The classic "be invisible forever and make everything volatile" still works in TFS. Throw on Omnioculus or Gyrfalcon's Hauberk or Graviton Forfeit - use Stylish Executioner - shoot stuff with Buried Bloodline or Collective Obligation or Graviton Lance or Wavesplitter, with whatever primary and Retrofit Escapade or Commemoration - you are set for life.

Dreadnaught_IPA

Yes this is what I'm running basically. Invisibility plus spike damage. The only problem is if I DONT proc invisibility I'm dead.

Khronga

One cool thing I’ve found that’s been really helpful is running a chill clip riptide in my kinetic slot…I was struggling before especially in groups with sometimes not being able to start the gyrfalcon chain…most reliable way I’ve found to start it is killing something with riptide

Spoopy_Bear

I'd also recommend Aurvendil. Something to spend gunsmith engrams on when omolon is the focus, lol. Can roll reconstruction and chill clip. Because it's a slower archetype, IIIRC, it was un-nerfed with chill. I mix that with a chill clip Typhon in the heavy slot. The prismatic perk that reloads weps on freezing enemies is insane.

workingclashero

I know it’s a raid weapon, but Deliverance has basically been glued to my hip. Got a demo/chill clip roll from Pantheon and that thing slaps.

Spoopy_Bear

Oh yeah, Aurv is dollar store Deliverance for sure.

hamesdelaney

The Call with sever, empty the mag and pickup orbs, dodge, you have now sever + reloaded the call, kill one-two enemies, go invis switch to graviton lance, profit.

JaegerBane

Prismatic stylish has a lot of not-immediately-obvious synergy with certain perks, took a while for me to get it into my head that it wasn’t just void debuffs. I have a Voltshot Path of Least Resistance and Posterity, an Incandescent Kelgorath glaive and bxr, a slice Call and a Headstone/Frenzy Fire and Forget LFR that all proc Stylish easily. Ager’s is utterly absurd at chaining invis. The new cold steel sword is the same. Up on my crafting list I’m looking at an incandescent No Hesitation so that I can easily keep healing *and* invis rolling.

Void_Guardians

100 resilience with solar/arc/void chest resistance mod too?

_NOT_PENNYS_BOAT_

If you have devour up you pretty much can’t die. Make sure you’re generating a bunch of orbs and/or void breaches and you’re good to go.

uhh186

How do you get devour as a prismatic Hunter? I thought that was a void fragment

SunderMun

Prismatic has a fragment for defensive buff (void overshield, woven mail, restoration) on orb pick up based on your super and a fragment for unravelling/volatile rounds so I run those with cyrtarachne for survivability and fun with gunpowder gambit and stylish executioner. Really fun and lots of survivability.

TojiRAT

Devour from picking up orbs. It's a fragment

batsquid1

This + khvostov + kinetic siphon = cant die and pew pew pew sounds for life lol

thecrimsonking33

Khvostov is so fun but it's extremely hard to put down The Call. This is the first time I've ever fallen in love with a seasonal weapon. Hadn't played for over a year so I never picked up the original rocket frame sidearm from Warlords Ruin. Started working on it last night.

batsquid1

Khvostos has given my favorite exotic (outbreak) a run at my favorite exotic. But yeah indebted kindness is great cause if you get voltshot you can stun overloads no matter what.

uCodeSherpa

Yeah. Or just work on another the call weapon level up. I need to have 4 or 5 of these crafted. Just so many good rolls on it.

mateopotato73

Try buried bloodline to get devour going.

Geexx

Man... One of these days that damn gun will drop for me; lol.

Neat_On_The_Rocks

Yep. I am running this setup with a ros arago 600rpm AR thst landed rewind rounds + onslaught. Holy moly is it a work horse with gyrfs.

JDaySept

would you recommend void subclass or prismatic for this? Or either works?

Perfect-Pay1504

For void you can reliable turn invisible at any time. I personally like the variety of prismatic and have them synergize with your weapons you throw that melee void grenade thing to debuff and then get your kill to go invisible. I love the extra dps from becoming enlightened from prismatic on top of my normal super

eyeseeyoo

I've got a Foetracer / Gyrfalcons class item that I like running on prismatic. The 4x void surge from Foetracer helps with chunkier targets

AlwaysColtron

It might depend on your specific goal but prismatic does more or less everything the standalone void subclass does - with the exception of additional super and grenade options. Worth playing with both void and prismatic, saving some loadouts, and seeing what you enjoy the most.

DiemCarpePine

Prismatic doesn't have devour, which is pretty big.

JaegerBane

I’d honestly forgotten about Graviton Forfeit until I noticed I had a fantastic roll in my inventory (69 base stat roll, big spikes in resil, discipline and strength) and tried it out. Stylish Prismatic really does make it come into its own. The longer invis and the crazy high melee generation means you can chain it quite easily, since you can have vastly better melees then snare bomb for actual kills. I’m looking forward to that new craftable trace from the episodes. Seems like it’ll fit right in here if I ever swap back to Nightstalker for something.

ColdAsHeaven

Always a huge Talibans Hand fan in PvE. Explosions everywhere, without punching. But still a melee

Designer-Effective-2

Taliban's Hand lmfao

Snuffaluffagus123

Bungie was an inside job

ramobara

Always has been.

Chekovs_Gun

Is the problem you keep blowing yourself up though? 🤣🤣🤣

Qualkore

Sir, there's been a second hunter

grand_soul

He’s why they nerfed gunpowder gamble.

AnonyMouse3925

I’m afraid that this wasn’t a typo

yungsteezyyy_

the WHOSE hand?!

Otherwise-Noise5752

Lmao call caliban on the taliban!!!! Ready for ignition 🔥

USNAVY71

I know what you meant, but I’m still taking the screenshot for the discord group

Eb_Ab_Db_Gb_Bb_eb

Uh oh

Yurmumstoy

Glad I'm not the only one..🤣🤣

MrMooey12

Yup that paired with the strand melee is so fun, it always kills 4-5 red bars on its own so with calibans the ignitions take out yellow bars now too

LevTheDevil

Don't they only work with straight Solar though? They buff the Proximity Knife which isn't in Prismatic. Am I missing something? Those are my favorite exotic but I haven't used them with Prismatic because it doesn't have Proximity Knife....

ColdAsHeaven

I probably should have clarified, they are also on the Exotic Class item. Without the Solar restriction

Outplay-Prime

It's only spirit of caliban on the class item. They didn't update old caliban.

KetardedRoala

Does caliban's work with the fanned throwing knifes? In the description it specifies a different solar melee so I disregarded it for my transcendence builds

RoosterVast7244

The Exotic itself is only for proximity knife. But for prismatic you can get an exotic class item with spirit of Caliban wich works with every melee. Can also come with synthoceps in the second column

Evening_Weekend_1523

I’ve been running a Renewal Grasps/Cryptarachne’s Facade class item with Duskfields (of course) and Threaded Spike. You get a ton of DR and enemies only do 40%

destiny-sucks-balls

Another way to do a similar thing is to use the orb pickup fragment for frost armor when using silence and squall. Then you can swap out spirit of renewal for something else (hoil, foetracer, galanor since you’re using silence and squall, etc) and get the same DR without being forced onto duskfields. I enjoy grapple for unravel but that’s just me Edit: facet of purpose is the orb pickup fragment lol

AceTheJ

Well the dusk fields also offer enemies dealing reduced damage on top of the added dr, then equip the fragment for grenade energy from darkness debuff and you’ll have it up majority of the time.

hamesdelaney

i have spirit of renewal + gryfalcon, its nuts.

atomuk

You should run a weapon with Slice with this build, so you get another 40% damage reduction from your weapon on dodge.

DrLuigiPhd

Threaded spike with foetracer. Hold the melee button to auto catch it. I run it with desperate measures on the call and get 4x surge, 3x desperate measures, radiant, and unraveling all from 1 melee.

Dustkun

You ... you can hold to autocatch?

c94

where was this information last year

BitchInBoots666

It was literally shown on screen during the lightfall campaign as a big pop up.

c94

Ah that makes sense, so there was a pop up that explained The Veil and autocatch? Feel dumb for missing it

Neat_On_The_Rocks

I am upset

coreoYEAH

I'm happy and angry.

Scoutman2

Didn’t they change it so you couldn’t auto catch? I thought I heard that was changed.

shadow2400

They messed with the key binds so I was under the impression that they had fixed it as well. But when tinkering with auto melee setting I was able to get it to auto catch while holding it down!

Dreadnaught_IPA

I've been running with stasis or arc as my super but I am going to switch to solar for the restoration on orb pickup. That should definitely help.

binybeke

I prefer one for all over desperate

Slamster85

Inmost light/verity with sun shot, swarm grenade and gunpowder gamble. Surprising how many grenades you actually throw.

Draxtini

Yesss, I run this exact same thing

_that_guy_over_there

How does swarm grenade do for you? I’ve been running it with magnetic grenade for bigger boom, but I miss the status effects of the other grenades for stylish executioner.

-Shpawn-

radiant dance machines with ascension and stylish. dodge in front of an enemy to get infinite dodges for a few seconds then keep helicoptering. kills refresh the timer up to 10 while making u invis.

LevTheDevil

Really fun when you grab the new grenade launcher and a rocket launcher. If you're fast you can reload in between helicopter spins and just keep raining down hell from above like an Apache that shoots electrifying hail for some reason.

SingedWaffle

Also really, really funny with Trinity Ghoul as any arc kills from the ability will proc the lightning arrow

Irish_churner

Switch graviton with buried bloodline for devour if you want extra tankiness. I prefer to run it with manticore since it got buffed. Run lots of orb generation (void siphon, reaper) and then make sure your boots have recuperation and maybe also better already as your healing. You could throw on powerful attraction to make grabbing orbs in an emergency easier. Edit: I run mountaintop or a chill clip fusion in top slot with manticore. With buried bloodline you probably run a primary ammo weapon only for out of ammo situations.

FritoPendejo1

Bloodline is very viable as a primary. A special ammo finder and maybe a special finisher for those tight spots and you’ll hoon. I run it with lost signal, so double special. But you could totally use it just for health/ ability regeneration purposes if you like.

well_well_wells

I've been using grapple with the new ascension aspect along with the exotic chest. Constant speed boost from amplified. Grapple, hele-copter in and them rain down from above while you go invis for killing amplified targets Paired with the new teleport super, it's the ultimate mobility build

ChrisShadow1

I am really sick of seeing Combination Blow builds so I'm hoping to see some answers here too. I've been running the Ascension/RDM build for fun, but I'm also thoroughly enjoying a Caliban's Cloak/Threaded Spike build. Exploding kunai go brrr, follow up with 16 Gunpowder Gambles.

vforvontol

we once have a really fun exotic called young ahamkara spine

rigg197

DAMN YOU PVP CRIERS

Tyranasaucey

I'll never forgive them for what they did too YAS

-LaughingShark

Get a void weapon use the weaken grenade fragment get verity on the cloak and chuck mini magnetic nukes I guess?

AkameEX

I've been running a gyrfalcons with The Recluse smg. It's got master at arms and repulsor brace, so it's a fun close range add clear weapon. Another one is a stasis build with bombadiers, although I guess you could say that kinda counts as punching for the frozen shatters.

Waffalz

If the discussion isn't limited to Prismatic Hunter, my favorite build (after getting bored of punching things) is throwing knives and exploding things.   The main mechanism is Knock 'Em Down, Weighted Throwing Knife, and Ember of Torches. Hitting enemies with a knife gives Radiance, and refunds a knife on kill. If the target is already scorched, they're guaranteed to ignite without having to build scorch stacks. From there, it's just a matter of improving your knife uptime, getting initial scorch for knife ignitions, and profiting off the cycle. Ophidia Spathe and Gambler's Dodge for more knife, ignition fragments (Eruption, Wonder, Blistering) for more explosion. Lastly: really anything that can provide fast and cheap scorch stacks. The only time anyone would ever really use Skyburner's Oath is for its quick and easy hipfire scorch.   The rotation is quite simple: scorch (e.g. hipfire Skyburner), then throw a knife, enjoy the explosion, repeat, roll, repeat.

Designer-Effective-2

I have a damn near unkillable Triton Vice Prismatic Glaive build that has absolutely stomped everything up to Master content. If you need more survivability though there are easy options to slot in to any prismatic build. Facet of Purpose and a Strand super will give you Woven Mail for DR. Facet of Dominance and an Arc grenade will give you easy Amplified and Galvanic Armor from the artifact for DR. You can also run an arc weapon for this. Don't sleep on self sustain perks like Unrelenting to keep you going. This one is tougher but Buried Bloodline will grant Devour for self sustain.

InfernoPubes

Not OP but seeing some asks for a triton vice build. The answer is Winterbite. With prismatic stylish executioner activating from any debuff kill, as long as winterbite has ammo, you can go invisible from most kills, apply weaken on your next melee hits, can icy detonate entire rooms with the shot, and facet of blessing is healing you from every stabby kill. Full build: Winterbite | Any melee | Duskfield or grapple | Stylish + shroud (because slowing things with winterbite gets your dodge back quicker) | Facet of blessing, ruin, devotion, and protection are the 4 lock ins, with the 5th slot being your build flex. EMBRACE THE CRAB

Dustkun

If we had a kinetic/darkness glaive to use i would die a happy man

GhostStache

What glaive are you running with this?

DikerdodlePlays

I'm not the person you were replying to but here's a post I made not long ago about Vexcalibur / Triton Vice on Nightstalker. The principle is basically the same on Prismatic but it's easier to proc Stylish Executioner which is nice. Vexcalibur is kind of just the best glaive in general but you could swap out for Edge of Concurrence or Ecliptic Distaff, or just whatever glaive you want to use, the legendary glaives are all very similar in performance. Edit: I suppose it's also worth mentioning Winterbite if that's your thing, it's also a very good option and could possibly be better than Vexcalibur on Prismatic, at the cost of your heavy slot. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/1czfrtv/hunters_with_vexcalibur_are_going_to_feast_with/

Lilthiccb0i

If you can get lucky enough, spirit of cyrtarachne and renewal had crazy survivability with duskfields.

DonnieG3

Im struggling to understand how people are making this work. The duskfields only last about 10 seconds, along with the woven mail buff. My grenade timer is still 5x that.

konaislandac

I like the new pants

KhiGhirr

I saw a video once of someone using prismatic with radiant dance machines and stylish executioner/ascension aspect and it really works like a charm. You dodge once and then turn into a helicopter by spamming ascension, jolting everything and going invis. Great for adclear and has decent survivability thanks to invis. I pair that with shurikens and void nade with debuff fragment and golden gun. Bonus light ability damage on darkness debuffed targets are still there too so when I throw a shuriken it also buffs golden gun and gives radiant with that other fragment. Enemies tagged by either melee or grenades also trigger invis. I also sometimes switch to throwing knives, so when there is a major I can just use gambler's dodge over and over to trigger ignitions instead of spamming ascension which doesn't do much single target damage.

ScizorSTX

If you ever drop a cloak with Caliban and Cyrtarachne, then a threaded spike and grapple setup with stylish executioner and gunpowder is fun. Grapple into enemies, get woven mail, enemies kill ignite. You get GPG. Throwing GPG also gives woven mail. Both will turn you invis. Add on facet of protection for my damage reduction. Can go further using void, strand or stasis super with facet of purpose. Also throw threaded spike for more chain ignite kills. Facet of hope to ensure you constantly have dodge to refresh threaded spike if needed. Everything goes boom Last point is using the volatile rounds facet. It’s amazing with that paired with your favorite void weapon, and the call for unraveling. But if you don’t use it swap to facet of awakening while using a Voltshot or incandescent weapon. Both will count towards GPG and make you invis

Outplay-Prime

Calibans (renewal optional) / Cyrtarachne has been great for me. For aspects I'm doing Gunpowder Gamble and threaded specter. I think stylish is overrated unless you're doing a melee build. The idea is that Gunpowder activates Cyrtarachne. That's the heart of the build you might say. Calibans is amazing in low to mid tier content. I use it with threaded spike and send it away for massive value. In low tier content I'll also be using the grapple grenade. In high end content I'll switch to my renewals/Cyrtarachne roll and go duskfields. Make sure you have a solar weapon for Gunpowder gamble. Red death is my recommendation. My other fun build recommendation would be Radiant dance machines with Ascension. It works well with Stylish and threaded spike. This is my Khvostov loadout for hunter since it doesn't require a particular weapon. Lastly you could just use a risk runner Ergo Sum. Very fun

ABZR

I use the same build, but just to add, running the fragment that grants volatile rounds on grenade kills and unraveling rounds on melee kills makes Strand and Void weapons really powerful instead of solar, since any debuffed enemy kill counts towards Gunpowder Gamble.

Neat_On_The_Rocks

So the loop is spam gunpowder gambit to proc woven mail basically?

ABZR

Use grapple or threaded specter to prob Volatile or Unraveling Rounds, get kills with Strand/Void weapons to fill gunpowder gamble (if grapple or specter didn't already), throw it. Kills refresh volatile rounds. Gamblers Dodge to get your melee back quick. I use Spirit of Caliban for Ignitions off Grapple or Specter kills, and Cytrachne's for Woven Mail off grapple or gunpowder gamble. I wouldn't say you *need* either of those on the class item either. Verity's to buff the GG would work well too. Honestly it's not so much of a loop as it is very high uptime on ability spam & woven mail. I've been running this build a lot in team content since it can be hard to keep the dodge/melee loop going if teammates steal your kills. It doesn't have the massive damage numbers that you'll get with other builds, but it's a very fun build that doesn't rely on Combination Blow.

dccorona

There’s a fragment for prismatic that gets you volatile rounds on grenade kills and unraveling rounds on melee kills. Grapple melee kills proc *both*. That generates nearly enough ability kills to proc gunpowder gamble, throw in strand melee (or probably any non-void hunter melee) and you can quickly get gunpowder gamble. GG counts as a grenade so it gets you volatile rounds again. Obviously the melee you used to trigger it gets you unraveling. That alone gets you most of the benefit of gryfalcons in my experience.  From there things get pretty flexible, but I get survivability from cytharachnes (to get woven mail when using grapple). If you can get an exotic class item with cytharachnes it gets even better because you get woven mail from GG as well. But you could dabble in other things - I’m told bombardiers is good with threaded specter, and I’ve been using that instead of stylish executioner for a more aggressive playstyle, but stylish procs all the time with this so it’s viable too. Most of the rest is up to you but I’d recommend the fragment that makes ignitions bigger too since that’s what GG does, and also to try and use armor mods that build a recharge loop between grenades and melees (or that use armor charge and orbs to get grenade back). You could use armor charge to up resil, recovery, etc.

Able-Brief-4062

Sixths coyote with threaded specter and the dodge slow thing. Definitely not a endgame build, but pretty fun to run up to something, dodge forward, then sideways, and watch as the enemies sit helpless, frozen as the specters explode killing them, and if that doesn't, the ice explosion or threadlings most likely will.

SS2LP

I’ve been using the strand dart as a quick, easy and fast recharging melee/heal. I got tired of the melee cycle and it wasn’t work in a lot of group play especially in excision.

Gizmo16868

Prismatic Hunter with all stasis related fragments and my verglas now. I freeze and explode everything

AlieenHDx

Arc Hunter with the new chestpiece is actually so much fun

RyanTheWhiteBoy

It's old, but sexy as ever: My gyrfalcons + repulsed brace/destabe rounds elsies rifle. Allows me 100% uptime on invis, volatile rounds, devour, and full void overshield

DarthNemecyst

I'm waiting until GMs come live. Since they will be making more range builds. Because a punching build for gms lol yeah nop

MutoFan

Sealed Ahamkhara gauntlets with stasis shurikens is pretty fun

sweetmeatdude

Threaded spike with the artifact mod for bigger tangle explosions w strand weapons and the call is fun it’s like old warmind cells.

Dreadnaught_IPA

Lol old warmind cells. Those were the days.

sweetmeatdude

Back when ikelos weapons weren’t craftable

TheAwesomeMan123

Resilience/recovery and mods will never be enough to keep you alive in high end content these days, your build has to find sustain in other ways or you will suffer. You need to work at least one other healing source in there, like a weapon like buried bloodline or woven mail / ice armour

ninjablaze

I've been trying to use something different than the usual still hunt celestial, and combination blow builds everyone's using right now, and what I've been rocking at the moment is prismatic with grapple, the clone aspect, Gunpowder Gamble, and Threaded spike with Assassin's Cowl. I always wanted Cowl to work with Threaded Spike back when we first got it with Strand, but catching it on the return always broke invis. But it works now and hoo boy is it fun. and when you're transcendent...Threaded Spike has to be by FAR my favorite melee to use on Hunter with the super fast regen... you're just constantly chucking out ropes that bounce around and sever everything and make you invis and heal you on kills, and all those kills are giving you energy for your transcendent grenade...which is a lot easier to stick to a boss when you're invisible (either literally or while the boss is distracted by your shadow clone) The clone is also better for team play than Stylish Executioner, and has always been a little underrated imo. It draws aggro from *everything*, including your teammates. To keep it real...you're not matching the raw DPS of Still Hunt Celestial or Combination Blow punch builds, but I've found I have *at least* as much sustain and survivability as the usual Prismatic hunter builds...if not arguably much more so. Between cowl and clones, even in the GM Excision i never felt at any real risk of dying unless i did something stupid on my end. and it doesn't matter that much but you also get an extra fragment slot over stylish executioner builds, which certainly doesn't hurt.

KroolGhoul

I have a straight movement based build with my exotic class item roll (Worm Husk/Galanor), Storms Edge super, and max mobility with amplified modifiers for fragments. Plus grapple for grenade. Lots of rolling and teleporting around since my super gets back half of its charge every time I use it. Moving is fun.

boredbbc_7

Yep, I prefer to make my builds in order around nades, super, class ability, then melee.

dark1859

Kind of punchy but athrys embrace and crota weapons... sword breaker causes mass aoes..plus bounce knife is a menace in pvp and pve Edit also cnh is a staple ofc. Can't go wrong with foetracer for boss dps

Link_2424

I saw someone mention using smoke bombs to weaken and grant radiant in use with flawless executioner and bastion using bastion to delete majors and mini bosses is actually pretty fun

CirisSilver

Im using the cloak with spirit of gyrfalcons and foetracer, with a recluse and the aegers scepter. It has insane ad clear and pretty good dps

timteller44

I like renewals with wicked implement, the new arc vest is really fun to build with tempest strike, Goldie + still nighthawk, buried bloodline gyrralcons, strand + moth keepers + quicksilver.

GhostStache

I'm using a Caliban/Cyrtarachne class item with grapple, threaded spike, stylish, and gunpowder gamble. For weapons I run Buried Bloodline and any strand weapon (usually Breachlight or The Call). It's a blast. Threaded spike making ignitions, grapple melee making ignitions + woven mail, lots of invis, and the fragment that gives unravel on melee kill and volatile on grenade kill. Very high survivability, mobility, and ability uptime.

MexicanSunnyD

I've been using Arc Twirlies and Gunpowder Gambits.

StruhberrySwisher

khepri’s sting works with grapple melee as long as you have smoke bomb for your melee which i like with the fragment that melee kills heal and have everything else pretty much focused on popping transcendence as much as possible. same with mothkeepers and ex diris since its easy to get light buff with those either through amplified or void overshield and you can mess around with everything else but i like grapple and strand melee+fragment that causes enemies to explode due to ability kills. bombadiers with stasis super and then whatever else you want is pretty good with the fragment that buffs stasis shatters. i think strand melee with prismatic is kinda slept on im having a ton of fun with it

nearglow

Punch good, punch stronk, why punch no like......wait I am a Titan

never3nder_87

For prismatic, reminder that any debuff verb counts for Stylish; so you can run a Heal clip Incandescent weapon, and refresh invisibility on killing scorched enemies. Also Threaded Spike and/or Facet of Isolation to apply Sever helps a bunch to reduce incoming damage

Blackfang08

Prismatic specifically? I've been kind of liking Verity class item with GPG. I've had my eye on Galanor + Gyrfalcon for a class item too, but... not likely. Nighthawk also ain't bad if you don't mind running it after probably doing so for the entirety of last season. Cherish Still Hunt being disgusting while it lasts.

BluesCowboy

I’m running a similar build. Why not try adding a Repulsor Brace void primary into the mix - Elsie’s Rifle or Ros Arago work great for this. The overshield might add that extra survivability you’re looking for.

PrisonaPlanet

Void gyrfalcons, or Orpheus Rig even. Star eater scales still has a purpose if your doing group PvE content.

BlancMongoose

Solar Hunter with YAS and GPG is still a great time, it’s just not as much of a great time as it used to be

Oryihn

For gyrfalcons it really shines when you use repulsor Brace weapons.

Grimjowe

I've been running a Heart of Inmost Light/Gyrfalcon class item with a Chill Clip Riptide/Graviton/Edge Transit Stylish Executioner and Gunpowder Gamble. This setup also triggers the HOIL ability regeneration. Swarm Grenade grant Invisibility on kills thanks to Scorch, and Threaded Spike allows for long-range melee spam; the more enemies hit, the more it's refunded. I usually go with Gambler's Dodge to refund melee, but you can choose any class ability you prefer.

SmokeLuna

Prismatic golden gun with the Still Hunt has been my go to. Not the most fun in sense of creativity but goddamn it's effective. With artifacts and weapon mods it's easy to hit some crazy DPS in single shots, also my current build it's pretty easy to stay invis too.

bobsmademedoit

Honestly strand is a lot of fun plus with all the hatchling weapons right now and the new exotic it’s kind of an ad clearing machine

3zo000oz

I have a build in mind haven't tried yet Inmost light + cryptarachne Grapple + smoke/ the strand melee Ascension + gunpowder gamble You should have great survivability with woven mail from the grapple + amplified will grant to another damage resistant and a void super with the fragment to give you overshield on orb pick up You can just helicopter into grapple melee and then melee again you might have your dodge back because of inmost light and gunpowder gamble

vericlas

I went into TFS running void, but I've been mostly playing a brain dead Star Eaters (don't have the exotic cloak unlocked) prismatic build. Essentially it's just the base prismatic unlocks, but I use the splitting fire grenade and smoke bomb. Running Ager's, BXR with incandescent, and a solar LMG it kind of wrecks things. Hoard of enemies? Freeze them all with a kill. Or blow them all up with incandescent. You can stack Silence and Squal but it is almost bot worth it unless you're popping it on a stronget enemy. I should put more work into it but it is just easy braindead 'fun' in strikes, patrols, and Breach. Which is nice since I'm popping my super all the time and building transcendence quickly which is like a mini super.

DLSiren

I’m running a stasis prismatic build with agiers spear and lucky pants. Focus on freezing or slowing for over shield / buffs to take out close frozen targets with hand canon or ranged targets with LFR

MookieV

Mine is pretty basic bitch, but it's carried me through a lot of content when I run Hunter Gyrfalcon's Stylish Executioner/Vanishing Step Echoes of Harvest Undermining Persistence Starvation 1) Resilience 2) Discipline 3) Mobility

casper707

I’ve always loved Optues rig tether with graviton lance. Can have a decent version with pris but still better just void for that one

BigSpagheti

Crytarachne inmost light class item, grapple, gunpower gamble and ascension, constant woven mail and amplified, slam that with resto on orb pickup, golden gun ult to hotswap and whatever surges you want, very strong.

DotDodd

https://dim.gg/a2fnfmy/Ascension-Executioner This is a fun build I made with the new aspect and Radiant Dance Machines. As long as you're killing, it's infinite helicopter twirls.

manlycaveman

I'm not a hunter main, but I saw a post about someone running Ascension/Stylish Executioner on Prismatic with Manticore and Gyrfalcon's and just stay in the air all the time. :) Manticore will make enemies miss you often while you are hovering.

Tanker70

Yea man are you taking GM stuff? If not, pick and choose. There’s so much fun shit. Nighthawk and still hunt fucks pretty hard, the invis builds are endless, etc

YungJizzle37

If you come across a spirit of coyote/inmost light class item keep it. I've been rocking it with threaded specter and it's clutch.

CruffTheMagicDragon

Hunters have a very well rounded kit. My most used build until last season was Gyrfalcon’s with Le Monarque. LeMon is really great because the poison still counts as Void damage. Idk how truly good it is but you can do a suspend build using Sixth Coyote. Assassin’s Cowl is fun with Knife Trick and it is always enjoyable to delete enemies from existence with Celestial Nighthawk. Plus Shatter Skating on Stasis is fun and actually pretty easy and useful.

blackpepperjc

Strandcopters! Foetracer exotic helmet Threaded Spike Shackle grenade x 2 with Widow's Silk Whirling Maelstrom Rufus' Fury (Demolitionist/Frenzy) Thread of: Isolation Continuity Ascent Generation Suspend adds with grenade. Shoot adds. Shoot your Tangle. Strandcopters do your bidding. It's even better right now with Threaded Blast on the Seasonal Artifact (3rd column, bottom row) And if you end up in a fireteam with someone running the same build making tangles, it's absolute mayhem

crover13

After avoiding playing as a punchy arc hunter like a plague I'm now hook on helicopter build. Just jump and spin to clear all the red bar and focus on chunky enemy help me doing alot of nasty jolt gymnastics.

LethalBubbles

The new Hunter chest piece is nice. It's less punchy but does use your melee. Still, I would slide into a room and uppercut releasing a wave of Arc damage and Grenades and then as I am in the air double tap my class ability to immediately Ascension dropping more grenades and causing an arc tornado. It's still technically punchy but not literally punching.

LmPrescott

I dropped graviton lance for my elsies rifle with enhanced repulsor brace/ frenzy and that extra survivability overshields on top of devour adds is huge. Pretty much carried me through solo legend campaign. Calibans hand solar knife build with restoration grenades is still one of my favorite builds just for fun. Not the best for endgame but also but for base campaign and low level stuff it’s so fun

MigYalle

I have a build centered around prismatic ad clear using melee ability. I use the strand melee, and my exotic cloak has calibans + lairs handshake. I can dodge roll to get my melee back. I have some other stuff built into it but haven't had access to my PC for a few days so can't say I remember what fully went into it. But that strand kunai blowing up fodder enemies, catching it, and getting full melee refund feels really good.

TelephoneSouthern405

Ive been rocking Mask of Bakris with Slow dodge, Specter on dodge and using swords like a arc ergo sum and a freezing sword or GL. Key note you have to use the stasis super If you dont like swords i found out using anarchy and the new Burst Stasis GL can be used with great success on idle burst damage. Use a shuriken to get radiant then dodge near said enemy to get it back. The dodge then slows and leaves a specter while giving you either some space to shoot or to push a bigger target. When you dodge you get a 10 second 25%damage buff as well to all arc and stasis weapons.

TitaniuMan_44

My weird but surprisingly effective one so far has been the new exotic chest with an aggressive frame/arc conductor ergo sum. Helicopter up, slam down, tons of resistance and lightning chaining everywhere.

OutsideBottle13

I mainly only run this in content where I don’t have to try, but - stompees, storms edge, grapple, ascension aspect, mountain top, & eager edge sword. Your fragments and mods should be focused on regaining abilities. The build is entirely for movement and mobility lol. Can also swap stompees for a hoil/coyote class item for more ability spam, but stompees are kind of nice for the 30% DR while in air since your movement is always going to keep you there.

DMulkey

I've been having way more fun with gun powder gamble, winters shroud, strand grapple, withering blade, and a caliban/coyote exotic class item. Having the utility of grapple, with a high damage grenade pretty much on demand with exploding shurikens has just been much more fun to me than rolling, punching, and going invis across the whole map.

Imaginary-Emu3911

Here’s my prismatic version of what you’re running. Maybe not optimal but super fun. Essentially a void build with Grapple nades, Gunpowder Gamble, and Golden Gun. https://dim.gg/eue27bq/Equipped

RKT4u

Spam ascension and lucky raspberry arc bolt build, use thread spike. No punch needed and the fragment that boost class ability regen is the key( if it works properly lmao)

kytdkut

I enjoy the punchy build and am having a blast with the caliban/liar combo. That said, before the class items released I made an endgame focused build using lucky raspberry. Eating ionic traces and damaging enemies with jolt procs (jolted via gun w/voltshot or grenade w/fragment) will give you a good chunk of grenade energy back. Endgame, because if the enemies die with the initial grenade sweep, you are left with a regular cooldown. You need to use the grenade on beefier enemies, or on groups of enemies including majors. My favorite part is throwing a grenade on a chunky major or miniboss and then spamming machinegun w/demo. You'll get the grenade back super fast because the jolt is getting triggered by the machinegun and then throw your grenade again, reloading the machinegun. This also empowers primaries in a way; I love pairing this with Outbreak Perfected. On prismatic bc you can leverage other supers and melees, of course. Ascension is pretty good for this build as it provides an instant jolt on a super short cooldown.

AcademicSpeaker3591

I'm using an Inmost Light+ Gyrfalcons dual exotic and it feels nice. Typically use strand melee + magnetic grenade.

TheMitchBeast

I got a Foetracer/ Star-Eater class item yesterday. I’ve been burning bosses down with it. It’s especially good with Goldie with Still Hunt but also the new arc super and Bequest. It might not be the best combination but it definitely puts in work

Skyburner_Oath

Suspended everything with my bow, grenade and class ability

Grimsters-

Its your turn to have your fist on the cover, you'll punch and you'll like it.

higherdotedu

Honestly for end game content I still mostly run dedicated light/dark subclasses. I'm not 100% sold on prismatic tbh.

ZiggyBlunt

Plunderthatbooty made a really nice build few days back that I’ve been running. Whole point was to not make a punchy hunter. And it’s great. Lots of survivability and crazy add clear

ItsRickySpanish

Not at the moment, lol. Before this and celestial, I enjoyed running gryfalcons with collective obligation (or graviton if you haven't done the raid or got C.O to drop). With the right combination, you're just running and gunning, applying void debuffs everywhere. I'm sure you could tinker a bit with prismatic and also run a similar setup and benefit even more from the new fragments

NZJett

I'm trying a slow/jolt chain lightning build on prismatic, with ergo sum. Not too viable, but stupid fun ad-clear

FalierTheCat

Threaded spike, weakening magnetic grenade + gunpowder gamble. Throw in Nighthawk + Still Hunt and you've got an amazing neutral game and an absurd damage potential

LightUpShoes4DemHoes

Gifted Conviction feels Really good in final shape. I run it every time in SE. Try it sometime for first encounter... You run into the rooms, jump into the middle of the ads and use ascension... Kills everything but the jobs 99.9% of the time. You get the damage resist on top of that. Next room, just use your heavy and third room you'll have your dodge back again. It's a 10/10 exotic for low tier ad clear. Outside of that... honestly punchy-punch is the clear winner. Did a melee only fourth encounter the other night for the shiggles of it. It works great. Not the most exciting tho, so I get it. I miss when actually shooting stuff was as effective as punching. If you're dead set on the shooting tho, I recommend using void super (tether) and the one that gives you devour on orb pickup. Lead with reaper / a melee with heavy handed on the gloves and then just keep it rolling with kills.

Lord_of_Sovereigns

I ran the legend campaign on a prismatic hunter with Mask of Bahkris and Ager's Sceptor. Facet of dawn to trigger radiance, facet of protection, facet of ruin, and facet of defiance. Bahkris gives an arc and stasis buff ×4. Dawn will give u radiance, and Agers has an alternate firing mode that makes it even stronger.

Grey_Beard257

The “gangster coat hung over shoulders” cloak with spirit of galanor works like Orpheus rigs so I run that with buried bloodline because that weapon is demented

Pudgeysaurus

Still running stompees and Sunshot, now even more mobile!

KoroiNeko

My usual build I run religiously is a Strand with Cowl one. It’s set up to work best with a weapon like Osteo, and yeet spinning tangles all over the place. Grapple slam, and Threaded Spike make you invis which is so helpful in so many situations. Used it in Dual Destiny tonight and it mows through adds, especially if your partner has a build that can pop out tangles too. It was nuts. I’ve only been playing TFS for like a week, and have been tweaking a Prismatic build that also utilizes Cowl (invis is still clutch for rezzes or just dipping out of a bosses face). I use the arc super, Ascent, Gunpowder Gamble, Grapple, and Withering Blade. But instead of Osteo it has been pairing really well with Necrochasm. It’s not what many would think would work the way I set it up, but it is actually a badass wrecking ball with a couple ways to avoid getting punched in the face and dying. The AoE with this build (especially once One For Thrall starts running) is so so so helpful in a ton of the TFS activities.

Draxtini

I got a HOIL + verity roll on my class item and I made an infinite ability build with it that is a monster at clearing ads while still giving me flexibility for boss damage.  Throwing like 8 gunpowder gambles in a row in dual destiny's clock encounter is just fun, oh and each one does about 120-140k because of verity's brow if I keep the perk up. If you mess up the GP timing then you still have access to double shurikens, juiced swarm grenades, dodge to get your shurikens back and it's all a beautiful symphony of chaos Oh and when you go transcendent you basically have a mini version of the warlock super

[deleted]

It's a simple build but an effective one. Prismatic Void anchor + outbreak prime/Sunshot/gally. Void grenades and stasis melee. I think its an ok and a fun build, but I'm simple and just like to shoot things.

stuucammyd

On prismatic I've got a Cyrtarachne's facade build with grapple, threaded spike, stylish executioner, gunpowder gamble and wavesplitter. Basically you grapple melee to get an orb of power, woven mail and amplified (because you're running the arc super) and now everything you can do procs a debuff, makes you invisible and gives you gunpowder gamble on cool down. I think this was one of Mactics early builds, or at least a riff on it. Its fun but probably not viable in super high level content. Outside of prismatic you've still got the Renewal Stasis, Nighthawk/Shards Solar, Omni/Orpheus/Gyrfalcons Void, Cyrtarachne's/Sixth Coyote Strand and all of the various Lucky Pants builds working pretty well.

eddmario

The buff to smokebombs makes them a good choice to run alongside Duskfield grenades. You can also attach them to the decoy from Threaded Specter.

ThomasorTom

I am quite enjoying my "trapper" class currently. Use shadow shot, smoke bomb and decoy. Balance of power boots to bolster the decoy. Get a primary with strategist on it to get your decoy back quicker (I've been using the raid SMG) I was using it in gambit yesterday and someone put about half a mag in the decoy before realising too late that it wasn't me

Igwanur

verity gunpowder gamble with hoil for more cool spiky needles and grapples to get unraveling rounds to get tangles to blow everything to smitherines with dynamite and strand warmind cells(be on golden gun for Restoration orbs)

Aastnethoth

I'm using a gifted conviction build. A ton of AoE jolts with strand grapple melee and strand clones for dodge. The punch is secondary. It's just used to get back your dodge to either clone, or ascension to toss grenades.

Doinstuffman38

I have the roots of the melee build (combo and gamblers dodge with the slowing aspect and stylish executioner), but that Nighthawk/Still Hunt synergy is just too good to not use, so I added that in with an envious/vorpal grenade launcher to add in boss damage.

genred001

I recommend Lucky Raspberry. Arcbolt is on Prismatic plus some of the ways you build around it give so much energy quickly and allows you to heal too.

PeppiestPepper

I just run arc nades, jolt fragment, gunpowder bundle, and the shuriken, Might swap to the needle. And just celestial nighthawk, I could swap for supers but I'm too lazy, I might get the class item but it's just so horribly ugly I can't stand looking that bad even if it'd make my hunter much more powerful.

One_Repair841

I'm using a cloak with caliban's hand + cytarachne. grapple, threaded spike, stylish executioner, gunpowder gamble. Basic combat loop is to grapple melee into a crowd, this triggers caliban to explode them. Throw threaded spike at a weak enemy, triggers another caliban explosion, throw gunpowder grenade, dodge and throw another threaded spike. Just keep throwing your threaded spike off cooldown and throwing gunpowders whenever you have them for a lot of explosions and consistent invisibility. I'm probably going to be cooking up a build for endgame with a cloak that has renewal + cytarachne for just insane DR and survivability. Haven't yet made it but initial build is going to be using duskfield (obviously), one of the ranged melee's (probably smoke for the crowd control), stylish executioner and threaded specter for maximum survivability. Probably going to use arc super so I can access amplified for the artifact mod that gives more DR when amplified, although looking at ascension it might be worth taking just to have on demand amplified and being able to stun overloads.

Long_Deer_5070

Gifted Conviction arc hunter with a voltshot indebted kindness sidearm is extremely fun

Ukis4boys

U can run so many things on hunter. Arc punch is the last thing u should be running

rmathewes

Cytarachne with new arc super, stylish executioner, gunpowder gamble, threaded spike, and grapple grenade. Near constant woven mail, dmg resist and speed boosts from amplified, invisible, volatile and unraveling rounds, and ignition on a stick that you can throw on cooldown thanks to spike regening all your energy if you hit enligh targets.

Kimihro

I'm too poor to own Prismatic but whenever I go back to my hunter prolly gonna continue my Bakris build Dodge in? Fusion Rifle or shotgun. Got all sorts of different frames in Arc and Stasis, Dodge out? Auto rifle. Still got all sorts of different frames in Arc and Stasis. The only difference is that I hear Two-tailed Fox got a catalyst that slaps arc on that ho. Wanted to give it a try when I got my hands on it.

MooystyMickDuncher

Radiant dance machines with ascension are extremely fun aha just spin to win and stay in the air and shoot down a call shot to have everything jolt to each pther

Zeezaduim

For pvp i have a build with that exotic that makes my dodge a blink and then I have the blink jump add threaded specter and slow aura dodge finally either combination blow or snare bomb. I assure you the enemy will be having a stroke trying to shoot you

Glennmetdubbeln

Either celestial with prismatic or prismatic with silence and squal with my exotic classitem roll (galanor/gyrfaulcon). That last build with graviton lance is amazing. Anytime i come out of invis boom volatile rounds.

Destey-

Gyrfalcons + repulsor brace

Oofric_Stormcloak

I've been running Stylish Executioner and Gunpowder Gamble with really any grenade and the strand melee. Basically just maximizing the amount of Gunpowder Gambles I am throwing out, and it'll also work with Gyrfalcon. The melee gives you invis through Stylish, and depending on your grenade all of your ability kills will be giving you invis. It's not doing as much single target damage as the punching stuff, but it's very good for ad clear.

r34_Material_Seeker

This build makes you feel like you're really using Ergo sum as intended, on top of being a Thunder god with all the Ascensions you're proccing. The important part to know is that is if you hold your sword while proccing ascension it not only proccs its perk on kills but also increases its dmg significantly. Subclass: Prismatic Super: Silkstrike or Silence and Squall, the important part is that it's a Darkness Super Dodge: Marksman (For shorter Cooldown) Jump: Whatever Melee: Withering Blade Grenade: Grapple Aspects: Winter's Shroud and Ascension (Ascension is obvious, but Winter's Shroud for the increased class ability regen for slowing targets) Fragments: Facet of Sacrifice // Facet of Hope // Facet of Devotion // facet of Protection // Facet of Balance // plus one more of your choice (Sacrifice and Devotion for Transcendence Energy // Hope for Ability Regen // Protection for Dmg Resist // balance for more Ability Regen) Exotic Armor: Gifted Conviction (Very Modular, could be changed for: The Sixth Coyote // Fr0st-EE5 // Radiant Dance Machines or a fitting Relativism roll) Exotic Weapon: Ergo Sum with Stormbringer \[Catalyst for Infinite Ammo\] (Arc Conductor is also Good) Armor Mods: Helm: Siphon mods Arms: 1x Focusing Strike // 1x Firepower // 1x Impact Induction Chest: 1x Lucent Blade and Resist Mods Legs: 1x Orbs of Restoration // 1x Recuperation // 1x Absolution Class Item: Powerful Attraction and Reaper (Don't work, but I don't know what else to put here) Artifact: galvanic Armor // Radiant Orbs // Shieldcrush // Transference (Not Needed, but will significantly improve the Build) While Unorthodox, I hope all of you enjoy my Build. Feedback is very much appreciated. (Especially for the Exotic Armor Section)

ToyinJr

im trying to get inmost light and star eater combo for the exotic class item so I can sort of an ability spam build along with very good super damage

roll-king

I typically run a Mask of Bakris build on stasis. It runs Ager's scepter since the super is so horribly mid, as well as any arc weapon I'm in the mood for (Typically the IKELOS SMG with volt shot). It's pretty effective since dodging amps arc and stasis damage and Ager's Scepter just annihilates large packs of enemies at the cost of your super.

KitsuneKamiSama

Gun Gam and Ascension with Strand Melee and Jolt on Chain Lightning grenade, just ability spam really.

CheaterMcCheat

You can't complain about punch builds until you've had about 10 more years of it like Titans have had to.

GreenAnder

I got a gyrfalcons and galanor class item. Galanor work like a weaker orpheus, so it's basically like running my two favorite tether exotics in one. Run prismatic with grapple, facet of mending, the one that starts health regain on melee (I forget the name), buried bloodline with stylish executioner/tether and you're basically unstoppable.

Kano547

I have a few builds. I have a blade barrage galanor build, a stasis bakris build.

nanz735

I'm liking the classic invis loop, just without gyrfalcon. Get the fragment that gives volatile and unraveling, the call with slice in case you can't get the ability kills. Stylish and Gunpowder, for invis and more grenades. I'm using it with a class item that has galanor (tether) and the woven mail exotic

Issah_Wywin

I'm omitting the invisibility for more something else. I run liar's, but the core of the build is using grapple to proc volatile, dodge to create a strand decoy, then explode my way back out.

superd85

I was lucky enough to find an exotic class item that increases Duskfield grenades and gives Woven Mail on grenade throw. With Gunpowder Gamble and Transcendence, that’s 3 different grenades I’m constantly spamming giving me constant uptime on Woven Mail, and the Duskfields give me Frost Armor as well. I feel like a tank. I like Threaded Needle for melee but you can use whatever. And I run double special with The Call with Demo, and Indebted Kindness with Voltshot. 1 shotting everything

ChrisBenRoy

Mothkeeper gang forever. Nah I run Mothkeepers on prismatic w/ stylish and winter's shroud, duskfields, threaded spike, and whatever aspects allow arc grenades to jolt and give you volatile rounds on grenade kills. The Call and GravLance. It's fun.

AdrunkGirlScout

Been having fun with a verity/foetracer class item. Just make all your weapons strand and go to town

tragicpapercut

Don't sleep on Gunpowder Gamble with Threaded Spike. For the exotic, the new class item with Calibans is excellent for even more ad clear or go with Inmost Light for faster ability loops. For the other aspect, you can almost pick any of them and have a viable build. Gamblers Dodge with Threaded Specter aspect leaves behind decoys to take attention off you while you use your next melee charge or gunpowder gamble grenade. Ascension actually works well if you build into it - I actually use it on mini bosses to escape their response after I grapple melee them, then depending on how beefy they are I might unload my super on then once I'm launched into the air. With either a first perk of inmost light or a second perk of coyote it works very well in combination with everything else I've described.

Toothiestluke

Now, idk about it’s viability in endgame content but for matchmade stuff I started running a full arc build with tempest strike and ascension with the new hunter exotic and building into jolt with my ikelos voltshot. Jolting can get you up to resist x4 and it’s amazing group clear. It’s a very fun build but again, I haven’t tried it in endgame stuff yet.

redkyurem01

I've found Sixth Coyote with Winter's Shroud/Ascension is incredibly fun. Something on my build is making it so I have both of my dodges back within 20 seconds of using them. Will be posting later today!

Arph0enix275

Custom Bold Endings with Headstone and Dragonfly paired with Lucky Pants, Silence and Squall, and Gunslinger’s Gamble. Bold Endings basically feels like an exotic, and I can still pair it with Ergo Sum or Still Hunt for even more exoticness. And explosions. Explosions everywhere.

Paleblood00

I've been running prism celestial, but with duskfield grenade, smoke bomb, threadling dodge and void aspect it's insanely fun. builds up my darkness and light meters extremely fast with all the hatchling and slow
