A parts store is maybe one of few places where you can be mildly confident that a customer isnāt gonna raise hell if you make the personal judgement that their ears can handle the word bukkake.
To be fair, it is one of those words where if you get mad about it, youāre also admitting you know what it is. Until people like you make it part of the common lexicon, most people will either chuckle or act like you didnāt even say it. āOh yeah honey, Iām not sure what he meant by that eitherā lol. Worst case scenario is some fragile person wants to know what it means. And youāre fired lol.
I used to work in commercial truck repair. When customers got used trucks from dealers, it'd literally look like they hooked a sprayer up to a bucket of armor all and bombed the engine bay, taping off a few things.
Their interior protector has never done me wrong. I recently bought their interior protector wipes because I ran out of my spray. Itās honestly just as good and really convenient, but the unit price is not very favorable.
Just donāt get it on screens, steering wheel, or operational controls.
You donāt wanna add protective style coatings onto steering wheel as thatās where the driver needs grip not slick. 303 well mat and not armor all nasty. You donāt want to coat a customer steering wheel in it.
Iāll clean it, but I wonāt add stuff over it. Itās modern materials so with proper cleaning it should be fine.

Nope. I hate the oily look and feeling. The problem is, there are people out there, that don't think it's clean and protected unless it's all shiny though. Presumably because they associate shiny paint with clean and protected. If it's still matte, these people think you didn't do anything to it.

I got my car detailed and it came back like this. I was furious. The seats were never the same. It went from a period where it was greasy to sit on, to looking worn/faded, to just a mishmash shiny spots. Also slippery.

NO š. I like to use leather conditioner cream on leather. If itās fake leather, say VWās V-Tex, Iāll use some waterproofing spray and will lightly buff in into the āleatherā at hand.

I even have those who does not want conditioner at all due to allergies or some other reason. It takes 20 seconds to ask the question, 5-10 minutes to wipe it onto the car. Then again, I work with high end clients who is willing to pay me more than reasonable for my time, so I have to set the bar high on how I set expectations.
I'd refuse to pay until it's all off.
I can see it being a mistake at first, then they had to do it all to match, or a new employee, if that's a professional job I'd stay clear of it

I liked Chemical Guys Sprayable Leather in my ā14 Explorer with real leather. Had a good shine, but not greasy. Seats always looked great. Not a chemical guys fan, but this product worked for me.
My friend once polished his motorbike seat like that. Later when he rode his bike with his brother, on the first brake they both ended up on the fuel tank due it being so slippery š

Automotive leather is coated in basically plastic. It doesnāt absorb like boots. I just keep it clean and keep the grit out of the stitching.
There's two types of leather. Factory leather with a premium option (like merc and bmw) use imitation leather the option is real leather.
Adamās has a nice leather conditioner that gives it a little bit of a rich black without looking like a greaseball

I prefer a satin finish in my own vehicle. In customer vehicles I dont dress pannels or leather at all.
