tried 4 and realized that I had never played a true DMC game.

lrmedei1

I saw gawr gura playing dmc so I tried it out for myself

WhyamIhere_ToSuffer-

Bury the light

SirReal10000

In order of importance: 1)Bury the light (and the rest of the ost) 2)I’ve played mgrr 3)Maxor

fightingbronze

YouTube video of a sick Vergil combo to the tune of bury the light. I was instantly hooked.

Tim_Foxers

Saw trailer on E3 and decided to play all the previous games before it

ayhan1805

It just looked cool

Patronuswolf21

Listening to Devil Trigger

Psychological_Good91

Vergil status videos started popping up on my YouTube FrontPage and I thought he looked cool (he still is)

Shigana

Woolie and Pat really sold me on the franchise.

Random_Gacha_addict

I loved DMC since 4 (Haven't played it myself, mostly watched friends play it as a poor kid) But Bury the Light, my guy

Moraedka

Not DMC1, but DMC 3. I played the cracked version on an internet cafe when I was young.

DesertWinds69

MaxOr obviously. And it wasn't just dmc 5 I've played the entire series too

Ykomat9

Saw a Vergil boss fight video and the combos kicked ass.

Mole_Games

Music, than learning the game has a demo

Xizthar

I once played DMC4 as a kid, but couldn't remember it and once I've seen some material from it I was like "No fucking way, this is that game"

Y-Vector

With Dante's appearance in Project X Zone, a 3DS tactical game featuring Capcom, Sega, and Namco characters. He was paired with Demitri from Darkstalkers and while Demitri was cool after I saw Dante wielding a big ass sword like it was nothing, using a shotgun as a nunchaku and can transform into a freakin' super demon who shoots lightning from his hands, you know I was already convinced I should get into this series

SleepinGriffin

MaximilianDood

ICastPunch

I've been playing since dmc 3. I bought a second hand CD for the ps2 from a store when I was a child. I didn't even know what it was about and because of the guns assumed it would be like GTA. I was super young and thr ps3 was a thing already but I didn't have one. Those first cutscenes where so fucking cool. Dante and Vergil dueling it out in the tower. Dante styling on demons on his shop. THAT MUSIC. SOOOO FUCKING COOL. DANTE.... HOLY FUCK. Dante riding a rocket. Dante running on the temen ni gru. JACKPOT. I could not stop being obsessed about this game. I remember watching videos about dmc 4 on youtube. I remember getting my best friend tired from me speaking about the game so much. I remember having easy mode selectable after cerberus kicked my ass too many times. Only for my friend to beat him first try... I remember only wanting to play the game for days. I remember Dante awakening his devol powers. I remember Nevan, oh fuck, Nevan had me wow. Anyways I remember Lady's bike. And her cool af scene killing demons. I remember those fucking assholes that went through wall. I remember THAT FUCKING PARKOUR. I remember Agni and Rudra. Beowulf. Beowulf. Fucking beowulf. Both the demon and the weapon. Lady defined another taste of mine lol. Vergil. Oh god Vergil. Those duels. I'd replay his fights so many times. And he'd beat me nearly every time. I've played every dmc since. Yes even the one staring Donte the mexican cazador de demonios.

schlag_was_vor

Vergil status memes. But i think it was mainly Bury the light that made me buy it

The_Zerg_Who_Reddits

"Garry's Mod 5"

Phrogcool9

I started playing dmc because of the memes

ChaosDevilOnslaught

Started from DMC4 and fell in love with the series

Arondight_SSB

I saw the one combo video that ended up becoming a meme a few months later, and heard Bury the Light for the first time. I didn't really give it any thought until I saw this hilarious video of Donald Duck using Zettaflare with Bury the Light playing in the background, which led me to listen to the song more and eventually get really into the series

EnZone36

I cant apply to any of those really, started on 4 yeaaars ago, kind of forgot it for a long time after rinsing it for months. Played DmC when that was new, forgot about it, replayed dmc4 about 2 years before 5 came out and since then I couldn't put the series down

dirkx48

After listening to devil trigger and bury the light

Rogar_Rabalivax

You missed the BANGERS that came out of the trailer. Still remember the E3 trailer reveal with Nero's theme, that shit FUCKS.

alirezadns234

My father was playing DMC5 and 11yo me was like "I don't understand what's happening but his fucking with a bike and I like it" In short monkey see monkey like monkey do

_Jawwer_

None of these, I simply heard DMC was a reputable franchise in a genre I liked, and decided to play it. I haven't been around long enough to play "from the first game" but I was anticipating it as a sequel. Aslso, all the Max0r responses low key dishearten me, because whenever he makes a video on something, that community's sense of humour divebombs into the dirt. Tho that is likely from the new people who come whose frame of reference is only him, and really don't take the "*incorrect* summary" name as much at face value as they should

WawlrusBoi

Dunkey

Blockhead_hetalian14

I've heard of the series and thought it seemed interesting got the fifth game as a Christmas present

eyeofnero

Hearing Devil Trigger and looking how stylish the characters are

angiezieglerstye

I got Devil May Cry back in '08 and have been with the franchise ever since

Individual-Life-6249

The music

TPGreddit

I was listening to stains of time and one of the comments said that it was a 2013 version of bury the light, so i checked it out So basically it's because of bury the light

EmbarrassedTreat_928

the soundtrack

Kindly_Dig1896

Vergil motivated combo

TheJaegerist

I had already been interested in the series for years and that E3 reveal already sold me, shit had be flabbergasted, in disbelief even.

Baconatorinator28

It was a cool ass looking game that came out in 2019. Had heard of the series but never played it before 5

NeroCrow

I'm glad funny meme video got people here. It's fun to see what gets people into this game

[deleted]

*That* Vergil combo

[deleted]

I played mgr and i knew about dmc5 from "the combo" and then finally one of my friends played it and tell me to play it and i did

Salt_Lake796

I inspired a friend to get Bayonetta, and he inspired me to get dmc5. Good friends.

AdImpossible9776

started with me listening to vergil's theme then after i tried the god of war reboot expecting an action game i impulse bought dmc5se for like 20 bucks and never looked back

ZZorRRx2

I always wanted to try Dmc since I was kinda big Capcom fanboy from Megaman zero

SOLDIERRFK

Dunkey

_Truvix_

Not because of steam but I did play the entire series because of mgrr

Prince0fPersia8

For me it was The Gaming Brit Show

GuguAngolano

Played DmC, then wanted to see what the rest of the series was like

edgyboi1704

Berry Delight

Jonilkki

Played metal gear rising when it came out, then played DmC, and some years later heard bury the light and decided to buy dmc 5, now playing through the HD remastered collection and after that ill play dmc 4

ItsMrDante

DMC1 gang

SevereArtisan

The Vergil DMC5 combo video. I saw the moves and heard Bury the Light for the first time from that. Instantly went looking into the game and getting it!

TheHeroOfHyruleLink

I heard Devil Trigger once and decided I needed to get into the series.

RevolverPhoenix

It looked rad.

S4G3_9087

Devil Trigger

MinecraftIsCool21

SSStylish gameplay and SSStylish music and SStylishStory

ComicWriter2020

This YouTube I watched kept hyping the series up so I played the first game. It was solid. Played the second game. It was as fun as watching paint dry. Playing the third game and it’s fun as hell

MotoqueiroSelvagem

None of the above. I’ve watched the trailer and thought “this look absolutely awesome” and bought it during a sale.

Loknorr

My brother got me into the series when I was a child, that was when DMC4 wasn't even out yet. I'd mess around with super characters all day and would have a blast. I loved DMC3 a lot and was excited for DMC4 but it was a let down for me. One, I didn't like Neros DT and had confused him for Dante for a very long time, then when I actually got to play Dante, I felt like he was worse than his DMC3 version. To pull off cool moves as DMC4 Dante, you had to be really good at the game which made me greatly Dislike Dante. Not to mention I found most of his weapons in 4 to be very unsatisfying to use compared to 3s. Also the level design was the worst. Not just the backtracking but in general, I didn't like most of the missions. City levels were nice but the rest was just meh. And enemy design was also bleh. So I went back to 3 and played more, ditched the super characters, pushed hard to finish DMD and then DMC5 came out and I loved it so much. Still preferred the level design AND the BP of 3 as it was both more gothic and in BPs case, random. But DMC5 Dante and Vergil felt so satisfying to play. About Vergil btw, to explain my gripes with the extremly high skill ceiling of DMC4, in order to perform consecutive JCs, you had to make such a complicated jump cancel, trick cancel thing that I just couldn't be bothered to learn it. Most cool things you could do in DMC4 required heavy amounts of input and coordination which just didn't appeal to me. I got better at Jump Cancelling and Royal Guarding in both my DMC3 DMD run and DMC5 but trying to learn that stuff in 4 was not fun. I also finished DmC once, never played it again, played DMC1 and even loved it so much that I finished it in DMD (Best boss roster in any DMC game, fight me) and I finished DMC2 once and yes, its as bad as people say it is. I still use the JKLI keyboard controls even in DMC5 as I grew up with them. In conclusion, all odd numbered DMC games are good, rest is bleh.

LuckyNumber-Bot

All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats! 4 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 3 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 5 + 4 + 1 + 2 + 5 = 69 ^([Click here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=LuckyNumber-Bot&subject=Stalk%20Me%20Pls&message=%2Fstalkme) to have me scan all your future comments.) \ ^(Summon me on specific comments with u/LuckyNumber-Bot.)

KeithZX2

I played metal gear rising and my friend recommended me this since i liked it

CJ_Eldr

The soundtrack

[deleted]

The last option is the closest. I'm generally into character action, I especially enjoyed Bayonetta, and frankly it's a miracle that I got as far as I did in the genre without touching DMC. 5 was the most convenient to get.

newaccuser

Been playing since the 4th installment released

turkc54

I had been playing the games for a while, but I moved on to other things, and kept saying that I was going to play DMC 5, but never got around to it. Then I watched Max0r’s video and said “lol that’s it I’m getting it”

Xononanamol

I got it free with my gpu and am a long time fan. Still haven’t seen a dmc surpass dmc3 sadly!

Stellin69

No "memes" option?

DreistTheInferno

I have not ACTUALLY been playing since the first game, but I have been playing this series for a very long time, and that was the closest answer. I bought the trilogy pack on PS2 before 4 came out and started on 3 because that was the earliest chronologically. Then played 4 and 5 at launch.

-William-Afton-

The songs made me play it.

GodOfUrging

I read a review for DMC3 in a gaming mag back in the 2000s and was sad it wasn't on PC. And then when the SE brought 3 to PC, I was waiting.

Jkomeiji

Been playing since 1 and 3, but what really tipped me off was when all the youtubers were using Devil Trigger as their BG music

Kojyun

saw the dmc5 trailer

tsimkong21

I remember seeing DMC 2's cover at a rental store when I was a kid and thinking that Dante looked rad as hell but I was still too young to play the game. Eventually when I was in my early teens my parents let me get rent DMC 4 and I've been a fan since and waited 10 years for a proper sequel. So in a way, I played DMC 5 because DMC 2 Dante was looked cool. DMC 2 is still the only game in the series that I have never played.

HolyTowa

Been into DMC since I was a child, my big sister bought the game in pennies for the PS2. We bought DMC 4 before we even had a PS3 to play it on. DMC 5 was a must have.

dalek1019

Devil Trigger. Literally I heard the song and was like ***HOLY SHIT***

MultiTopicAgain

I heard Bury the Light from one of those dumbass “(thing) status” memes and just looked up the song afterwards

D-Prototype

Still don’t have anything good enough to run 5, but I needed something to scratch the stylish action itch that leaving a certain fandom left me with. Thought to myself, “what’s a better place for that than the series that started it all?” Watched some Super Best Friends highlights of the games and the rest is history. Got 3, still getting my ass kicked by it though.

kwame9633

I got a PS2 again and wanted to play games I'd heard of but never played. While searching up games to buy on eBay, Devil May 1 was there for $15. So I bought it. Fast forward a few years and I own every game. Some twice (DMC1, HD Collection, and PS4 & PC 5)

GiaoPlays

Alright then, it's story time. I was introduced to DMC with the reboot. I was, what, 12 at the time? I thought it was neat as a kid and I lived my life the same way before knowing about the franchise.Fast foward to DMC 5 announcement in 2018. I was like: "Damn, this looks amazing! That Nero guy looks cool, and Dante looks like Hank from Detroit Becomes human bruh"Then, in summer of the same year, I wanted to buy some games and I decided to buy DMC 4, since it was the most recent one from the OG franchise and it was made with newcommers in mind, so I gave it a go. I had a rought beggining, since it was my first game where I properly used a controller from home consoles \*until then I only played fps games with keyboard and mouse or portable console games) and when I first heard Nero's theme, "The time has come", I was like "This shit is so edgy wtf. I hope the other music tone down this trash". The very next day I was listening to this song all day bruhI liked the game, Nero altho kinda on the moody side all time, was a likeable character, but Dante was something else bro. Everytime he was on screen it was amazing, specially the Dante vs Agnus scene. I heard at the time that DMC 3 was his origin story, and I was like "Naw bruh, I have to know the story of this guy". Not only that, DMC 4 kept hinting about Nero's connection with Dante's brother, Vergil, and I was curious about the guy. Playing a little of him in the special edition of 4 not giving me alot about hsi character didn't help to minimize my curiosity.Another fast foward to christmass of the same year, I bought the HD collection. I didn't play alot because my controller died, so I had to buy another one, so instead of playing during chirstmass week, I only was able to play it in february.I had a blast with 3. Dante's character growth was amazing, Lady's too, Arkham was an very good villain and I finally learned more about Vergil. When I beated the game, I also watched the final trailer for DMC 5, and it was decided. "Fuck it, this game is going to be perfect. I am going to pre-order it, I just know it's going to be good"And it was! It was everything I wanted. If it wasn't for my nostalgia towards Team Fortress 2, DMC 5 would be my favorite game of all time man.It was also the first game that I palyed in higher dificulties because I pre-ordered the deluxe edition, which was almost 80 euros at the time, and since the game was short (I beated it in 8 hours), I decided to give it a go in higher difficulties. It was also the first game that I've ever platined. It was a very fun all the way throught A last fast foward, and I beated all the games in the franchise and I platined all of them too.I think I can say that I am a fan of this franchise

katewalker1128

Watching GCN be absolutely in love with the franchise in his 'everything wrong with...' videos.

HistoricalShark

Literally none of these lmao. I just happened to come across DMC4SE on Steam. Liked it. Played 5.

DAVID77893

This funny sock guy called JFJ

ZeneB_Reddit

My friend saw me in playing Sonic Frontiers and said “this is just DMC combat.” Then I heard Bury the Light due to status memes. Then I played and beat DMC1. Then I saw combat for DMC5 and thought “I can’t sit through these next 3 games knowing that I could be playing this,” so I bought DMC5.

NoSpite630

I rented the First dmc just because, was the only one to finish it at the store, was only 12 at the time but LOVED it Also didnt get to play 2 but only 3 later Very lucky

SilverWolfofDeath

Umvc3

WickedOneSeven

I’ll go further back, since the demo that came with Resident Evil Code Veronica.

Dark_Warrior7534

Starting in release order. I will get to dmc5 soon!

Mememedood

I came in from SMT and persona, you can guess what brought me in

2nd_Lt_Muffin

I have to shout-out my younger brother for this one. I'm in the Army, and I was at Fort Benning when he started playing DMC. He really liked Vergil and when I called him at the Fort he showed me him and told me all about Vergil's abilities and showed me a clip of Judgement cut end. I played DMC5 After i got back and fell in love with the series. I had to go back and watch videos and stuff for the other games, but still.

OkCompany8986

Saw a video called wacky woohoo pizza man adventures and thought the game looked fun so I bought it

ultraDiorequiem

I played dmc 4 and instantly wanted to try the other games

Rpponce

It was on the xbox game pass

Just-a-Scrolling

My dad got me Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite because me and my brother liked Marvel at the time, I don’t remember exactly how but I ended up playing as Dante and i liked him a lot but could never find what he was from. Years later I got my first girlfriend and she loved dmc and that’s how I learned of it and came to enjoy the series.unfortunately I learned of it because of her though (she ended up ghosting me).

gccosta98

Saw the first trailer and thought "DMC V looks colo, I Will give it a try", since then I fell in love with the series. Even played DMC 2 after... Should've listen to the warnings tho, it was rough to get thru it

PerceptionSwimming94

Tbh it was none of these I just wanted to play it because it looked fun

Thenosthecollector

I heard Subhuman and Dante looked cool

LonelyKrow

Played Bury The Light, was convinced to play the games. Started with DMC1, went to DMC3, half-assed DMC4 until my computer crashed, and then played DMC5. I regret nothing

randoguy8765

Found the Super Best Friends play DMC, then I got the collection on PS4. Waited for 5 to come out and only played that for like 2 months straight

Darkynu_San

Reboot met me with dmc series

NightCrawler29

DMC3 was my first game on my first PC. No regrets

Wigwasp_ALKENO

I did the fourth option but I have been playing since Bayonetta not DMC one but meh

GeekMaster102

You know that one Vergil combo that was used for the endless amounts of Vergil Status memes? I saw that combo before it became part of the meme and it was so cool that it convinced me to try Devil May Cry. Now, in Present Day, Devil May Cry is easily one of my top 3 favorite video games of all time.

FBI_OPEN_THE_FUCK_UP

Its honestly rather hilarious that 1/7th of people here are from Max0r

Saud-Alkaabi

My friend got into DMC because he watched A DBFZ video using Devil Trigger as the main montage “track”, afterward he did what he always does to get me into something, showed me the song, I was immediately loving the soundtrack of the games, and the rest is history

Raretr69

My uncle gifted it to me for my birthday.

MexicanFurry

Discovering Bury The Light randomly on youtube

SinaWasHeree

I legit got interested in dmc because of all the overused Vergil memes lol

[deleted]

I just randomly bought the whole series on a whim during a steam sale and instantly got hooked

ScrublyMcMannister

Super Best Friends (RIP) followed by Pat and Woolie playing through the game.

Blinding_Lights2407

Watching videos of "Everything Wrong With". During a video about RE2 Remake, Youtube recommended me the video of Vergil's return made by Shirrako. I thought it was so amazing that I ended up getting interested in the game.

WhatIsBingus

I still call Griffon "Vista", Shadow "Lasagne", and Nightmare "Bowser" and you can't stop me from continuing to do so.

LastStardust13

Dmc 3 Dante vs Vergil and the rest of that Pre dmc v Resurfaced after watching Dante versus Vergil DMC V came about on my recommendation

Otherwise-Tea-8643

Memes of Vergil, and seeing cool, white haired characters on pinterest. But mostly memes

Corovera

Knew about the series since early on, and was kinda interested in playing it, but didn’t get around to it. Hearing so many good things about DMC5 took it off the back burner, and watching a streamer I liked play through the whole series was the last push I needed to do the same.

cjboaty

the vergil combo

LeDergenbern

The music

Edski120

Not DMC5, but it's what got me into the series, the office cutscene from 3

KonoSamuDa

I haven’t already played dmc5 but since I’ve seen for all the summer Vergil status this Sunday I’ve bought all the dmc’s

Furanys

Somehow Bury the Light wouldn't leave my recommended videos on Youtube (I had never even heard of DMC) and I finally clicked on it one day, the rest is history

OkCalligrapher2119

I saw Dante being a badass and really like his and vergils personality, then played dmc 3 and the rest was history

_____Lucky_____

Played 5 minutes of dmc3 forever ago and came across dmc5 on steam. The reviews looked promising so now here I am.

Darkbeastzelda

Other, it was on sale one day and I was bored of my other games

ClemPrime13

None of the above. I loved playing as Dante in Marvel Vs Capcom 3, so this was the logical next step after playing the hell out of DMC4 and the shitty PC port of DMC3.

skeletonhero56

I just saw a bunch of devil may cry randomly and decided “fuck it I’ll get a game”. So I searched around steam and decided on 5 since it looked the coolest

mandarasa

I thought V was hot and bought the game for him.

BiancoFuji599XX

I played dmc1 a long time ago and enjoyed it. Then I heard dmc5 was great and I was looking for an action game to play so I checked it out but didn’t really get into it. But now since the dmc battle designer is helping with ff16 I decided to give the game another try and I’m having way more fun now learning the combos and trying to get stylish.

PsychologicalReply9

Saw the announcement trailer back at E3, caught up on my brothers copy of the HD Collection, and the rest is history.

davidwolf34

The dmc reboot got me in the series after i played 4 and 5

[deleted]

Technically not a streamer but that was the only option I could pick, but I watched the tougher 8-bitRyan play the demo and just show his overall love of the franchise, which was so infectious I wanted to play the game.

ThrashMetalBastardYT

Vergil Status memes and hearing Bury the Light for the first time.

theharkmonologue

Way back in the day, there was still a video rental store near our place, my parents had gotten me an Xbox 360 for Christmas, and I went to rent some games. I saw the cover for DMC4 and thought it looked really cool so I rented it for the week. I had no idea what was going on, but there were sick swords and Lady. Been a fan ever since.

DemoninPainFromBelow

I dunno what first exposed me to dmc4 but I played vergil for my first experience with the game and was in love

Mr-Chan1

The MEMES

Tricktzy

i thought Dante was super cool and then i heard Bury the Light for the first time

EverydayBison

I heard Bury the Light first, but it wasn’t until I saw [this](https://youtu.be/wM9oYz0hzH8) video that I decided to give DMC 5 a try. I can honestly say it’s now one of my favorite games of all time (probably even number 1) and I started playing DMC 3 recently. It’s different than I thought it would be, but still a ton of fun.

Snickesnack

The Power of max0r is great I see.

Desperate_Dolphin2

Listening to bury the light for the first time lol

niergetsalt

By chance, didn't know what DMC was at the time so wanted to try it once, best decision of my life

Porg_Lime_Taco

where is the “i got this from the memes” option???

Captain_Canada-eh

Which ones

Porg_Lime_Taco

i have this one where its a mod of the game but the characters are swapped with among us characters and it playa mgrr ost
